#her name at the shelter was pog btw. like the game but now her full name is cricket pogchamp #cat #cricket #pets #artists on tumblr #drew some blue in her eyes. bad at picking colors from irl that much but shes got a very small blue ring in there still #though shes close to having her regular eyes. i think they will be yellow?#i love her but whew cant wait til shes big......... will probably update what she looks like #tried to make her look deliberately worried with her whiskers btw. she seems sad but she was abnormally snuggly on day 1 #she cried in the carrier and hid under my drawer for like 5 minutes then instantly got to exploring and 1 hour in she showed her belly #which. im a first time cat owner but im told thats absolutely insane for a kitten on day 1 #shes already sleeping on me and stuff and snuggling next to me.... playing w her is the hard part bc lack of energy #idk if itll ever be enough for her but i am trying! i want her to be happy. also i think rn she mostly likes me when im sitting #otherwise she darts away when i walk around. i think bc im like this weird giant to her #oh also shes apparently just tiny? bc her mom was small too so she'll probably grow up to be a small cat #everyones going on abt how my aunts cats were bigger at her age sdklfjsdlfds (8 weeks almost 9!)

i can't get clear pictures of victoria w her eyes open bc she has two modes KILLING AND VIOLENCE and snooooork mimimimi

#she's a sweet cat she's just a homicidal maniac #rn she is huddled next to me on the bed facing the doorway to be ready for all possible threats #but when she conks out she gives zero fucks abt anything #she'll snuggle up on me or next to me and it's lights out #apparently she only recently became adoptable according to the woman i got her from #like she just decided one day that she liked people after all #i miss lily every single day but i'm also happy we happened to be in the right place + time to take victoria #she was so sick and scared and hid in the corner of my closet when we brought her home #but the first night she came up on the bed and laid a careful distance away from me...#and once she had her bad teeth removed and the ear mites exterminated she was like a brand new kitty cat #there was no adoption fee bc it wasn't an official adoption but i think her previous owner knew she needed care that she couldn't afford #i felt really guilty abt the vet bills for a cat i picked out but my dad adores her and tells me all the time he's happy we took her home #i just wish i could get better pics bc she's so cute!!! lily would pose for me all the time but victoria wants to eat my phone fkjhgfdjh

the thing about cayenne is that shes Tiny. she has the same proportions as oregano (short lil legs, stout) but slightly less wide but is like a scaled down version of him. like she is 75% his size. which is So funny when they are side by side and So cute bc shes just a little baby

anyway she let me give her a belly rub and purred and purred and also let me hold her and purred and purred she is doing so so so good!!! she spooks easy when i move but if i am sitting on the floor she wants All of the love

#i had to have my childhood cat put to sleep today #she was the runt of her litter and we didn’t expect her her survive long as a newborn but she outlived her parents and her entire litter #I’ve known her and she’s been here since I was 5. I am now 26 #she watched me and my sister grow up and took care of us in a very unstable and traumatic environment #there was a time when I was a kid when we got hit by a huge snow storm and the electricity went off in the state for almost a week #my sister and I would sleep in the same bed to stay warm and this little one would come snuggle with us to keep us warm #she really took care of us #always knew when we were sad #knew how to cheer us up #i hope she knew how much I loved her #i wish i could see her again some day #maybe in my dreams #diary #I never posted pics of her in recent years because she looked a little rough from age and chronic illness and I don’t want to have many pics #of her in that state #this pic is from 2017 when her health was better #my head and nose and eyes hurt so bad from crying #animals are the most extraordinary and wonderful friends and i will die on this hill

Our days together are running down quickly. Today, this silly little monster fully lost her eyesight. I've had blind cats before, so that's not an issue for me; I know what to do to help them and keep them running around the house safely. This does mean that her health issues are getting worse and a decision will likely have to be made soon (unless she rebounds again because she's prone to doing that which makes me happy). She's been a demon and a monster and a brat and my little snuggle buddy for almost 14 years. We're together until the end, no matter how long or short that shall be.
