This was for the "favorite Pokemon of every type" thing that was circulating on twitter a while ago. But, being the glutton for punishment that I am, instead of just putting the Pokemon's official art in each slot, I drew all of mine. Drawing Pokemon is my therapy and that's why I do it a lot. I'd consider myself a Poke-artist at this point.
Cutiefly and Scolipede are shiny because I owned those at the time and they are my children and I love them and I'm proud parent.
here are some of the highlights, the ones that I liked the most:

🌊Updating my weekly tasks, and giving a toast to the fish I love most. Dr Barry, MD. (the beta fish) is very healthy and growing. I am also gaining my strength back after getting the “spicy cough” a couple months ago. Long term symptoms are no joke. Greatful for healing.
🐠Do you have a favorite water dwelling creature?

Have you done shellos/gastradon? They are my faves and I'm curious how they look peeled
so.. @stgroversfire wanted this too-
sometimes i forget how incredibly racist they are towards each other when they're really just pink and blue blobs.

I saw a pink Shellos and I got so excited because I thought it was a shiny and then I caught it and found another one and apparently it's not shiny. I am so confused. I thought Shellos was supposed to be blue?
LMAO you got owned. do you happen to be on vacation on a new coast?? shellos vary by color regionally. i think it's something about the bacteria that they eat. i hear in australia their colors get weirddd

I made a little chart for fun! This organizes Pokémon that are Water-type, at least semi-aquatic, or both into freshwater/saltwater/neither habitats! Evolutions are included with their pre-evolved forms.
Making this was fun and I hope all my reasoning makes sense!
Some additional explanation below the Read More
There are a few instances of some Pokémon being clearly intended to be one or the other, but in one spot in one game once they were in the other habitat. I included these with the habitat they’re in the overwhelming majority of the time. These cases include Squirtle, Wooper, Totodile, Barboach, Lapras, Wingull, Wailmer, the blue Shellos, Remoraid, and Alomomola.
In addition, the river flowing from the Valley Windworks through Route 205 and out through the Fuego Ironworks in Sinnoh has saltwater encounters for some reason? Tentacool, Wingull, Shellder, Shellos, and Finneon are all there. Similarly, Unova Route 1 has freshwater encounters despite being the ocean. I wrote both of these instances off as mistakes (although perhaps the Sinnoh one is simply an inlet and not a river?)
Froakie’s and Popplio’s canon habitats are unconfirmed. I looked and could not find a source for either- I just guessed based on their irl counterparts.
There’s also the case of the Wild Area and Grand Underground. I disregarded both of these (except in the case of Dreepy and G-Corsola, exclusive to the Wild Area), as they seemingly do not care about logical habitats.
Lastly, I also ignored the Crown Tundra for the fossils (particularly Lake Ballimere and Giant’s Foot), as it is not only not their original habitat but the waters seemingly do not match the modern ocean, but are possibly salty nevertheless.
