Your legs are crossed, right over left; back rigid as you try to maintain your composure. To anyone else in the room, your behaviour would have seemed normal. After all, women crossed their legs all the time out of habit or politeness. It was nothing out of the ordinary….or it wouldn’t have been if your legs had been crossed for any other reason that to quell the throb budding in your underwear.
You were better than this. You were a strong, independent woman. You were one of the two partners of Park & Min. A lawyer, a ridiculously good one at that; with one foot in the underground crime syndicate and the other on the necks of every prosecutor in Seoul. In this city, your name had to hold weight for you to survive…and yours was heavy enough to burden tongues. You made sure of it.
You had spent years getting your shit together, yet somehow, all it took was one look from him for you to fall apart.
You had first met Agust back when you were nothing but a decoy for the Itaewon dragons. The Itaewon dragons were one of the most feared gangs in Seoul, run by one of the most unassuming men you’d ever met. They sold everything from party drugs to cocaine to people. That’s where you had come in.
“Are you sure you want to do this noona?” The man before you asked as soon as the door shut. “You could get stabbed, or shot, or raped…oh my god this could end so fucking badly”
His teeth worried at his lip, the metal of his piercing hit against his teeth but he didn’t notice. He never did when he got anxious.
You tutted at him and walked over to where he stood. You looped a hand around his neck, urging him to look down at you and used your thumb to pull his bottom lip from between his teeth.
“Breathe Bun,” you said gently, rubbing soothing circles on his back.
His shoulders sagged and he dropped his head into your shoulders. He took a deep breath, shuddering a bit when he exhaled.
“ I don’t want to do this noona, I don’t want any of this. I just want to go back to art school” he said with a whine, a petulant pout on his lips. You resisted the urge to coo at him.
“I know bun, but it’s only for a little while hm? Just until your hyung gets back right?”
“Mhm hm” he mumbled, not ready to lift his head from the comfort of your warmth.
“So just let Noona do this so you can get it out the way in time to finish your project hm?”
He sighed against you and wrapped his hands tighter around your waist, pulling you closer to him. Time was going, but he needed the tactile comfort to ground him and so you let him have it for a few more minutes.
“Okay, now put your poker face on and let’s go do a drug heist Kook”
The plan was simple. You, Jungkook and the other dragons were supposed to meet up with some lackeys from D Town who had been interested enough in the “sexy foreigner” they had seen Jungkook parade around with to strike a deal with their mortal enemies. 15 kilos of pure white booger sugar for one night with you is what they offered.
It was insulting to think that they thought you had fallen for such a ruse. They knew that Seokjin wouldn’t have fallen for it, that’s why they waited until Jungkook had taken the reins. Jungkook might have been younger and less experienced, but he was no fool.
You would meet them and the specified location, demand a show of the product and then when they asked for you in return, the dragons would kill them and take the coke. It was foolproof, or at least it had been until the sky decided that it was the perfect time to burst and started to rain.
The dragons had the D town boys surrounded, guns drawn and pointed right at their heads. The sudden downpour had thrown everyone off-kilter and in the blink of an eye, you had found yourself with a knife to your throat and a gun pressed to your hip.
“LET HER GO YOU FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT”
Jungkook yelled over the clap of thunder that rolled overhead.
“ONE MORE STEP AND I KILL THE BITCH AND YOU” the man screamed.
Jungkook froze in his spot a glare on his face to conceal the dread he truly felt about the situation.
The man started backing away with you in tow only to freeze when he bumped into a hard chest. The smell of newports and the tiniest hint of…tangerine? Hit you both at the same time and you felt the man holding you start quivering.
“Having a bit of fun without me Jaehyuck?” came a low, deep voice; words gravely as if he hadn’t spoken all day.
“N-no Ag- n-no sir” he replied, hands trembling so much that he dropped the knife
“Really? Because it looks to me like you stole my product and tried to buy someone with it…” he spat.
The heel of his boots clicked on the paved rooftop as he circled the man holding you.
“What are my two rules Jaehyuck?” He asked, no demanded.
“N-never involve w-women and children s-sir”
“Now unless I’ve completely lost sight in my right eye and my left one has decided to start playing tricks on me… that’s a woman you’re holding…is it not?”
The man let go of you immediately, falling to his knees to plead with the man looking down at him with utter disgust.
You should have grabbed the coke and run over to Jungkook while they were both distracted, but you just couldn’t look away from your dark saviour.
You watched enthralled as he reached into the pocket of his coat, and you braced yourself for him to take out a gun of some sort; only to be confused when he pulled out a pair of red chopsticks instead.
The man seemed to recognize the utensils though, in fact, he seemed terrified of them.
“Beg for forgiveness.” Said the scarred man.
“I’m so s-sorry s-“
“Not from me you imbecile, from her”
To his credit, the man did beg for your forgiveness with so much sincerity and desperation that you almost felt sorry for him. But Scarface didn’t care. He used his chopstick on Jaehyuck in ways you had never seen before, ways you hadn’t known were possible. It should have scared you, but you had never felt more intrigued by a singular person in your entire life .
And when he was done, he held his chopsticks out so the rain could wash them off, bowed to you and offered you the coke as an apology (not that you weren’t going to take it either way) and turned to leave.
“Wait! What’s your name?” You asked, a bit winded from the adrenaline pumping through your veins
“Agust” he said “Agust D”
🥢🥢 🥢
“Agust” (as you came to know later)had been in the process of taking over the D- boys when you had your little run-in with them. He was keen on changing the way things worked in the gang, determined to make sure his rule was never questioned or contested. Killing Jaehyuck for not only undermining his authority but threatening to jeopardise the partnership he had been working to establish with the dragons through Jin was his first step in doing so.
Now, 5 years later, Agust had the largest cities in Korea, Seoul included, trembling under the weight of his thumb. He had long since created an alliance with the dragons and went on to take over when both Jin and Jungkook wanted out.
He owned almost everything and everyone. What were once periodic whispers of his name became incessant screams, loud enough that everyone knew it.
Still, very few people knew what Agust looked like. Sure they knew his name, knew who he was but he rarely showed his face in public, the threat of his existence was potent enough that he didn’t have to.
Still, in Seoul, walls could talk and they loved to gossip. And so everyone knew that “Agust D '' had a scar over his right eye and could kill people with his bare hands and a pair of chopsticks. August’s favourite part of his partial anonymity was the theories about how he got his scar. Some say he got it in an underground fight, others said he had been cut with glass in prison and the truly bold suggested that he had done it himself. They were all wrong, but they were fun to listen to.
When Agust did show his face, it was usually in a setting like you were in right now. A conference room full of lawyers being debriefed on his latest transgressions and how they would be expected to handle it, had he ever gotten caught.
The funny thing about Agust is that no matter who he bought or for how long he bought them, he never recruited a police officer or any member of the judiciary at all for that matter. He loved the rush he got from winning a trial simply because he had a good legal team; that he had you on his team. He liked knowing that he could win fair and square There was something so fascinating…so attractive about the way that you made an airtight case against the prosecution, how you played the jury like a puppet master in your… in his favour.
To this day, you had only lost once, a petty crime charge of aggravated assault for one of the boys. It should have rolled off your back because he, like almost everyone you represented, had been guilty. But there was something about the way Jisoo looked at you in that courtroom as if she knew she had won before the trial even began, as if she was better than you that fueled your thirst to be the best lawyer Seoul had ever seen, even if just out of pure spite.
🥢🥢🥢
There was something about the way Agust could command a room that made you feel hot all over. There was something about the way he spoke, calm, collected, controlled as if words were nothing but a nuisance to him and he had made them his bitch.
His presence filled any room no matter how big or small it was and his demeanour was enough to make even the most insolent of individuals sit with their backs straight. Fuck, he made you feel the need to sit straight.
You tried to pay attention as he spoke, but your mind could only focus on how his plump lips wrapped around his words. How his tongue darted out at intervals to wet his lips, how his fingers twirled the chopsticks he held between them as he paced the room. You couldn't help but stare at his hands, hands that had done unspeakable horrors to scores of people, hands that had dealt unspeakable pleasures to you.
You’ve officially zoned out. You hear no words, no shuffling of paper; your brain blocks out everything that isn’t Agust or your memories of him so much so that you don’t realise that the meeting is over until the heavy double doors bang shut. Almost instantaneously, the smell of cigarettes wafts towards you and you look up to see him standing beside you.
You swallow thickly.
“How was the meeting Y/N?” he asks you, taking a long, slow drag from his cigarette.
“Good.” you lied “It was good.”
“Hm,” he hummed. “ So what do you think Dongshik’s chances are on that murder charge?”
You clear your throat. “ I have full confidence that Jimin can get the charges dropped or at the very least, get him out on bail” you reply carefully, praying you didn’t sound as unsure as you felt.
Agust chuckled before spinning you around in your chair to face him and leaning over you so that your faces were mere inches apart.
“Good try baby, but “Dongshik” is one of your paralegals, not one of the dragons. The only crime he’s committing is wearing that God-awful fake Dior cologne.”
Shit.
“What's got you so distracted, hm pretty girl?” he asked, running his left index finger along your jaw.
Your breath hitched. “N-nothing, I’m just a little tired,” you replied, clenching your thighs together.
Agust narrowed his eyes at you, his mouth forming a straight line. Unamused. He takes one last drag of his cigarette before he puts it on one of the ashtrays on the long table.
He looks you up and down, gazee burning against your skin as his eyes rake over you, arms crossed against his chest.
“You know better than to insult my intelligence like that don’t you Y/N?” he asks, clearly not expecting an answer.
He grabs your chin and tilts your head up, forcing you to look at him “ You think I couldn’t see you squirming? That I couldn't see you clench those thighs for all they’re worth?”
His eyes were intense, just like everything else about him was but you fought defiantly to maintain eye contact with him.
“ I did no such thing” you retorted, much to his displeasure. He scoffed.
“You’re such a brat you know that? Such a big fucking brat.” he said shaking his head. “Stand up.”
You don't move, much to his annoyance.
He takes a deep breath and brings his right hand down to your throat, not squeezing hard enough to hurt, but applying enough pressure to get your heart racing and to know how serious he was.
“I’ll say it again once. Stand. Up.”
You obey this time, looking up at him as you rise from your seat, hand still wrapped snugly around your neck.
He releases you once you’re completely upright on your feet and sits in your chair. He taps the space on the table in front of him and you take the hint and sit.
He runs his hands up and down the length of your thighs and your legs part almost on instinct. He gets a view of your underwear, the dark red in the centre from how wet you were and hisses.
“See why you shouldn’t lie to me, baby? Because no matter what you come up with in that pretty little head of yours, your body will always tell me the truth, hm?”
He hikes your pencil skirt up to your waist and pushes your thighs further apart and your body arches towards him on instinct. He brings his head down to kiss at the sensitive skin and you barely hold back a scream when he sinks his teeth into your soft flesh. He runs his tongue over the bite and you whine. He pulls away to look up at you
“What kind of behaviour is this hm? The big bad Y/N making such a mess on this table? Aren’t you a bit embarrassed to be reacting like this hm? Dripping all over me as if I didn’t fuck you senseless just yesterday.” he says bringing a hand to your core and pulling your underwear to the side.
You roll your hips forward and resist the urge to bring your hands to cover your face because he was right. He did fuck you senseless less than 24 hours ago, but Agust was more addictive than any combination of drugs he sold. He was toxic, mean…evil if you were to consider anything he did with your moral compass…but you needed him. He might have been cruel to everyone and everything else, but he was good, so, so good to your pussy.
He pushes a finger into you, the cool metal of his ring grazing against your walls. He adds another and your eyes roll back and your head falls back. He starts pumping his fingers in and out of you, your wetness making obscene noises as you clench around his digits. The pressure builds up in your pussy embarrassingly quickly and your orgasm is so close you can practically taste it. You roll your hips forward to meet every thrust of his fingers urging him to go faster. And of course, in the most Agsust fashion ever, he slows down.
He pulls his fingers out of you, your juices running down to his palm and he meets your eyes as he licks them both. The sight is obscene and incredibly hot and it sends you surging forward to put your lips on his.
The kiss is a desperate tangle of tongues and the occasional clashing of teeth. It's wet and messy and it makes every nerve ending in your body stand on edge. Your hand makes its way around his neck and you pull away from him.
“I need you to fuck me,” you say simply. Chest heaving against the silk of your blouse, three buttons somehow missing from the expensive top.
He glares up at you and rips your hand from his neck.
“I don't take fucking orders from you” he spits as he flips you over on the table, face down and ass towards him. “But I'll give it to you just this once, and only because I want to feel you cum on my dick”.
With that, he pulls your underwear down and pushes into you in one go, ripping a scream from your throat as your walls struggle to accommodate him. He doesn’t wait for you to adjust before he starts thrusting into you. His pace is rough and punishing and you can't help the moans that escape you.
“Youre so fucking tight every. Single. Time.” he groans, punctuating his sentence with his thrusts.
He grabs onto your braids, pulling your head back so he could push his tongue into your mouth. His hips start moving impossibly faster, and you can do nothing but moan brokenly against his lips.
He brings his hand down to your clit and rubs it, and your eyes blow wide open and you scream.
“Yoongi please.” you beg.
His hips stuttered in shock.
“What the fuck did you just call me?”
Your eyes widen as you realise what had slipped out of your mouth. Agust had told you his real name years ago but you had never used it. Sure you had practised the way it felt on your tongue in secret but you had never felt brave enough to say it.
“I’m s-sorry,” you say in between moans
“Don’t apologize- fuck it sounds so good when you say it.” he moans out, picking his pace up once more “ Say it again.” he demands “ tell me who this pussy belongs to baby”
“YOONGI!” you scream, tears streaming freely down your face “ It’s all yours Yoongi please”
“That’s right. Thats fucking right” Yoongi replies. “I can feel you clenching around me, do you want to cum baby?”
“Fuck yes, Yoongi please let me cum” you begged.
Yoongi gives you one last particularly hard thrust and your entire body convulses as your orgasm washes over you.
“That’s it, baby, cum for daddy.” he guides you as he slows his thrusts down to barely their pace as you come apart around him.
His orgasm follows yours almost immediately and he spills into you, sending a combination of your juices running down your legs.
He runs his hand along your back as you go limp against him, recovering from your high and places a gentle kiss on your forehead and he pulls your underwear back up.
🥢🥢🥢
As rough as Yoongi is with you whenever you have sex, his gentleness after the fact always negates it.
As bad as Yoongi was for you, he simply made you feel too good.
Deep down, you knew Yoongi loved you in his own twisted way, and you loved him too. But neither of you was willing to admit that out loud. Instead, what existed between you was an unspoken agreement of ownership. You were Yoongi’s just as much as he was yours.
Of course, you saw something more with Yoongi than just fucking him, and it would b unfair to say that was all your relationship was.
Maybe you would've brought it up if you weren't so enthralled by him. If you weren’t so distracted every time he touched you.
Yoongi was everything you did not tolerate, and yet you tolerated him so well.
Yoongi was nothing but death, sex and bad vibes.
Maybe you were insane.
Or maybe you were just dickmatized.

