In the realm of Outworld, the powerful Emperor Shao Kahn displayed a completely different side when it came to his beloved daughter, Kushina. Despite his fearsome reputation, Shao Kahn was a loving and devoted father who couldn't resist spoiling his little princess.

On a sunny afternoon, Shao Kahn was in his room with Kushina, enjoying some time together. Sitting in front of a large mirror, the emperor held a comb in his hands while Kushina laughed excitedly.

With each pass of the comb, Shao Kahn carefully untangled his daughter's long red hair. He made sure to be gentle and patient, knowing that gentleness was necessary to prevent her from any discomfort.

Kushina, full of confidence and affection towards her father, kept a radiant smile on her face. She loved how Shao Kahn gave her time and attention, creating a special bond between them.

As she continued to comb his daughter's hair, Shao Kahn shared stories and life advice. He spoke of her desire to always protect her and her hope to see her grow into a strong and brave woman. It was evident that Shao Kahn wanted the best for her and was willing to support her every step of the way.

After finishing combing her hair, Shao Kahn kissed Kushina on the forehead and told her how much he loved her. Together, they enjoyed quiet moments, hugging and sharing laughter. At that moment, Shao Kahn stopped being the ruthless emperor and became a tender and loving father.

The bond between Shao Kahn and Kushina was inseparable. Although in the outside world Shao Kahn was known for his strength and dominance, in the intimacy of his family relationship, he showed the gentler and protective side of him. To him, her daughter was her most precious treasure, and there was nothing he wasn't willing to do for her.

Thus, in the midst of that intimate moment, Shao Kahn and Kushina strengthened their relationship, forging an unbreakable bond of love and trust. This encounter, far from battles and violence, demonstrated that even in the most powerful hearts the most tender and pure love can prevail.

Shao Kahn had never heard of Earthrealm holidays. He never really cared about other realms, only caring for power and the joy he got from it. He wanted to rule over everything. That all changed when he met you, and you refused to go with him. You wanted him to give up his concubines and make a few changes. He had never met someone who acted like that. There was something about you, though, that made him want to change. He followed along with you. In public, he kept his same behavior up. He didn't want to be seen as weak. He didn't want others to think they could easily take the throne from him. He wasn't going to be taken down after all of the hard work that he had done to achieve what he had now.

You celebrated your holidays, and Shao Kahn sat back, watching how and what you did. He was happy to see how happy you were, and he enjoyed seeing how excited you were telling him about it. He only vaguely understood the holidays that you told him about. He was still learning and trying his best to follow along. You hung the mistletoe up and waited for Shao Kahn to come along. You grew tired of waiting for him. You weren't sure where he was or when he would be coming back. You only knew you didn't want to be standing there if someone else showed up. It wouldn't matter, as no one else really knew or cared about your beloved holiday. However, you didn't want to run the risk. There was also the fact that no one wanted to piss off the Emperor. No one would dare mess with you for fear of what Shao Kahn might do. You made your way through the castle, trying your best to find Shao Kahn. You couldn't remember what he said he was doing or where he was going. You were going to find him and follow him to see where he went. It seemed like it could be an easier task.

You made sure to keep your footsteps quiet as you walked around the castle. You didn't want him to see or hear you. Although you wouldn't be surprised if someone had already said something to Shao Kahn, you found him just as he was walking out of the meeting room. You quickly hid behind the wall. Your heart was racing, and you were sure that he could hear it. You breathed in slowly and out, trying to steady your breathing and calm your racing heart. You didn't want him to know you were here. He went about his day, oblivious to your presence. You waited before walking after him. He didn't stop when he passed through the archway that held the mistletoe.

“Shao Kahn.” You called.

He stopped and turned around. He was standing directly under the mistletoe.

“Yes?”

You smiled as you made your way to him. He waited without saying a word. You wrapped your arms around him, and he picked you up off the ground. You placed a kiss on his lips, which he returned. He had no objections and waited for you to answer the question he had asked previously.

“You're standing under the mistletoe.”

He looked up and smiled before looking back at you and giving you a kiss.

