2. Do you know why you were named that?

Mama and Baba wanted something different but in keeping with their Egyptian heritage.

3. Single or taken?

*hesitates and looks sad* I was with a beautiful man for 10 years. He was recently killed in a tragic accident.

4. Stop being a Mary Sue!

I wasn’t expecting that after I just shared something horrible...

5. What’s your eye color?

Brown

6. How about hair color?

Black.

7. Have you any family members?

My parents and a sister, who I don’t see very often and recently a new, kind of adorable, nephew.

8. Oh, how about pets?

No.

9. That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like

I don’t like grief very much. It’s a pain in the...proverbials.

10. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?

I love gaming, although I haven’t played a lot lately. I just don’t feel like it. And programming stuff, making mods and such.

11. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before?

Sure.

12. Ever… killed anyone before?

No.

13. What kind of animal are you?

I’m not really an animal type of person… I could be a tree though. One of those big old oak trees, all gnarly...well, that’s what I feel like right now anyway.

14. Name your worst weaknesses.

Probably being too up front and blunt. I think it gets me in trouble sometimes. I have to reign it in.

15. Do you look up to anyone at all?

Jay. He comes to mind first. All the time. I always looked up to him. He was….amazing…. *teary*

Straight

Not for a while.

18. Ever want to marry and have kids one day?

Nope I never did...until a baby turned up on my doorstep. Now I kind of have a kid by default, and not my fault!

Ah, no. That was Jay’s domain.

20. What are you most afraid of?

Never feeling normal again.

21. What do you usually wear?

I like things that are different and colourful, you know, a little bit, out there? I haven’t really felt like dressing like that lately though...

22. What’s one food that tempts you?

I love all the food stalls in San My. We used to have so much fun trying out new stuff… Anyway, I loved the Ramen. Baba also has a kebab recipe that I like. It was handed down from his Teta (grandmother) I think.

23. Am I annoying you?

It’s okay.

Middle, I guess.

Four close friends and many others.

27. What are your thoughts on pie?

I can’t say I think about it very often. It’s nice to have occasionally?

Coffee and tea. I like cider and Jagermeister is a good drink.

29. What’s your favorite place?

San My district where I lived. The Spice district. The colour, smells, flavours, yeh, I miss it.

30. Are you interested in anyone?

*quiet voice* No.

Thank you for moving on. I probably feel about the same for them both. I’d prefer to swim in a pool.

I don’t think I have a ‘type’. I’m not really at a place where I’m thinking about it.

*sarcastic* Yes, I like dressing up as characters from my games and...can we move on?

Either. No preference.

Most favourite to least favourite characters. Ooo, boy. Tough. I’m going to stick to the main seven protagonists, because I suspect that’s who you mean. This is hard because honestly, I love them all very closely for all they’re very different.

I think Jack’s just the hardest for me right now because he’s in such a hard place emotionally right now and I haven’t written a good deal about him yet. He’s going to get dragged more into centre stage in chapter three, along with Adam and Honey.

Andee might surprise you, because she’s not be hugely centre stage, but honestly I have such a soft spot for her. She’s so cynical and sarcastic, but her love for Honey is so pure.

Characters #5 Write something you love and dislike the most about one of your characters.

Hmmm. I’m going to pick on Jason Caine.

What do I like about him? He’s actually a great ‘regular’ guy. He’s seriously not complicated on the surface. He’s funny, charming, wears t-shirts, has a serious romantic streak running through him.

What do I dislike about him? He lets that shallow mask rule him sometimes and can be very cold, very distanced from his inner emotions and very selfish. He really does NOT care about other people. Most people he could either have a light, funny conversation with or kill without batting an eyelid. Possibly both within a very short space of time.

Jason is ruthless even if he looks like a big friendly puppy on the surface and it’s honestly a real juggling act for me trying to expose all the facets of his character.

We’ll be seeing more of all of this in the future, of course.

Thank you guys all so much, I know I’ve gone missing but its time I tell you why. 

My husband and I have decided to separate after a few years of trying and failing to make our marriage work. We’re trying to do this as amicably as possible. 

I’m looking to buy a flat near some friends of mine and currently sleeping in the spare room whilst we figure out how to proceed. 

In the meantime I’ve not generally been online much at all as I’ve been working hard and spending more time with RL friends who have been amazing with me. 

I thank you all for your positive words, thoughts and vibes. It means a lot.

OK, this is difficult, so I’ve been putting it off! 

I like my hair colour.

I like that I’m pretty good at choosing friends that I think will be good for me. 

I like that I am pretty comfortable around lots of people, but that I’m also comfortable just being by myself.

I like that a childhood spent watching Friends allows me to have a random quote for any given situation. 

I like that I found this awkward and difficult because I hate to think of myself as conceited or self-obsessed.
