Sadeas also being at rathalas is so fascinating to me, like he wasn’t just there he was actively participating and organizing. And the reactions we see from other people are kadash puking on the ground and even dalinar once the thrill leaves him has to be carried away because he’s so out of it. Both of them are still dealing with the trauma from that event. Meanwhile sadeas seems comparatively… fine?

It’s gotta just be oversight from Brandon right. Like I know Sadeas is Certified Evil and does not give a shit about human life but even when you don’t care you don’t just see thousands of people die horrifically at once without it affecting you in some way. Like. I dunno, im sure Sadeas is just great about repressing shit and sure he has charred corpses based nightmares 3 nights a week but that’s normal. He’s holding together fine. He’s fine.

Maybe random but you’re the sadeas expert and I’ve been thinking about it, any thoughts on sadeas age? Because I kinda think it would have made more sense if he was in between dalinar and gavilar in age. Like 3 years to dalinar isn’t that much especially as they get older. But that makes a minimum of 4-5 years between him and gavilar, possibly more since lighteye families seem to have big age gaps. It seems a lot for two friends when you’re teenagers

see i think it makes sense to me because while sadeas and dalinara are like more personal and close friends and like rib each other and engcouragaggage each other and aklll that shit sadeas's treatment of gavilar, much like dalinar's traeatment of gavilar, seems less..... persona.l? and more hero worshippy. so like gavilar is king we do what he says gavilar is my brother he is my hero he raised me we do as he says gavilar gavilar gavilar he is more of a mythical figure which you obey and swear fealty to than an actual friend who you do friend things with. and thats not to say gavilar and sadeas didnt do friend things together especially near the end when sadeas was like 43 and gavilar was like 50 where age gaps like that dont make as much of a big deal but like at the very beginning when sadeas was 15 and dalinar was 18 and gavilar was 22 it was a lot more like gavilar!!!!!!! hes the guy whos taking care of me, a guy who dalinar just killed my dad and so i am effectively an orphan!!! rather than gavilar my peer and friend. does this make sense?

well i just made a post about dalinars soft jock gut so lets pivot for a minute to my other signature argument which is that he and sadeas DID fuck. doesnt mater if it was just once doesnt matter if it was a thousand times. these men knew each other biblically. and they made it everyone else's problem