Mortal Kombat characters as shit I've wanted to say at work

Jus as a little disclaimer; I work as a server in the kitchen of a nursing home. So to address future comments I might get-

No, I cannot kick problematic people out or ban them from the dining room(s) (there are multiple). That is up to social services, (if a resident is being unruly) and the kitchen director/my boss (if a guest is being unruly)

I cannot refuse service to them unless it is for help with a medical thing, (i.e; going to the bathroom, administrating medicine, or feeding them) as I "legally", < (rule set by the old dining director and carried on by our current one, so I am questioning on if that is an actual law set by state concerning my job position, or just something added by the old director) am not allowed to do so.

The Reader in this scenario will be a Dark Caster (a dark witch/wizard/warlock/sorcerer/etc..) paired with Mortal Kombat 11 characters. Yes, retconned Sindel will be used here because I thought it would be better for this scenario.

The What If timelines

I really wish MK1 expanded on the what if scenarios and timelines. We know of their existence, but we don't know them intimately like we've seen with Liu Kang's timeline, or even momentarily with Shang Tsung back in mk11.

I really wanna see more Good Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Kano-Sonya and Janet Cage. Hell, even Ninja Meme Johnny. We never hear most of the other versions speak, we only see glimpses of them or just have them on screen for like a minute.

The fact that there's a version of Johnny that showed up in the final battle dressed as Ninja Mime means that he is literally a ninja mime, and I kinda wanna see a story behind that. Maybe being talkative annoyed everyone so much that it made him feel bad and study the art of silent kung fu or something.

I want to see some Janet Cage in a story mode, I get a vibe from her that she feels more inclined to prove herself. Is she the only genderbent version in her universe or is everyone genderbent? Is she trans? She's an action star, but she didn't want to be the sexualised female heroin or sidekick, so acts cocky and obnoxious to prove that she's more than a sex symbol, her ego as some kind of defence mechanism against the sexism in Hollyweird. But that kind of takes away the point of Janet's character (because she's Johnny).

I would really like to see Shang Tsung interact with good Shang Tsung, see how many versions of himself he can hate. Is good Shang Tsung's Liu Kang evil too?

Why does Shang Tsung have clones of Kitana if he has an evil Kitana working for him? Why would evil titan versions of the heroes help Shang Tsung? Wouldn't it be a hassle to try over throweach other because of greed and stuff?

Why are evil versions to begin with? What is their backstory? Cross-over characters... I have so many questions (genderbent ninjas, character with another's aesthetic for example: Lizard Queen).

We have evil versions of the characters, but no evil Johnny (except John Khaner). Missed opportunity to have an evil Johnny, could've made it a Jill Roberts situation where there's a timeline of evil Johnny that only cares about the fame because of some deep rooted issue. In fact, I've already mentioned John Kahner, I want to know how he became Kahn.

Back to the Mileena clones of Titan Shang Tsung, re-watching the fight I saw that they were all colour coded (red, blue, yellow, pink), so they have a rank or Shang Tsung cares about differenciating them so that they're not so much mindless killers that just do his bidding. Do they have other names? Do they all secretly want Shang Tsung's approval? Do they conspire against one another? Is he their father figure now that Shao Kahn isn't in the picture? Do they have a sister bond with each other? Is Kitana their mean older sister?

Now that our timeline has Mileena and Kitana as actual sisters, is there a timeline where Mileena and Skarlet are sisters? A timeline where Shao Kahn is a good, loving father and husband? I have so many questions.

A/N: Okay this one is gonna be short but I came up with a perfect scenario--

Mileena snarled as she climbed off of the shredded carcass of one of Earthrealm's champions. Some blonde human woman wearing a Special Forces uniform. She didn't care, her blood and viscera tasted sweet; even as she wiped the excess from her fanged maw.

The battle was going well, over half of the pitiful army that Raiden and his entourage had assembled lay dead on the battlefield.