“Beloved, your aura is stale. I know you're worried but you have to put faith in us.” Jin dipped his head into the crook of your neck, his head tickling your cheeks.
You all had finally begun to get a move on with the plan, traveling from the magical city of Seoul to where the portal of Lake Yuri laid. Each one of you traveled in their own ways–the valkyries were on their pegasuses while Seungcheol was able to carry some of his companions on his back as a full dragon.
To say you were stunned when the man transformed into a 5 story reptile was an understatement. Namjoon laughed at your expression telling you that most dragons were able to shift just like Jungkook was able to. When you realized Namjoon was able to do that you softly told him you wanted to see his dragon one day.
However it was not that day because Namjoon explained he was still healing from his injuries so shifting wasn’t an option for him just yet. So all of you climbed into a ship that was fueled by magic. It floated high above the sky–courtesy of another coven that learned how to use their magic in objects.
You watched from the railing as the scenery passed by below, catching sight of more creatures that were beyond larger than imaginable. That didn’t stop you from thinking about what was going to happen the moment you all reached your world again.
You shook your head. “Jin, you've been stuck in that facility for the past 10 years. Who knows what will happen—”
“And that's the thing, we don't.” He cut you off. “No matter how much the witches tell us the fortune is going to be good, fate has a silly way of changing quickly. However, because of our powers we have hope to win this. We're going to take everyone out–they deserve it just like we did.”
“I understand that. I couldn't live with myself knowing they were still trapped.” You shook your head, looking back over the railings as you allowed your body to relax into the elf’s arms. “But I also couldn't live with myself if something happened to you.”
“We'll come back home—with you.” Hobi walked over to the two of you, the others coming up as well.
“And then we can settle down and have those babies. No worries about our powers from there.” He grinned, teasing you about the future.
“We have things to finish, Beautiful.” Jimin told you.
“And we have a reason to make it out.” Namjoon spoke up.
“Who do you think will have a kid first?” Taehyung asked.
“We don't even know when!” You laughed at the second youngest’s question.
“She slept with me first.” Jungkook spoke honestly.
“Ya! Doesn't mean anything. I slept with her here!” Jin whined, glaring at the boy.
“I did too.” Yoongi shrugged.
“Same.” Taehyung repeated.
“We just having sex all over the place now?” Jin scoffed.
“Jin!” You scolded, lightly hitting his arm around your waist.
“Sorry, beloved.” He grinned, leaning down to kiss your cheek.
It wasn’t long before the mountains came into view. It seemed that everyone slowed a bit down as they came to the realization that this was going to be it. You couldn’t imagine how tough things might have been. Hanseol was a weak person from what Bang had explained. However Kang was a different story.
He was a witch who only wanted more power. He would find ways of making himself powerful at the expense of others. You couldn’t give an answer for as to why he started working with Hanseol but there was still worry in the back of your mind about the man you had only come across once.
Seungcheol was quick to turn back into his human form in a puff of smoke after his members got off his back. The faerie of the group twirled a staff around stomping it into the ground causing a mist of magic to flow out from it. Another member who you assumed to be some kind of sandman dropped down from his cloud, letting go of the three other members who had rode with him.
The valkyries climbed off their horses, allowing some of the other warriors from the area to take them. IU had shifted back into her human form after being a swan. There were more people who came down after them, getting ready to cross the portal and into the other world. You took in a deep breath, knowing no matter how many people Hanseol had on his side they couldn’t stop people who had trained for years.
“You boys ready?” Minsuk asked them all.
Namjoon took a look at everyone, getting nods of their heads.
He turned back to the leader of guards for Yuri Lake. “Let's go.”
The pass through the magical mirror-like lake felt much different than what you remember a few days ago. It was freezing cold but only for a few seconds. You didn’t feel wet like you thought you were going to but you did feel light as Jungkook helped you through.
He was waiting on the other side along with the rest of the boys wanting to make sure you were more than okay. Once you caught your breath again, you gave them a smile allowing them to rest easy. While the others looked around in quiet contemplation you took the time to walk towards the entrance of the cave.
Seeing the small cross waiting there had you stopping in your tracks. You felt the breeze blew through and into the cave, causing you to look up. When nothing caught your attention you turned back to the stone, trying to memorize it to heart.
You felt something touch the back of your legs, causing you to turn but found nothing. The others had begun to make their way out, Hoseok’s eyes quickly landing on you before making his way over.
“Do you think her parents hate me?” You asked quietly.
“I don't think they would. It wasn't your fault.” Hobi comforted you.
It hurt to think that you couldn’t remember anything from before. Your head couldn’t even come up with the things you could’ve done with Nabi before everything went wrong. You must have been friends with her before crossing into the other world. You had been coming to your grandparents home since you were a little kid. But your mind really couldn’t think of anything having to do wit her.
“I want to know her story. What happened before and after everything.” You said, looking over at him.
“I'm sure your grandfather will be more than happy to tell you after this, princess.” Yoongi passed by, giving you a smile.
The familiar trek back to your grandfather’s house was easy. However once the building came into view and the back gate was left broken your eyes went wide and you rushed forward.
“Wait!” Jungkook called out, having smelled something off with the house. “(Y/N)!”
You stopped at the patio, seeing most of the doors broken off or furniture thrown out into the open. The house itself was still standing but it was clear someone had forced their way in and were trying to find something specific. In this case you knew it was someone rather.
“They were here.” Jungkook spoke up, his nose wrinkling up as he took a sniff around.
Your eyes began to sting, biting your lip to keep from making any loud noises to alert the others. However they could still easily see you picking up things with shaky hands.
“Let's get a move on. We have to stay vigilant in case Hanseol left some of his men behind to guard the lake.” Namjoon added, looking around the trashed house.
“I'm glad we told grandpa to stay back.” You spoke up, picking up a family photo.
“We'll help him rebuild later.” Jimin told you softly, picking up the other pictures that were thrown around.
“All my grandmother's things.” Your breathing began to grow shallow, tears pooling at your eyes.
“Here, I managed to find this in the rubble.” Jin came up to you, handing you a small metal circle.
“Her wedding ring.” You sniffled, turning the diamond over before putting it on your own finger.
“It fits.” You choked on your tears, quickly being pulled into Jin’s embrace.
Hoseok took your hand, fingers delicately running along the one that had your ring. You sniffled as his magic came from his own hands, wrapping themselves around the jewelry. He had a small smile on his face, looking proud of himself when he pulled back after he finished.
“What did you do?” You asked, looking up at Hoseok.
“It won't fall off.” He explained with a smile.
“So it's glued on?” Taehyung tilted his head.
“It's magically glued on. She can take it off but only her–or us.” The witch explained.
“Thanks Hobi.” You smiled, leaning up to give him a kiss.
“You're welcome, Hun.” He smiled.
“If I could, I would make you your own ring.” The boy rubbed the ring, smiling softly.
“Your transfiguration is good though.” You told him.
“Not perfect.” He shook his head. “And for you I want to make the perfect ring.”
“Why is it not perfect?” You asked.
“Because I don't have my wings to perfect my spells. They are part of my energy and because they are gone things don't look as they should in my eyes.” He told you honestly, a sad look passing his eyes.
You could easily remember the day you had met Taehyung for the first time. A boy who wanted to show you a magic trick–well what you thought was a magic trick at the time. It left you astounded and with wonder. You wanted to see more of what he could do.
He was someone who left you wanting to know more about the childish side of things. It was who he was as a person, someone who could do so much and yet still stay as though nothing ever really affected him. You knew he was hurting as much as the others but that didn’t stop him from wanting to try his best to protect everyone just like the others.
“I think everything you do is amazing. You got the others out perfectly. Wings or not, your magic is amazing.” You softly told him.
Everyone had gathered outside in the courtyard in the middle of your grandparents home, watching as Namjoon seemed to fuss in and out of the building.
“How will we get there? You say it's in Seoul.” Hwasa spoke up, looking as Namjoon seemed to close all the available doors to the house.
“Bang Nim gave us some portal keys to enter.” He showed six different keys in his palms, all different sizes.
“However I must let you all know, we will be heading directly into the facility. Be prepared to fight.” He took in a deep breath, looking around. “Are we all ready?”
“Are you?” Yoongi spoke up, looking at his closest companion.
Namjoon turned to you, watching as you had a reassuring look this time around. “Always.”

the sun was shining brightly over Seoul, casting a warm glow on the bustling city. birds chirped melodiously as a gentle breeze rustled the leaves. it was the perfect day for an outing, and Yunho had planned a surprise picnic for you. you had no idea what he had in store, but knowing Yunho, it was bound to be something special.
you stood in front of the Ateez dorm, waiting for Yunho to come down. your heart raced with anticipation. moments later, the door opened, and Yunho stepped out, his smile as radiant as the sun itself.
"y/n!" he called out, waving enthusiastically. "are you ready?"
you smiled back, nodding eagerly. "of course! where are we going tho?"
Yunho's eyes sparkled with excitement. "you'll see. it's a surprise!"
he led you to his car, and soon you were driving through the scenic streets of Seoul. after a short ride, you arrived at a picturesque park on the outskirts of the city. the park was lush with greenery, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers.
Yunho grabbed a large picnic basket from the trunk and took your hand. "come on, y/n. I found the perfect spot."
he led you to a secluded area near a tranquil lake. the spot was perfect—shaded by tall trees, with a soft blanket of grass underfoot. Yunho spread out a checkered picnic blanket and began unpacking the basket.
"I hope you're hungry," he said with a grin, pulling out an assortment of delicious treats. There were sandwiches, fresh fruit, pastries, and even a bottle of sparkling water.
"wow, Yunho, you really went all out," you said, impressed.
"only the best for you," he replied, handing you a sandwich. "I wanted today to be special."
you both sat down and began eating, the conversation flowing effortlessly. Yunho's laughter was infectious, and you found yourself laughing along with him, your worries melting away.
as you finished your meal, Yunho pulled out a small speaker and played some soft music. the two of you lay down on the blanket, looking up at the sky. fluffy white clouds drifted lazily overhead, forming shapes that sparked your imagination.
"look! that one looks like a rabbit," Yunho pointed out, his arm stretched towards the sky.
you squinted, trying to see what he saw. "oh, I see it now! and that one looks like a dragon."
Yunho chuckled. "you're right."
you turned your head to look at him, your heart swelling with affection. Yunho's face was lit up with joy, his eyes reflecting the clear blue sky. you felt a wave of gratitude for this moment, for him.
"Yunho," you said softly, "thank you for today. this is perfect."
he turned to you, his expression tender. "anything for you, y/n. I love spending time with you."
you felt a blush rise to your cheeks. "I love spending time with you too, Yunho."
he reached out and took your hand, his thumb gently brushing against your skin. "let's make a promise," he said. "no matter how busy we get, let's always find time for moments like this."
you squeezed his hand, your heart full. "I promise."
you lay there in comfortable silence, watching the clouds and listening to the soothing music. the world seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you in your own little paradise.
after a while, Yunho sat up and rummaged through the picnic basket. "I have one more surprise for you," he said with a mischievous grin.
you raised an eyebrow, curious. "what is it?"
he pulled out a small, beautifully wrapped box and handed it to you. "open it."
you carefully unwrapped the box, your excitement growing. inside was a delicate silver necklace with a small heart-shaped pendant. it was simple yet elegant, and it took your breath away.
"Yunho, it's beautiful," you said, your voice filled with emotion.
he smiled warmly. "I'm glad you like it. I saw it and thought of you. I wanted you to have something to remember today by."
you leaned over and kissed his cheek. "thank you, Yunho. I'll cherish it always."
he helped you put on the necklace, his fingers gentle against your skin. as he clasped it, he whispered, "you look perfect."
you blushed, feeling a rush of warmth. "so do you."
the rest of the afternoon was spent in blissful contentment. you and Yunho talked, laughed, and even played a few games. time seemed to stand still as you enjoyed each other's company.
as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the park, you packed up the picnic. Yunho took your hand, and you walked back to the car, the day's memories etched in your hearts.
driving back to the dorm, you felt a sense of peace and happiness. Yunho had made today unforgettable, and you knew that no matter what the future held, you would always have this perfect picnic to look back on.
as you arrived at the dorm, Yunho walked you to the door. He pulled you into a warm embrace, his arms wrapped securely around you.
"thank you for today, y/n," he said softly. "I had the best time."
you hugged him back, your heart full of love. "thank you, Yunho. today was amazing because of you."
he pulled back slightly, looking into your eyes. "let's do this again soon, okay?"
you nodded, smiling. "absolutely. I wouldn't miss it for the world."
with a final hug and a sweet kiss on the cheek, you both walked inside, immediately being met by the loud noises of the other members. you walk into your room, wanting to change into more comfy clothes. as you undressed you felt the necklace dangle down your neck. you touched the necklace around your neck, a smile playing on your lips.
today had been perfect, and you couldn't wait for the many more perfect days to come with Yunho by your side.

