Every time a post from this blog has shown up in the last few weeks ive had to choke back tears. I've never been affected by a celebrity death before, much less like this, but seeing people reminiscing about Cameron and missing him, mourning him, it breaks me. I grew up watching him on Disney and it hurts so /much/ knowing that hes really gone

That tribute had me so sick. It was beautiful and so magical, but, in the month since Cameron has died (and I can’t believe it’s been nearly a month), I have not cried harder for him than I did with that tribute.

I feel so sad. I’m so angry. I keep trying to rationalize it in my head and it’s just not happening.

Turbo and the Twins gotta be fast boys right? Fast boys in a zoo? Naturally, the answer to that is a trio of cheetahs! Only, one of the three is a bit of a special boy.

The Twins are your standard cheetahs, tall and lanky with skinny bellies. They hang out with each other all the time and visitors love taking pictures of them cuddling and playing.

Their little brother is a rare mutation -- a king cheetah, sporting three snazzy racing stripes down his back. 

He sure loves to act like he’s royalty, but he’s not as majestic as he could be. He’s a fair bit shorter than his brothers, has a bit of a belly comparatively, and never fully grew out of his pre-pubescent fluffy mohawk. The Twins make fun of him for it constantly, but he definitely draws crowds. He might not look like a king but he sure is fucking cute. He becomes a bit of an internet sensation for how unique-looking he is, and his huge personality. He’s very vocal and active and more than a little sassy with the zookeepers. Catch him getting into domestic disputes with his siblings. To the animals, he’s cussing them out. To visitors, they’re all running circles around each other while Turbo just straight up screams. Of course he’s a YouTube hit.

Mavis is drawn to his weird appearance, snarky personality and fast-paced playtimes. She likes to come bug him -- tug on his tail, stick her nose in his ears, boop his toe beans, brag about all the food and trinkets she stole that day. They quickly go viral: Stunted cheetah plays with raccoon. Who wouldn’t watch that?

I have more for the rest of the crew but I will have to discuss later :’D )

Prompt. The story of the time taako got engaged to the price of cycle 34?

Lup Voice: Well, once upon a time a long long time ago, there was a ho and his name was Taako. Taako the ho.

Taako voice: takes one to know one

They’d been introduced to the royalty of this plane almost immediately. Once their ship had landed they’d been escorted to meet His Royal Highness Marc Edgenburg III, the supreme ruler of the material plane. 

He’d been fascinated with them as soon as he learned of their extraplanar origins. He invited them to stay in the castle while they looked for the light of creation and even dispatched a portion of his men to help in the search. 

They all enjoyed the castle: Magnus sparred with the guards and was often found sleeping with the hunting dogs, Lucretia was soon put in charge of organizing the expansive library, and Merle took over the gardens. Barry tended to explore the town at the foot of the castle making friends with the commoners and sometimes Lup joined him when she wasn’t working with the royal magician to learn new kinds of magic. Davenport kept searching for the light of creation even after the king sent out all his men. 

But Taako? Taako had the best time of all.

The kitchens had welcome his help graciously, sure that he would bring them new recipes at the least. Then he whipped up a meal for the prince that had left the royal eyes full of stars.

From that moment on the prince trailed Taako wherever he went.

“You see, they’ve been using water but milk really improves the texture not to mention it gives it a fuller taste,” Taako said, stirring the pot with a wooden spoon.

“Wonderful, well you shall have it. Any ingredients you need you just let me know,” the prince said, a hand on Taako’s shoulder.

“Well we definitely need some mint, I think Merle was growing some out in the garden,” Taako mused. 

“I’ll pick it for you myself.” the prince smiled.

Taako didn’t seem to notice anything out of the ordinary with Marc’s behavior, though the staff was awestruck at the power this elf had over their liege lord.

Merle noticed Marc humming to himself happily as he gathered up the mint with all the experience you would expect a man with servants to have, and when he offered to help the prince asked him if he could find him a white rose. 

That night as Marc finished the meal Taako had made, he smiled and approached the elf, holding the flower in hand.

“For you, the radiant star from another world,” he said, kneeling by Taako’s chair and holding the flower out to him.

“Aren’t you a charmer?” Taako said, accepting the flower. 

“So is that a yes?” the prince asked.

“Pardon?” Taako smiled innocently. 

Lucretia was just starting with wide eyes. She quickly turned and whispered into Barry’s ear, and then his eyes grew wide. He whispered to Magnus who whispered to Merle who reached Lup in this game of telephone. Lup, with all the tact in the world shouted “WHAT?”

“What’s going on over there, chucklefucks?” Taako asked.

“Taako...er...a white rose...given is well...a proposal of marriage and by taking it in hand you have just accepted.”

“Oh.” Taako shrugged. “Guess I’m getting married then.”

“Wonderful!” Marc beamed, grabbing Taako and swinging him around, pressing a kiss to his lips. “You’ve made me the happiest man in any plane.”

When pressed about it later, Taako admitted it was probably a good idea to say yes since they were living in his house and they’d be leaving in a year anyway. Lup suspected it was more the fact that the prince got him anything he wanted and he was enjoying being a sugar baby. 

Still, years later when a magic inter-planar transference bubble arrived at casa de Taako with a letter inside from one Prince Marc, Kravitz was a little shocked.

“YOU’RE MARRIED?” he asked, waving the letter about.

“Dude, inside voice,” Taako replied, not looking up from his magazine. “I thought Fisher told you all that junk.”

“It was a lot of information all at once, I didn’t really absorb all of it,” Kravitz huffed. “Your husband wants you to come home.”

“Well he should really come here and join the rest of my concubines huh?”

That earned Taako a playful slap upside the head with the letter.
