Guys, the shiny gods have been so kind lately in PLA. It started with a silcoon, then a parasect while I was on my way to a yanma outbreak. And I felt it in my soul that I was long over due for a shiny yanma since I perfected its dex. Then came rotom and rhydon while flying around the mass outbreaks. The budew was random on the way to the Quilava outbreak, and there was a Typholsion there in all its shiny glory. Even though I saw the sparkle I still doubted, it was shiny.
I'm not sure if I should evolve the silcoon and budew.
Shiny Pokemon appeared found: 2-4-6 per days
Everyday i starting play at Afternoon, Evening, Night and rarely Morning well, I guess.
That's is truth i played everyday life.
Shiny hunting on Lets Go Eevee and now i have a shiny Paras and Parasect so i wanted to draw them so heres Buggy Boy and his big brother Cordyceps whove found me many mushrooms
The first was a Tentacool that spawned DURING A BALLOON MINIGAME so I thought i couldn’t catch it, but when i went back after finishing it was still there!
Then, after like 3 hours, I came back and near the exact same spot was a shiny ALPHA Tentacruel! So now I have Cruelio and Tentanicey.
Then, about like an hour later, I just happened across this guy. I ended up naming him Terracotta.
Going back and forth on evolving him, since Rhydon’s shiny is so bland, and while it’s shiny is better, I don’t care much for Rhyperior as a whole.
Onto one of the more infamous lines in Pokemon Gen I, Paras!
This poor little guy is perhaps the most unfortunate Pokemon in history. Based on the horrifying concept of brain-eating parasitic fungus, Paras is doomed to have its brain hollowed out and replaced with shrooms when it evolves, and once it gets there, what does Parasect get in return? Terrible stats, the worst type combination in the game (Bug/Grass) that gives it two 4x weaknesses (three in RGBY!), and an ability that turns one of those two 4x weaknesses into a 5x weakness.
But how about its shiny forms? Well, let’s begin with Paras itself!
Well, it’s one of those ones that barely changes. On some level, I like the idea of its body not changing, in this case getting slightly paler, and the mushrooms being different, given that it’s the mushrooms that are taking over, but the mushrooms themselves are just washed-out versions of the same colours. I’ll make it a draw just because the colours work and the idea of the shrooms changing the most is a good one, but it’s not going to the shiny because the execution is decidedly lacking.
Next, Parasect!
I’m torn on this one. The greater colour variation is nice, and the sickly yellow actually works for a Pokemon as horrifying as Parasect, but it loses the whole “Mushroom changes more than the body” thing that I liked. I think I’ll overall go with another draw.
