As utterly stupid as the whole scene was, I do wish that Loki went to Blonsky’s spiritual retreat instead of the TVA because that was much closer to actual therapy than whatever tf Mobius was doing

Can Jen have a break?
- Episode 7 is exactly what I was afraid will happen. Finally, something nice happened in Jen's life... and suddenly it is taken away. She cannot have even one good experience. I WAS AFRAID since last episode that JOSH IS NICE, BUT THAT HE IS ALSO BAD. And goddammit, HE IS, ISN'T HE?! THEY USED HIM TO STEAL HER DNA, NO!? CANNOT JEN HAVE EVEN ONE FUCKING NICE THING IN THIS LIFE?! LIKE SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?
- Blonsky has pet chickens. Good to know, I guess. Chickens are cute animals. As long as they forget their closest genetic relative is T-Rex.
- "You never heard of Spain?". A lot of Americans did not in fact, lol.
- "Would they like me if I didn't have all of this?". This insecurity is actually the only good thing in this episode. It is a good story to tell about the dissonance between being seen only when you are someone else, while you literally can TURN into someone else. It kinda reminds me about masking a bit, in autistic context. Because we can TURN into someone else by putting on the mask for the society, but it will never be US, the TRUE US. Though in Jen's case, people do not perceive her still as Jen even when she turns She-Hulk. Autistic person cannot say the same thing, because we are always perceived as lesser even with a mask, even if nobody knows who we are, so it is not like 1:1 comparison, but some elements, yeah, it strikes a cord. And this is a very good point to actually make here.
- Therapy session felt good after everything they threw at Jen this whole season. She deserved something nice to finally happen to her.
- I FUCKING KNEW IT! (Also, notice that they used non-white guy to specifically code a villain, like seriously, would it kill them to pick some Aryan ideal to show a bad guy for once? Would it kill them if the suspiciously nice Asian man who was interested in Jen was actually interested in Jen and not secretly after her blood to destroy She-Hulk and kill her?) Wouldn't it be nice if they got the blood in a different way? Make some plot twist and instead of use all the foundation for weakness with her literally using her dating profile in a lawsuit case to get She-Hulk as her name, so villains knew how to get to her, just did a plot twist and got it in a completely different way and let Jen have at least one goddammit nice thing in life? Like a nice boyfriend?
I am happy that we got She-Hulk show, don’t take me wrong. But watching her being beaten at every turn by life itself kinda hurts. I know this is like self-deprecating kind of humor on Jen’s part, to make fun of herself all the time and the show aligns with this, but goddammit I really want Jen to have nice things. Even if she is not the Jen I expected to get, I want Jen to have a nice life! They don’t really have to batter her with a baseball to make the show funny. Do they know that jokes NOT at the expense of someone exist? Because it seems like the only humor they know! Geez! Give her a break!

She-Hulk S1E7
God damn it. I know people called it last week but I held hope Josh was legit until the initial 'super happy relationship' montage which just guaranteed it was going to turn out tragically one way or the other.
The whole 'stop using She-Hulk as a shield' bit was undermined by the fact she was Jen up until a guy who literally attacked her showed up. Being defensive about that is pretty rational.
I was surprised she didn't grill Wrecker about who send him and the crew but then did she actually clue to the 'trying to get her blood' thing at the time? IF Wrecker's reformed he could have clued her in.
Just structurally it sadly seems much more likely for Blonksy to be HulkKing than Leader appearing with no other foreshadowing in the show.
Also still no Matt but it must be next episode right? They can't give him a big role in the finale. Unless he’s only get a cameo in a stinger or something.

She-Hulk Episode 7
The writer of this episode is different from the others, Zeb Wells, this is the only episode he's worked on and you can tell. That's actually a good thing though because the style shows through. (The director has a few eps under her belt). But because of that, it seems a bit disconnected from the rest. She-Hulk will straight up say the things that I've been pointing out as undertones. The only things that connect it are the characters which makes me believe they either didn't tell him what the other episodes were going to be or at least gave loose guidelines then maybe inserted connections where needed.
This would even work good as an anger management episode but I feel like she hasn't had anger issues and they even mention that in the very first episode. Maybe they had that storyline then changed it last minute (wouldn't be surprised) but kept the feint plot lines active.
I mean, I didn't care for another Abomination episode, I was all for to just keep chugging but this was a good episode and that's weird to say because I don't think I've outright said that any episode was "good". I mean the direction was good, the style was good, the story was good. (But they have quite a "millennial" point of view where she's attached to her phone, which I can't help but feel is a jab.)
I'm at the point now where there's no real redemption, we're already almost done so no matter what these final few do, as an overall product, it's pretty shoddy. Maybe that's it, maybe it's the way they told these writers/directors to handle it, giving them too much or too little to go off of. It feels like it can't decide what it wants to be at times.

She-Hulk: Attorny at Law 1x07
I didn’t knew Zeb Wells would be writing an episode of the show, but it is striking how an actual Marvel Comic Writer is the one making the episode of the show that is all about what She-Hulk is actually about as a character and what makes her the actual opposit of Hulk. I mean, it is kind of sad it needs to be spelled out, but I am glad it was spelled out in a great way.
Best episode of the show.
And don’t listen to the people calling it a filler episode because ... no, a filler episode is an episode you can miss, because it does not contribute anything to the main plot. This was the most important episode for the main plot since the Wrecking Crew attacked Jen. These MCU-Shows are not “Supernatural”, there are no filler episodes!

Also we're just gonna confirm the Accords, a central plot point of CACW that partially responsible for quite literally tearing the Avengers apart, were repealed via one (1) throwaway line? Like? I'm not shocked they haven't mattered in any meaningful way since Infinity War/Black Widow depending on if you go in release order or timeline order and like we all kinda knew since Endgame but like it just seemed a lil lazy on Marvel's part
I'm NOT blaming the She-Hulk writers!! I want to make that abundantly clear!! It was probably something they were told to sprinkle in and they did the best they could!! But it just felt weird!!

bonus:
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Three gifs of Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, episode 7. Jennifer, in her She-Hulk form, quickly approaches Matt doubled over on the pavement, clutching his head. Towering over him, she picks him up by the shoulder of his Daredevil suit and pulls off his mask. Matt raises his hands in defeat and smiles sheepishly when his face is revealed.
Below the gifs there is a bonus image of a tumblr text post that reads: "oh also side note: WE ACTUALLY GOT TO WATCH JEN PICK MATT UP??? LIKE A LITTLE MISBEHAVING KITTEN????????? I AM CRYING HOW IS THIS REAL."
The caption in small text reads: SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW | 1.07 “Ribbit and Rip It” with the series name in bold yellow orange text. End ID.]
