And void consumes soul, right? As seen in the sharpshadow room.

It's been theorized that the reason the collector is... like that, is because it "became one" with the keeper of the tower of love, and now it has his personality.

So... what if the reason the collector exists is to show us the way void is imprinted upon? It consumes soul and becomes one with that which it consumed. It takes the personality and thoughts.

Like, perhaps the bug that kept the Tower of Love was known as the collector. The void being was a kingsmould assigned to help them. But the kingsmould consumed the soul of the collector, and now they are one. The collector IS that void being now, and vice versa.

This is why void can be imprinted upon. Without soul, the void is a writhing mindless sea of darkness, but when it consumes soul, it becomes one with it. A union.

The abyss consumed the souls of the vessels, and became one with them. This is why the vessels are not blank slates. The lifeforce of that which was going to be still exists within, now as void.

The minute Luthier stepped off the boat, he knew that he was home. Well, he was on a boat sailing back towards Valentia, so logically, he would be coming home anyways, but there was something… different about the air here that the other places he visited didn’t have.

A cat brushed against his leg, and he chucked softly. “Hello, my sweet. How do you do?”

He knelt down to stroke its soft and fluffy fur. The cat, naturally, did not respond with anything other than butting its head against his palm and walking around him in a circle. He smiles again and straightens up, stepping around the cat (which seemed determined to trip him) and moving forward into the little port town. He couldn’t get to his home in one night, so he might as well stay the night and get going bright and early tomorrow.

Pure Vessel Tutorial!

Ok for this fight I pretty much never leave the ground

Sharpshadow is your friend

Important note: sharpshadow dash takes you further than a regular dash

1. Now for the good part. For every lunge, you’re going to wait until the very moment before they strike to dash through. Counteract every move and you’ll get into a steady rhythm

Keep an eye on your shade at all times so you know when it’s safe to dash through

Also try to stay in the middle so you can see every attack

Don’t attack while they’re shielding, this is a death sentence. If you do, quickly step back the tiniest bit then dash into them like usual

2. Memorize the visual cue right before they do the mini nail spiral attack. You’ll want to dash towards them right before

This is kinda hard to explain so here’s a video in horrible quality

Be careful with this part though because it’s easy to dash right into them

3. Go to this spot right at the edge of the dome, It’s less likely for the smaller circles to form there and you can heal

Don’t think about it too hard and don’t hesitate! And most importantly… don’t give up!

Melior was quiet as ever.

Ever was relative, of course. It only accounted for the last six or so weeks since the Winter Solstice. There was snow as far as Geoffrey could see, affixed as if permanent to every roof and spire, to the top of the lamp posts and all the signs in the market square. 

He didn’t usually traipse this far, but Amy had cried herself to sleep but an hour ago. She wouldn’t wake until morning, if the last few weeks were any indication.

Geoffrey’s breath clouded in the air as he sighed. Dovetail made a similar noise as she skirted the stone statues of a pair of children crossing the street. Geoffrey didn’t blame her, and carded a gentle hand through her unbound mane. 

It was a disconcerting sight for man or beast.

//Come modern AU, I’d think he would keep lizards or snakes at some point, but that’s probably as exotic as he’d get. He’s a dreamer, though, and he’ll often daydream about getting an exotic pet.

He will not get tarantulas, however. Too many legs, and too many eyes, and he shudders just thinking about it.