The buzz of the adrenaline she felt heightened her euphoria as she turned to see you flip your pike around and skewer that pathetic Johnny Cage as he howled in grief. Apparently, the female Mileena had just disemboweled was his daughter, Cassie. The sight of the blood splashing from him as his intestines fell into his own hands coated you in a beautiful shade of red, making Mileena's heart stutter within her chest.

You were like some primal god of violence and death, a flurry of kicks, flips, and death-dealing blows as you annihilate each target you set yourself to.

"Mileena." Kitana's voice spat from behind her.

"Ssssssister..." Mileena drawled, twirling to face her.

Kitana scowled from behind her mask, readying her bladed fans with a flourish. "You are a disgusting facsimile, nothing more."

"Hahaha!" Mileena cackled, pulling her sais from Cassie Cage's warm, bleeding corpse. "I wanted us to be a family... But I don't see us braiding each other's hair anytime soon."

"Never, Mileena." Kitana growled, her clone's name dripping from her lips like foul poison.

The two women moved like lightning, metal clashing, blades slicing deep enough to cut but not seriously wound, they moved in a violent, macabre dance that was only put to a pause when Kitana landed a very lucky kick to her gut, knocking the wind from her and sending her flying into a foot soldier.

Kitana climbed a top Mileena and grabbed her by the hair, pressing the sharp side of her fan blade to her clone's throat after pinning her arms behind her. "Look at what your mindless violence and hubris has brought, Mileena! Look!"

Mileena's golden eyes glared angrily at the scene in front of her, her heart sinking with horror at what she was witnessing. The former Revenant Scorpion and Kuai Liang began swiping at you with their weapons; Scorpion with his sword and Kuai Liang with his frozen scythes.

You were holding your ground, but that territory slipped with each swipe and parry of your pike, each kick that knocked you off balance.

The worst had yet to come; that final blow, dealt by both Earthrealmers in unison--Scorpion's sword to your chest and one of Kuai Liang's scythes to your gut, your blood spurting in a way that Mileena would normally have found ethereal... had it not been coming from you, her greatest treasure.

"Look at what you've done, Mileena. The senseless deaths because of you." Kitana snarled. "See what mother and Shao Kahn's madness has--"

Mileena couldn't hear her "sister" any longer. She couldn't hear her lecture or heroic speech. All she saw was red at the edges of her vision as time seemed to slow down.

She wrenched her arms free, tipping her head down to dig her fangs into Kitana's arm, her blood tasting foul on her tongue as she shredded veins, muscle and sinew; severing the offending limb with haste as she yanked her fan from her flying palm.

Mileena spun around as Kitana clutched her bleeding stump, crying and sobbing in pain as she desperately tried to stop her spurting blood flow. She raised the pointed end of the fan as Kitana looked up at her, and plunged it into her skull as far as she possibly could, leaning down to tear out her throat with her teeth for added measure.

She turned around, mad with rage, a part of her hoping--praying--that maybe she could save you, force one of their magic-wielding lackeys to heal you before it was too late...

But the way you lay limp on the blood-stained ground, your murderers standing above you, told her otherwise.

And once again, Mileena lunged.

Once their remains lay shredded and scattered at her feet, Mileena stumbled towards you, sobbing hysterically as she dropped to her knees at your side. Her hands clenched and unclenched aimlessly as she looked down at your bloodied corpse, your lifeless hands clutching at the wound to your abdomen as dead, lightless eyes stared widely up at the sky.

She ripped at her hair, tearing bloody chunks of it from her scalp before she clutched at your dead body, rocking back and forth as the battle raged on around her.

At some point, she could hear Shao Kahn's victorious cry. The Titan Kronika was dead, the Hourglass was won; Liu Kang lay dead at he and Sindel's feet. Shang Tsung disemboweled like hunted game.

But none of that mattered, now.

Only you, and the beautiful voice Mileena may never hear say her name again.

Who would be the Keeper of Time?

Hey. I come with a different kind of post today, because I found this subject interesting.