Seoul, South Korea's bustling capital, is known for its towering skyscrapers, historic palaces, and vibrant street markets. It is a city where ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology coexist in harmony. However, beneath its well-lit streets and modern facades lies a hidden realm—a magical underworld known only to a selected few. This subterranean world, rich with history and mystery, operates parallel to the everyday life of Seoul's residents, governed by its own rules and inhabited by beings from myth and legend.
The gateway to Seoul's magical underworld is not a grand archway or a secret door; it is a modest, unassuming teahouse in the bustling district of Insadong. The teahouse, known as "Moonlit Haven," has been in operation for centuries and has been passed down through generations of the same family. Its wooden exterior and traditional hanok architecture blend seamlessly with the area's historic atmosphere.
To the ungifted human, Moonlit Haven appears to be an ordinary teahouse serving fragrant teas and traditional Korean sweets. However, those who know the secret can access the portal to the underworld by ordering a special tea called "Moon's Whisper." Upon drinking this tea, a shimmering door appears at the back of the teahouse, leading to a stone staircase that descends deep into the earth.
The staircase spirals downward, lit by glowing blue lanterns that float in mid-air. The walls are adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes with magical creatures: the nine-tailed fox, the dragon king, and the heavenly warriors. As one descends, the air grows cooler and tinged with a faint scent of jasmine and pine.
At the bottom of the staircase, a grand archway looms, its surface covered in glowing runes. This is the true entrance to Seoul's magical underworld, a threshold between the mundane and the extraordinary. Stepping through the archway, one is immediately enveloped in a world unlike any other.
The magical underworld of Seoul, known as Secret City, is a sprawling subterranean metropolis that mirrors the city above but with its own unique twist. The sky here is an eternal twilight, illuminated by floating orbs that mimic the phases of the moon. Streets are paved with luminescent stones, and buildings are constructed from materials that shimmer with an inner light.
Secret City is divided into several districts, each with its own distinct character. There is the Enchanted Market, where vendors sell potions, enchanted artifacts, and rare ingredients. The Celestial District is home to beings of great power, including dragons and celestial foxes. The Whispering Woods, a dense forest of silver trees, is said to be haunted by spirits and home to elusive forest guardians.
The residents of Secret City are as diverse as the city itself. Humans with magical abilities live alongside mythical creatures. Among them are the Gumiho, nine-tailed foxes who can shapeshift and possess immense magical power. There are also Dokkaebi, goblins, mischievous but generally benign beings who love to play tricks on humans. Dragons, both Eastern and Western varieties, make their homes in the Celestial District, guarding ancient secrets and treasures.
The city's governance is overseen by a council of elders, composed of representatives from each major group. The council ensures harmony between the various inhabitants and that the secrets of Secret City are kept from the surface world, which is why any sort of magic is forbidden in the mundane world.
The Enchanted Market is the heart of Secret City, a bustling bazaar where the air is filled with the scent of exotic spices and the sound of lively discussions. Stalls line the streets, their wares illuminated by lanterns that float overhead. Vendors shout out their goods, from enchanted scrolls and rare herbs to mystical artifacts and talismans.
One of the most renowned vendors in the market is Master Hyun, a potions master whose shop, "Elixirs of Eternity," is a treasure trove of magical concoctions. Shelves upon shelves are filled with bottles of all shapes and sizes, each containing liquids that shimmer with otherworldly light. Master Hyun is a man of twinkling eyes and ethereal beauty, always ready with a story about the origins of his potions.
One of his most sought-after potions is the "Dream Weaver," which allows the drinker to enter the dreams of others. Another popular item is the "Phoenix Tear," a potion that can heal any wound or ailment. Master Hyun's potions are known for their potency and reliability, making his shop a favorite among both the magical and non-magical residents of Secret City.
Another notable figure in the Enchanted Market is Ji-Sung, an artifact dealer whose collection is the envy of many. His shop, "Treasures of Time," is filled with rare and powerful artifacts from across the ages. Among his prized possessions are a mirror that shows the true nature of any being, a fan that can summon the wind and a sword that can cut through any material.
Ji-Sung is a mysterious figure, always dressed in elaborate silk robes and adorned with jewelry that seems to pulse with magic. He is known for his keen eye and sharp wit, and it is said that he never forgets a face. His shop is a place of wonder and danger, for while many seek his artifacts for their power, they often come with a price that is not measured in gold.
The Celestial District is home to some of the most powerful beings in Secret City. Dragons, with their majestic forms and ancient wisdom, reside here in grand palaces that float above the ground. These palaces, constructed from crystal and gold, radiate a light that can be seen from anywhere in the city.
Each dragon in the Celestial District guards a specific aspect of magic or nature. There is Aran, the dragon of water, whose palace is surrounded by a moat of liquid silver. There is Seraphine, the dragon of fire, whose abode is perpetually surrounded by a ring of flames. These dragons are both protectors and advisors, and their counsel is sought by the council of elders and other residents of Secret City.
Sharing the Celestial District with the dragons are the Gumiho, or nine-tailed foxes. These beings are both feared and respected for their immense magical power and their ability to shape-shift into beautiful women or men. The Gumiho live in harmony with the dragons, their abilities complementing the dragons' strength and wisdom.
The leader of the Gumiho is Jeongin, a fox spirit with silver fur and piercing dark eyes. Jeongin is known for his grace and intelligence, often acting as a mediator in disputes and a strategist in times of conflict. His palace, the Silver Moon Pavilion, is a place of beauty and tranquility, where the moonlight dances on the surface of a crystal-clear lake.
The Whispering Woods is a dense forest of silver trees, their leaves shimmering like moonlight. The woods are said to be haunted, with whispers echoing through the trees that speak of forgotten secrets and ancient magic. The path through the forest is winding and treacherous, known only to a few who dare to venture into its depths.
The Whispering Woods are guarded by forest spirits, ethereal beings who protect the ancient magic within the trees. These spirits, known as the Guardians, are invisible to most and reveal themselves only to those they deem worthy. They are led by Elder Bin, a spirit of great wisdom and power who has watched over the woods for centuries.
The Guardians are both protectors and guides, aiding those who seek knowledge or refuge in the woods. They are also the keepers of the Sacred Grove, a hidden sanctuary where the most potent magical energies converge. The Sacred Grove is a place of healing and renewal, its waters said to grant visions and its flowers capable of curing any illness.
Among the trees dwell the Spirits of the Lost, souls who have wandered into the woods and never found their way out. These spirits are not dangerous but rather sorrowful, seeking closure or redemption. They often appear as faint, glowing figures, their presence marked by a sudden chill in the air.
The Spirits of the Lost are guided by Lix, a gentle and compassionate spirit who helps them find peace. Lix is a beacon of light in the darkness of the woods, his soothing voice and kind heart offering comfort to those who have lost their way. Under his guidance, many spirits have found the closure they seek and moved on to the afterlife.
Scattered throughout Secret City are hidden temples dedicated to various deities and elemental forces. These temples are places of worship and power where the faithful come to seek blessings and guidance. Each temple is unique, reflecting the nature of the deity or force it honors.
One of the most revered temples in Secret City is the Temple of the Moon, a place of serene beauty and quiet reflection. The temple is built from white marble, its domed roof adorned with silver filigree that glows softly in the moonlight. Inside, a large pool of water reflects the light of the floating orbs above, creating an ethereal ambiance.
The Temple of the Moon is dedicated to the moon goddess, Haneul, who is believed to watch over Secret City from the skies. The temple is tended by a group of priests known as the Moon Brothers, who perform rituals and offer prayers on behalf of the city's residents. The head priest, Brother Seungmin, is a wise and gentle leader, his presence bringing a sense of peace and tranquility to all who visit the temple.
Another secret society is the Shadow Blades, a group of elite warriors and assassins who protect Secret City. They are skilled in martial arts and magic, and their training is rigorous and demanding. The Shadow Blades operate from the Shadowsong Keep, a hidden fortress deep within the Whispering Woods.
Commander Ji-Won is the leader of the Shadow Blades, a formidable warrior known for being both ruthless and just. Under his command, the Shadow Blades carry out missions to protect Secret City from external threats and internal strife. They are the unseen guardians of the city, their presence felt but rarely seen. Minho is one of them, slowly working his way up the ranks but facing struggles with his colleagues. He’s not as powerful with magic as most of them but has the ability to shapeshift into a cat, making him perfect for secret missions. Which pissed a lot of people off.
Throughout its history, Secret City has been protected by heroes who have risen to defend the city against threats, both internal and external. These heroes, known as the Chosen Ones, are individuals of great courage and power, often possessing unique abilities that set them apart from others.
No hero is complete without a healer, and in Secret City, that role is filled by Chan, a gifted healer whose touch can mend even the gravest of wounds. Chan is a member of the Temple of the Moon, his gentle nature and healing magic bringing comfort and hope to those in need. He carries a staff, the Moon's Grace, which enhances his healing abilities and allows him to channel the power of the moon goddess.
Seoul's magical underworld, Secret City, is a place of wonder, danger, and beauty. It is a city where the mundane and the extraordinary coexist, where ancient myths come to life, and where the balance between light and dark is constantly maintained. The residents of Secret City, both human and mythical, live in harmony, their lives intertwined by the magic that permeates their world.
As the gateway between the two realms, Moonlit Haven reminds visitors that there is more to Seoul than meets the eye. For those who dare to seek it, a world of magic and mystery awaits, hidden beneath the bustling streets and modern skyscrapers of South Korea's capital. In Secret City, the impossible becomes possible, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary—a true testament to the enduring power of magic.
-
Minho had always been different. As a member of the Shadow Blades, the elite warriors and protectors of Secret City, his abilities made him a target of both admiration and envy. Unlike many of his comrades, he lacked powerful magic but possessed a unique talent: the ability to shapeshift into a sleek, agile cat. This ability made him invaluable for espionage, slipping unnoticed through shadows and tight spaces. However, his success and the recognition it brought only fueled the resentment of his peers.
The tension reached its peak after a particularly challenging mission. Minho had been instrumental in retrieving a stolen artifact from a rogue mage, but his success was met with scorn rather than praise. Whispers of jealousy and accusations of favoritism swirled among his colleagues, resulting in an unjust decision by his superior officers. They accused him of withholding information and acting independently, charges that were untrue but impossible for Minho to refute without pushing himself even further away.
"You think you're special because of your abilities," spat one of his fellow warriors. "But you're just a liability. We don't need someone who can't follow orders."
The decision was swift and brutal. Minho was stripped of his rank and cast out from the Shadowsong Keep. The sense of betrayal cut deeper than any blade. He was alone, exiled from the only family he had known, forced to fend for himself in the vast, mystical underworld of Secret City.
With nowhere else to turn, Minho fled through the Whispering Woods, a dense forest known for its haunting beauty and perilous magic. The silver leaves of the trees shimmered in the eternal twilight, casting an eerie glow on the winding paths. Here, the whispers of ancient secrets and lost souls filled the air, a symphony of sorrow and mystery.
Exhausted and wounded from his escape, Minho made a desperate decision. He transformed into his cat form, hoping the change would allow him to navigate the forest more easily and evade any pursuers. The transformation was both a relief and a curse, offering him agility and stealth but stripping him of his human voice and hands.
As a cat, Minho's senses were heightened. He could hear the rustle of leaves, the distant calls of nocturnal creatures, and the soft murmurs of the forest spirits. His fur provided some protection against the chill, but the pain of his injuries persisted. Despite his resilience, the journey through the Whispering Woods was grueling, each step a struggle against fatigue and despair.
Lix found him curled up beneath a tree and noticing his injuries he knew there was only one way to save him. He scooped him up from the ground and soothingly caressed his head, able to tell there was more to him than just an innocent, hurt cat.
After days of wandering, they finally reached the Temple of the Moon, a place of serene beauty and powerful magic. The temple, constructed from white marble and adorned with silver filigree, stood as a beacon of hope amidst the dark woods. Its domed roof glowed softly, reflecting the light of the floating orbs above. Lix set him down on the ground and gently shoved him forward. “I’m not allowed to enter, but you are, little friend. Go and accept the refuge they have to provide.”
Minho hesitated at the entrance, his feline instincts wary of the unknown. He had heard of the temple's head healer, Chan, a gifted young man whose touch could mend even the gravest of wounds. Desperation outweighed caution, and Minho limped into the courtyard, collapsing near the temple steps.
Moments later, a figure emerged from the temple. Chan, carrying a staff that radiated a gentle light, approached the injured cat. His eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the wounded animal, but his expression quickly softened into one of compassion.
"Poor thing," Chan murmured, kneeling beside Minho. "Let's get you inside."
Chan carefully lifted Minho and carried him into the temple. The interior was as serene as the exterior, with moonlight streaming through stained glass windows, casting colorful patterns on the marble floor. Chan placed Minho on a soft cushion and gently examined his injuries.
"You're in bad shape, but we'll get you fixed up," Chan said soothingly. He placed his hands over Minho's wounds, and a warm, healing light emanated from his palms. The pain began to fade, replaced by a soothing sensation that spread through Minho's body.
As the healing progressed, Minho watched Chan with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity. Chan's touch was gentle, his expression focused yet kind. There was something inherently calming about him, a presence that put Minho at ease despite his recent ordeal.
When Chan finished, he sat back and smiled. "There you go, little one. You should feel better soon."
Minho meowed softly in response, his eyes conveying the gratitude he couldn't express in words. Chan chuckled and scratched behind Minho's ears. "You can stay here as long as you need to. I'll take care of you."
Days turned into weeks as Minho recovered under Chan's care. He adapted to his new life at the Temple of the Moon, observing the daily routines and rituals from the shadows. In his cat form, Minho found a strange sense of peace. He was safe from his past and had a chance to start anew.
Chan grew fond of the cat he had rescued, naming him "Moonshadow" for his sleek, dark fur and the way he seemed to blend into the twilight. Minho, in turn, became Chan's silent guardian, following him around the temple and offering companionship.
Whenever Chan was away, Minho would revert to his human form, cleaning the temple and performing small tasks to help ease his guilt for deceiving him. He hoped that his actions would repay some of the kindness Chan had shown him, even if Chan never knew the truth.
Chan, however, began to notice the small changes around the temple. Rooms were tidier, supplies were replenished, and the garden seemed to flourish under an unseen hand. He attributed these miracles to the blessings of the moon goddess, unaware of the true source.
Five months later
In the eternal twilight of Secret City, the Temple of the Moon was a sanctuary of tranquility and magic. Within its serene confines, Chan sat cross-legged on a plush cushion, his gentle eyes scanning the pages of an ancient tome. The moonlight streaming through the stained glass windows cast a colorful, ethereal glow around him, creating an atmosphere of peace and contemplation.
Beside him, Minho, in his cat form, stretched lazily, his sleek black fur shimmering in the soft light. As he yawned and settled into a more comfortable position, his eyes never left Chan. There was a bond between them that went beyond mere companionship—a connection forged through trials and a deep mutual understanding.
Chan noticed Minho’s gaze and smiled warmly. “Hey there, Moonshadow,” he said softly. “Come here.”
Minho’s ears perked up at the sound of Chan’s voice. With a graceful leap, he landed beside Chan and began to nuzzle his head against Chan’s outstretched hand. Chan’s fingers moved instinctively to scratch behind Minho’s ears, a spot that always made the cat purr contentedly.
“There we go,” Chan murmured, his voice soothing and gentle. He could feel the vibrations of Minho’s purrs under his fingertips, a rhythmic reminder of the trust and affection between them.
Minho closed his eyes, leaning into Chan’s touch. The sensation of Chan’s fingers running through his fur was blissful, and his purring grew louder, filling the quiet room with its soothing sound. It was moments like these that made all the hardships and uncertainties of their lives seem distant and unimportant.
Chan chuckled softly. “You’re really enjoying this, aren’t you?”
In response, Minho rubbed his head against Chan’s cheek, a gesture of affection that made Chan’s heart swell with warmth. The simple act of being close to Chan brought Minho a sense of security and happiness he had never thought possible before meeting him.
“You’re such a sweet kitty,” Chan whispered, continuing to scratch Minho’s head and under his chin. Minho’s purrs grew even louder, and he started to knead Chan’s chest with his paws, his claws retracting just enough to avoid scratching the fabric of Chan’s robe.
Chan shifted slightly, leaning back against the cushions and creating a more comfortable space for both of them. Minho took this as an invitation and climbed onto Chan’s chest, circling a few times before curling up in a tight ball. His tail wrapped around his body, and he rested his head on his paws, looking up at Chan with half-closed eyes.
“You look so peaceful,” Chan said, his voice barely above a whisper. He rested one hand gently on Minho’s back, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing. “I’m glad you’re here with me.”
Minho’s eyes closed fully, and he let out a contented sigh. The warmth of Chan’s body, combined with the rhythmic motion of his hand on his back, lulled him into a state of deep relaxation. His purring continued, a soft, steady sound that seemed to resonate with the very essence of the temple.
For Chan, having Minho close was a source of immense comfort. The bond they shared went beyond that of a healer and his pet; it was a connection of souls, a partnership forged over time. Chan found solace in Minho’s presence, a sense of completeness that he had never experienced before.
As the minutes passed, the tranquility of the moment deepened. Chan’s thoughts drifted, the worries of the day fading into the background. All that mattered was the gentle weight of Minho on his chest, the soothing sound of his purrs, and the warmth of their shared affection.
Minho, on the verge of sleep, shifted slightly and nuzzled his head against Chan’s chest. He felt safe, cherished, and loved—a stark contrast to the loneliness and betrayal he had once known. In this sacred space, with Chan’s heartbeat as his lullaby, Minho found a peace that transcended the physical realm.
Chan continued to stroke Minho’s fur, his touch light and tender. He could feel the trust dripping from the small creature in his arms, a trust that was both humbling and empowering. Chan knew that, no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, their bond unbreakable.
“I promise to always take care of you,” Chan whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
Minho’s purring intensified for a moment, as if acknowledging Chan’s words. Then, gradually, it began to fade as sleep overtook him. His body relaxed completely, his breathing slow and steady. Chan watched him with a soft smile, his own heart filled with a profound sense of gratitude and love.
The Temple of the Moon, with its timeless beauty and serene atmosphere, bore witness to the deep connection between Chan and Minho. In this sacred place, under the watchful gaze of the moon goddess, they found a moment of perfect harmony—a testament to the enduring power of love and trust in a world filled with magic and mystery.
As Chan closed his eyes, his hand resting gently on Minho’s sleeping form, he knew that their journey together was far from over. But in this moment, they had everything they needed: each other. And that was enough.
-
One evening, as Chan prepared for his nightly prayers, he looked at Moonshadow, who was curled up on a cushion nearby. "You know, sometimes I feel like there's more to you than meets the eye," Chan mused aloud. "You're special, aren't you?"
Minho's ears perked up, and he watched Chan with wide, curious eyes. Chan smiled and continued, "I think the goddess sent you to me for a reason. Maybe you're my familiar, a guardian spirit to protect and guide me."
The words struck a chord in Minho's heart. He had always felt a deep connection to Chan, a sense of duty and protectiveness that went beyond mere gratitude. Perhaps there was truth in Chan's words, a destiny that had brought them together.
That night, Chan performed a ritual to bind Moonshadow as his familiar. He drew intricate symbols on the ground, lit candles, and recited ancient incantations. As the ritual reached its climax, a surge of magical energy enveloped Minho, strengthening the bond between them.
Minho felt a profound shift within him, a merging of their spirits that filled him with newfound purpose. He was now bound to Chan, his protector and companion, their fates intertwined by the magic of the moon.
-
As Chan's familiar, Minho took his duties seriously. He remained vigilant, always on the lookout for potential threats. His heightened senses allowed him to detect dangers before they could reach Chan, and his presence provided comfort and reassurance.
One day, trouble arrived in the form of dark mages seeking to disrupt the balance of magic in Secret City. These mages, practitioners of forbidden magic, targeted the Temple of the Moon, believing its powerful magic could be harnessed for their nefarious purposes.
Chan was in the garden when the attack began. Dark figures emerged from the shadows, casting spells that warped the air and sent tremors through the ground. Chan's staff glowed as he raised a protective barrier, but the dark mages' assault was relentless.
Minho, sensing the danger, leapt into action. He transformed into his human form, his body a blur of motion as he intercepted the attackers. With a combination of agility and ferocity, Minho fought off the dark mages, his cat-like reflexes and strength giving him an edge.
Chan, focused on maintaining the barrier, was unaware of the true identity of his savior. He glanced over in shock as he saw a young man fighting with the grace and power of a guardian beast.
Despite his best efforts to hide his true nature, Minho's ears were visible, a telltale sign of his shapeshifter abilities. As the last of the dark mages fled, Chan lowered the barrier and approached Minho cautiously.
"Who are you?" Chan asked, his voice a mix of awe and confusion. Their eyes met and Chan’s eyes widened recognizing those soft brown orbs he’d come to love so much. His eyes wandered up where Minho’s dark cat ears peaked from his messy brown hair. "Are you... Moonshadow?"
Minho hesitated, then nodded slowly. "Yes, I am. My name is Minho. I'm a shapeshifter, exiled from the Shadowsong Keep. I've been living here in my cat form, afraid you would kick me out if you knew the truth. I know we aren’t very welcomed around here.”
Chan's expression softened, and he reached out to touch Minho's shoulder. "You protected me, Minho. You've been by my side all this time, helping and watching over me. I don't care about your past or your abilities. You are my familiar, and I am grateful for everything you've done."
Tears welled up in Minho's eyes, a mix of relief and gratitude flooding his heart. "Thank you, Chan. I promise to always protect you, no matter what."
-
Minho’s revelation had lifted a weight off his chest, but it also left him feeling vulnerable. Living as a shapeshifter meant hiding his true self, something he’d grown accustomed to. Yet, in front of Chan, he was completely exposed. For Chan, the revelation was a mix of shock and intrigue. The gentle healer had always felt a special bond with Moonshadow, but knowing that the affectionate cat was also a brave young man named Minho deepened that connection.
Their daily routines continued, but with a newfound understanding. Minho still shifted into his cat form, now more out of comfort than necessity. He still enjoyed curling up on Chan’s chest, feeling his rhythmic breathing and the warmth of his body. Chan, on his part, welcomed Minho’s human presence when he transformed, appreciating the help around the temple and the companionship Minho offered.
The first night after Minho’s revelation, Chan found it hard to sleep. He kept glancing at Minho, now in his human form, tidying up the temple’s main hall. The moonlight filtered through the stained glass windows, casting a soft glow on Minho’s face. He moved gracefully, his actions efficient and almost mesmerizing to watch. Chan felt a strange flutter in his chest, a mix of admiration and affection.
“Minho,” Chan called softly, his voice breaking the comfortable silence.
Minho turned, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. “Yes, Chan?”
Chan hesitated, then smiled. “You don’t have to push yourself so hard. Come sit with me.”
Minho’s expression softened, and he abandoned the broom he was holding, walking over to where Chan sat. He settled down beside him, their shoulders almost touching. There was a quiet intimacy in the moment, a shared silence that spoke volumes.
“I never thought I’d find someone like you,” Chan admitted quietly. “Someone who understands and accepts me for who I am.”
Minho looked at him, his eyes sincere. “I feel the same way. You’ve given me a place to belong, Chan. For that, I’m grateful.”
They sat in silence for a while, the bond between them growing stronger with each passing moment. Chan’s hand moved almost instinctively, reaching out to hold Minho’s. Minho’s fingers intertwined with his, the simple touch sending a warm feeling through both of them.
-
As days turned into weeks, the relationship between Chan and Minho deepened. They developed a rhythm, a balance of shared tasks and quiet moments of companionship. Minho’s presence brought a sense of stability to Chan’s life, while Chan’s gentle nature provided Minho with a sense of peace he had never known before.
Chan’s duties as a healer often took him to various parts of Secret City. Minho, always in his cat form, accompanied him, providing silent support. He became Chan’s shadow, always alert and ready to protect him if necessary. Their bond as familiar and master was strong, but it was the bond of friendship and growing affection that truly defined their relationship.
One afternoon, while Chan was tending to a patient in the Celestial District, Minho, in his cat form, explored the area. The dragons and celestial foxes were impressive, their majestic forms and ancient wisdom evident in every interaction. Minho’s keen senses picked up the subtle undercurrents of power and respect that flowed through the district.
As Chan finished his work, he called out for Minho. The sleek black cat appeared almost instantly, weaving through the crowd with ease. Chan smiled as he picked Minho up, cradling him gently.
“You always know where to find me,” Chan said, scratching behind Minho’s ears. Minho purred in response, nuzzling against Chan’s cheek.
Their return to the temple was peaceful, the twilight sky casting a serene glow over Secret City. Minho transformed back into his human form once they were inside, stretching his limbs as he did so.
“Another successful day,” Chan remarked, setting down his staff.
Minho nodded. “You’re an amazing healer, Chan. The way you help people… it’s inspiring.”
Chan’s cheeks flushed slightly at the compliment. “Thank you, Minho. But I couldn’t do it without your support.”
Minho’s heart swelled at the words. He was finding it harder to keep his feelings for Chan hidden. The healer’s kindness, dedication, and the way he made Minho feel valued and appreciated—it was all becoming too much to ignore.
Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, but so did Minho’s feelings for Chan. He found himself drawn to the healer in ways he hadn’t expected. Chan’s smile, his laughter, the way he cared for others—it all made Minho’s heart race.
One evening, as they sat together under the soft glow of the moonlight, Chan turned to Minho with a thoughtful expression. “Minho, can I ask you something?”
“Of course,” Minho replied, curious.
“Why do you stay in your cat form most of the time?” Chan asked gently. “I mean, I understand it became your natural state by now, but you can be human whenever you want. Why do you choose to be a cat?”
Minho looked down, his ears twitching slightly. “It’s… complicated. When I’m in my cat form, I feel safe. I can protect you without drawing too much attention. And it’s easier to hide my true feelings.”
“Your true feelings?” Chan echoed, his curiosity piqued.
Minho hesitated, then took a deep breath. “Chan, there’s something I need to tell you. Ever since you took me in, I’ve felt this… connection. It’s more than just being your familiar. I care about you deeply, more than I’ve ever cared about anyone. But I’ve been afraid to show it, afraid that you might not feel the same way.”
Chan’s eyes softened, and he reached out to take Minho’s hand. “Minho, I care about you too. You’ve become an important part of my life, and I can’t imagine it without you. I think… I think I’ve been feeling the same way.”
Minho’s heart skipped a beat. “Really?”
Chan nodded. “Yes. I’ve been trying to understand these feelings, and now I realize that I’ve fallen for you, Minho. Not just as my familiar, but as someone I want to be with.”
Minho’s eyes filled with tears of relief and happiness. “Chan, I’ve loved you for so long. I just didn’t know how to tell you.”
Chan pulled Minho into a gentle embrace. “You don’t have to hide your feelings anymore. We’ll face this together.”
Minho clung to Chan, the warmth of his embrace filling him with a sense of belonging. They stayed like that for a while, holding each other under the moonlight, their hearts beating in sync.
-
With their feelings out in the open, Minho and Chan’s relationship took on a new dimension. They were no longer just healer and familiar; they were partners, united by love and a deep sense of understanding. Their bond grew stronger, their affection for each other evident in every touch, every glance, every shared moment.
Chan continued his work as a healer, and Minho remained by his side, providing support and protection. They faced challenges together, their love giving them strength and resilience. Secret City, with its magic and mystery, became a backdrop for their blossoming relationship.
One day, as they walked through the Enchanted Market, Minho in his human form, Chan took his hand. “I have a surprise for you.”
Minho looked at him curiously. “What is it?”
Chan led him to a small shop filled with beautiful artifacts and magical items. The shopkeeper, a kind young man, greeted them with a warm smile.
“Welcome, Chan. I see you’ve brought a special friend today,” he said.
Chan smiled and nodded. “Yes, Minho is very special to me. And I want to give him something to show how much he means to me.”
Jisung’s eyes twinkled. “Ah, I have just the thing.”
He led them to a display case and pulled out a delicate silver pendant shaped like a crescent moon. “This pendant is filled with protective magic. It will keep the wearer safe and strengthen the bond between two hearts.”
Chan took the pendant and turned to Minho. “I want you to have this. It’s a symbol of our bond and my promise to always be there for you.”
Minho’s lip quivered slightly as he took the pendant. “Thank you, Chan. I’ll cherish it always.”
Chan fastened the pendant around Minho’s neck, and they shared a tender kiss, sealing their love with a magical promise.
-
Their love continued to grow, but so did the challenges they faced. Dark forces still threatened Secret City, and Minho and Chan found themselves in the midst of several battles. Their bond was tested, but their love gave them the strength to overcome every obstacle.
One evening, as they returned to the temple after a particularly difficult mission, Chan collapsed from exhaustion. Minho caught him, his heart pounding with fear. “Channie, are you okay?”
Chan smiled weakly. “I’m just tired, Minho. I’ll be fine.”
Minho carried Chan inside and laid him down on a soft cushion. He tended to Chan’s wounds, his hands trembling with worry. “You’ve pushed yourself too hard, Chan. You need to rest.”
Chan reached up to touch Minho’s face. “I’ll be okay, Minho. I have you by my side.”
Minho’s eyes filled with tears as he leaned down to kiss Chan’s forehead. “I love you, Chan. Please take care of yourself like you do with everyone else.”
“I love you too, Minho,” Chan whispered, closing his eyes. “Thank you for being here with me.”
Minho stayed by Chan’s side, holding his hand and watching over him as he slept. The trials they faced only strengthened their bond, their love a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of darkness.
-
As time passed, Minho and Chan’s love continued to flourish. They built a life together, their bond unbreakable and their hearts intertwined. Secret City, with its magic and mystery, became their home, a place where their love could grow and thrive.
One evening, as they sat together under the moonlight, Chan turned to Minho with a smile. “Do you remember the day we first met?”
Minho nodded, his eyes filled with affection. “How could I forget? You saved me, Chan. You gave me a place to belong.”
Chan took Minho’s hand, their fingers intertwining. “And you gave me a reason to believe in love. You’ve made my life complete, Minho.”
Minho leaned in to kiss Chan, their lips meeting in a tender, loving embrace. “I promise to always be by your side, Chan. Forever.”
Chan smiled, his heart filled with joy. “Forever.”
As they held each other under the soft glow of the moonlight, Minho and Chan knew that their love was eternal. In the magical underworld of Secret City, their hearts had found a home in each other, a love that would endure through any challenge, a bond that would never be broken.
Together, they faced the world, their love a guiding light in the darkness. And in each other’s arms, they found a love that was truly magical, a love that would last forever.

