So I was thinking about Gimilzôr (as you do) and about his relationship with his sons.

Observation 1: Sakalthôr : Gimilzôr : Inzilbeth : Palantir : Gimilkhad : : Azulon : Ozai : Zuko's mom (I forgot her name) : Zuko : Azula, personality-wise it fits quite a lot, except that Palantir wasn't exiled and made better choices.

Observation 2: PoV: you are the King's Heir and your eldest son, who is to inherit, is everything you hate, and your younger son is like you. But filicide is unheard of, and would result in a revolt and probably heaps of bad luck/curse for your younger son anyway (you are superstitious).

Also, even though your nation is mostly evil at this point, cheating on a spouse is unheard of, because you're a low-libido nation or something. So you cannot question his parentage and not look like a delusional fool.

What do you do?

I think there were a lot of attempts, orchestrated by Gimilzôr, to provoke Palantir Inziladûn into enough direct action against his father or grandfather that he could be tried for treason. Or to send him to ME so that he might be hopefully killed by some perils there. But I'm more interested in political maneuvering and trying to provoke him into treason while keeping Gimilzôr's hands clean.

Also, while he wouldn't harm his son, I don't think Gimilzôr was above having some of the more problematic people around him disappear (at least by getting bribed/threatened to move to the colonies).

I can't write political stuff, and have some WIPs already, but this would make a good fic.

Something I struggle with very frequently are social cues and what/what not to do in different situations. I know social cues exist yes but I really dont know how to complete them time to time (specifically if im interacting with people)

Lupgang being very understanding with moth regarding the fact theyre not the best at picking things up/realizing theyre not doing what’s socially acceptable
