#dungeon meshi #izutsumi #marcille donato #chilchuk tims #I still stand by my tags on the Izutsumi character study piece I did in January - but I will repeat myself on a few lines here:#I *really* love this character. I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. truly i think amy manages to stomach thirties new york for like three months before she goes of the deep end in ways she never has before. because it used to be that going of the deep end for her just meant getting married to rory or killing herself or murdering someone that one time and now she cant do any of that and the first two are the whole reason shes in thirties new york anyway. so now shes gotta like become an alcoholic and a deadbeat wife and mother. she only speaks to her husband and daughter just like she did when she was seven and even then its only ever an argument. and i bet she's living in a tiny shitty apartments and terrorising the neighbours. and through all of this shes writing bestselling childrens books and that seems whimsical and heartwarming but theyre just monuments to the last time she actually enjoyed herself and theyre full of thinly veiled barbs at aforementioned husband and daughter.

#she is NEVER moving on. not in a world where the only familiar faces are her childhood friends (see: husband and daughter)#and her job is to retell all of her childhood stories #middle aged burn out still stuck being little amelia i bet she goes mental i bet she hits someone with her car or sets a house on fire #and i know deep in my heart that amy and river never get on post-tatm like #repeated arguments about how river comes and goes as she pleases but amy is stuck here #and what is the point of having a time traveller for a daughter if she cant get her out of here (her house with her husband and child)

hm..... pomni taking peoples hand as a repeating image in the show..... happens in ep 1, with ragatha, its kinda evoked with her reaching for the final exit door, ep 2 is pretty blatant with it i dont need to say anything else on that, and in episode 3 the scene with kinger..... episode 4 doesnt have anything with this i dont think (i COULD technically say her raising her hand at the beginning of the ep but that is a MASSIVE stretch and doesnt fit with what the other instances seem to be representing. her waving at gummigoo MAYBE but the image just really isnt present in the episode, looking at it realistically) but im thinking about this...... cus i feel like its probably notable in the dream sequence in ep 2 that its her arm that gets all fucked up

you are sooo rightttt arghrgrhhh ja’marr is so!!! health conscious!!! talked about it a bit here on how ja'marr takes note of people's health and injuries so seriously and pushes them to get healthy over playing through their injuries :(((

he cares soooo deeply for people he keeps close and tee had all those deep tissue injuries that kept him back from playing with ja’marr :(( he’s gotta be vibrating with the need to mother hen the ever living shit out of tee and mentions his usual clinic but like forcefully because he can’t be casual about it and tee's like ok sure and ja’marr drags him to her like a pup trying to keep their favorite toy safe asking their owner to stitch up their ripped stuffing 💔💔💔

like imagining ja'marr being all fussy and pushy about tee going to her, who he knows and trusts and has seen actual results from in himself so he feels comfortable and confident in actually getting tee to do a session with her, and tee being exasperated at this loud little shit who would not shut up about him getting better so he goes partly because he trusts ja'marr and that he has his best interest at heart and he knows that the rehab session would be good for him but also in other part just to shut and soothe ja'marr up lmao.

heres one of their sessions that's like my favorite because wow ja'marr really answered the door like that huh. like loooook at him arhrghrgrrhhrh..........legs swinging listening to her in the beginning </3 and then fighting with her on whose nails are longer boy enough 😭 (insane ass size difference btw begging you all to pause at 1:19)

AND WOW OKAY SO i assumed this before but like wasn't 100% sure but -> pretty sure this is a home visit right and that background's literally where tee did his session SO. what I'm saying is. tee did his session at ja'marr's place. at the same day probably so when one was being metaphorically smushed to pieces and stabbed with tiny little needles the other was sitting on the couch next to them probably yapping endlessly trying to make them laugh and getting yelled at by dr. ashley to keep their mouth shut.

just. ja'marr had added tee to his usual sessions </3 probably already had a usual date and time set up for himself for his weekly (?) resets and asked if she could add tee to her schedule so he can do his own rehab session and that kind of fucks me up deep inside because what do you mean he made tee do his usual rehab with him so tee would be healthier....what do you mean..........what do you meannnnnnn

'a dream where they are "walking seperate paths"' seems to imply that they are all witnessing the same dream from their own perspectives, however it's also very vague so the moment they're walking seperate paths could be anywhere between vbs just never forming to the group actually disbanding after what happened with taiga to them focusing solely on rad blast and having nowhere to go after that so. yeah that's it. however I really doubt it's that last one and I can't see vbs just quitting at a point like lutf (those kids are STUBBORN and also want to support their friend) so I guess we're going with no vbs ever land. which should be fun. (lying I am shaking)
