Google Just Remove Your Favorite GMB Feature! You Won’t Believe What Happened Next! 😱
Hey there, fellow digital marketers and small business owners! Buckle up, because Google’s been playing musical chairs with our beloved Google Business Profile features again. And let me tell you, it’s wilder than a cat trying to catch a laser pointer on a trampoline!
The Great Google Goofening of 2024
So, what’s the latest casualty in Google’s spring cleaning frenzy? Drumroll, please… 🥁
Google has decided to say “bye-bye” to the good ol’ Q&A feature on Google Business Profiles!
That’s right, folks! The feature that brought us such gems as “Do you sell pancakes?” on a car dealership’s profile and “Is this a good place to hide from the police?” on a public library’s page is now sleeping with the fishes.
But why, Google, why? Well, according to their official statement:
“We’ve found that 87% of questions were actually just people trying to ask Siri for directions while accidentally typing into Google. The other 13% were divided between actual questions and people trying to order pizza from hardware stores.”
The Fallout: Local SEOs in mess-up mode!
Local SEO experts worldwide are now scrambling to find new ways to boost engagement. Some have resorted to standing outside businesses with megaphones, shouting, “ASK US ANYTHING!” Talk about old school marketing, am I right?
One distraught SEO professional, who wishes to remain anonymous (let’s call him Definitely-Not-Bob), had this to say:
“First, they took away our ability to stuff keywords into business names. Then they limited our photo uploads to prevent ‘accidental’ stock image invasions. And now this? What’s next? Will they make us actually visit the businesses we’re optimizing? The horror!”
But Wait, There’s More!
In true Google fashion, they’re not just taking away features. Oh no, they’re also adding some… interesting ones. Let’s take a look at what’s new in 2024:
AI-Powered Business Description Generator: Now your hardware store can sound like a poetry slam gone wrong! “Nails sharp as wit, hammers heavy as heartbreak, we’ve got your DIY dreams covered.”
Mood Lighting Integration: Your business hours now change color based on your Google review rating. Hit 4.5 stars, and you’re bathed in a soothing green. Dip below 3? Enjoy that anxiety-inducing red glow!
Review Karaoke: Customers can now sing their reviews. Because nothing says “great dental experience” like a root canal patient belting out their feedback to the tune of “I Will Survive.”
The Silver Lining
Look on the bright side! With Q&A gone, you’ll no longer have to answer riveting questions like:
“Is this really a funeral home or can I host my kid’s birthday party here?”
“Do you sell left-handed screwdrivers?” (Asked to a right-handed screwdriver store, obviously.)
“Is your yoga studio gluten-free?”
In Conclusion
As we mourn the loss of yet another Google Business Profile feature, remember: change is the only constant in the world of SEO. Well, that and the crushing existential dread of algorithm updates.
So, chin up, digital warriors! Adapt, overcome, and maybe consider opening that left-handed screwdriver store. I hear there’s a gap in the market!
Stay tuned for our next article: “10 Ways to Optimize Your Google Business Profile Using Interpretive Dance and Morse Code.” It’s going to be a banger! 💃📟