So, as most of you must know, we currently have an official MK multiverse, thanks to MK12. Which, if FGLK can explain for me:

There it is. According to this concept of multiverse, every universe (or timeline, whatever you prefer) is the result of a different character getting the Hourglass and doing whatever they want with their world. I wonder which MK character wanted to create Stung Lao now. 🤔

I am personally ignoring this concept of multiverse for my stuff, because of how limiting it is to me: every different thing from normal canon in each AU cannot be random, it has to be something an MK character would have done with the Hourglass. If I wanted to do a universe under the premise of What if Bi-Han spared Hanzo?, for example, I would have to explain why a Keeper of Time would change only that event and nothing else. It just limits the potential of a multiverse from my point of view.

Even official MK seems to think like this outside of MK12. Unless an alternative Kronika who won the MK11 battle or something is revealed in the future, the universe of MK: Onslaught seems to lack a Keeper of Time completely.

Every AU I'll ever make will follow the logic of being a 'natural' AU, it exists without the need of a Keeper of Time creating it previously, which includes Twisted Reflection of course. Their origin will be the original one: the Elder Gods destroying the One Being and creating the realms as a result.

However, I think that putting my little brain to work to think who would be the Keeper of Time if I actually needed to do it is interesting. So here I will present who would be the Keeper of Time of Twisted Reflection as an alternative take (I emphasize, not what I am doing for the actual story).

With all that said, here we would have the most plausible Keeper of Time for Twisted Reflection:

It goes along with the overall themes of Twisted Reflection

This is a universe in which the good intentions of most of the regular MK heroes are twisted by many factors until they become villains. Who better than the twisted goddess of life and virtue to be its creator?

It could explain Mirror Shao Kahn and Mirror Shinnok

The majority of characters in Twisted Reflection try to have a reason why they are different from the canon characters. Mirror Reiko grew up in a non-tyrannical society and had a good role model in Mirror Shao Kahn, Mirror Sindel was raised from birth to be the authoritarian evil ruler she is, etc.

The three big exceptions are Mirror Shao Kahn, Mirror Shinnok and Mirror Cetrion herself. They are different because I want and I can. And I am going to keep it like that.

However, in this alternative scenario, Mirror Cetrion would be a Cetrion corrupted as a consequence of the actions she took after getting the Hourglass, and she could use it to influence Shao and Shinnok's lives, as you will see in my next point.

There is a way to connect Cetrion's MK11 ending and Twisted Reflection

In Cetrion's MK11 ending, her objective is for 'good to flourish', to triumph over evil. She reaches the conclusion that for mortals to 'embrace the light', they need to battle 'evil' until they manage to overcome it, and she proceeds to 'baptize the realms with fire' to make it happen. Needless to say, this is a ridiculously drastic measure which can perfectly be read as her desire for everything to be perfect from her point of view becoming an obsession. With that, we already have our twisted version of Cetrion.

Now, what about the rest of the characters? Well, Cetrion's ending implies that her forces of evil would include Shinnok, Dark Raiden and even herself. But what if that attempt failed and decided to restart the timeline and try something different?

She knows who tend to be the most prominent combatants across all realms, which factions will be the most prominent ones in future battles. Why not turn them all into fighters of 'good', so the 'evil' ones who remain are completely overwhelmed in the next timeline? And why not give them even more motivation to fight?

With that line of thought, she would make the changes necessary for the already virtuous combatants to follow paths which would lead them to not just oppose what's wrong, but to persecute it, exterminate it, impose their ways over everyone. That's why she would give the first Edenians who ever existed certain ideas so the most ideal Regime she could think of was created, for example.

With those who were evil in the previous universe, on the other hand, she would try to 'fix them'.

Maybe she gave them better influences or better lives. Maybe she spoke much more constantly with her brother since they were young (by Elder Gods' standards) so he could see the beauties of peace annd prosperity. Maybe she took care of teaching Shao Kahn the ways of virtue from the moment he was created (protector god equivalent of being a baby, let's say). And yet, in the end, they would end up opposing her and her allies. She would write them off as a lost cause, believing they were always meant to be 'wrong' no matter what. In her obsession, she wouldn't realize she actually succeeded too much for her own good, and they all have become individuals with enough moral integrity to oppose her.

