He'll be doing paperwork in a Royal Office somewhere and on a battlefield elsewhere and #running through the forest as a deer somewhere else and living as members of a school of fish in some transcendental lake #and scrying the pools of God and watching birds in a forest... and he incarnates here too and will be a chef downtown #and a teacher somewhere else up also doing paperwork and some dog on the street begging for food and and and #And over all of it... That central blissful mind that is water itself. all it's senses of self - emotions. thoughts. and so on - arising #from its various movements and shapes as reflections on the surface. I think s2 is a really beautiful and overall quite good expansion and deepening of the themes and arcs of season 1! however, as for my dumb little romantic heart feelings, there is just nothing like the way carmy looked at sydney when she first showed up at the restaurant and looked again. straining the stock after she tells him her history. her eyes watching him as he tries her food. him looking through her notebook. family style? two tops, booths.

#it's a marriage #.#..#...#....#.....#the bear fx #i think a lot about this show #and a lot about carmy and sydney particularly #but while i am singing s1s praises here i also really loved s2 #under the table! him thinking about her when he's panicking--she's the blue-white fire that calms him down #that article about how much it meant to the author that the fire of an ambitious black woman was what centered carmy #i cried reading it #it's so intimate. also carmy needs to go to therapy and stop offloading labor onto sydney. both are true at the same time. it's complicated #(also y'all aren't going to like this but while the writing for claire is topsy-turvy often #a lot of the backlash to her feels super misogynistic #and is dressed up in anti-misogynoir talk #it's complicated. also molly gordon's great go watch shiva baby)#gonna go through my bear posts and retag them when i figure out what i want my otp tag to be #gonna have to relent soon like i have written 10k about them might as well admit i'm a syd and carm ride or die
