Mike Horn und die Liste seiner Errungenschaften als Solo-Entdecker sind beispiellos, daher fühlen wir uns geehrt, dass er mit uns über die Reise spricht, die ihn verändert hat Die großen Entdecker Roald Amundsen und Ernest Shackleton würden auf Mike Horn sicherlich mit Anerkennung und Bewunderung blicken. Er ist wohl der größte moderne Entdecker der Welt. Der in Südafrika geborene Schweizer Entdecker und Abenteurer hat wahrscheinlich mehr von der Welt gesehen als jeder andere Mensch auf der Erde. Er ist solo durch den Amazonas geschwommen, hat eine unmotorisierte Weltumsegelung am Äquator absolviert, ist in der dunklen Jahreszeit zum Nordpol gelaufen (übrigens waren schon mehr Menschen auf dem Mond) und hat es auch geschafft, die 8.000 der Welt zu besteigen Meterspitzen – alle 14. Er ist kürzlich aus Pakistan zurückgekehrt, nachdem er versucht hatte, den K2 zu besteigen und mit Skiern zu befahren. Natürlich hat er. Welche Region oder welche Reise hat Sie am meisten beeindruckt? Für seine Schönheit, Grönland – insbesondere die Südwest- und Ostküste. Ich habe Grönland auf Skiern durchquert und umsegelt. Es hat mich verändert, weil ich die Natur mit so göttlicher Schönheit gesehen habe, so unberührt von Menschen, so wild und doch so schön. Durch meine Jahre des Reisens habe ich gelernt, die Natur niemals als selbstverständlich anzusehen. Ich war überrascht von der großen Befriedigung, entlang der Küste zu segeln und das Land aus einem anderen Blickwinkel zu sehen: inmitten der majestätischen Schönheit der Eisberge, der Farben und der unglaublichen Tierwelt zu sein. Wie alt warst du? Alt genug! Bei wem warst Du? Einige Gleichgesinnte, die sich für die Natur begeistern. Hast du die Reise wiederholt? Ja und werde es tun, wann immer sich eine Gelegenheit ergibt. Hast du noch ein großes Traumziel, das du nicht erreicht hast? Der Mond! Reiseführer oder nicht Reiseführer? Auf keinen Fall! Kein Reiseführer! Sind Sie Planer oder Schaulustiger? Ich muss einige Pläne machen, wenn ich auf eine Expedition gehe, aber wenn ich reise, sehe ich, wie ich gehe. Hotel oder Hostel (oder Camping)? Unter den Sternen ist der einzige Weg, dies zu tun. Was war Ihr wichtigstes Reiseerlebnis? Jede Reise ist großartig und es gibt immer etwas, das man mitnehmen kann. Denken Sie jedoch daran, dass Sie der Natur immer etwas zurückgeben müssen, denn ohne sie sind wir nichts. Warum reisen? Es weckt Ihre Sinne.