„What a great choice, little pup. Of course we can go see; come on, let's go, sweet baby.” The packalpha smiled widely at you, taking your hand in his before he started to lead your little group towards the said store.
Yuki and Moonsik followed happily, both okay with going to the music store. While neither of them played any instruments, they enjoyed listening to music, so they wouldn't mind.
Plus, sometimes seeing all of the gadgets and things lined up cleanly just satisfied them, even when they weren't there to buy them.
And so, Namjoon led you close, watchful so you wouldn't bump into any bypassers as you were caught too deeply into explaining the new art technique you only just learned.
The packalpha knew a fair bit about art, but by no means did he know enough, considering how much new information you shared with him during the few small seconds.
Litography for sure sounded complicated, but you looked ecstatic about it, even though you repeated many times that you really didn't know what you were doing most of the time.
Maybe he could start a course with you? Or maybe some of the other packmates would go. Or maybe, if you don't want them to be there with you, you would prefer to do so alone?
Seoul was a large city; for sure, there must be a printing unit of some sort, an atelier, or anything like that.
Namjoon really wanted you to persue your hobbies and dreams, and he knew you held art very close to your heart.
The packalpha wasn't sure what type of school you would want to continue to study at, but he realised well that the pack could for sure help.
He thought a little about what you might be able to do to help them, and the packalpha already had quite a few good ideas.
But nonetheless, Namjoon was more than happy to have you around, and you could choose whichever path you found interesting, and he and the pack members would support you.
The walk across the mall wasn't lengthy, and so soon enough, you were aware of the music store you desired to see when it was closed.
It was open this time, and the lights that were turned on made the display of the instruments and gadgets much clearer and simpler to see.
To your eyes, it looked quite magical. You knew your fair bit about art—of course you would; you studied it after all—and when you were young and lived in Japan, sometimes you would go see theatres too.
Your budget didn't allow you to see the interesting plays anymore, and it wouldn't be too safe for you to go on your own either.
Since most of the theatres would play during the evening, starting at the earliest of 18 o'clock, even when it would be the summer and the sun would come down later, by the time the play would end, it would be dark.
Seoul wasn't a small city by any means, but your apartment was on the outskirts, and you didn't live in the nicest part of it.
You were an omega. Only now were you being courted, and before that, you had no one to make sure you would get safely home.
The last time you went to see the play R.U.R., which didn't wow you but didn't hurt to see either, you left the theatre by the evening, and the stars would twinkle and shine.
The bus you had to wait for took quite some time to arrive, but whenever a bit off-looking alpha or beta would come sit by you on the waiting bench at the stop, you would make sure to get up and create a distance so no contact would be created.
You were on your phone, busying yourself on Instagram as there was free WiFi available, and so when your bus arrived a good half an hour later, you entered.
All went well in the beginning, but as the drive continued, less and less people stayed, and it came to only you and an alpha.
The man didn't seem too suspicious at first, but when he stood up, to you seeming to go to leave the vehicle, he didn't step out but instead stepped closer to you.
You were more than lucky that night, to be certain. Just the reminder of the sickling smell of the rut had your stomach turning, and when you noticed the look in his eyes, you realised what was meant to go down.
Before the alpha could do anything, you left the bus in a hurry, as your stop just came, and luckily for you, the dreaded man didn't follow you.
Since then, you wouldn't go outside comfortably and would always be wary of being on your own during the night.
Just the terrifying memory made small tears spring up in your eyes. What would happen if that man took you to mate that night? What if he marked you too?
Surely, none of the pack members courting you now would be interested in you then.
You felt your fingers shake a little, and you could tell you were about to cry. You couldn't go crying in the mall like this, and if Yuki and Moonsik were with you too, what would they think of you now?
Your breaths started to cut shorter and shorter, and as your eyes squeezed shut, a slight ringing clouded your mind.
Then, you couldn't tell well what was going on—too much in a haze to realise. You could hear your heartbeat, or was it yours?
It sounded close to your ear, and you felt your lungs hurt from how unwell you were breathing, your intakes shorter and shorter every moment passing.
„...okay, pup,'s okay...."
You recognised the packalpha's voice well, but it sounded distant and far; your ears were somehow weak, and you were tired.
The soft smell around you brought you a slight comfort and warmth, but even then, your shoulders shook and tears would come down your face.
Whenever your sobs would get louder, the warmth brought to you felt more close, as the scent felt more strong and noticeable.
Somewhere deep in the back of your mind, you knew you had stressed yourself out so much that you had another omega drop, but then again, you couldn't think too clearly.
„...don't worry, sweetheart, just breathe for alpha baby;.."
Namjoon's voice caressed you in the background as you sobbed and cried softly. You were just too scared and anxious at this point, too worried out of your mind, to really pay attention to what was going on around you.
It took you quite some time to calm down to a point where you would realise what was going on around you. Sobs wrecked your body, and your shoulders would shake as you gasped for air.
„...there you go, pup, just like that. Breathe for Alpha little 'mega..."
Namjoon didn't know what exactly went down to cause you to suddenly drop on him, but he knew it wasn't good.
It was just like that—your scent would change, and he would notice something was wrong. And before the packalpha could do anything to help prevent it, your soft sniffles and cries already came.
And what was he to do? He knew he couldn't do much as the rest of the packmembers weren't there to help, and surely all of their scents would do you good.
Namjoon didn't even have that lamb plushie they bought for you, and gosh, he was cursing himself for not getting at least a keychain to carry around himself in case of need—like now.
They all will, for sure, purchase one right away after they hear about your soft state. None of them will care about how bulky or weird their keys might look; that would not matter.
If they would get a keychain that would carry all of their scents, for sure, that would help when you might drop on them so suddenly.
Namjoon didn't have that at the moment, and so he was stuck with what was possible to help relieve your anxious state—his own scent.
And so he did what he thought would be best, releasing all of the protective and calming pheromones he had as an alpha.
The moment the packalpha realised you entered an omega drop, from standing before you crouched while caressing your cheeks with questions pouring out about your dazed state, he was quick to get into action.
When your tears appeared and your scent fully changed, he took you into his arms, not caring one bit about anyone looking—you were his top priority.
And so Namjoon cradled you to his chest, safely tucking away your face into his scent gland as he would try to calm you down.
When your sobs and cries turned into gasps for air, he could truly feel worry cloud his mind, and he could tell his brain was dashing up with only a few simple words screamed at him.
Mate; Danger; Breathe;
And he held you even closer, going from trying to gently talk you out of your closed state to feeling himself start to go feral in worry.
Was it one of the bypassers that made you freak out so much? Was it the shop owner? Oh, he was going to have a word with him if that was the case for sure.
But before the packalpha could do anything, Moonsik, who still held Yuki's hand closely as they both looked worriedly over the two of you, stepped closer.
„You need to go somewhere where it's calm and quiet, Namjoon-ah.” The beta's voice held a sense of urgency in it.
His own pack's omega wouldn't drop too often, but when he would, it was always a great worry for both Moonsik and Juwon.
He recognised the short and quick breaths, along with how off your scent seemed, and knew that you really weren't doing well at the moment.
And so, he was quick to step in as soon as he noted Namjoon's growing distress; it was understandable that he was worried. You were their courted omega after all, and it was every packmember's worst nightmare to see their littlest ones cry of fear.
Moonsik calmly came over, a harsh but not really meant growl leaving the packalpha as he took a step back. The beta understood—the younger wasn't thinking too clearly and wouldn't take time to realise who was safe and who wasn't.
At this point, the only ones allowed to come closer to the distressed omega were the packmates, and even then, the packalpha would strictly watch.
And so, the beta took the lead and started to walk to one of the stores where it surely would be quiet and calm—the small library, which had a café at its entrance.
Namjoon rushed to follow, pecking your cheeks and temples repeatedly as he would comb his fingers gently through your hair.
The only thing he wished for was that you would be okay.
None of the drops he experienced with you went to such an extent, and you never had such issues with breathing. What if something was seriously wrong?
Hastily, the small group of yours entered the café. Moonsik brought Yuki over to order, as he didn't want it to seem like you all just came over to sit and not have anything.
The other omega was scared and worried for you, asking the beta numerous times if you were okay and saying, „Y/N doesn't look fine, hyungie!” Nearly bursting into tears himself.
Though the beta was professional in distracting the younger and calming him down, he by no means needed Yuki to drop too; that would be truly bad timing.
And so, Moonsik asked the omega about which drink he thought you would like the best, or what pastry, but the conversation always stopped, as the omega would go turning to look at you sitting in a secluded booth, curled up closely to Namjoon.
Yuki couldn't see much, as the packalpha had tucked you closely against himself and kept you in the corner, his back partly turned to the entrance.
„You're okay, my baby; breathe now; breathe for Alpha." He would whisper, a little frown on his face as he held you to his chest, making sure your ear was pressed right up against his heart where you could hear it the best.
The alpha caressed your hair softly, pecking your forehead as his chin would rub up against the top of your head.
His scent was noticeable all around the booth, and while he might feel a bit emberassed normally, considering that it's not really well with the etiquette to have one's scent take up the whole room, he really didn't care at the moment.
Luckily, the people working and in the café were understanding and didn't freak out or start a scene over it, and everything truly was calm.
Apart from the soft, calm music playing in the background, the shop was quiet and calm, and he only then realised that it was definitely omega-centred too.
And soon after, your teary eyes, Namjoon so restlessly viped over and over, fluttered open. The moment you realised it was the packalpha who was gently looking over you, holding you close as he would caress you, soft shushes leaving him in hopes of you breathing better, a soft sob left you again.
Namjoon looked over immediately, his eyes widening, before he held you even closer, tucking your head right into the very crook of his neck.
„Oh baby...” He whispered gently, pecking your temples repeatedly as he rubbed your back and petted your hair.
You gripped onto the alpha's t-shirt tightly, the man pulling you up and closer to his chest in answer.
Your cheek rested against Namjoon's collarbone as the still slightly agitated alpha held you very close, trying his best to settle you.
Just then, Moonsik and Yuki came over with the order they thought both of you would like the best: an americano for Namjoon and a sweet lemonade with a little cheesecake for you.
Just as Yuki went to whine out, noticing that you wouldn't turn to look at them, the packalpaha being the only one to have acknowledged them, the beta was quick with his thinking.
„Hyungie-”
„Sh, baby, sh, come here." He whispered gently as he pulled the younger omega over to himself, letting him sit on his lap too.
The beta knew well that you needed some space and time to truly relax and calm down, and staying with the packalpha for the time being was for sure the safest bet.
And so, Moonsik fed his omega small bites of the brownie cake and had him drink his own lemonade. Yuki hoped you would like yours just like he always liked his.
„Should I call someone, Namjoon-ah?” Moonsik asked after a little while, worried eyes set on you. While you weren't sobbing and gasping for air uncontrollably anymore, you were still softly sniffing, no matter what the packalpha would say.
Namjoon looked up from pecking your forehead, frowning a little in thought. The packmembers would for sure freak out if they knew, but it was necessary, he thought.
And so, as the alpha pulled you even closer, your nose right against his scent gland, he stayed for a little while in thought.
„If you would be so kind, Moonsik-hyung, that would be very helpful.” He whispered softly, not wanting to startle you, as he gently patted your hair.
The beta nodded and ushered Yuki out of his lap, taking the younger's hand before he went over to the more secluded area—he didn't want you or anyone else to hear to call.
You didn't need to drop on them the second time in a row today.
Precautions were a must in such situations, and your fragile state for sure required one, so they needed to be careful now.
Moonsik quickly switched on his contacts, searching through them until he found the first packmate he had saved on his phone, Yoongi.
And so, as Yuki looked over the books on display, opening and closing them after he realised they were in the horror section, the ringing noise sounded in the beta's ear.
It took a while for the alpha to pick up, but he did soon after, having the beta sigh from the pent-up worry he didn't even realise he kept inside.
„Hello?”
„Hello, Yoongi, it's Moonsik...um, the beta, we met in the mall and-”
„Yes, I remember. What do you need? Is Y/N okay?”
„Y/N dropped a few minutes ago, but Namjoon is trying to settle h-”
„What?! Fuck, where are they?”
„We are in the reading café right now, but maybe you all shouldn't come at the same time..."
„Aish, send me the address, and I'll be there soon; I'll let the rest know.”
„Of course, I will. Thank you.”
Yoongi was the one to switch off the call, but in the background, Moonsik could very well hear his keys jiggle as the alpha quickly got ready to leave.
He wasn't sure where Yoongi was at the moment or if they were all planning to come into the café, but he trusted them and knew that they would do their best to help you.
„Come on, baby, let's go." The beta softly said, gently tugging onto Yuki's hand, the omega following right away, abandoning the book he held before.
They walked back up the stairs and over to the booth to see you still closely held by the packalpha; only now you weren't really sniffling too badly.
Only when they sat down and Moonsik got a better look at you did he realise what happened—you cried yourself to sleep, far too exhausted to keep up with everything.
Namjoon held you close, very much in a protective headspace, wary of anyone and everyone passing by.
The alpha tried to feed you a little bite of the sweet cake or have you at least take the smallest sip possible, but you wouldn't budge, a soft whimper leaving you whenever Namjoon would slightly pull away to give you a little bite.
And so, after a short time, the packalpha has given up on having you eat or drink at the moment, and as you fell asleep, he would hold you just as close as before, if not closer.
He sipped on his coffee the beta and omega, so kindly got him, but it was still quite hot, and he didn't really know how to relax at the moment.
„I called Yoongi; he said he was on his way.” The beta almost whispered, not wanting you to wake up, but seeing your truly tired state, you weren't about to.
The packalpha murmured soft thanks, glad that the beta was kind and considerate in such a jumbled situation.
Just as Namjoon went on to apologise about the hangout taking a terrible turn, the beta was quick to shush him.
„It's okay, Namjoon-ah; it's not yours or Y/N's fault; things like these just happen.” He said it calmly, cutting off a little bite of the brownie to feed Yuki again.
The packalpha could only thank him softly, holding you close as he rubbed your back up and down, keeping you close.
It didn't take a long time before the other packmate came, and it wasn't just Yoongi either.
The moment the youngest recognised your distressed scent in the mall, he took off running, with the older alpha following soon enough, finding the path to you by your scent.
And soon enough, Jungkook stood at the entrance to the café, a mask and heavy jacket on, as he came just from the outside, where Yoongi had driven them.
A soft gasp left him as he finally saw you and Namjoon, your body tightly cuddled up to the older alpha.
„Babybun!” He whispered, taking long strides over before he came to the side of the booth with you.
Jungkook reached over to hold you, Namjoon sighing out gently, before he let you be held by him, only a soft whine leaving you.
„Don't cry, my bunny, it's okay. Alpha is here now. Alpha is here." He would whisper, his chin and cheeks rubbing vigorously over your head as he tried to have his calming scent mask your still unsettled one.
„Oh, kitty...” Yoongi murmured, taking a seat next to the youngest as he too gently petted and brushed through your hair, worried eyes set on your still-half-asleep form.