Rules for creating intuitive user interfaces
Tumblr media
As humans, we interact with user interfaces every day, from smartphone screens to ATMs and websites. An impressive user interface is not only essential for the efficiency and pleasure of working, but also for the functionality and usefulness of an application or product. As per website development agency in India, the key principles that guide user interface design primarily focus on optimizing the user experience.
From simplicity and clarity that reduces cognitive load, to consistency that fosters familiarity, to feedback that communicates progress and results, each principle is designed to make interfaces intuitive, logical, and accessible so users can achieve their goals in a timely manner can track. transparent way. As interfaces become indispensable parts of our daily lives, the art of designing for users, not technology, becomes even more important for creating products and services that really impress.
Therefore, timeless design principles are still essential to create compelling user interfaces for humans, not machines.
Rules for creating intuitive user interfaces
Good UI design is like magic: when done right, it goes away. Benefit from a clean and intuitive design and reach your goal without noticing hours of hard work. These eight UI design principles will help you create UIs that work.
Transparency and Simplicity
The hallmark of great design is simplicity, and simplicity begins with clarity. Show users exactly what they need to achieve their goals without getting distracted. As Leonardo da Vinci wisely said, "Simplicity is the supreme sophistication." Simple user interfaces create intuitive products that engage users and meet their needs. For example, popular apps like Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest have incredibly simple user interfaces that allow users to complete their tasks with ease. They eliminate redundant options and only focus on the basic features that users want.
Let the white space breathe
White space - unmarked areas on the user interface - is for visual purposes. It makes elements stand out and creates a visual respite that helps users process information more easily. Steve Jobs said: "Simplicity can be more difficult than complexity: you have to work hard to clarify your thinking and simplify everything."pioneered the minimalist technology movement by eliminating everything unnecessary and focusing only on what was essential. Apple products like the iPhone set the standard for clarity and simplicity with an elegant and intuitive design.
Use consistent typography
Incompatible fonts cause confusion. Choose one font for paragraphs and another for headings. Stick to this typographic style throughout the UI for consistency. Legible fonts like Verdana and Georgia help users read and process information quickly and easily.
Statistics show that 60% of websites use sans serif fonts in headers, led by Arial, Verdana, Lucida Grande and Helvetica. These include brands such as CNN, ArsTechnica, Slate, BBC and NewScientist. The absence of traces and spaces gives these font families a clean and direct style, making the text easy to read even at small sizes. Despite a slight decline, sans serif fonts still dominate when it comes to catching the attention of top readers..
Offer known user workflows
When registration forms, checkout processes, navigation menus, and common tasks follow familiar workflows that users have seen elsewhere, they can perform tasks efficiently and confidently. Minimizing the user's cognitive load through consistency improves the overall user experience and leads to higher conversion rates.
Benefits of consistency and familiarity with UI design include: Easier onboarding of new users Intuitive navigation that requires minimal learning
Fewer user errors Increased perceived ease of use and confidence in the product. In addition, consistency helps establish and strengthen brand identity. By using similar design patterns, interactions, and language across all interfaces, you create a distinctive experience that matches your tone, voice, and corporate messages.
This consistency will drive awareness and loyalty to your brand over time. Therefore, prioritize consistency in the small details and overall design to ensure a smooth, human-centric user experience.
Flexibility and Responsiveness
flexibility and responsiveness are two core UI design principles that provide users with an optimized experience across devices and in all contexts.By taking a mobile-first approach, building scalable interfaces, and using responsive techniques, you can adhere to the following principles:Adopt a mobile-first approach"As of May 2023, 67.81% of all web visits were now on mobile devices, compared to 32.19% on desktop computers." Designing for mobile screens brings flexibility to the core of the user interface.
Responsive techniques such as smooth grids, media queries, and responsive images allow a single design to display beautifully on screens of all sizes. As the use of mobile devices extends well beyond desktop computers and more than two-thirds of web traffic now comes from smartphones and tablets, a mobile approach has become essential to meet user needs in different contexts.According to Google, mobile searches surpassed desktop searches for the first time in 2015, indicating a significant user shift to mobile devices.
Build scalable interfaces
As per web development company in Kolkata Responsive UI theme uses UI elements that scale proportionally, from icons and text to containers and images.layouts with relative units, percentages, and smooth grids can be dynamically resized to any screen width while remaining readable for users. Responsive layouts optimize the user experience on any device resolution and eliminate the need for separate mobile and desktop interfaces.
The following Scaleflex responsive header images demonstrate the power of adaptive imagery, ensuring that the key visual element, the car, remains sharp and centered across devices. As the screen size decreases, only the less important elements of the environment are removed, leaving the main subject crystal clear.
To ensure flexible user interface design:
Use responsive design techniques decisions about fluid systems and percentages
Use scalable interface elements
Provide multiple interaction modes
Share content with all users
Other best practices by web design company Kolkata include offering interactive and voice-based interactions to accommodate users with disabilities. With Dynamic Font, you can easily scale the font size to improve readability. And testing the design on a variety of devices will reveal flexibility gaps that can be addressed with adaptive techniques.