All left for Cetrion would be following her plan for a great war between 'good' and 'evil' to happen in her new timeline, hoping that she won't need to restart it again, and not knowing that her plans could backfire this time...

And that's been my little alternative scenario for my own AU. AU of an AU? 😵

OUTFIT — Kitana wears a semi-full gear outfit with two shoulder-blades on the edges. The two primary colors consist of Blue & Black. Which collapses into irony between the two symbols of the colors — but they balance each other out. Blue seemingly seems to be more of the prominent part of her outfit, with large highlights of black.

Blue symbolizes “serenity, stability, inspiration, and wisdom.” All things that Kitana is deeply known for, if not the most iconic for. To me, in Mortal Kombat 11 she vastly represents strength, inspiration, stability, and wisdom. She does everything for outworlders, and if that isn’t enough, she even blinds her ‘father.’ To further represent her intentions, she calls off the civil war between outworld and the rebels. Symbolic to how she rather have peace and stability than conflict and chaos. The blue is the symbol of her undying spirit for her country, and it represents her intentions for the people. Realizing that conquest and war is not the answer, she chooses to be rational and open-minded. She’s wise for making the call for Baraka, understanding she wants peace rather than conflict. There is no point in fighting for Shao just to cause more and more division between Outworld.

Her blue bandana represents how calm and collected she is. She knows that acting out of reason and being impulsive isn’t going to get her anywhere, let alone convince anyone to fight with her. It is canon that Sheeva holds high regards to her opinions, and will listen to her out of anyone. Kinda symbolizing that she’s one of few people who can get through to most anyone. She’s reasonable, and compassionate, something a lot of leaders should have. Her compassion for the safety and well-being of her people inspires others around her to fight for her cause, if not to protect. Her wisdom and courage stabilizes people’s spirits, she is their upbringing; she is their hope. Notice how happy people are when she announces herself as Kahn? How celebrated the moment is? The sheer happiness on everyone’s face when she is called ‘Kahn.’ Like a fire relighting in the dark; hope has returned.

Black symbolizes elegance, wealth, restraint, and power. Again, things that Kitana are deeply if not most iconically related to. Her elegance is a strict sense from her royal life; her outfits contrast beauty and strength. Her skills with the fan and her flexibility represents her elegant style of Kombat. (It feels right in this statement) It expresses her abilities throughout Kombat more than her character in reason. The black is more prominent through fights, whilst blue is prominent through reason. Why she provided by a blue banana on top of her head rather than a black or patterned one. Both colors represent a different way that her character shines throughout in the game. She is a powerful character both status and skill. She isn’t to be underestimated, but doesn’t let her royalty and privilege define her too. She’s a person who holds much power, and can basically do anything within her imagination, but she acts out of reason and wisdom. Still contrasting between the power and elegance of her status.

I’m sure many people would love to be her or in her shoes. To make decisions, and command armies larger than the average army. She basically has almost everything at her feet, but she never acts out of her morality. She’s honorable, decret when needed. She doesn’t ever act out of line, nor try to tarnish her relationships with other power leaders. Regardless of her reputation among other races / classes. She doesn’t not act other than her own, through experience rather than say. Her open-mindedness keeps her from creating false scenarios or opinions on others. The restraint she holds through herself represents the flexibility of her thoughts and actions. Most of her emotions are similar to serenity, untroubled, peaceful, calm. It holds the balance of reason and rationality with her emotional state. Stressful, but noble. She understands her place, and won’t overstep her authority nor boundaries. She holds everyone she works with in high regard, and thanks them immensely for their help. Without her allies, her becoming ‘Kahn,’ would not be possible.

WEAPONS — Fans are her primary weapon, alongside a staff gifted to her by Jade. Through training she uses the staff, but through Mortal Kombat, she used fans and wind magic. Wind can mean a few things, freedom, and inner peace. Both things that are clearly seen and known through Kitana. Her upbringing in easily picking up fans resonates with her longing to be freed from Shao’s grasp. Using her metal fans to blind him is like taking a huge weight off of a bird, she can be free. She doesn’t have anything else weighing her down.