City Summary
After the integration of Yokai as independent civilians and free citizens world wide, and with the collaboration of their technology as well as krang salvage, a new system of buildings and interlinks have been created to accommodate citizens. Buildings stacked overhead that pierce the clouds, the old world was left to turn into slums and poor living areas on ground zero. Due to permanent clouds caused by pollution and overhead cities, these major empires are in a permanent state of darkness. Neon signs often light these cities to create a spectacular aroura of lights and designs. Though with a permanent overcast comes with a cost, as rain clouds mix with polluted smog to create a toxic like rain that causes many illnesses. It's common among every citizen to keep an oxygen mask at all times in case of rain.
City main inspiration and reference: Altered Carbon

Major cities as listed above are unique as floating SSC (Solar System Cosmopolis) Cities cover most of the dense populated area. These floating cities serve as purpose as secured homing for politicians, celebrities, and mostly the rich. Though they are also engineered mega labs founded by Barron Draxum and Donatello Hamato. They serve to bring back and study extinct species, cultivate cures for major diseases, and help improve on already futuristic technology. They spin very slowly and resemble that of a solar system. Hense the nickname.
These cities are held afloat by a self sustainable gravity generator that uses the gravity of a man made miniature star; created by Donatello Hamato (age 20).

Hidden cities
These main cities are focused world points for another reason. They rest above other hidden cities in which they have their own theme and setting.
New Yorks hidden city belongs to Big Mama, a spider Yokai who deals in illegal gambling and the distribution of illegal mystic items. NY Hidden city remains as a hub for traveling species of Yokai from all around the world.
Hong Kongs hidden city belongs to [REDACTED TBA]- A Dragon Yokai who deals in illegal sales of mystic items and krang salvage from the old battle.
This hidden city is less developed than the others, as most accomodation plans have been denied to preserve its pristine buildings and history. This hidden city resembles deep mountain caverns with buildings built into the sides. Common mystical creatures from Chinese mythology live within this city and rarely travel. Humans are not allowed.
Main inspiration by David Noren!
Tumblr media
London's hidden city belongs to [REDACTED TBA] A plant like fairy Yokai who often helps with creating forged ID's to help Yokai find a better place to live. She also is known to sell potions that aren't approved by the hidden cities overlords and FDA.
This hidden city has developed slowly over time, but due to quick overgrowth of plants and trees. Most buildings have been built into large glowing trees that hang over the city in beautiful rainbow colors. The ground is a great hub for growing fruits and herbs for medicines. The Yokai in this hidden city are spirits from English folklore. They have spread over different cities over time.
Main inspiration found on Thin blue line on Pinterest!
Tumblr media
Seouls hidden city belongs to [REDACTED] a Polar Bear Yokai who deals in illegal weapon distribution and species trafficking.
This hidden city is up to date and mostly in an indoor environment due to this hidden city being within a freezing temperature climate. More artic themed Yokai live within, but this hidden city is popular as a summar retreat by humans and other Yokai looking to stay cool for the summer. But this hidden city isn't as welcoming to humans as the others.
Main inspiration by Annabale Siconolfi!
Tumblr media
Tokyos hidden city belongs to Yeosobai. A jellyfish Yokai who deals with handles most black markets and distribution of illegal substances.
This hidden city is completely underwater. Surrounded on a deep voided ocean under Japan, pod cities have been added to accommodate air breathing citizens, though most buildings were air tight even before. This hidden city is also a large hub for tourists due to its underwater appeal. This city distributes most seafood around the county. Known for its large amount of attractions and adult clubs, it's also a very crime ridden city.
This is also where Current Donatello resides.

Human and Yokai stances
With the sudden booming population of mutants and Yokai integrating into human society, of course tensions and protests by humans were bound to happen. A world they were so used to was building into something unknown before their very eyes after all. And so, tensions between species rose.
Humans with a deep dislike towards other species either hide their hate, or become extremists. Often getting tag as cultists as over years hate crimes toward Yokai and mutants became a world wide situation. Yokai were often kidnapped from their homes to be found barley recognizable by their attackers. Yokai would retaliate, and after much tension, civil wars broke out. Protests for safer living for both species were in demand, and so most governments integrated an artificial intelligence police force that contained mostly droids to prevent race picking. Most countries have adapted this form of law enforcement.
Cultists are still a major problem though their numbers have thinned.
The term Mutant has become a word to target Yokai and mutants in a hateful way, and this word soon became outdated. All non humans are now under the identification of Yokai. This includes mixed races between the two.
It's common for Yokai and humans relationships! Often by now the first generations of Yokai and humans hybrid children are born!
There are even schools for these rare breeds as they are still being studied as a new species.
It is illegal for most countries to have discrimination between species. No Yokai only or human only living spaces, restaurants, or shops.
Though within most slums there is a secret rule to separate the species as mostly disgrunted humans and Yokai live here.
And now we're here!
I want my character to join the au, but I don't know what's allowed!
This part of the blog aims to help you adapt your character into this new universe.
What should my character wear?!
It's really up to you! Most humans and Yokai wear mostly cyberpunk themed clothing! Often I find Pinterest as a source of inspiration. I think your character would fit better if it comes from a certain part of the world. Armor and glowing clothes are welcome and encouraged! Get creative!
I want my character to have cool robotic limbs and mods in their body! Is this allowed?
Yep! And encouraged! This is a futuristic setting! So modifications to the body aren't uncommon!
Can my characters have cool unique weapons?
Of course! And I'd love to see them!! 🔥🔥🔥
Do I have to ask before joining this AU?
Nope! But I'd love to see/read your creation! Or see that you're inspired to join!
Does my character have to be human?
Nope! Any species welcome!
Can my character already know personally main characters?
That's up for discussion. Current time Donatello isn't open to being known nor talkative to strangers. I'd like it if you didnt. He's playing dead unlike the rest of his brothers. Leo's up for discussion but with Mikey and Raph, they are more social and I can see them having multiple friends. Leo's treated more as a police officer and doesn't have a lot of friends due to his work.
Can my character work for the main boss Yokai of the hidden city.
Yes! I'd like you to stay close to what they do in terms of how they run things!
Can I claim ships with these characters?
NO.
Claiming ships with only your characters and main cast is prohibited. That's why Y/N is created as a medium for all 18+ participants that want to ship their characters with main cast. Ships are fun and welcome! But you cannot claim it as a you only ship.
Thank you for reading what I have for now! More to be added!

THE RENDERING BEING BLOWN AWAY IS SO GOOD ABDBDHSHAHAHAHAHA
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i LOOOVE visual gags like this WAHAHAHAA like i thought itd be the usual "jesus fuck hes tonedeaf", still silly haha but like we saw already BUT THIS RESOLD IT FOR ME HAHAHAAA LMAO
i had to double take too i had to scroll back up (while giggling like mad) and really Look at it and confirm "WAIT HOLY SHIT LMAO ITS NOT RENDERED"
extremely obsessed w verkis' expressions this chapter in general HEHEHEHE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LIKE HE LOOKS SO DAMN HAPPY IN THIS PANEL HERE ITS A LIL FREAKY ALMOST WAHAHA
gigglin a lot at the two of them just. spinning and sinking down LOL verkis just couldnt bother w a better portal style, thats so real of him tbh like if it works dont fix it
Tumblr media
ALSO SUHO'S BODY IS STILL THERE EXISTINF yknow i thought itd be like a case where he like, died or smth but ig not!!! yippee for still being alive but also,,,, what state is he in,,,,,,
like. time HAS to have passed on earth, theres no way it was paused; when cheong shim (i hope that was her name its been a while) got transported and later verkis checked on her dad, its clear that time had passed since she "died"
so suho has to be in like, a coma or smth like that right? cause hes not dead, but then whos taking care of him??? his whole family has passed and bro only had that one friend and who knows where or what that friend is up to,,,
is this like a magical coma?!?!? where hes just. still in the boardroom suspended in. uuh soullessness??? im so curious,,,, need the next ep now
or well, wait he might not be in the boardroom i feel like someone would HAVE to find him n like. idk bring him to a hospital, bc he has to pay rent for that n like the moment rent stops rolling in of course a landlord would notice 😭 aaghh so many questions im genuinely so excited for this arc

"i will use my powe- wait wtf MY MANA"
Tumblr media
ITS SO INTERESTING THAT HE DOESNT HAVE ACCESS TO HIS MANA HERE NOW
ik its like "duh its another world" but tbh i thought since he had a manaheart, the mana comes from that, or like he just. has mana in his body? idk if it makes sense but yeah, i didnt think of mana being an energy that comes from their world, i thought it came from them themselves if that makes sense
SO HIM BEING MANALESS IS SUUPER INTERESTING tho im sure javier could still like drag lloyd back hes a strong guy lol
i wonder then if lloyd feels it too?!?!? the lack of mana?? especially bc of his heart being yknow. all kinds of shit goin on w it
like can he still use his skills?? will the status windows still appear?? his mana in lorasia does seem to be unique after all, considering javiers interaction w it when fighting the bone dragon; maybe he still has mana?!?!?!
Tumblr media

im wondering what it is specifically that hes worried abt,,,, being in the same world as himself? seeing the place where he lost his past family all over again? a combination of those maybe?? or maybe its an old anxiety of being out in seoul and not in his boardroom/in class/working, not entirely sure,,, or maybe im overthinking it and its the whole earth being manaless thing fucking w his body like i mentioned earlier lol
either way oooohh i hope he'll b ok,,,,
VERY excited for next week PLS I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS,,,,!!!! see yall then o7

January 31, 2024 -
Tae’s final deployment details are released! Remember, Tae applied for SDT and placement is random, with soldiers being assigned to the Ministry of National Defense, Army headquarters, or each division, once the additional three weeks of SDT training are completed. SDT is distributed to not just Seoul, but also each region.
Starting on February 8, 2024, Tae will serve at the 2nd Army Corps of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. Alternately known as the “Double Dragons,” or “Rok II Corps” or “Ssangyong Unit,” it’s a unit responsible for guarding the challenging military demarcation line. There is a Military Police unit under the direct control of the ROK II Corps, and this includes a Special Duty Team, as well as general military police. This location, nicknamed twin dragons(쌍용), is nestled between twin peaks and is tasked with protecting the Mid-East front, which is one of the roads connecting to Seoul, such as Hwacheon Chuncheon and Yanggu.
I’m not versed in Korean geography and military camps, but a few pages noted that this location is notoriously brutal and difficult to access due to rough mountainous terrain, which is why the unit Tae is assigned to is small. According to these pages, the unit faces tough conditions, including iron fences along the north facing side, numerous stairways for guard duty that are coupled with heavy gears and arms, and there have been reported ankle and knee issues among soldiers deployed here, making it a challenging and less desirable posting. The 2nd Corps, the unit Tae is assigned to, is part of the Ground Operations Command, and has an offensive force tasked with engaging the enemy and protecting the Military Demarcation Line.
Positive notations are that the facilities and food are good, and there is easily accessible transportation since many units are stationed here and the camp is located by Chuncheon City.
The below information says Wooga member and friend Hyungsik also served at this location. However, a friend researched and noted that Hyungsik was in the military police department of the Capital Defense Command as an active duty soldier, which is in Seoul, Seodaemun District (so special forces like Tae but a different posting). Please disregard the small blip from the below SS that says it’s the same unit as Tae’s. They’re in two separate units.

Do you know the timeline for all of lloyd's accomplishments? When and what he build? And if possible the titles he achieved?
LOL @lloydfrontera come get your anon 😂
Hi nonnie! I cant promise I can give you everything, since 1) thats. a big fucking ask for a 400+ chapter novel and 2) i actually havent finished it yet (im reading the Yonder chapters). That said, here's my Arc List I made for myself (up to ch 360ish), spruced up for other's readings:
Tumblr media
Arrival / Ondol construction
Lloyd duel with Sir Neumann
Coal mining/Ants defeat
Icehouse(Seokbinggo) for the orcs / Necromancer defeat
Wetland Reclamation
Water poisoning / Aqueduct construction
Cremo (underwater concrete pillar construction / defeat of Gigatitan)
Magenta Capital suspension bridge construction / Meet Julian
Queens Assassination Attempt
Locust swarm defeated
Monster domino reversal / Recruiting Bibeong
Refugees arrive / Apartment complexes begin construction
Elf Woods (lloyd makes a contract with a group that has been actively avoiding humanity for literal centuries)
Sewer construction / Solitas acquired (lloyd hires a fucking dragon. This might not ever be known in the future? It was a secret between lloyd, javier, and solitas himself)
Zombie Mastodons barely defeated by lloyd
Namaran’s Wall (lloyd beats up 30 necromancers, javier and lloyd take down Hell's Knight, lloyd constructs a support system for the crumbling foundation of the city)
Sultan Kingdom / Water tunnel (Qanat) construction
Julian and Sheherazade get married :)
Royal garden construction (lloyd only partially helps with this one, focusing mostly on the central canal with a lock system to raise and lower the water level safely)
Bone Dragon defeat
Hell / Train construction
Dragon King patronage / wake up calls
Third Ending Spoiler
Mermaids (another infamously hard-to-get-along-with race lloyd contracts with) / Jjimjjalbang construction
Heart of Winter
Centaurs / Colosseum construction
Tyrannus
Return to Seoul
Finally home / Rebuild Jewel of Truth / Swordmaster Syndrome
Angel Interference (lloyd and javier beat up a whole-ass angel) / """"Solution""""" to Destiny
Tears of Summer “prophecy” (lloyd has the angels make up a prophecy and appear before the House of Peers to say it. It was rather flashy)
Mountain switchback train construction (lloyd uses time magic so not only is the construction of a train on a mountain impressive, but he did it in what looks like a few days too)
----------------------------------------
Let's see... as for Titles, thats a little harder since I wasn't keeping track of those... I'll list what I can remember/find, but I must note that the "titles" Lloyd receives are from the system, not ones officially provided by the people of Lorasia.
System Titles
[Exemplifying Punisher] (ch 101)
[Builder of Dead Estates] (ch 101)
[Honored Warrior of the Barbaric Tribe] (ch 101)
[Guardian of Cremo] (ch 101)
[Magentano Carry] (ch 101)
[Bell Saver] (ch 109)
[The Eldest Son of the Frontera Family] (ch 119)
[Hell's Singer] (ch 177)
[Top Gun from the West] (ch 197)
(I feel like im missing a few here...?)
[Upper Abdomen! Upper Abdomen! Upper Abdomen!!] (ch 271)
(huh, maybe missing some here too?)
[Hell's Top Talent] (ch 359)

