3. KUCHIKI BYAKUYA — SENBONZAKURA KAGEYOSHI

Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (千本桜景厳, Vibrant Display of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms) To activate it, Byakuya drops his sword straight down; the sword does not have to be completely intact for Byakuya to activate his Bankai, as he can simply drop all the pieces at once with both hands. The sword phases into the ground, as though it were a pool of water. Energy ripples expand out, turning the surrounding area dark, and within seconds, two rows of a thousand giant blades rise up from the ground. Those thousand swords scatter, and countless flying blades pierce the enemy. No one knows the exact number of blades generated, and no one can dodge or even see the movements of these blades. The number of blades is great enough that Byakuya can simultaneously use them for offense and defense. He commonly forms them into large masses to obliterate opponents instantaneously. As they move through the air like torrents of waves, they give the appearance of cherry blossoms flowing swiftly along the wind.

I find it kinda funny in the Fullbringer Arc when Tsukishima is being all "I know all about your fighting style now", when talking about Byakuya's Safe Zone and how to counteract it by actually going forward instead of trying to avoid the petals from Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, because THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT ICHIGO DID ON THE SOKYUKU HILL DUELL!

"Who told you about my safe zone?"

No one, my good bitch! He saw everything he needed to see in your Sokyuku Hill memories!

I think it's pretty clear that Senbonzakura's personality is clearly supposed to be a representation of the personality Byakuya represses. It's obvious to me, especially considering some of Byakuya's bad traits, such as being so dense you wouldn't know the problem if it was a note attached to a brick thrown at your head, or his awful temper, or his really bad lying that everyone somehow believes, are all directly reflected in Senbonzakura.

That makes the scene where Senbonzakura got shit faced drunk at the Squad 10 barracks really funny to think about.

Still on the subject of me absolutely hating Äs Nödt's SA in BBS and how the designers sometimes suck so much...

Me and my son (of course) brainstorming powers that Äs Nödt should have had instead of the insult that it is giving him Senbonzakura Kageyoshi:

The Tatar Foras as Super Attack that would produce confusion and Instakill

A vortex of flies

Throwing the blue spikes and confusing/freezing the enemies

Things that he should not have:

100% freeze resistance (The fuck? That's how he died...)