🎼 TRICK FT. S. CHANGBIN : KUTE
"i think you're kute..!"
Tumblr media
"I think you're cute." The words seem to come out of nowhere. You look over at your boyfriend, who's just scrolling on his phone.
"Where did that come from?" You ask him. His head perks up and his eyes meet yours.
"I don't think I tell you it enough," He says, "But I just really like you. Dont ever think you're ugly."
Changbin remembers the early stages of your relationship, where you had voiced your insecurities about your appearance to him. Since then, he's been trying to help you love yourself. Love yourself the way he loves you.
"You show me it, though," You laugh, recounting all the times he was incredibly clingy towards you. Not like you minded though. "I guess you're cute too, binnie."
A big grin emerges on his face as he pulls you closer to him. "I know I am," He giggles, "We're both pretty cute, right?" He peppers kisses all over your face.
"Yeah, we are!"

I hate you 8-5 job
I hate you mental illness
I hate you exhaustion
I hate you capitalism
I hate you bills
I hate you fucked up left wrist that needs a specialist
Every single thing listed above is a weight pressing on my chest that prevents me from getting up and reaching my true height.
I loathe how almost every moment of my day is packed and I have no energy to create art when I DO have time. I hate it I hate it I hate it! I want to wake up and get coffee and sit at a nice desk covered in plants in my home and have natural light coming in through my window! I want to draw characters I know people will love, write stories that make people feel seen, loved, happy, or hurt. I want to tell my cat I'm not leaving again and I'm spending my days with him so his short life isn't wasted waiting for me to get home to then be too exhausted to properly play with him! I want to enjoy cooking again! I want to see green trees and smell fresh air! I want to wake up and not immediately be hit with dread about debt, my job, the politics trying to kill my community!
I WANT TO HEAL AND LIVE BUT AMERICAN CAPITALISM IS FUCKING STUPID.

Trick or treat! 🎃
🍬 Treat! Here's an excerpt from Houses Full of Deceit (between the soju incident and this, Leo really isn't having a good time with Korean cuisine):
Yo-han spent the night in the spare bed. He got up early, checked on the still-sleeping Colman, and began making breakfast. He finished his own soup before getting another bowl and bringing it into the bedroom. Colman was awake now. He had taken one of Yo-han's books, which meant he must have got up and walked across the room. It was a list of court cases from 1910, but judging by Colman's frown he didn't understand a word. With Yo-han's help he managed to sit up enough to hold the bowl. He eyed the soup dubiously as he picked up the spoon. Two realisations struck Yo-han at once. One, he always had kimchi soup for breakfast at home and it hadn't occurred to him to make something else for Colman. Two, Colman was a foreigner. "It's spicy!" he shouted, just as Colman took his first spoonful. Yo-han could see the exact moment Colman tasted the kimchi. His eyes widened, his face turned red, and he made a choking sort of sound. Yo-han was briefly afraid he'd have to perform first aid. Colman recovered enough to speak. He gave Yo-han an unamused look. It might have been more intimidating if his eyes weren't watering. "You did that on purpose." Yo-han shook his head, suddenly seized with a ridiculous desire to laugh. "No, it was a mi… a mistake…" He dissolved into helpless giggles at the memory of Colman's reaction. After a minute Colman joined in.

let's go, slowbro! (7/7)
summary: With every status change inflicted onto his Pokémon, Changbin finds himself inside Levanter's Pokémon Center to get them healed. There he meets Seungmin, the nurse on duty that has a Yamper's bark, a Gible's bite, and a quirky personality that makes Changbin feel like he's been dropped smack dab in battle.
Nevertheless, Seungmin is a fun guy to chat with, and Changbin looks forward to seeing him every time. But he can't explain the odd feelings that begin to develop as his stay at Levanter goes long: his heart going Rapidash-fast, his skin pinkening to the color of a Clefairy, his mind a jumbled mess whenever he enters the Center...
Maybe Changbin's Pokémon aren't the only ones being affected?
pairing: seungbin (seungmin/changbin)
rating: G

———-
"So, do you have everything packed?"
In response to Changbin's question, Seungmin just stares at him, open-mouthed and blank. He's on the floor, surrounded by mountains of crumpled clothes: shirts and sweaters and socks inharmoniously spread about. His hair is a mess. He woke up an hour ago and hasn't brushed it, apparently using that as an excuse to stay inside and deal with... all this. At the foot of his bed, his backpack is completely empty.