Fan’s symbolize “prosperity, gradually spreading and flourishing, wealth and royalty.” She does flourish through Kombat, and is an amazing fighter. So it would only make sense to associate self-healing or flourishing throughout a tough time. Something that Kitana has done over and over again, mind-control, conquest, death of both parents’, and unconsented experimentation. Everything that has made Kitana who she is in Mortal Kombat 11 came from those experiences, her undying passion for the greater good. How she portrays herself, the way she can and will cut off any kind of ‘unnecessary relationships.’ She is swift and courageous, like anyone, she is somebody who is proud and willing to help out anyone in need. Through her becoming Kahn, she no longer is shackled by the chains that held her back. Which was Shao Kahn, her ‘father.’ She is flourishing through the longed for and deserved freedom. She now protects her people, and can finally take matters into her own hands. Regardless of how stressful it will be.

Her prosperous life collides with her hardships. The way she portrayed herself throughout the games deeply contrasts with the reality of her life. Royalty, yes, but not heaven. Kitana realizes this, and doesn’t take it to her advantage, actually, she does the exact opposite. She doesn’t take anything for granted, and appreciates any and every help that she gets. She delivers the same efforts, while helping out her allies like that have helped her. Indicating that she would rather show her support & appreciation rather than thank it. Her skills exceed most others' expectations, causing others to usually underestimate her. Making things easier for her to impress rather than praise. It's not like she feeds off of praise, she doesn’t care if she gets it or not. It doesn’t affect her. She’s steadfast, and has nailed down her beliefs and values. She will not change that for anyone. Still giving people the freedom and power to choose, she only asks for them to follow her. She doesn’t ask much out of anything, making her a fair and honest ruler.

ACCESSORIES — Kitana is usually seen wearing a mask in Kombat and two fake pearl earrings, white, and small around her earlobes. Her mask is very prominent in blue with black outlines. Classifying her status as royal, but still associating herself through Kombat. Through her fierce determination and vows towards her people, she is truly their hope. As a Royal she still upholds a promise of mannerism, she will still know. Like going back to the old house of your childhood — her mannerisms is something she can rely on for certain occasions. Helping keep the circumstance professional and logical.

The sun began to filter through the curtains of Shao Kahn's imposing and luxurious room. The roar of the Emperor of Outworld had died down overnight, and now he was resting peacefully next to his wife, Reader.

The sun's rays delicately caressed Reader's face, slowly waking her from her deep sleep. She gently opened her eyes to find the imposing profile of her husband next to her. A smile formed on her lips as she realized how lucky she was to have Shao Kahn by her side.

Without making too much noise, Reader sat up and propped himself up on one elbow, watching her husband as she slept. Her stern features were softened in that quiet moment. His trademark battle marks and armor had been left behind from the night before, and now only a strong and protective man remained.

With a soft caress to her cheek, Reader woke Shao Kahn from his deep sleep. As his eyes widened, his gaze met the radiant smile of his wife. An expression of devotion and love came over her face as he looked at her.

"How did you sleep, my love?" Reader asked, bringing her face closer to his.

Shao Kahn gracefully stretched out and replied in a deep voice, "Like a true emperor rest, by your side, my queen."

Reader chuckled softly before leaning into him to place a warm kiss on her lips. Her bodies got even closer, enveloping each other in gestures of love and affection. Shao Kahn wrapped his arm around Reader's waist and pulled her even closer to him.

At that moment, her intimacy was sacred and private, a space where the emperor could show his most vulnerable and loving side. Together, they entered a world of passion and connection, leaving behind any worries that might affect her kingdom.

Beyond the walls of his room, the world might be full of chaos and battle, but in that bed, Shao Kahn and Reader found peace and refuge. The union of their bodies was a synchronized dance of love and surrender, where their connection transcended differences of power and position.

After a while, exhausted but satisfied, Shao Kahn and Reader lay back together, joking and laughing like two complicit lovers. Their bodies melted into a warm, protective embrace, sealing their love and commitment to each other.

