Yoga Mod by Twinsimming & Alunn 🧘🏾‍♀️

This mod brings the yoga activity from The Sims 4: Spa Day to The Sims 3. Originally created by Alunn, I recently took over to add additional features and bring it to release!

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

The Perfect Yoga Mat: two channels | §130 |

Zen Again Yoga Mat: two channels | §125 |

The yoga mat is draggable in Live Mode and can be placed in a sim’s personal or family inventory.

Yoga Mat

Using any of the yoga mat interactions will build the Athletic skill (except for Children), though some more slowly than others. As your sim’s skill increases, they will learn new yoga poses and improve on their execution of previous ones.

A sim’s Athletic skill also determines how long they can use the mat before becoming Fatigued* (anywhere from 4-7 hours):

Skill Level 1-3 (Poor/Novice): 4 hours

Skill Level 4-6 (Normal): 5 hours

Skill Level 7-9 (Skilled): 6 hours

Skill Level 10 (Expert): 7 hours

*Children will always get Fatigued after 3 hours.

Your sim won’t gain muscle, lose weight, or become more fit from using the mat, but they will fulfill any generic workout related wishes. And sims won’t lose Hygiene as fast as they would using other athletic equipment.

Sims aged Teen and up will switch into their athletic outfit, take off their shoes before using the mat, and put them back on when finished. Children will switch into their athletic outfit, but leave their shoes on.

Pregnant sims can use the mat in any trimester!

Interactions

Practice Yoga (Child and Up): Raises Athletic skill, gives sims the Tranquil moodlet after 2 hours, small boost to Fun need

Do Yoga Routine… (Teen and Up):

Stress Relieving (Level 3 Athletic Skill): Boosts Fun need, gives Tranquil moodlet, slowly raises Athletic skill, can be used even when sims have the Stressed moodlet

Mind Balancing (Level 5 Athletic Skill): Boosts Social need, gives Tranquil moodlet, small boost to Fun need, slowly raises Athletic skill

Energy Centering (Level 7 Athletic Skill): Boosts Energy need. gives Tranquil moodlet, small boost to Fun need, slowly raises Athletic skill

By default, yoga routines will only boost their specific needs up to half way, so don't think your sims can forgo a good night's rest or talking to a friend in favor of a tree pose or two!

Sims with the Athletic skill, Martial Arts skill, Athletic trait, or the Disciplined trait will be drawn to use the mat autonomously. Sims will also be drawn to the mat when it is placed on a Gym, Dojo, or Chinese Garden lot type.

All of the following values are tunable in the mod’s XML file:

Conflicts & Known Issues

- As this is a brand new scripted object, there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

- Teen sims sink a bit into the mat on certain animations because The Sims 4 doesn’t have shorter teens to convert animations from.

- If a laundry basket/washer/dryer has been placed on the lot, when sims take off their shoes to use the yoga mat, a pile of clothing will spawn.

Mariella & James, besides being a young couple, take great care of their physical and especially worldly appearance. Their clothes often seem to match in pattern and colour, but this is no coincidence: they both like to be admired when out with friends or at galas. Halflings do not have a real surname, but are based on the "family name", this usually indicates the temperament of that genealogical branch. And on Sandra it is particularly apt. She has an incredibly romantic and passionate character, and as a halfling she does not lack curiosity and courage, so much so that she quickly became the captain of the basketball team in her category. She attends the academy of fine arts, and it is at the Saturday morning yoga class that she met Gwendaline, the orc, with whom she then became engaged and began to live together.

As much as halflings don't like being judged by their height, Haeni challenges everyone about it, first with basketball and then with an engagement to a girl twice her height!

“Y/n, do you want to come to my house after class?”

Yeji's relaxed voice brought you out of your thoughts and caught your gaze, which was lost in the clouds floating in the blue sky. Your last class had been suspended because the teacher had had to leave due to an emergency, so they had let you leave earlier. You, Riki and Yeji sat admiring the sky on the bleachers of the school's sports field. Autumn was approaching and you couldn't be happier, you loved that season much more than the others because you were fascinated by the dry leaves and the cool climate.

