so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

Fanfic prompt : I love it when Tetra and wind have this ridiculously big age gap because the triforce of wisdom and courage are usually around the same age

But wind made himself a hero and therefore the age is off

Because imagine her point of view

You are an actual criminal with a height bounty and every sailor has heard of you at some point

You are tracking down a bird who steals girls

It grabs you and then you fall down and another girl gets taken

And a small essentially toddler begs you to take him to get his sister back

He defeats you with the most powerful sad puppy dog eyes ever (the only reason why tetra even had to agree would definitely be because of kids being kids like have you seen what she and her crew did with Aryll she was pretty much a family member the second they got her)

And you drag him with you and then proceed to lose him immediately after the heist

Then find him again and then get locked up in a weird castle while the kid does whatever

Get kidnapped

Beat up an old man watch an ancient civilization collapse

and then get saved by that small creature

He definitely ends up her son after this adventure considering that he gets to be a crew mate

Tetra deserves to be a mom for once (a cool mom who lets her kid blow stuff up)

Like the entire crew adopted Aryll and they only had a few days together

She got to do whatever she wants with no consequences

Wind spent even more time with her

You are telling me that he wouldn’t be the son of the entire crew and get to do whatever he wants to

Like tetra would probably jokingly promote him to co captain the second she can

And then make him the actual captain after phantom hourglass because that kid is the only reason she is still alive

She owns him that one

If the chain dares to try to command her little captain they will get thrown overboard very quickly

That is a personal insult to the crew

Which is how wind gets to be fully accepted as a very important and useful member because he got raised to be a total gremlin and if anyone tries to tell him that he can’t fight because he is too young he will do what tetra taught him and evaporate their kneecaps with the skull hammer

Warriors quickly learned not to doubt him

And he also steals wallets whenever possible

Even legend somehow lost his despite using any and all protection possible

💋 First kiss fics. Love em or hate em?

A fact about me, which may seem counterintuitive given my posting, is that... I'm actually not that much into shipping. I appreciate it, when done well, but it's not really the romance per se that draws me to things or drives my interactions with a piece of media. I don't really love OR hate first kiss fics; I suppose I would put them in the same category I put whump: if it's well done, and has some kind of plot or deeper introspection or something around it, something that helps the characters develop in some way, that's great! But just for its own sake? Meh.

🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?

It's cliche, but feedback, especially comments. One of the best I ever got was on the first fic I posted, where I'd put a stereotypical "I'm not a writer, please be nice" sort of nonsense at the top. I got a comment from a complete stranger that started with, "okay, 'not a writer,'" and rode those four words straight into the next two stories I wrote. If I've made someone feel something enough that they've taken the time to say so, that's pure gold, and a definite win.

🥰 How do you feel about reader interaction? Are you open to receiving questions about your fics?

I LOVE questions about them!! I love chatting about my shows in general, but tbh writing meta sometimes hurts my brain. My fics are almost all canon-compliant and usually express a headcanon or an interpretation of canon events. Sometimes I'm demonstrating why some part of canon that folks seem to hate or think makes no sense actually makes perfect sense to me. It's always so fun to chat about blorbos, I guess I'm just better at showing my thoughts on some things through fic than I am at explaining. :D

Set in the reduxes, a scene I drafted ages ago for Scully and Bill Junior. I was delighted to later discover it has a lot in common with the deleted scene from I think it was memento mori? (also delighted that the deleted scene can't be considered canon, because what did air has him not aware of her cancer until much later, so my version could still stand :D I'll post it someday, probably)

i think what hits most about nobara's backstory is everything that's left unsaid and peaks from between the lines. it's the fact you can easily infer that something was wrong without ever having clear answers on what exactly was wrong. but if you can relate to the feeling of wanting to escape a place and the alienation from everyone around you, especially when you're brought up in small communities, then you can certainly understand, if not fully then partially, nobara herself and the struggles she might have had to face all by herself for a very long time; maybe even the importance fumi and saori had in her life and the pain from having to part from them; and, perhaps the selectiveness in letting people in that she later on develops as well.

tee hee i love hinting at my polyam relationship over on tiktok bc it confuses the fuck out of people

so many are like “you’re dating this dude right bc you kiss him for videos?” and it’s like no actually i’m engaged to this other person i don’t usually make videos with but they are happily dating that first dude but also my fiancé and i do have our canadian boyfriend we share and adore and cherish and he lives with his own partner up there who is just the biggest ball of sunshine

like my fiancé was at work the other day and his coworker said his wife referred to my fiancé, me and the first dude as a throuple and my fiancé was like “actually there is a throuple occurring but it’s between Me, our canadian boyfriend and Curse. Not the first dude, that guy is only my (the fiancé’s) boyfriend but there’s technically five of us in this polycule we’ve got going here” and they were so shocked!! (i’ve never been sure if metamours count towards the total number of people in the polycule but i count it bc they’re also people that i love even if it’s just platonic i still think it should count towards the total number of people involved in the whole polycule)

And I would also like to stress that while there are sexual aspects to this polycule between other members of it, I am grey-asexual so I very rarely take part in sexual activities. I am a part of this polycule because I’ve met all of these fantastic people and I can no longer imagine a world where I don’t keep special spaces in my heart for each of them. Even the platonic ones have room there because they make someone I love happy and that makes me happy. I’ve been a huge fan of love for so long and it brings me so much joy to have so many people in my life who love me the same way I love them<3

Ok I know in the ACOTAR side of the internet there’s argument over whether Azriel will be with Elain or Gwyn but hear me out

He’s been alive for centuries and the two women he has had noted romantic feelings for are Morrigan, who centuries before made clear she wasn’t interested and who we know is into women and has held feelings for another woman for years, and Elain, who moments after coming into existence had someone else declare “You’re my mate”

Meaning in all that time the two women he’s been outwardly interested in are women that, it would be assumed, he has no chance with and therefore no pressure to ever act on his feelings and can just nobly brood from afar without actually being with them in anything but a platonic relationship and he always has a perfectly logical reason for not pursuing them romantically

Plus, he grew up in a very hypermasculine society with strict gender roles

I’m just saying there’s Ezriel and Gwynriel but I feel like Gayriel could be a dark horse here