FIREFLOWERS ★ masterlist.
pairing: levi x reader
warnings: mentions of mafia violence | wc: 3k
note: set in korea because i always headcanon levi as half korean when i think of him personified. no explanation, just that. also im british thats why pongo sounds like a guy you'd meet in town. apologies, cant rip it from my vocab
⏤ “Good day?” you ask, pulling back from his neck with your arms still around him. Levi settles his hands just below your ribs and looks at you, sweetly pressing a kiss to your mouth. He doesn’t pull away too far, your hands threading in the hair above the back of his neck. “Better now.”
Tumblr media
“So what? I want those files on my desk by tomorrow morning, or else you’ll be out of a job and two legs short. Do you understand me?”
He pinches the bridge of his nose, something out of a habit he picked up from his father when he was younger. Presumably something was being said on the phone that he didn’t like, something that very few men in Levi’s line of work could say and get away with saying. With a long overdue sigh, Levi lifted his arm up to the door of the car and stared at the passing scenery, at how the city smudged into flickers of light, twinkling silvers and burnt oranges, the distant burst of colour from fireworks for somebody’s birthday.
The call doesn’t last for much longer; he said what he had to and threatened who he needed to, finally tossing his phone across the leather interior of the black Audi. From the front seat, Pongo glanced in the rearview mirror and raised his eyebrows. Of course, his real name wasn’t Pongo; it was something of a safety precaution, a hidden identity because once you’re in the Fireflower Mafia of Tokyo, you’re never really safe. Just like how Levi wasn’t the name he went by during work hours- to his members and his superiors, Levi Ackerman was simply VI. He didn't know what his colleagues called him in Tokyo, where he usually is on business. Today, he is in Seoul. Home.
“Busy day at work, sir?” Pongo asks. He was old, aged around the eyes with cobwebbed wrinkles strung across his skin. Levi admired Pongo’s excessive record of hard work, never missing a day of driving him around like some rich kid, which, in theory, he was. He’d worked for it, debatably, but he was still rich. Comfortable, with a few zeros in the bank for his own pleasure and for-
“Yes,” Levi replies tiredly, because now that he’s safe and private in the company of Pongo, he was now Levi, Pongo now Jimong. “It’s alright now, though.”
Jimong makes a noise of agreement through closed and thin lips. “Couldn’t agree more, sir!”
“Any plans for this new year?” Levi asks conversationally. He knows that his house is coming soon, just past these dense woods and near the private estate, filled with houses he owned secretly, inhabited by people who didn’t know any better. He liked it better that way, it was easier that way. Rival gangs never came looking in unsuspecting, rich people suburbs, which is why it works.
“Oh,” Jimong replies, awfully surprised that Levi’s bothered to ask. “Oh, yes, sir! Me and the wife are going to the Maldives. Can you quite believe it? Saved some money between the two of us, and we’re finally getting to go. A couple bloody years late, I may add. Ha. Yourself?”
Levi smiles in passing, listening but also vacant in his own headspace. Any lingering worries pressing down have suddenly vanished, somehow shifted away as the car rolls up in the driveway of a house near the end of the cul de sac, not directly in the centre of the curve but a little to the right, out of the way. Inconspicuous.
“That sounds lovely,” Levi replies honestly with a smile to match. He likes Jimong, likes that he’s happy and getting to do things he previously couldn’t have afforded doing. “As for me…I’ll be spending it quietly. With my family.”
Jimong likes that greatly. He looks at Levi like he would his son, a victim of The River Dragon’s crime within Seoul where he had attended University. Behind those thick frames that made his eyes bulge like a fish, he blinked once or twice and nodded, as if approving.
“That’s the way to go,” Jimong laughed. The car pauses, halts forward slightly and Levi reaches to grab his phone off the seat before it slides. Before stepping out, he slides his blazer back over his arms and smiles once more at Jimong. He doesn’t expect a payment, but Levi always gives extra, slipping a few notes into his hands as money for the Maldives. He pulls open the car door and steps out, turning back to close it when Jimong winds down the window with a fatherly look. “Congratulations, by the way.”
Levi bows his head as thanks. He pulls back from the car and steps up onto the pavement and Jimong begins to drive away, the window safely back up and his flat cap twisted forwards, like a disguise, a costume for a fancy dress party. Like always, Levi waits until Jimong’s a bit further down the vein of the road before heading inside, taking no chances. Across the street, a neighbour smiles at Levi, unfazed by the bitter December wind as they stand wrapped in a cardigan, a cigarette balancing between two fingers with their head tilted up towards the stars. Levi acknowledges them, politely, because he can’t afford to make enemies anymore, and he steps backwards onto the grass of his front lawn and towards his front door, a sunflower yellow as promised.
Inside, it smells like humbugs, the faint smell of baby powder from the back bathroom. It’s two in the morning, the clock tells him so, and as quietly as he can muster, Levi kicks off his shoes and steps into slippers laid out for him. The kitchen light is still on, but nobody is up; Levi doesn’t like when you wait up for him. He likes to get home and unwind in his own way, pouring a mug of coffee and sitting out on the back door step, enjoying the silence that the neighbourhood provides. From where the house is, Levi can see the lights of the city but hear no sounds- there are no party cries, or loud sirens, or gunshots. He likes it here, with the sound of cicadas and reckless night birds, the neighbour’s hot tub bubbling with quiet laughter and clinks of wine glasses. He does just that- pours himself a coffee into an obnoxious mug with Iron Man’s face on it, and takes it out onto the back step.
The door pushes open slightly, the breeze smuggling in and blowing out a candle you must have lit before going to bed. He'll scold you for that later. He steps out to glance up at the back bedrooms, pleased as always by the sight of closed curtains and the golden nightlight in the room above the kitchen. Levi has some time to sit and drink his coffee, crack the discomfort out of his bones, for about three minutes, until a loud cry resonates through the house. Levi pauses for a moment, as if debating on what to do. Rising to his feet, Levi reaches to pull the door back and locks it when it’s closed. The coffee is too cold to drink, he must have left it to cool for too long and he tips it down the sink, running the evidence away and putting the cup on the windowsill. He hasn’t got the time to wash it up, as he steps out of the kitchen and towards the staircase.
Climbing, Levi yawns, feeling the tiredness falling into place like pieces of a puzzle. It was probably the warmth of the house that did it, in contrast to the December bite outside. Once he’s ascended to the top, he walks briskly down the corridor and past the master bedroom, instead heading towards the room above the kitchen, decorated with bees and flowers and a little sign made out of cardboard letters spelling “SUNHEE”. He smiles to himself and pushes the door open gently.
The room smells new, and faintly like piss, the disinfectant smell of marshmallow from a candle lit above her dresser. Levi wants to scold the idea of another candle, but he knows it’s safe- it’s one of those pretend-candles safe for babies to smell, because he helped buy it, picked out the scent, and knows that there's no flame. In the crib, tangled with blankets, Sunhee Ackerman wails for attention, her little feet smacking the air violently. Levi wastes no time moving to her crib and peering inside. From the bulge underneath her bum, it’s evident she’s soiled herself, like all babies do, and cried to herself out of pity.
Levi coos, seeing her face all squishy and cute in the crib. She looks like him, in the best way, with the round and narrow nose but eyes like her Mommy, rounder and attentive, almost having the nerve to look like Eren. She fists the blanket with fury, angry that she’s pooped in her sleep! Levi smiles.
“Oh, little girl, what are you like, hm?” he asks, in an elevated voice reserved for babies only. You liked to tease him about that, whenever he held her in the hospital and spoke to her in pouts. “Ah, let Daddy help you out of this mess, okay? Okay, it’s okay, don’t cry, baby, it’s okay. Daddy’s here, Daddy’s got you.”
He carefully collects her from the blankets and hoists her into the air. Now that Dad’s home, she’s not crying as much, just staring at him with sniffles and wide eyes filled with tears. He wants to yell with adoration, but he knows you’re sleeping in the room next door, exhausted from work throughout the day. He respects that, and knows that it’s harder for you, especially since you only gave birth a few weeks ago. She’s just passed one month.
Levi holds her so that he doesn’t make the mess worse, with one hand grabbing the mat used for nappy changing and tossing it onto the floor, and it sinks flat ready for Sunhee to lie on. A part of him wants to be nervous, because as of this moment, you’ve always been on poop duty, because babies poop several times a day, he’s horrified to discover. For some strange reason, he had never thought about that, not even when you sat him down with a nervous expression and told him that you were expecting. Regardless, he does his damn best, because he’s Levi Ackerman for crying out loud, and he’s not going to let a nappy get the best of him. With wipes and baby powder on the scene, Levi cleans around the mess, discarding the nappy and replacing it with a clean one that Sunhee gargles at, her legs kicking wildly just to get a kick out of her Dad’s frustration.
“Just a while longer, angry girl,” Levi huffs quietly. “You’re so fussy... I don’t know how Mom does this…”
Eventually he gets the hang of it, changing the nappy within minutes and when Sunhee is finally clean, she curls into herself cutely and kicks her feet again. Levi suspects that she’s happy, thanking him for cleaning her, and he picks her up to balance on his hip as he carries the nappy secured in a little bag to the dustbin outside. Sunhee likes to be carried around the house, even at night when it’s scary. She stares at Levi’s face the entire time, her mouth hanging open like a little Pikachu. He makes sure to lock the door, and wash his hands, and then carries his daughter back upstairs to her bedroom.
Levi holds her for a while, because around work and unexpected phone calls, Levi feels as though he doesn’t have a lot of time alone with her. She whimpers, stuffing her face into Levi’s neck as he rocks her slightly, his arms wrapped around her and holding her up underneath her butt. As soft as silk, Levi finds his voice and whispers to her, pausing when he hears the faint ambience of the Finding Nemo soundtrack playing on a little monitor next to her crib, noise so that she doesn't get scared being alone.
“Daddy missed you,” he tells her quietly, his lips to her crown. “Mm, yes he did. He did. He missed you so much. Daddy wanted to spend all day with you and Mommy, but he had to go to work.”
Sunhee, of course, says nothing. Perhaps she is sleeping, buried into his neck, most likely drooling on his Alexander McQueen blazer. Course, he can’t complain. He longs for moments like this, flickers of domesticity that he misses out on when he’s busy at work. He could tell Sunhee everything, because she can’t understand what he’s saying anyway, not just yet. But, he wants to keep her as far away from his work as he possibly can. He tried to with you, too, but one photograph proved that it was no longer possible. The gang only got a glimpse of your hair, short and blonde at the time, and since then, you had dyed it dark, grown it out, wearing your own costume for the public.
Levi rocks her for a little bit longer, making the most of every moment when he looks over his shoulder as arms snake around his waist. From there, he sees your face, sleepy, pushed in between his shoulder blades. He can just about make out your hair, see the baby blue stripes of your bed shirt.
“Hi, baby.”
He hears you move behind him and press a kiss on his blazer. He hums quietly, pushing back into your arms as if returning the hug. “Hi, yourself. What’you doing up? It’s late.”
“Heard her,” you reply around a yawn. “Heard you come up and get her. Got impatient, I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” Levi says quietly. “Is she sleeping?”
You move to look at Sunhee, humming with confirmation. “Like a rock.”
“Hm, good,” Levi answers, holding her for one moment longer before returning her back to her crib. He sets her down like a delicate thing, because she is delicate, and tiny and light like a bag of sugar, and gently puts the blanket over her feet, because he read somewhere that if your feet got cold then so would you. The windows are shut and the soundtrack loops once more, that strong smell of urine gone with the replacement of a cleansing spray he found on the dresser. Then he turns back to you, inviting you into a hug that you accept. With one face out his neck another is added, as you circle your arms around Levi’s neck. He’s warm, and smells faintly like whisky and fire. Nothing unusual, if anything better than the smell of sweat or blood.
“Good day?” you ask, pulling back from his neck with your arms still around him. Levi settles his hands just below your ribs and looks at you, sweetly pressing a kiss to your mouth. He doesn’t pull away too far, your hands threading in the hair above the back of his neck.
“Better now,” Levi admits quietly. “Come on, let’s get to bed.”
You lead the way, slowly dragging your weight to the bed and sinking down on the sheets as Levi b-lines to the bathroom. He looks at himself for a long moment in the mirror, rubbing at his face and brushing his teeth. Levi doesn’t stare for too long, he doesn’t like vanity or the way he looks after a day of work. Back inside the bedroom, you’ve settled underneath the white sheets, waiting for him to join you. He does so, after dressing slowly and when he gets into bed, you shuffle close to him, inhaling his warmth. Levi likes to be held, and knows you do too. It’s little luxuries like this that he thinks other people take for granted. Lately, these moments and words shared in whispers are the only moments he gets alone with you. Gradually, he learned to live life in gasps, taking what he could when he could.
“You look tired, baby. Try and get some sleep,” you murmur, kissing his chest as you cuddle into his skin. Levi grunts as if you’ve said something funny.
“Wanna talk to you,” he insists. “How was your day, good?”
“Mm,” you yawn. “Tell you about it in the morning. You’ll be here, won’t you?”
“Yeah. It’s my day off, I’ll get Jean to wear my shoes for the day,” Levi promises. “Can finally spend some time with you and the little one.”
A hum is breathed into his chest and he looks down, noticing that you’re not looking back at him and your eyes are closed, your cheek smushed against his cotton tee. “That’s good then.”
He thinks you’ve drifted off, as you say nothing else for a few moments. Levi stares intently in the darkness, making shapes out of the little dots when you stir once more.
“I love you,” you mutter. “You’re a good man.”
That’s usually what he needs at night, the reassurance that what he’s done throughout the day was worth it.
“Thank you. I love you too.”
Finally, when you’ve drifted off in his arms and the faint sound of snores meet his eyes, Levi pulls you closer, as if it were even possible. It’s here that he realises what he has now, and how easy it is for him to lose it. The way he holds you tighter now isn’t out of love but instead fear, fear that one day, his bad mistakes may come back to bite him in the ass, hurting the people he loves most.
He realises what he has and how he’ll do anything and everything to prevent himself from losing it, no matter what it takes.