In that moment of intimacy and tranquility, Shao Kahn and Reader knew that it didn't matter what fate had in store for them. As long as they were together, they could face any challenge thrown their way, and their love would transcend the barriers of time and realm.

Thus, the emperor of Outworld and his loyal queen stayed in that embrace, enjoying every shared moment, knowing that the external battles could wait, because the true treasure was in their love and complicity together.

Shao Kahn wasn't one to decorate. The only reason the palace had any decorations was because of the previous rulers. He never touched their decorations. He left it the way that it was. It wasn't until you came into his life that things began to change. He didn't mind the change and gave you anything that you could possibly want.

“Shao, do you think we could decorate the castle?” You asked him one day as he studied the paperwork in front of him.

“Sure you can.”

You placed your hand on the papers, and he looked at you. He blinked. No one ever interrupted his business like that. If anyone did, they were killed. He wouldn't do that to you, but it must be serious that you interrupted him like that.

“You can do anything you would like, love. You know where my money is.”

“No, I want you to decorate with me.”

He closed his eyes as he smiled. No one ever included him in things like this. He didn't know what to do or how to do it. He might mess up. He didn't want to do that.

“Please.”

He breathed in and took your hand.

“Okay, I will, but I don't know how.”

“That's okay; I'll tell you what to do.”

He nodded, and you left.

You gathered up your supplies and waited for him when he wasn't busy. It wasn't long, and he looked down at you.

“So we put the tree up there.” You said as you pointed to the empty spot in the room.

“What tree?”

“This.” You said as you gestured to the tree in the box. You took the pieces out and handed them to him.

He studied the parts.

“This isn't a tree, though.”

“Not yet, we have to put it together.”

He helped you put the tree together and fluff it up. You handed him some decorations, and he hung them up on the tree. He was only putting it on the top of the tree, as he didn't want to bother going for the lower branches. You had no issues covering the bottom half of the tree.

“Now we put the star on top. We can do it together, or you can…”

You didn't get to finish as he picked you up with one hand, the other hand, holding onto the star so that you guys could do it together.

He set you back down and looked to you for direction.

“We can hang this tinsel around the doorways.”

“Do you want to do it, or do you want me to...”

Of course, you could both do it together.

You looked at the doorway. There wasn't any way that you were going to reach them. Not without any help.

“You can.” You said as you handed him the tinsel. He placed it on the corners of the doorframe. Together, you both wandered the castle. You would hand him the tinsel, and he would hang them up.

You smiled at him as you both made your way through the castle, taking a look at your decorations.

“It looks beautiful.”

“Yes, it does.” He replied.

Shang is that kid who would definitely take apart and put his toys back together. Taking part and putting it back together is cute for stuffed animals. It's less cute when he's trying to dissect the neighborhood cat to see if 'stuffing' will come out when he cuts the cat open.

It seems we need to agree to disagree on that one too, as I don’t think Shang Tsung in any timelines was that kind of child that hurt/killed animals out of curiosity and fun. My personal feeling is that Shang Tsung was corrupted by the magic he sought and the corruption was a slow process, one step after another until he was too set up in the dark ways to care anymore. Take the MK1!Shang Tsung - whatever the life he had was crafted by Liu Kang or was a result of his own choices, he didn’t seem to be mentally okay. He called his life “barely surviving” and yet, even then he did not deliberately poison people as his “elixir” was made of just tea. Sure, maybe this is solely him trying to avoid troubles (which didn’t work) but 

he was selling his stuff also to farmers, presumably living far away from bigger settlements

if he poisoned them, he could rob their house and get away before neighbors would notice

but all he was doing was cheating and taking advantage of the situation, yet did not deliberately physically try to harm anyone, be it out of spite, curiosity or amusement and we did not see him doing anything of this before Damashi came into picture and taught him magic. Once Damashi gave him power, Shang Tsung became a much more nasty bastard and mind you, we have no idea how long he was under his Titan’s influences. It could be a decade or a thousand years of slow corruption, false promises and fueling the man’s cruelty until Shang Tsung lost the last bits of empathy and sense of a line he shouldn't cross. He could be a weird kid, too curious for his own sake but I don’t think he was a little psychopath.

