okay, since i've already hinted who i'm thinking of jiyan) how about you drop some info on him for once c:

what made you pay special attention to him? what made you fall for another? (physical, emotional, whatever)

who made the first move?

how did all the firsts with jiyan happen?

i'm kicking my feet at this ask because he's so fine and i have been silently watching you fall deeper and deeper >:)

okay so for a bit of context, my wuwa insert is a midnight ranger who originates from mingting, the capital of huanglong. i was a part of their military force before transferring to the midnight rangers in jinzhou. i quickly work my way up to be vanguard captain, all while jiyan is the general ofc :]

1. a relationship between leaders in our line of work is highly inappropriate, therefore, the attention i gave him was only ever professional. THEREFORE, we’re a slowburn. as vanguard captain, i constantly report to jiyan and (fortunately) work in close proximity with him which means i’m exposed to his breaks of character more often. 🥺 overtime, i begin to see my general in a new light for this exact reason. the first i felt my heart squeeze was when i saw a nurse bandaging a cut on his arm and he accidentally fell asleep for 3 seconds in his seat due to exhaustion. another time was when i was sparring with him and i was only able to get a hit in bc he purposely misstepped to avoid crushing a patch of flowers. they’re not groundbreaking but that definitely made me more curious about the softer side of him. i think that’s why i fall for him: because underneath his duties and obligations, he’s a very empathetic and selfless man. he also doesn’t shy away from being vulnerable. our trope is ‘i fell first, he fell harder’ and i think he’d fall for me bc 🥺 i think i could bring out the side of him that lets him relax and have fun, be a bit more selfish without guilt, the side that allows him to rely on others a bit more. he talks about his death a lot, but i’ll be there to remind him that people need him to stay alive too 🥺 he canonically has no clue where to go for entertainment in jinzhou so maybe he learns to enjoy the little pleasures in life again. he once did! but that was long ago…

(bonus: i have a personal hc that he’s not inexperienced with romance but he gets very awkward when he starts to pursue me lololl)

2. ermmm hmmm who made the first move? me unintentionally. him intentionally. like i said we’re slow burn so by the time we get together, many moves have already been made (we’re just blind to it or pretend to be). i won’t be outright flirty but i joke around with him when we’re comfortable enough and maybe this’ll lead to me unintentionally slipping a comment that sticks with him. perhaps i’ll half jokingly tell him i find it difficult to believe he’s not married because he possesses the demeanour of a devoted husband, which leaves jiyan thinking ‘what did she mean by that???’ for the rest of the day LOLL. and with him, he makes the first move by taking advantage of his general status. he stations me nearby his areas and maybe even decides to patrol with me even when he’s technically off the clock. if i get injured, he checks up on me personally even though we have a whole team of medics.

3. i’ll only be answering for our first kiss today bc everything else needs a bit more thought 👉👈 and this is already so long orz. so our first kiss was initiated by me and is actually what became the catalyst for finally becoming official. it’s dramatic as fuck too LMAO. okay so it happens when our troops are on an extremely high-risk mission which turns critical very fast. we end up separating from our units, so it’s just him and i until a final battle breaks out with the enemies. it’s a tough one. although we emerge victorious but only by the skin of our teeth bc jiyan pulled some sacrificial bs (without warning me beforehand) and it nearly cost him his life. so i drag him away from the carnage, and when we’re finally somewhere safe, i get on my knees and check his throat for a pulse. there’s a weak beat but i feel relieved. i cover up the deep gash on his side and call him reckless and many other string of curses (he isn’t usually reckless, im still shocked at what he did!). to my utter disbelie, jiyan finds the strength to tighten his arm around my waist and sluggishly pull me closer as i’m patching him up. i keep berating him but eventually i end up hovering over his chest. he tries to say something like “i’m sorry” or “it won’t happen again” but before i can stop myself, i’m already leaning down, my forehead is pressed against his and our lips brush jshsbsjdhdjdhdbdjdjdn you could say that was me telling him i’m thankful he’s still alive. and we allow ourselves to continue like that for only a short while bc he’s still injured as hell 💀 later, when he’s eventually all healed up, he tells me he remembers everything and we have a conversation about what happens next (spoiler: we date!)

