saw this place from facebook that they cook the famous malaysian dish - nasi lemak, in bamboo tube, finally went to try this early last month and it was a simple yet very nice meal.

there are two versions of the bamboo nasi lemak, one with seafood and the other with rendang chicken, we ordered one each to try the taste. they also serve the normal nasi lemak with a few different side dishes as well.

nasi lemak indeed came out in a bamboo, then the staff with pour it out to a plate for consumption, as the rice is being served, the fragrance is just amazing and so appetizing, couldn’t wait to dig in.

both the seafood and the rendang chicken versions taste awesome, and the bamboo fragrance remains in the rice and meat itself, so it’s a totally different sensation from eating the normal nasi lemak. sambal is also pretty good, on the spicy side. and the portion is actually really big, with lots of rice.

would definitely recommend trying this if you are nearby, there are a few outlets in different areas, so pick the one nearest. pricing wise is alright, given that this is something quite different, and if you are a small eater, the dish should be shared.