Once I climbed onto the fluffy comforter Taehyung leaned forward, wrapped his arms around my frame, and pulled us both back into the pillows. I could see the city lights through the large-ish windows and it with Taehyung's heartbeat was all I could manage to focus on despite the large TV playing a movie. It was just serving as white noise at this point. The lights in the hotel room were shut off to set the nighttime ambiance.
He wouldn't tell me how much the hotel cost when we arrived. I knew it was one of the fancier ones in Seoul. No matter how many times I tried to apologize for Hoseok making him come, he would shut me down.
He did end up reassuring me about Yeontan. He left him with his mom for the night. I had no doubt in my mind that Mrs. Kim would spoil Yeontan.
I was so worried about boundaries that I was hesitant to show any affection to Taehyung, but as I laid in his arms, his chin resting on my head as the side of my face was pressed to his chest it was clear that it wasn't an issue.
"You seem less aggressive than Hoseok warned me you'd be." His voice was just above a whisper.
"Aggressive?" I tried to replay my actions in my head from the past few weeks.
"He said you and Jimin argued a lot recently. He warned me about picking a fight with Jimin or you. He just wanted us all to meet but didn't want it to blow up." Taehyung explained.
And it blew up anyway, "Poor Hobi." I sighed.
Taehyung let out a sigh of his own. He then reached over and grabbed the remote, pausing the movie and shifting so he could look a little more at my face.
"...Can I ask what happened with you and Jimin? I know it might be too soon to butt into your life and be this touchy, but it's been bothering me all night. What's happening?"
"Jimin and I are just disagreeing on our friendship." I tried to dance the question, but he seemed to be the better dancer.
"What is there to disagree about? I know you're hiding something from me."
I let out a groan, kicking my feet in frustration, "Tae!" I whined.
It all seemed stupid now. Not only that but the way Taehyung's eyes would darken when something affected me negatively made me think Taehyung would confront him. The last thing I wanted to have then was confrontation.
Taehyung let out a giggle and began to hold onto me tighter, "I'm hurt, I thought I was your dragon?" He began to tease.
I tried to squirm out of his grip, a decision that caused him to sit up and push me into the bed by my shoulders. I reflexively put my hands on his chest, ready to push him off, but stopped when I realized he was now straddling me. As he hovered above me, the world froze.
The dim lights from the city lights danced along his face while the light from the TV highlighted his form. His hands warmed my shoulders and sent tingles down my back and up my neck. His eyes widened like I bet mine were. Both surprised that we found ourselves in this position. I could feel his hammering heart under my palms, a sensation I don't think my own heart was ready for.
I was unsure if it was me making him nervous, or if it was from his efforts of getting me to sit still. To test the waters my hands began to slide down from his chest. I could feel him hold his breath, his eyes still locked with mine. His eyes weren't frozen in surprise though, they began to waver like he was searching for something in my gaze.
My hands slid down to his stomach. No abs, just soft warmth that somehow made my fondness grow. Taehyung's hands moved from my shoulders to brace himself, his hands now on the bed beside each side of my head. He began to slowly lower himself, it was slow enough that made me feel at ease like I had all the time in the world to move if I wanted to. Once his forehead rested on mine, he closed his eyes as I moved my hands up and to the side of his ribcage then glided to his back.
"I just want to protect you." His voice was soft and full of sincerity.
"...You don't have to. You don't need to, Tae." I assured, beginning to rub his back.
Taehyung shook his head, "I'm the dragon. I protect the princess."
“Ew, cringe.” I giggled, not missing the soft puff of amusement from him in return.
I tried to fight back the warmth that began to blossom in my cheeks as I tried to make myself think clearly. Just like at dinner, the warm fog began to roll in. It made the world seem sugary sweet. It made everything seem light and like everything was going to be good forever.
A feeling that I was starting to fear. A feeling that was too foreign for me to understand.
As my own eyes fluttered closed a question needed to be asked, "Tae...? Is this okay?" My words managed to break through as the fog began to consume my thoughts.
"What's okay? You being here with me? You under me? Or are you asking if it's okay to tell me?" I could feel his forehead lift off of mine, I almost wanted to chase the heat his forehead gave.
"All of it." I could feel his weight shift on top of me and my hands slid off of him onto the bed beside me, I could feel the bed lift around my head.
"Does it feel right?" I didn't know.
Did it feel right? Why did it feel amazing yet feel like impending doom? Why did I want to get lost in it, yet have a map to guide me back and make sure I was at least going in the right direction?
I could feel his hand find mine and intertwine our fingers, I refused to open my eyes. I feared that if I opened my eyes I would fall for the sight I would see. The man in front of me.
Once it took too long for me to respond, Taehyung let out a sigh, "Just tell me what's wrong. I can fix it. I can help."
"It's not something you can really fix. It's just a petty argument that will go away in a few hours."
"Tell me anyway, just in case it doesn't." I could feel fingers lightly caress my cheek, begging me to give in to the temptation.
Telling him wouldn't hurt. Would it?
"I fell in love with Jimin." The words rushed out of my mouth before I could second-guess them.
Taehyung's body stiffened, I was afraid I may have done something wrong but decided to tell anyway, "I didn't really confess properly... One night he just... He got so drunk and called me to pick him up. When I did he basically told me he didn't love me but kept leading me on anyway." I had no idea why I was sugar-coating it.
Maybe it was because I could feel Taehyung tremble above me or maybe it was because I didn't want him to fight Jimin.
I felt his warm hands cup my face, making my resolve quake, "This doesn't sound like an argument that will go away in a few hours." He murmured.
I wanted to snap at him that I was aware of that, but as my eyes opened and I was met with a heavenly sight, the words died in my throat.
His eyes were hooded, looking at me with a soft yet predatory gaze that made me feel like I was now getting too much attention.
"We're working on it." I endured.
Taehyung began to lean forward again. This time our eyes locked. He placed one hand beside my head as the other stayed on my cheek. Once his eyes flicked down to my lips, I knew my fate was sealed.
I could feel the flood of adoration rush into my blood. The feeling from the restaurant came flooding back. The one that lost reason, the one that didn't know boundaries.
I didn't know if Taehyung was feeling the same, but one thing that made the feeling intensify was how Taehyung froze mere inches away from his face. His eyes wavered, then quickly averted my gaze, his lips pressing together to avoid smiling.
"...Do you know why I gave you the nickname Yakgwa?" He asked, seeming like he was changing the subject.
I tried not to show my disappointment as I responded, "Uh, was it because the lady at the stand gave me free ones because I shared them with you and Jimin?"
Taehyung shook his head, he looked back over to me, his eyes weren't meeting mine, they were purely on my lips as he spoke, "A few weeks after that. We were in the park close to my house. You wanted to be pretty. So I put flowers in your hair, my mom dressed you up in a princess dress, you insisted on a tea party, and you made me dress up too. Jimin usually would be the one to dress up with you but he was at his brother's game at the beach. After cookies and tea, you dragged me up to the tallest part of the park swing set and told me to pretend we were getting married."
Oh god no.
"Yah! You don't need to finish!" I quickly stated, feeling the burning embarrassment as I moved my hands to cover my face.
Taehyung began to move my hands away and continued his story, "My mom ran as fast as she could to get my dad and the camera from the car. I thought you were going to do the same thing you did with Jimin. You would get a kiss on the cheek and then hug him. But you didn't want that with me. You pulled me in and kissed me. On the lips."
My face was blazing hot as I only shook my head at his retelling of events. I refused to believe I stole his first kiss. All for a mock wedding because Jimin wasn't there to give me one.
"I don't call you Yakgwa because of some lady at a market. I call you that because when you kissed me, at our fake wedding," Taehyung's lips pulled into a small smile as he began to close the gap between our lips, "your lips tasted exactly like yakgwa."
Unlike when we were children, I let him close the space. His lips molded to mine making searing heat rush to my neck and face. I felt overwhelmingly warm and affectionate, my hands quickly moving to grip his shirt to keep him from moving away. Taehyung moved back slightly so he could fit between my legs instead of straddling them. I was more than willing to open my legs to accommodate him, my lips even parting when his tongue brushed against my bottom lip.
It was a burning blur of events that led to my hands in his hair, he was pressed dangerously against me. He was so close I could feel his racing heartbeat and the heat coming from his flushed skin. His hand traveled from my face down. I never expected him to slowly begin to play with the buttons of my shirt.
I knew this was too fast. It was all emotion and not any rational thought. The sound of a buzzing phone in the distance did nothing to break the focus we had on each other's mouths. With each movement of our tongues or lips, I began to feel more confident. I soon made us roll over so I was now on top of Taehyung, using my newfound leverage to set the pace. I unknowingly gave Taehyung the advantage of being able to slide his hands up the back of my shirt. His hot palms caused shivers to dance along my skin.
Once Taehyung bucked his hips up against me it caused an even bigger issue. I swallowed down the groan that arose from him, my core now feeling tingling heat that caused me to rock my hips against him. I pulled away from his lips to attack his neck.
A moan tore from his throat which drove me absolutely insane.
"There, please there," His breathless voice floated to me through the haze once I kissed a certain part of his neck, slightly under the ear, along his jawline.
Taehyung's hands went from my back to my ass to knead the soft flesh and help me keep my pace. Once a moan escaped me, Taehyung flipped us back over. Instead of kissing my neck, he went straight to unbuttoning my shirt.
This was enough time for the haze to slightly lift enough for my rational mind to wrap around the situation. I quickly grabbed Taehyung's hands, making him freeze in place, the fog lifting for him too.
Our panting breaths filled the room as we were both scared to move. Our flushed faces and disheveled looks gave a clear indication that we lost control.
Before he could speak I wanted to clarify, "I'm sorry! I was trying to keep my head in check but I just--" Taehyung cut me off with an adorable peck to the lips.
"Don't apologize, we both liked it, right?" He cupped my face with one hand again, eyes looking into mine full of hope.
"Yes. I did, but don't you think this is a little too fast?"
Taehyung seemed to deflate, "I haven't actually thought about it..."
"EH!?" Was the only noise that came out, causing Taehyung to press his lips together in an effort not to laugh.
What does he mean he hasn't thought about it?? Was he just going with the flow? Was he just acting on pure emotion or urge??
"I was just excited to see you again if I'm being honest. We had a really nice time last time and I got to meet your friends and see Jimin again. I had a really pleasant night and being here with you just..." He looked up at the ceiling like he was trying to gather his thoughts.
The suspense was killing me. I wasn't sure what I was expecting him to say, my whole body froze in anticipation.
A big smile began to form on his face, he hid his face against my shoulder as he quietly muttered, "You make me so happy."
Taehyung lowered himself so he was laying on top of me, his arms wrapped around me as he nuzzled into my shoulder, as my hands found his hair my body relaxed.
"I'll take it a lot slower," Taehyung promised, "We'll know each other all over again."
He let out a sigh, and all the tension in his body dissipated. It was like he melted over me, I expected him to be heavy but it was somehow a comfortable weight. I never knew a person could be a security blanket.
"You're so warm," Taehyung whispered, I could even hear the smile in his voice.
"You're so safe," I whispered back before turning my head to kiss his temple and the top of his head.
Taehyung let out a hum that vibrated into my bones before he spoke, "Let's sleep. I'll take you to school in the morning. You need to show me around anyway."
It was now becoming a theme that I couldn't say no to this man.
Tumblr media
Taehyung was keeping to his word.
I think.
As soon as we woke up he dragged me to a café. He was practically bouncing in his seat as we waited for me to decide.
"How do you have this much energy right now?" I yawned, I was tired and drowsiness hugged me like a heavy blanket.
"Maybe we should've gotten you a couple of espresso shots." Taehyung grinned.
"Or maybe I should've slept more," I grumbled while rubbing my eyes.
It was 6 am. Every bone in my body seemed to pop and creak with resistance. The warm and cozy café filled with smells of coffee and baked goods did little to nothing to wake my senses. If anything it had the opposite effect. Hints of vanilla and lavender wafting under the stronger coffee smell.
"I wanted to have breakfast with you before you went to school. I've been imagining how nice it would be to eat breakfast, drop you off, and come back to have lunch with you." His dreamy telling made it hard to be mad at him.
But not impossible.
I yawned, leaning back in my chair, "Well, we should have you learn my schedule because you are two hours ahead, TaeTae."
Taehyung flashed me an apologetic smile, "That would be good. I'm on high school hours I guess."
"I do think lunch would be good though. The guys seemed to like you well enough. I think Jeongguk needs another photographer or camera person in his life because Yoongi locks himself in his dorm or the recording studio booths."
"Jeongguk is a photographer?"
"He's more into video, but he's a jack of all trades. I think you'll like him. I used to play games with him at parties Jimin would drag me to, but my grades started to tank. You two would get along." I elaborated, trying to focus my eyes on the menu.
My fuzzy, half-asleep brain refused to multitask. My brain unable to register that I was looking at words. I must've squinted at the words like they were ancient scratching because the menu was taken out of my hands.
"Are you feeling a hot drink or a cold one?" Taehyung questioned, his eyes scanning the menu.
"Cold."
"Are you a strong brew or blonde brew kinda person?"
"Strong brew," I muttered, my eyes wandering to look around the coffee shop.
"Are you like a hazelnut toffee, or like a peppermint mocha?"
"...These are a lot of questions for coffee." Taehyung smiled, not looking up from the menu.
I narrowed my eyes at him in suspicion, "The coffee shop isn't asking this, is it?"
Taehyung placed the menu down and let his eyes wander to the ceiling like he was thinking over his answer.
"I just want to get to know you better." He admitted.
I had no idea why I was so guarded in some aspects but I was willing to fully make out with him. Why I felt like telling him things would only be a nuisance to him and annoying?
How did I expect us to get closer with no communication though?
I sucked it up, noting that I was being unreasonable and unfair.
"Salted Caramel Mocha is usually my go-to if they have it. I'm a sucker for seasonal flavors. I avoid hazelnut because my mom is allergic and I forget it's an option." I informed.
Taehyung's smile grew, "They have salted caramel as syrup and you can add it to a mocha!"
"That sounds fine," I assured.
He then proceeded to do a subtle little dance in his seat that devastated me before raising to go place our order.
I couldn't help but look over every so often at him. Each time I wasn't disappointed, he was undeniably adorable no matter the circumstances it seemed.
I scolded myself mentally, feeling a least a little creepy for staring, so I turned my attention out the window to see the sun turning the sky in various soft tones, watching people pulling up to get their caffeine fixes.
We had come pretty early. So early that the sun was barely rising, and the air was cool and crisp. The cool air outside contrasted the warm air in the coffee shop enough to make fog against the corners of the shop windows. It set a very particular feeling I knew I would only experience in this very specific scenario.
I heard a semi-loud giggle that turned my attention over to the counter that Taehyung was standing at.
It was obvious the barista was flirting with him, but what really caught my attention was the mountain of goodies on the wooden tray provided by the shop. I at first, thought the barista gave him these goodies as a way of flirting, but as I looked on a little longer, Taehyung asked a question I couldn't quite hear. Before he could even get an answer he was reaching over to the display case to get another wrapped goodie. This caused the barista to let out another giggle.
Another barista, a male who seemed unamused, placed the two coffees on the tray, moved his coworker over, and began to ring up the items. He read out the total to which Taehyung gave over his card with a heart-wrenching smile. His card was rung up and given back. The female coworker was lightly pushed towards the back of the counters facing the wall.
Taehyung took the tray and as soon as he turned to face our table his excited smile blossomed butterflies in my stomach. He nearly skipped to the table, putting down the tray and unloading my drink first.
"I didn't know if you wanted breakfast but I thought these looked good!" He began, unloading the different treats off the tray and separating them into sweet ones and savory ones.
"I didn't know if you were more into bread in the morning or light things," He explained as he took his seat and began to shuffle through them himself.
"Uhhh, I've actually never thought about it. I'm either early to class or incredibly late. There is no in-between so I just grab whatever or nothing at all. I never asked what coffee you liked by the way." I prodded.
Taehyung looked over to his drink then back to me with a bit of a sheepish look, "I actually don't like most coffees. They're too bitter."
This man couldn't get any cuter even if he tried.
"So you got a hot chocolate? Or a latte?" I questioned, sitting a bit forward to look at the treats on the table.
"Yeah, I got a raspberry white hot chocolate. They had a caramel chocolate one too but I haven't tried the raspberry one."
"At least you're adventurous. My roommate gets a strawberry latte everywhere she goes. Chooses nothing else but that and dalgona."
"I knew a few people like that. Especially strawberry latte ones." He trailed off.
I picked out one of the sandwiches from the pile and looked for a bread bun. I usually went for more savory things since the coffee was already pretty sweet. Sandwiches were alright but nothing beat the bread buns. Once I found a chicken curry bun I happily snatched it in delight. As I began to open it I caught sight of Taehyung in my peripheral vision. I looked up to see him fully and was greeted by his slight smile. His eyes held warmth in them as the rising sun began to shine rays to dance in his irises.
His eyes were naturally dark in color. Yet when the sun hit them just right they turned into molten dark chocolate. The unevenness of his eyes held so much charm that was only elevated by the adorable beauty mark right under one of his eyes.
"You're doing it again." Taehyung chuckled, obviously flustered.
I ripped my eyes away from him to look down at my bun, "Sorry, you're just really beautiful." I admitted.
Taehyung let out a flustered groan, "How can you say that so easily?"
I began to flush myself as I shrugged, "Artist brain maybe?" I theorized.
Taehyung shook his head as he was failing to hide a smile, “Well, Artist Brain, I have to take you to campus soon. Eat up.”
Tumblr media
Arriving on campus before 8 am was a surreal feeling. Most of my classes started at 9 am or later. However, this gave me the perfect opportunity to visit Jeongguk about jobs since he was probably getting ready to go to his sometime soon.
After shooting him a text I made my way to his dorm room. Once I knocked on the door it swung open theatrically to reveal a semi-surprising sight.
“I don’t hear you counting!” Hoseok’s signature drill-sergeant-like tone drew out to the figure below him as he twirled a black-stick-like object in his hand.
Below Hoseok was sadly Jimin. Doing pushups but his arms were shaking and grunts of effort left his lips leading me to believe this had been going on for a while.
Jeongguk’s bright face, wet hair, and bunny smile greeted me as he held the door open.
“Morning, Noona!” He chirped like the scene behind him wasn't taking place.
“Uh… Am I interrupting somethi– Is that a selfie stick??” As I spotted the object in Hoseok’s hand, a phone now visibly attached it it, Jeongguk shrugged.
“Sometimes I have to use my phone to film. Need those angles.” He replied nonchalantly.
“…Please don't tell me the phone is actually recording…”
“Good Morning, F/n! What brings you here?” Hobi’s sunshine smile beamed so brightly that it gave me whiplash, forgetting the phone completely.
“I was going to ask Jeongguk when he was free to job hunt; Jimin are you okay?” I questioned.
“NO!” Jimin puffed which earned him a light kick from Hoseok.
“I didn’t say to stop counting.” Hoseok nearly barked.
“I’m free around five this afternoon. We could get food and hunt. There is also a new machine in the arcade not too far from here, we could check that out.” Jeongguk proposed.
“She… said ‘job hunt’… not… a date!” Jimin muttered between pants.
“Less talking more counting!”
“Okay, what the fuck is happening!? Jimin please get up I'm so uncomfortable.” I stepped into the room to close the door behind me like I had to hide the scene from passersby.
Jimin let out a groan of relief as he dropped flat on the floor, a sweaty and flushed mess.
“Why is this happening?” I interrogated, crossing my arms in hopes it showed I meant business.
Jeongguk and Hoseok exchanged looks before Hoseok spoke up, “Last night shouldn't have happened so we’re rectifying it.”
“What!? That’s what this is? He apologized!” I defended in disbelief.
“You were upset!” Jeongguk countered.
“At myself, not him!” I groaned.
“…Jimin, why didn’t you say anything?” Hoseok asked like that would be a possibility.
“Now, I’m going to take Jimin to his dorm to clean up and take him to a nice breakfast. I want you BOTH to be in the same state he is in or I’ll tell Seokjin it was you two who ruined his game save files!” I threatened as I moved to peel my childhood crush off the floor.
“You wouldn’t!” Jeongguk gasped.
“He was so mad that his farm in Stardew Valley was just GONE. He loved his fucking ducks, Jeongguk, you monster!” I called out dramatically as Jimin tried to hold himself up, throwing his arm around my shoulders for support.
“We wanted to see the creepy-looking farm map! We made so much progress and misclicked!” Hoseok tried to save their future in vain.
“HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? HE WAS FARMING DIAMONDS BRO. DIAMONDS. ”
“YOU CAN DO THAT?”
“WE’RE LEAVING!” Jimin groaned nearly yanking me to the door.
Tumblr media
“I vow to stop storming out dramatically after arguments.” I sighed as I tried to make myself as comfortable as I could on Jimin’s bed.
“I would appreciate that.” Jimin gave me a playful scoff as he entered the dorm, freshly showered.
I tried not to giggle as he plopped himself next to me with a pout, his hair reminding me faintly of a porcupine.
“I really am sorry. I should’ve let it go as soon as you apologized. It was childish and I won't do it again.” I reiterated in a firm and determined tone that made Jimin let out a breathless giggle.
“It wasn’t childish and you weren't obligated to forgive me. You were angry. Understandably so.” Jimin sighed as he looked down at his hands.
A looming silence filled the air. I could feel it in his tone and the way he was sitting that he had more to say. So I kept quiet, trying not to jump in or rush him as he found his words.
When his words finally came it caught me so off-guard, “I felt jealous.”
I swore he was some kind of mythical creature when he looked up at me finally. The natural light coming from the dorm room window hit the white wall behind us causing his features to illuminate perfectly.
Jimin averted his eyes from me as he began to explain, “I really thought about it last night. On why I acted that way. You and Taehyung seemed to get along so well and I guess I started to compare it to how we are now. I was angry. I couldn’t talk to you like that or touch you like that. I can barely even hug you anymore because it’s so different now and I don't want to push your boundaries. I know it’s my fault it's like this and that it’s my fault we can’t be that way. It was wrong of me to get mad at you if I’m the reason our relationship is so complicated now. I’m sorry. I’ll try to control my emotions.”
I could feel my stomach fill with guilt.
I made out with Taehyung last night.
And now Jimin was pouring his heart out.
And now I wanted Jimin all over again but now Taehyung may have the wrong idea. Did I have the wrong idea? Did I read too much into Taehyung’s attention and throw myself at him? Were my emotions too high and I just fucked up so badly? Did I just make this even messier than it was before?
“What are you thinking about?” Jimin’s voice caused me to nearly jump out of my skin.
I snapped my guilt-filled eyes over to look at Jimin, trying my best to gather my thoughts.
“Why did you feel jealous?” What a stupid fucking question about something he already answered.
To my surprise, he seemed to think over my question.
Jimin’s lips pulled into a frown, “I felt like I was getting replaced. Like someone stole you from me, right in front of me. Like I already lost you. Everyone was warning me at the table to not interfere with what you had with Taehyung… even if it was possible you…” He trailed off his eyes averting once again as he pressed his lips together, his brows creasing.
“Is that what you were talking about when Taehyung and I left the table?”
Jimin nodded, “They noticed I was trying to butt in. They told me to back off. I just couldn’t help it though. What if you actually stopped preferring me and started preferring you spent time with Taehyung? What if you gave up your days just to take a ride to Daegu and left no time for me? What if you transferred schools to be closer to him? What if he hated me too and didn't want you to speak to me anymore? What if you finally realized I wasn't worth your time?”
The urge to hug Jimin only became stronger as I saw his eyes turn glossy, his eyes shifting to look at his lap and he tried to think more.
“That's why I told you it was stupid and to ignore me for the rest of the night. My complicated feelings shouldn’t stop your own. You watched me have girlfriend after girlfriend. You heard who I hooked up with the next day after it happened. You saw me flirt with others, you saw me kiss others, yet you never pushed yourself in, you never do what I do. I get so mad at myself because every time I act this way I think of that. That I’m being immature. That I’m entitled. That I’m such a stupid fucking hypocrite.”
“Jimin, can I hug you?” I asked softly, trying not to cry like an absolute fool.
Jimin looked up at me in complete surprise, “You want to hug me?”
I only nodded, reaching my hands out was the only confirmation he needed before immediately ducking down to shove his face into my shoulder and wrap his arms around my waist. One of my arms wrapped around his shoulders while the other held his head close to me. He let out a hum that vibrated my collarbone and warmed me from the inside despite his wet hair cooling my fingertips.
“We’re just both big idiots, huh?” I commented softly.
“Yoongi said it's because we share a single brain cell.” Jimin’s voice was muffled against my shoulder.
Before I could defend ourselves from Yoongi’s comment, Jimin unwrapped his arms to place his hands on my stomach and push me back so I was flat against the bed. Once I was flat Jimin used his knees to push open my legs and move to lay on top of me, his face back into my shoulder and his arms beginning to wrap around me once more as he let out a content sign.
“I missed you,” Jimin whispered as he nuzzled his face against the crook of my neck.
I tried to ignore the goosebumps that followed his action and tried to lay out the schedule for the day.
“Don’t get too comfortable, porcupine. I still have to take you to breakfast.” I tried to reach for the discarded towel for this man’s still dripping hair with little success.
Jimin took a deep breath, nuzzling his face into my shoulder with a hum, “Or we can take a nap and have lunch later.”
I let out a huff, accepting my fate of a wet shirt because the stupid towel wasn't in arms reach.
“I have classes in an hour, I can't sleep in.” I frowned.
“…Who gets 9am classes?”
“They were the only ones available on such short notice! It was either 9am or 7am and I don't think I’d function that early.” I whined.
“I’ll miss the breakfasts we had at 10.” Jimin sighed at the loss.
I let out a scoff, “More like your 10am hangover pity party.”
Jimin huffed at the jab, “Well now the pity party will move to lunch.”
“Or you could get up earlier, you know?” Jimin lifted his head to look at me in mock offense at the mere suggestion of something so vile.
“How dare you.” He muttered.
If he had pearls he’d clutch them about now.
I raised my hand to push the hair out of his face, enjoying the bare-faced view on top of me, “Apologies, your majesty, perhaps I could interest you in toast made by the finest lady in front of the university campus to make up for my grievances.”
Jimin’s eyes narrowed but he held no real malice, “I want an extra egg in mine.”
“Pardon, your grace?” I teased.
Jimin’s eye roll was somehow so relieving to see after all that happened last night.
“It would be unbecoming of me to evaluate so severely. I should absolve those I rule over readily for they are my people. I only ask for an additional golden egg to be lain upon said toast to reestablish the trust we have forged.”
I gave out a dramatic gasp, “Such a gracious Prince! To what do I owe to be in such a serendipitous standing to be ruled over by someone as dignified as you, your majesty? Such compassion will not be taken for granted!”
“Okay, you need to shut up now you’re giving me a headache.”
Tumblr media
“Do you think she gets a lot of money for running this?” Jimin asked, mouth slightly full as he looked around at the college students crowding the multiple carts and trucks around us.
It was pretty common for street vendors to come to the university parking lot to sell food in the mornings. They tended to stick around until after lunch, they’d leave then go to open up their shops for the night at the markets on popular streets or districts.
I’m sure I've seen a few nearby clubs and other shopping districts.
Jimin’s usual go-to was this nice older lady who made these sandwiches. Toast, a sauce, egg, cheese, and ham. It was simple but I think Jimin took a liking to her kind demeanor and the fact that she used reminded him of his own grandmother.
“Probably. Most markets are open throughout the day but I’m sure hungry college students surviving off of ramen flood them when they get the money.”
Jimin only let out a hum, clearly too preoccupied with his food to truly give a response. His puffy cheeks and pouted lips made me muster the strength to utter my next words.
“So, I’m just warning you that I was going to invite Taehyung for our group lunch.” I tried to play it off like I wasn’t internally freaking out about the possible reaction to my words.
He swallowed, looking over at me seeming to process my words for a moment.
“You know,” He began.
Oh no, here it comes.
“Maybe I should take you somewhere for dinner. I share you for almost every meal with other friends. I used to do it because it was easier that way and I didn't really want to spend too much time with you, but recently, I can’t help but feel like it's too little. We’ll have lunch with everyone but dinner is my time.” Jimin suggested.
Okay, maybe he didn't hear me.
“I do spend a lot of time with our friends and even more now that Taehyung is back in our lives.” I tried to give him hints that he couldn't avoid.
“Mhm, so we’ll have lunches with them but dinner is with me! My mom was sending me some recipes and I’ve been meaning to try out the hot plate my dad got me. We might have to go to the market for some pots though.” Jimin smiled.
It was so genuine that I had to be clear.
“Yes, lunch with Taehyung and dinner with you!” I tried again.
Jimin frowned.
Finally.
“Lunches are for the group. See if he’ll take the breakfast slot?”
EXCUSE ME.
“You’re talking like I'm a community center that needs a timeslot!”
Jimin shrugged, “I’m just saying I promised Jeonggukie I would always have lunch with him and I know everyone would miss you even if it were for a day. I’m not much of a morning person anyway so I’ll take the evenings but it’s banished to morning time.”
“Its name is Taehyung.”
“It’s annoyingly dense. Keep it away from me.”
“Jimin-”
“No.” Jimin’s voice was firm.
He took a deep breath before speaking like he was clearing his mind to choose his next words.
“I know I can’t keep you from seeing him as a friend. You’re a person, not an object. I don't mind him at friend gatherings because Jeongguk seems to like him and Yoongi has a soft spot for him. I shouldn’t ruin that with the problems I have for him in the past. All I ask is to not expect me to treat him like he’s my friend and like I have to be around him. Please?”
I only nodded at his reasoning. I really didn't want to force it on Jimin but I felt like it was unavoidable at some point.
“Now eat your sandwich! You have a busy day! Jeonggukie is gonna take you job hunting around 4:30-ish. In the meantime, I’ll look for pots and stuff after classes so we can have dinner together!”
Tumblr media
This is one of the first times I hoped classes were longer. Before I knew it, it was 1pm. The time everyone got a break for lunch.
I was undoubtedly nervous. One dinner with the group and Taehyung was a semi-disaster.
Would lunch be the same? I already confirmed with him that he was able to join us for lunch. What if Jimin changed his mind? What if Taehyung brought up our kiss? I never told Taehyung he couldn't say anything.
As I packed up my things I made sure to do it at a lethargic pace. Maybe I could get hit by a high-speed project from the robotics lab on the way there if I was lucky. I could go to the nurse or something to get out of it.
My slow walk through the campus brought a surprising sense of peace. Though Jimin didn't fully accept Taehyung, he did acknowledge him. It wasn't the best but it was a start.
I’ve felt closer to everyone than I have before. Hoseok, Jeongguk, Yoongi, and even Jimin himself. I felt like maybe him drunkenly telling me those things was a somewhat good thing. It brought a wave of change that I couldn’t help but look at positively. I can and do put myself first now. I don't feel lost or like I'm just existing at Jimin’s side. A soulless husk just wanting a crumb of affection.
As the sun scattered through tree leaves and the afternoon breeze caressed my face I couldn’t help but smile.
I should actually tell Jimin I kissed Taehyung. That was the healthy thing to do, right? I did promise to be more honest. So I would.
“Don't walk into a tree!” A scolding voice made me nearly jump out of my skin.
Letting out a yelp I jumped to the side away from the voice in horror.
“Don’t be loud, Noona. I came to make sure we have a game plan after classes.” Jeongguk looked way too lighthearted for basically making me jump out of my skin.
Of course, it was muscle bunny.
He was casually holding a convenience store spicy pork and black rice lunch box, a few triangle kimbap stacked on top. I never knew how he ate so much.
His doe eyes that nearly sparkled made it hard to be mad at him so I only sighed, walking by his side.
“Right, so do you have any places right off the bat that you’re interested in?” I asked while trying to steady my heart.
“There are a few places in Insadong that we can check out unless you want to stick to Hongdae?”
“We can always check out both, but I feel like Insadong may have more options since Hongdae is student-dense.”
Jeongguk nodded in agreement, “Less competition.”
Once we began to approach the usual spot it was a sight I didn't know I was ready for.
Yoongi’s back to us. Hoseok sitting next to Jimin. Taehyung sitting across from Jimin. No one was arguing, Jimin wasn’t even making a face, just unpacking the food while Hoseok was telling a story to everyone. Once we got into earshot we could hear part of it. A junior in the same class as Hoseok and Jimin was having trouble with memorizing steps.
Yoongi, of course, added his two cents like maybe slowing down for the juniors to which Jimin replied that they tried and he got embarrassed. So they continued brainstorming.
“You could tutor him on an off day, Hyung. I get embarrassed in front of others too. Alone would help more.” Jeongguk nearly dived for the spot across from Hoseok.
I quietly took my spot somewhat between Jimin and Taehyung, right across from Yoongi.
The thing I quickly noticed made me giggle a little. Most of us had convenience store meals. Lunch boxes or kimbap, maybe a bun here or there. All of us but Jimin who had a bowl of tteokbokki. It was stacked too. It had boiled eggs, green onions, fish cake and I swore I saw a dumpling for two in it.
“That is so much.” I giggled at him while opening my tea.
Jimin only smiled at me, “I was hoping to share with you, you usually get sandwiches or kimbap. We can dip them and everything.”
“You can share with me!” Jeongguk teased.
“Like you need more food,” Jimin grumbled deadpan.
I only shook my head at the interaction, “We can share the sandwich is kimchi chicken.” I informed him, moving my sandwich closer to his bowl.
“Did the ajummas bully you into getting something?” Hobi asked before taking a bite of his bun.
“No! I just had breakfast with F/n there this morning and saw this truck when we were there. I wanted some.” Jimin shrugged.
I didn’t remember seeing a tteokbokki truck though. Not even a little. I chose to push that aside for now as I used the toothpick provided to eat a rice cake.
“Well, at least Taehyung didn't betray us by getting actual food.” Jeongguk said dramatically.
“I would never!” Taehyung played along with a boxy smile.
“Hey! I didn’t betray you I was swayed with better benefits.” I defended.
“Which is betrayal.” Yoongi snickered.
“It’s being smart.” Jimin came to my aid, dipping his half of the sandwich in the sauce of the tteokbokki.
“On another note, Seokjin said he may be back sooner than he thought because someone got injured,” Hoseok informed.
“Jin-hyung was the one who got hurt I bet.” Jeongguk smiled.
“He said it wasn't him.” Hoseok chuckled.
“Namjoon didn't go with him so I have no clue,” Yoongi added.
“Leave that poor man alone he’s just trying to live his life peacefully,” I complained in honor of Namjoon.
“I can’t wait to meet them both. You guys talk about them a lot.” Taehyung finally spoke up.
“Yeah, Seokjin is more energetic than Namjoon. He might get along with you more at first, he's pretty blunt though so try not to get offended.” Jimin explained.
I couldn't believe he was actually talking to Taehyung.
“You’ll scare him with that description of Jin!” Yoongi laughed.
“Jin-hyung is goofy don’t worry.” Jeongguk patted Taehyung’s arm in reassurance.
“Jin-oppa would fight you for calling him goofy.” I cringed like he was about to pop out from behind the trees to prove my point.
“Oppa? How old is he?” Taehyung asked curiously.
Jeongguk smirked, “Older than Yoongi-hyung.”
“Why did you say that like I was ancient?” Yoongi took clear offense.
“He was born in ‘92, it’s not a big jump.” Hoseok sighed.
“And Namjoon?”
“Same age as Hope, just a few months apart.” Jimin smiled fondly at the thought of Namjoon.
“He’s more laid-back. Loves nature and poetry. He wants to be a writer and knows multiple languages. He’s pretty dreamy.” I interjected.
Jimin whipped his head to look over at me, “How can you say that in front of me after I got us this?”
“You cannot tell me Namjoon isn't dreamy!” I scoffed.
Jimin seemed to mull over my words, not having an argument. This only caused Hobi to laugh.
“I need to tell him that so he can get shy.” Hobi giggled in mischief as he took out his phone.
“Tell him I said it! I want the brownie points!” I piped up.
“Don’t tell him it was F/n, take all the credit!” Jimin argued.

