#noibat was one of the first pokémon i ever shiny hunted in sv #and so i can say definitively that noibat's shiny is much much better than noivern #noibat's shiny has that like. very cool teal on black look which is an awesome color scheme #meanwhile noivern looks like my fursona when i was twelve‚ when i just wanted to jam every color i liked into one design #it's tacky as fuck. i don't mind it all the time but i mind it just enough when i look at noibat's shiny to remember what we missed out on #noibat

been having a lot of fun with this gen!! here are my shinies so far:

shiny murkrow, my third one ever! this was completely random and full odds. feels like a weird synchronicity, i had been given a murkrow TCG card by someone i met at the midnight release, and the following day my first shiny was a murkrow!!! how fucking cool!!

shiny rufflet! my first one ever, got this in an outbreak but i don't think it was 60 kills yet so i think the odds were still not the best. love him!!

NOIBATTTT this one i actually did do picnic resetting, meaning i got to 60 kills in an outbreak and then would open and close a picnic over and over. ironically, this one decided to shine only after i had decided i was bored of picnicing and was going to finish off the outbreak. super cool shiny to have!!

makuhita was also a completely random full odds shiny! i noticed this in the background while i was fighting a trainer and wasn't super familiar with its shiny, so i asked my friend in call what shiny makuhita looked like and sure enough, here he is!

shiny varoom i got in picnic resets as well! got this for my love @nitrogendesign, as this line is one of his favorites in this game. super glad i could get it for him, cause its a very cool shiny!!

and last but certainly not least, shiny FUCKING TATSUGIRI!!! this lil sushi is definitely one of my favorites of this generation, and i knew i had to hunt it immediately. i've been avoiding leaks and spoilers as to not ruin the shiny hunting experience, but for tatsugiri i knew i didn't want to miss it. excited to know that all 3 forms have different shinies!! i absolutely want to get all 3. this one was full odds, while using dragon encounter power level 2.

#sv spoilers #before you ask....yes. after ALL MY COMPLAINING i did eventually manage to get good at raids #or at least good enough to scrounge up enough Herba Mystica for outbreak-based hunting (no salty yet)#this was from a Noibat outbreak but i used Flying ingredients to see if i could get a bonus shiny and i DID #i can confirm now that if anyone tells you that you NEED to have EV trained Pokemon for higher-level raids they are lying #obviously it doesn't hurt but i've been handling even 6-star raids just fine with my untrained guys i used for the whole game