Similarly, I like to think that Earthrealmer Shang Tsung was slowly deprived of his humanity under Shao Kahn’s tutelage and not that there was something deeply wrong with him as a kid (and also, I feel like human Shang Tsung born 1 000+ years ago wouldn’t have stuffed toys to part and put it back together. I’m not even sure if he had that much time to be just a kid, but that of course would depend where and in how rich/poor family he was born to begin with).

Unless we are talking about an already dead cat and him being curious about what is inside of body, then maybe I could see it, depending on the circumstances of that scenario.

if we are going the route of Sareena’s memories about the Lin Kuei being wiped off by Quan Chi, I have this scenario where Bi Han shows up at the Wu Shi Academy in demand of Sareena and Bingxin. the two have been kept indoors, far from Bi Han’s sight under Lord Liu Kang’s orders but Sareena can see him arguing with the god and Ashrah from the windows.

she has no idea who he is yet she has this gut feeling that there is something (more like someone and some memories, lol) tying the both of them together. every time she asks Ashrah or Liu Kang, she meets a dead end. it doesn’t help that her memories are full of gaps that she cannot fill in.

Yes also I like the idea of Shang Tsung or Shao Kahn telling Bi Han. Also, Bi Han wants to kill Quan Chi for keeping Sareena and his son hostage without him knowing.

I’m iffy on the idea of Sareena losing her memories, it could work though. She loses trust in Ashrah and Liu Kang when she remembers Bi Han

But then again Bi Han allied himself with her abuser, Quan Chi. Even if he didn’t know that Quan Chi had her and they had a son, I can still see her being distrustful.

My poor baby she can’t fully trust anyone 😭💔

At the end of the day, she’ll pick what’s best for her baby Bing Xin. All she needs is him.

(who is the real Murderer of King Jerrod)

So I remembered the intros between Rain and Shao Kahn. And also between D’vorah and Kitana. Both Shao Kahn and D’vorah claimed that they killed king Jerrod (Kitana’s Father). But Hey! isn’t Sindel herself who killed her husband for Shao Kahn? She even said so and shown in her arcade ending!

So what exactly is going on? The writers forgot that Sindel killed Jerrod. Or they only added this out of a sudden to make a plot twist? This is not a plot twist and plot twists don’t work that way 🤦🏻‍♀️

To the theories now!

Theory 1: Sindel is the real killer of King Jerrod and I suspect no one else but her, Why? Because it seems that the retconned Sindel (Twindel) hates weakness let alone her husband's weakness and incapability to protect her and Edenia. To me, this is a very convincing reason to kill him and get rid of him and throw herself into Shao Kahn's lap. I wouldn’t say theory because I think this is what happened. Sindel is a murderer and she killed her husband. And why would she lie about the murder of her husband? Wasn’t she there in his final breath or did she just lie to never lose Kitana's love and the Edenians love as well?

theory 2: (Jerrod survived Sindel's stabbing him) So I played in my mind another scenario of what could’ve happened. Let's say that King Jerrod survived Sindel's betrayal. She stabbed him and left him to die in a pool of his blood. After she and Shao Kahn left to discuss their “Bond” he saw the chance and ran despite his wounds and loss of blood. He is a magic user (as shown in malibu comics) so I guess he can heal himself but D’vorah saw him and finished him? Maybe. since D’vorah claimed that she killed him. Yeah, this theory is not likely to happen ever.

Theory 3: (he survived but he got killed by Shao Kahn) same as the second theory but the murderer is Shao Kahn himself. So let's just say that king Jerrod manages to escape despite his wounds, But eventually, Shao Kahn caught him and finished him.

Yeah… the second theory and third theory is a weak theory. Never likely to happen. I strongly believe that the real murderer is Sindel herself. She is not afraid to betray but she is afraid of losing Kitana (she did already).