Hexel's World Tour – Week 8 Indonesia
I can't believe I'm in my final destination! This month has flown by… what a whirlwind this trip has been. I am ending my trip in Indonesia! You all know me by now, so you know I had to go shopping! I was told to visit Jalan Surabaya Flea Market in Menteng! It was HUGE, just stalls and stalls of arts and crafts, fabrics, food, wood carvings! I asked one of the stall ladies and I think she told me that it's been around since the '70s. Or maybe she was saying the price of something was 70,000 Indonesian rupiah... Anyway, I got some souvenirs for the band. I even bargained the price down (which I learned to do when I was at Dongdaemun in Seoul! 🎁💵
Tumblr media
For sightseeing I went to Monas Tower and visited the observation deck. It was fun to see the whole city! There were explanations at the tower saying that it's a symbol of independence in Indonesia which was declared in 1945 after years of Dutch colonial rule.
Since there are so many islands in Indonesia, I wanted to visit some other ones, so I flew over to the Nusa Islands. There are so many beautiful beaches here and I tried to visit more than just one. They had really cool rock formations at a lot of them, and each of them had cool names like "Devil's Tear" or "Angel's Billabong." 🏖️🌊🗿
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, for non-beach fun, I went to Pura Paluang, which is a temple but the shrines are shaped like houses and cars. Which is why some people call it "Car Temple."🚗
Tumblr media
From Nusa, it was a quick flight to Komodo National Park for a day trip to see the Komodo dragons!🦎 They are so big! I was a little scared of them. Not as scared as when these scary guys chased me and Krista into an alley once (long story) but scared enough that I followed all the instructions of the tour guide and didn't get close at all! I am going to fly back to Jakarta and try to visit more museums. If you've been there, let me know where to go while I'm still here!
I have to admit I really miss my friends. These adventures by myself were fun and I had so much time to learn about the world and think about myself but I'm also glad I'm going home to Plainsville soon! I’m so grateful for this trip of a lifetime… and I’m excited to keep the adventures going as I find out more about my past and build a future with the best friends anyone could ask for: my band, FREE HEXEL!!! <3 <3 <3

a stoic, brick-faced building stands obstinately before him, a stern countenance and old-growth decay wearing down the once-robust red into a dull brown. despite the obvious age cloaking its carapace, it's apparent the edifice is well-cared for. in comparison to its sister-structures, it is a sore thumb, baked rock compared to sleek, shiny titanium walls and wide, yawning windows which invite inquisitive eyes to enter, unlike the one that towers before him. kai's expression, serpentine as it may be, hides all emotion as his gaze studies the outside of the shop.
quaint. almost endearingly so, he finds himself thinking. the strip of seoul is bustling with contemporary regard, abundant clouds of people jostling to their nine-to-fives and their shopping sprees.
and here he stands outside of an art studio.
one cannot fault him for his interest. the artist in question—while not well known—has a bit of a name in his field. kai shifts his phone into his back pocket as he settles a hand on the cool metal door handle and pulls it open. a bell chimes musically above his head, though the beast of gaia pays it little concern. instead two long-legged steps (for truly, his legs are the majority of his body, dancer's-limbs clad in luxurious black silk) bring him into the foyer and he sighs shortly out of his nose, an imperceptible sound to any but he.
the keeper of the establishment is not there to greet him. given his propensity for frequenting such buildings, kai knows the man is likely far to the back of the store, separated by a closed door that divides the sales gallery from the work shop. the entrance is, of course, for showcasing the artist's pieces.
canvases splashed in a wide, alluring array of hues and shades. bold bronze over streaks of bitter coal and milk-pure white, baby blues meshing with verdant green and hopeful orange. they all scream emotion, at the very least, and truly seeing them all is a bit difficult for kai to bear. constantly being subjugated to other's hearts and minds comes at a steep, steep price, and his patience is growing harder to come by. far easier to manage in the body of a dragon—a god-like form created to withstand such a pressure—a human frame is not accustomed to such exhaustive immensity. he cannot escape it in the heart of the city, and staring down canvases which beam their potency directly into his irises is like a heavy, crippling blanket. even so, he tolerates it. what else has he ever done?
every piece though, of course, is lovely. there is no denying that. though none are what kai is personally interested in.
the one he wants has yet to be created, actually.
kai tugs off two leather gloves from his long, veined hands, slow and leisurely as a man exits from the back of the room, summoned by the sing-song bell. kai settles an uncannily intense stare upon the other. he's shorter than kai, by a good head at least. rich brown hair that matches the time-worn edifice of the storefront is styled in a casual way that kai supposes is alluring. slim eyes, high cheekbones, a defined and sharp nose all sit in slender features that feel delicate given the usual strength and cut of most natives he sees. his greatest feature is also one of kai's own: a plush, pouty mouth with a buoyant, arching shape, pearly-rose tiers a far more muted shade of pink than kai's. the parallels never end, kai finds himself thinking distantly.
the air is scented by curiosity, though emboldened perhaps by the appearance of a possible customer. the man expels the cloyingly sweet scent of lyrical depth. withdrawn gray and the frothy, seeking cyan of a river at dawn, hibernation, boredom, lace and silk, dreamy as a kite in the sky. kai inclines his head to one side with a clinical impassiveness, his steady gaze giving the other male a slow, calculated once-over. while the look is innocent, he has the tendency to make others feel as if they are under a microscope.
amusingly, there are faint little droplets of paint that decorate the man's pale skin and clothes, though kai knows that it is only his skill that makes the mess so slight. were it kai behind an easel, he would be drenched in acrylic.
"greetings," the taller man states. his voice is low and husky, smoky as if burning tinder lives somewhere in his throat. a withered calcification of whatever fire his species was once known for, perhaps. kai's expression is utter deadpan calm, tranquil as a windless ocean as he watches the other, gaze unblinking and unmoving, like a snake staring down at a field mouse.
despite the scarring to his right leg, his steps are even and steady, graceful as the dancer he almost was as he closes the distance to a respectable reach. he gives no indication of what wound lurks under his dark clothes.
"you can call me KK, or kai. i don't care which. i am here to commission you."
if the other were to study him, he would know at a glance at least money appears to be no object; kai is dressed in custom-tailored, name-brand attire, form-fitting and flattering and elongating a sleek jungle-cat litheness. that said, kai has never been good at small talk, niceties and the back-and-forth that is expected from meeting a stranger. surely another would have praised the pieces being displayed, or requested the name of who they were speaking to to ensure that it was in fact the artist in question. kai does not bother. he can tell from the meter and a half they stand apart that this is indeed willow.
willow, willow, willow. so fascinating, kai thinks (with no intention to ever express), that the man before him is named for a type of tree, when kai himself goes by mahogany in his own diary. he is a tree, when kai is the personification of nature and earth. green, growing things and roots that go deep.
more interestingly, the parallels do not end there. the beast of gaia is looking into the eyes of an artist who has become famous for turning his synesthesia into art. a rare disorder that kai can only think of one other he knows plagued by: that other being himself.
fascinating indeed. the blossom of a nosy interest he holds at bay struggles to unfurl. perhaps, in a kinder life—one less wrought with pain, scars, and tears—kai could live as willow is living. rather than forced into the role of scientist, traveling the world as a university's prized stud horse to speak at fellow technological institutes scattered across the lands, he too could have pursued a life of art and peace, of quiet living and obscurity. would it have been he splattered with paints, selling works from behind the safety of an old, enchanting building? if only.
but fate has never been as kind to him, and she never will be.
