I saw this cc by @anxioussimmer and knew I wanted to try and make a laundromat, and since HSY is promoting more family oriented gameplay, it seems like the right place to make one :) I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I usually don’t use CC so I’ve uploaded both this version and a non CC version to the gallery if you want to download it to use in your game!

Rocky Mountain Record Traders 

this lot was inspired by the building of the same name from Life Is Strange: True Colors the build was in my plans since when EP High School Years was released, but due to lack of things I needed, I put it off until the last basement treasures kit came out I thought for a long time what type of lot to choose: generic or retail, but in fact there is nothing to buy except for a couple of instruments, so I chose the generic one, but you can use any type you like!

Supriya: So, Did you talk with... your father about his proposition he made last Friday? You seemed a little hesitant during the conversation.

Rohan: There were some things I wanted cleared up, but it's all good now.

Supriya: What did you want cleared up?

Rohan: He let me know that he was thinking about retiring a while ago. I had almost forgotten about it so I was a bit taken aback when he said that he is actually planning on doing now. But I get his point that he preferably wants to do it before the city's elections-

-speaking about the elections, I made this rather redundant pie chart and wrote down ways we can secure votes and their chance of succeeding.

Rohan seemed to quickly change the topic of the conversation as Supriya was processing the fact that Rohan didn't give a proper answer to her question. She then looked at the chart as she read the ways to secure votes. "Debate politics from our standpoint, promote policies, and... make empty promises?!"

Rohan: Well, yous see, you've earned the career reward to make empty promises two promotions ago, so it's an option.

Supriya: No. We're not going to make promises we can't keep and lose trust from our voters.

Rohan: Listen, I can guarantee you that no politician in history, whether that be a congressman, senator, or even president, has ever kept all their promises. It won't harm the party as long as we make sure that we keep and fulfill our main promises, don't you think?

Supriya: ...

...let's say connections. ...put everything in place to ensure a smooth transition before the next elections...

Rohan: Supriya?

Supriya: Suraj wants you to lead the party when he retires, doesn't he? Now I understand what you meant with connections when I asked you about the cause you protested for. You didn't have to work your way up, everything is already laid out for you!

Rohan: Hey, I've worked just as hard as you to get to the point where I am now. The reason I didn't have to protest was because he wanted me to work by his side when I started so I could experience what it means to be a politician first hand. You've no idea how much work I had to do- why do you seem so affected by it anyway?

Supriya: Don't you see? An equal opportunity for someone in our party to work their way up and even have a chance of getting that position is completely taken away. On top of that, it'll probably take years before another opportunity like this occurs. He just wants us to work together so I can help you to look your best for the public-

Rohan: What? No! Why would you think that? You're amazing at what you do. It's partially because of your work why we are doing so well in the polls right now. You can make it so far in this career. I just had no idea that you wanted a shot at it too, although you have to realise that your current position is not high enough yet to be even considered as head of the party.

Supriya: I know I can do it! I've been working so hard since I started here. I don't want to be stuck on a position if I know that there could have been a possibility for me to achieve more. I just... wouldn't feel good about myself- about working here... I'll stay to secure the votes for the party because I told him that I would, but I'll probably try to look for a job where there is AT LEAST A POSSIBILITY to reach the top of the career somewhere else after.

Rohan: Oh- wow, hold on, there is no need to take such radical decisions right now- I know that you love this job, don't you want to think about it? Just promise me that you will think about it before making any rash decisions.

Supriya: ...Fine. I will.

There's always a slight yearning in the back of my mind wishing I had been born in the right place, time, family situation, income level, etc. to have just lived in one single house for my entire life. Imagine being born in a place that still suits you, even through all of your personal evolutions and etc. The idea of deep familiarity with an area because you've lived and explored it for 40+ years, being encased in a web of memories and connections. Being able to clean out your old childhood bedroom and find personal artifacts, to dig in the yard and remember. I know those lives can still be plenty imperfect, but there's just something so seemingly solid and stable and Grounding about it that I sometimes wish I could have.. (At least from my outside perspective as someone who's moved around a bit geographically and even within the same area, never lives in the same house/ apartment /etc. for more than a few years usually.) Like... having a place that is printed upon, fully your own, rather than chronically a visitor, every thought of a space always tempered with the notion that one day soon you'll have to pack it all up again, etc. There's something peaceful about the permanence.

“Are you ready for a big day of hanging out with Rahmi?” I asked Este early this morning. Caleb offered to feed her but I said I’d do it. It’s one of my bonding times with our daughter. Caleb has been great about making sure I get to sleep at night when Este needs something. One of the perks of having a hot vampire hubby. 

Este babbled in baby talk to me, I assumed that was a yes.

I gave Este her bath after I had mine. She seems to really love bath-time and water in general, maybe it’s a sign that she may be a mermaid? Or she just likes water.

I picked out a Spooky Day themed outfit for her to wear for our outing with Rahmi. It’s a great thing that we have so many people and beings that surround us that offer support and love.

Rahmi took us to the Creature Keeper’s cottage but he wasn’t home. Still, it’s a beautiful place in the countryside I had somehow never been to before. Este enjoyed looking at all the bees and butterflies that were still fluttering around, it’s been a warmer Autumn so far. Rahmi and I discussed her looking in on the house and chickens while my family is away in Sulani. We’ll be taking a trip there shortly after Spooky Day. I haven’t gotten to swim in the ocean since I was in my second trimester of pregnancy, my body and soul are longing for it. It will also be great to spend time with my brother and his family in the home we grew up in.

Old Church

When Forgotten Hollow was a prosperous town, this Church received visitors every day. Now there is breakdown here - a beautiful family crypt has long lost its greatness and turned into ruins and so many graves are overgrown, however, still someone visits this place, bringing fresh flowers to the graves…