"To your house?" you thought for a moment. "Like, to study? But I don't think we have anything to study."

"To study what?" Riki laughed "Just hanging out. Right, Yeji?"

"Of course" Yeji also laughed lightly, sometimes the insecure answers you had gave him tenderness. "You don't always get together with your friends to study. Is that the only thing you did in Japan?"

You had never really gone to hang out at your friends' houses. Yes, you went to Riki's house because he used to be your trusted person and with whom you liked to spend time talking and also sharing your silence without it being awkward, but going to your new friend's house did make you nervous for some reason.

"Yes... sure" you hesitated "I should ask my father."

"Your father would never say no to you" Riki intervened. Yeji looked at him in surprise.

"How do you know that?" the girl was genuinely interested in how confident Riki had sounded when giving you that answer.

You and Riki looked at each other, you had never told anyone that you knew each other from Japan, you just let everyone assume that you both had become close because you were compatriots and avoided having to explain yourself, and also prevented them from asking about your lives. before going to Korea. You laughed and Riki looked at Yeji with a smile.

"That's just how Japanese parents are," he commented as if that were normal in the world. Feigning disinterest, he avoided the black-haired girl's gaze. "They never say no." Yeji looked at him with her eyes wider than normal and blinked a couple of times, showing that she did not understand what he had just said, then she shook her head and directed her look towards you.

"So, what do you say?" the girl smiled at you, you nodded and both smiled at you happily.

When you arrived at the house that was not far from the school, you followed Yeji and Riki into the home, leaving your shoes at the door and your bag hanging on the coat rack next to it. A floral aroma completely invaded your sense of smell and you felt like you were entering a real home, warmth and comfort surrounded the atmosphere. The house was cozy, with dim lighting, adorned with vases and paintings wherever you passed. You walked behind your friends who climbed the stairs that led to Yeji's room. You continued your way and looked over the pictures that hung in the hallway with white walls, they were all family photos. A photo of a smiling little boy caught your attention completely and you felt your heart shrink, it was a Sunghoon of approximately 4 years old, smiling at the camera in front of him, looking extremely happy and as if he was born to be captured by cameras. You were so engrossed in that image that you didn't notice that Yeji and Riki had disappeared into one of the rooms, you couldn't stop seeing the photo with a small smile forming on your face.

"What are you looking at, curious little one?"

You jumped in your place and a hand on the curve of your back stopped you from falling when you tripped over your own feet. When you turned, the same boy in the photo -a couple of years older- was looking at you with his eyebrows slightly raised and an amused grin on his face.

“I’m sorry" you apologized sincerely. Sunghoon shook his head casually. “You're the boy in the photo, right?” You always found yourself fighting to hold his gaze, but you couldn't help but feel intimidated by the handsome boy and his penetrating dark gaze.

"Yes, that's me" Sunghoon didn't know why but he felt a little embarrassed that you had seen that photo of him, so he gently scratched the back of his neck and looked away.

"You looked so cute" you admitted with a smile, catching the black-haired boy's attention. "Yeji and you really look a lot alike, you could easily pass for twins."

"Oh" he looked at you a little surprised and not precisely because you were talking about his resemblance to his sister. "Well yes, but Yeji is even prettier than me."

You were always surprised by the way Sunghoon treated Yeji. He always went to your class to see how she was doing and if she needed anything and he never forgot to tell her that he loved her and that she was doing things well without being embarrassed that someone would hear it being affectionate with his little sister. That made you feel a sense of tenderness, mainly because you didn't have siblings to have that relationship with and at the same time, it showed you that Sunghoon was someone trustworthy and polite.

"Speaking of Yeji" Sunghoon looked around "Where is she? Did she leave you here alone?"

"Oh no, I think she went into her room with Riki, I lost sight of them when I got distracted by the photos" you admitted somewhat embarrassed and at the same time let out a giggle that faded when you noticed Sunghoon's gaze.

