hannah montana but she is in DOOM
i drew this because vargskelethor did a Linux destruction stream that was hannah montana themed and he played DOOM and it ended up destroying the system. so i had to get the idea of this out im so sorry lmfao
its kinda half-finished but its ok i was tired of working on it. down below is where I turned the DOOM enemies into vargskeletons with their little mushroom hats
and the initial sketch that I said I wouldn’t fix but did anyway because i dont know my priorities

The Truth of the Twitter Temeraire AU
okay okay so @chimaerakitten and I stared at the glorious crack that is the Twitter AU of Temeraire too long
and realised that the only logical way to at all have the plot of Temeraire play out in the modern day, with modern technology, that doesn't somehow require every individual continent on Earth having independetly gone for a No-Contact Wakanda style blackout
is Europe, 200 years ago, deciding to absolutely double-down on the dragon-phobia
and fallen into some 1984-style dystopia where the average civilian has extremely limited contact with all nations outside of Europe
in order to preserve the illusion that dragons are nothing by mindless beasts
but ALSO lol Laurence needs to figure out how twitter works

Chuuya is so interesting because despite everything about his design, he's not really an antagonist, and only a villain because of his massive list of crimes and association with the Port Mafia. Every one of his appearances he's often HELPED our protagonists.
the only instance that I can think of where he was REALLY playing an antagonistic role was the tunnel fight against Yosano and Kenji. But even then he was just acting as a messenger on behalf of to warn the ADA get cracking on saving their employees and fighting the Guild.
ACTUALLY, speaking of Chuuya being kind of a messenger. Every time he appears in the manga you KNOW some huge narrative changes are about to go down
dazai learning about the guild's bounty on atsushi
atsushi coming up with the idea to ally with the mafia
the q threat being solved
the city not being destroyed in dead apple
ada vs pm war in cannibalism
ada being saved in the helicopter scene and the alliance with the mafia
we don't know how this will pan out yet, but chuuya's reintroduction as a vampire in the prison arc seems to be leading to some major status quo changes in the battle against Dostoevsky and kickstart character development in both him AND Dazai.
There's been a lot of discussion on how chuuya is trapped in his circumstances, but low-key it's way more meta than that. Chuuya is kind of a hero trapped within a villain's role.

this ask about whether ravenstan ever gets to read jerseykyle’s letters from his special stan notebook is taking me a while because i’m in the writing mood and want it to sound really nice, but there’s this soul crushing part i just finished writing abt kyle often not even using the journal to write stan letters, but rather, as a utility tool where he takes down notes of things he needs to remember or…grocery lists for things the house needs.
and i wrote this little stream of consciousness about how kyle feels in grocery stores that broke my heart a little and i wanted to share it with all of you because i think it speaks a lot to how he’s struggling and how his broken psyche works and whirs almost robotically. anyways there is a large tw for ed, please heed that warning and read with caution. i promise i never write from a place of shock value, my work is always written as a cautionary tale and an authentic depiction of just how much our warped perceptions can alter out real lives.

He's a beauty, as always. The mole under his eye is sexy indeed. But while well-tempered, rather than being a gemstone carefully worked on by a craftsman, he’s a beauty formed by being caught up in rough, stormy seas.
— Eichi, upon seeing Yuzuru for the first time in the novelization