Whatever pressure she felt within the walls of Mondstadt, they always were lifted once they passed the big opening. Stepped foot on the bridge and saw the big, wide usual green - now white - scenery of the nation. Though danger lurked out there, Taru knew that there was nothing to worry about. The two of them, alone but also together, were strong enough to travel out there peacefully. It was quiet, with only the snow’s crunching echoing through icy air, whenever they stepped on it. Confident in her own skills, Taru left her vision in their home. Had she survived for the longest time without it after all - but she wanted to feel what such winter was like. How it was to feel the cold, that was still warmer than in Snezhnaya or Dragonspine, how it was to feel the warmth while walking beside somebody she… loved.

Loved? The thought about that word alone, caused her heart to race. Unable to focus on anything at all, as she was too lost in her own thoughts. Some people in Mondstadt would say that it helped to send out prayers to Barbatos but, by the abyss. She knew their archon - and feared that he’d only make things worse.

It was the sensation of something crashing against her back that caused her to come back to reality. Eyes widened, for she didn’t know for a moment what it was. However, a glance at her boyfriend and she understood that he had thrown snow at her - snowballs they were called, if she remembered right. She had once watched kids in Snezhnaya from afar, how they’d throw those at each other. But never participated in those herself.

“Seriously, you…”, she groaned, her cheeks dipped in a rosy hue from the cold. Instead of throwing back one of those balls made of snow, the female sprinted towards him. Tackling him down to the ground with a huff. But a playful smirk appeared on her lips.

ok what i'm envisioning for a sywin and ryuvier double date: a boujie dinner party at your gorgeous shared home since it's more spacious. but the kicker is that all 4 of us will be doing the hard yards and cooking dinner ourselves! could sylus easily hire a private chef? yes. should he? still yes. it's a shitshow. but it's the bonding time that matters, right?

xavier and i would not be doing well :// you know how we are. and sylus would be nursing his wine the entire time while continuously reminding everybody that it's still not too late to hire a chef (very helpful, thank you sylus). you, however, insist this will turn out fabulous (it does), but not without questioning how the hell we haven't starved to death when we're both this bad in the kitchen. anyways, we eventually get our tummies full and the mess is over.

after dinner, we’d get into a few games. i think we’d switch between card games and console games. but i have to say - you, sylus, and xavier make me look like a saint bc i've never been in a room with such competitive people. AND I'M COMPETITIVE. it actually left me quite afraid (jk). despite all that, we all have money to splash so this may or may not involve honing in a bit of pocket change ;) it’s fun when stakes are high

i don't really think any couple is annoying, altho xavier and i may have been a bit troublesome in the first half LMAO. AND YEAH WE'RE ABSOLUTELY SWAPPING PARTNERS BY THE END. if sylus doesn't let me snatch you, then i'll make a scene, i'm being so serious. the boys need to somehow get along while we mingle 🤷🏻‍♀️ they’re also going to have to take photos for us. one of them is taking the photos, the other is using the flash 📸 because that’s what partners are for!

Money definitely didn't come easy, given the type of job they had. Odd jobs, as in various random things people would ask of them. It wasn't often people came to them for random jobs, which meant money also wasn't something they often had. Especially since this idiot often spent it on gambling, which was frustrating. Well, it wasn't like they starved. Too often anyway. Kagura had a monstrous appetite, and ate most of the food. When her brother wasn't visiting, doing it himself, the bastard. Kagura still, immensely enjoyed being here with her Earth family. A poor adult figure, and a stupid otaku who sometimes played mom and cleaned the apartment when visiting.

Kagura leaned against Gintoki's arm comfortably, huffing as they soaked in the heat which felt nice. Edo was so cold lately, maybe global warming or something. She didn't understand that crap.
