Erased AU fanart (AU by @llumimoon and based on scene from @kaseyskat 's fic and the art in the main post)
For Halloween week day 6 prompt ghosts (in a figurative way)
[ID: A sketch drawing of Sparrow making a wall of portraits of an unknown person with the question who are you above her. None of the portraits are quite right and one shows the person turning into a colorful mist as she saw in a strange dream. Art tools and scrapped paper lay in a mess around the art studio with paint splashes and wilted flowers included. Flowers sprout from her hair. While Sparrow is colored in dark greys, the paint on her dress, the portraits themselves, and Lark watching her in the foreground are all in lively color. Lark has a thought bubble that says how long has she been here as he looks at her worriedly. Both twins are facing away from the viewer. There's dark grey surrounding the artist and her pile of art work. End ID]

𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕤' ℝ𝕠𝕠𝕞 - 𝟞:𝟚𝟘 ℙ𝕄 ⋆⁺𖤓₊⋆
[Marigold's phone begins to ring again, the third time in the past twenty minutes. A yawn escapes her, old floorboards creaking as she walks through the shoddy curtain into her bedroom.]
Marigold: Yes, Mama -- You know, it's been almost three months now...I think I can remember to buy my own groceries.
[She laughs, pacing around her room as her mother's lovely voice fills her with a certain homesickness. Not that Marigold will let her know that, it would only make her worry more.]
Marigold: Nine more months, and I'm home...if they don't end up hiring me!
[Marigold's heart melts as her mother reassures her, pressing a few kisses through the phone.]
Marigold: I love you always...I'll be sure to facetime you and Papa tomorrow morning.
[Mattress springs squeak as she flops down onto her bed. She can't shake the melancholy, despite living her dream. To describe her life in the city thus far, the two words tied are fulfilling, and lonesome.]
[But Marigold isn't the type to wallow. She was raised with optimism, and her heart blazes with passion. She turns, cheek squishing in her palm as a sweet breeze passes through the flowers outside her window.]
Marigold: What do you say, Teddy? Do you think we can do this for nine more months?
[She doesn’t expect a response, but she giggles to herself regardless.]
Marigold: Yeah, it'll be a piece of cake!

I have to talk about M'gann in the YJ cartoon
Honestly, I didn't like her at first. She was just the stereotypical “nice girl” that almost every TV show has, and the way she didn't know how to respect and set up boundaries bothered me a bit (her talking to Conner in his mind without telling him first, resulting in him panicking)
She just seemed so... bland. And the fact that her human form was white too was also pretty problematic
But then I got to her arc. M'gann is a child that has dealt with racism for her entire life. She copied her entire identity from a girl from a TV show she liked because she hated who she was, and others hated her too
She tried so hard to trick people into believing that she was Megan, a nice girl everyone likes, that she started to believe it herself. She convinced herself she was another person and literally lost sense of who she actually was
I love how she's clearly not exactly a good person. She has brainwashed people and broken their minds out of anger and fear. She's messy in a way girls usually aren't allowed to be in this type of cartoon, and she doesn't get away with it just because she's pretty either. She makes mistakes, suffers from the consequences and gets better. That's the most important part of her character
She was convinced that she was doing good when she used other people's minds. Everyone praised her for it. The only one who seemed to have an actual problem with it was Conner, and not even he was able to make her realize that what she was doing is wrong. It was only when she broke Kaldur's mind and immediately found out about him being undercover that she realized how fucked up what she was doing was
M'gann suffers because of the consequences of her actions. She's both a very likeable and unlikeable character, both at the same time. I can understand why people dislike her, and I can also understand why people love her
I also love how she went from pretending to be a nice, cute, innocent girl to it being obvious that she's not an entirely good person. She's a morally gray character, a child soldier that was conditioned into believing that the mission came before anything, a person that has dealt with racism and some extreme fear of rejection for her entire life
She fucks up, and she pays for it. That's something we almost never see in female characters

Seeing the Dannypocalypse reminds me how old classic nicktoons are and how young me and my sister really are.
So if I get this correctly Danny Phantom premeired on Nickelodeon on April 3rd 2004.
Well, I have a sister, she was born on the ides of March 2004.
She is older than the cartoon by 2 weeks, and that’s wild seeing how popular a cartoon is to this day that when it made its debut when my sister was just opening her eyes for the first time.
