Love these cowboys so much and I cannot express how much I wish the scene where Jake sneaks up behind Silva was LONGER. They should have kept so much more in this film. Or maybe the movie itself needed to have been longer idek I want moreeee. Good thing I can always draw for these two.

I just watched swol too and watching Pedro play a bottom is so… funny to me idk 😂 it’s such a great little film though!

And I mean, as an old school connoisseur of male slash and the fact I made me fanfiction bones back in the day being a yaoi author/artist of it, I can safely say that while Silva bottomed during their current-day encounter, I got the impression that in their youth, they were both switch hitters, if you know what I mean 😉

It was the way Jake said, "How long did that madness last?" that kind of clued me in. It was a whirlwind. Two months of them getting swept up in carnal debauchery and gratifying each other. Also, Silva initiated the encounter in the wine cellar in the flashback, but current-day Jake did when he checked out Silva's ass and came up behind him to nuzzle him. I think that Silva totally sent the signal that he was leaving it up to Jake to take the lead, and it paid off because he did.

And I know why it was funny to you, anon. Most tops are the guy who is the most physically imposing. Not to say Ethan Hawke is a slouch or scrawny, by any means, but Pedro is taller stature and broader in frame. Usually that's the guy who's the top in the encounter, so when it's the opposite, we tend to get a kick out of it.

I kind of love how Silva was topping from the bottom 😋 how flirty and coy he was when Jake was accusing him about having lied about having a bad back. And in the memory, Silva cups Jake's face and possessively pulls him close when they're doing that sexy AF nuzzle, oh-so-close to kissing. Sigh. I wish we'd gotten MORE because frankly, they were both magnetic. I could've watched them talk for 3 more hours.

Just watched Pedro Amaldovar’s Strange Way of Life

It needed … breathing room. The story is so rich, it needed just a few more minutes; each scene needed a few more moments to make me care about these two men and the lives they have lead up to the moment we see them for the first time.

Andalusia is a damn beautiful place.

Im going to be rewriting this because I was. kinda disappointed about the execution of this short film. I got so excited for it and probably hyped it too much for what it was.

I'm making this a public announcement in case anyone else was interested. I know a lot of others were disappointed but don't want to have to go through the trouble of rewriting it themselves. If that's you then don't worry! I'm insane enough for the both of us.

aherm spoiler alert, i heard that's important now so here i am. feature length swol you say? god, yes please. i just... wanna throw my money at them, like... i only rarely feel the urge to, but this time? goshdarnit, yes. TAKE MY MONEY and give me more. ngl, i was a bit disappointed? cause i didn't know the other pedro before this or his movies but i heard that they were steamin' hot? so like, y'know, expectations (i call it that but it was thirsty wishful thinking) built up and then... we only get to see the younglings kinda ...going at it. *sigh* i know the majority wants to only see cuties doing the do, but pls let me see older men (also women shh) love each other, too. also i'm butting in on the other anon about bottom silva and imma go and totally disagree. he gives off major bottom energy and i live for it. also pedro's (silva yesyes) slutty lil waist as it's lovingly called totally plays into that with how jake practically eats him up before that nerve-wreckingly cute and perfect little neck nuzzle scene. but ye, silva being the loving little mega puppy even IF he is broader, is just ... y'know? he screams bottom. while jake is the one who feels like he needs an extra nudge to get going, but when he does .... he goes at it hard and good. not saying silva is a passive lil babe, not at all. juuuust saying after obsessing about it for like the past 30 hours and screaming at everybody i know is even remotely interested, that's what we agreed on lol.

ahem anyway. sorry for rambling at you lol. this movie, i swear. i didn't think i'd fall down the rabbit hole SO hard. august feels so long away and then it'll be like what? another few months till it's in stores. it'll be pain to wait. XD