Those words completely changed his face, you saw how his eyes lost their shine and his eyebrows furrowed, then he turned around and entered one of the rooms at the end of the hallway without knocking at the door.

"Nishimura!" His voice echoed in the room, you hurried to see what was happening, timidly peeking your head out from behind the tall boy. "We already talked about this. No more being in the same room as Yeji with the doors closed" He looked at his sister, piercing her with his eyes "and you..."

“Sunghoon!” the girl jumped from her spot screeching in anger, facing her brother with a frown "We were waiting for y/n. Besides, I'm older now! I don't need you to meddle in my life and come into my room as you want."

"Older?" Sunghoon laughed exaggeratedly, as his body leaned slightly. "You're fucking seventeen, Yeji. You're not old. You don't know what it's like to be old yet!"

"You're eighteen! What's the damn difference?" Yeji crossed her arms and stared at her older brother.

"Don't give me that look" Sunghoon warned. Yeji tended to stare at him and try to manipulate him, she always succeeded and then Sunghoon would feel guilty and beg for his forgiveness for feeling like he had hurt his little sister's feelings.

Riki was stiff and completely silent sitting in Yeji's desk chair. In fact, both were standing apart and simply chatting at the moment Sunghoon barged in, but the mere fact that they were in the same room made Sunghoon's blood boil. On your side, you were standing by the door behind the black-haired boy, not daring to even move or make a comment while the siblings argued heatedly, lost in their words.

“Y/n?” a cheerful voice spoke behind your back accompanied by a hand resting on your shoulder that prompted you to turn in place.

Jaeyun was there, his brow furrowed as he quickly observed everything around him, trying to understand why the screams he had heard from the room continued, Sunghoon's room. His gaze fell on Riki sitting with his face pale and he laughed as if the situation was extremely funny.

"Riki, buddy!" He laughed heartily. "You know you have to be here when Sunghoon's not home, we've told you before." Sunghoon turned his face quickly and looked at Jaeyun with his eyes wide open and his face red with anger.

"Have you been here when I'm not home?" His face reflected how betrayed he felt by everyone. "Yeji-" he looked at his sister with pain.

"Yes, but it doesn't mean anything" Yeji tried to reach for his hand and then looked at Jaeyun "Jaeyun, learn to shut your damn mouth!" she shouted angrily.

"Yeji, don't curse" Sunghoon reprimanded calmly as if he had never cursed, while he closed his eyes and brought his hands to his face, rubbing it in an attempt to calm his annoyance.

Jaeyun raised both hands, showing himself to be free of guilt as he continued to find the situation too funny. His gaze went to you who was still stiff in your place without fully understanding what everyone was shouting, yes you were very surprised, but sometimes the language barrier worked against you as you were not so used to Korean, you only heard screams and quick words coming out of the mouths of the group in front of you.

"Hey Y/n" he caught your attention "Do you want us to get out of here? We're both pretty lost" you gave him a grimace similar to a smile and nodded quickly. Jaeyun without hesitation, grabbed your hand and led you out of the room while the other three settled their misunderstanding.

"Is Sunghoon always like this with his sister?" You could still hear the argument on the second floor and you were already beginning to worry that it would not calm down. For your part, you were not used to arguments since you had been raised in a quiet and fairly quiet house.

Jaeyun had taken you out of the room and both of you had gone down to the living room of the house, the boy had told you that they would be on the second floor for a while, so you made yourself comfortable on the couch to wait for your friends.

"You were very surprised, right?" Jaeyun couldn't help but find your lost look cute, without thinking he brought a hand to your face and tenderly caressed your cheek causing a blush to appear on your face "Yes, Sunghoon is usually overprotective of his sister, but it's because she's his little sister, I think it's understandable and if you have brothers I think they should be the same with you."

“I don’t have any siblings” you shrugged.

"Oh, well" Jaeyun thought for a few seconds "Sunghoon has been like this since his father died a few years ago after battling an illness, I think it's his way of showing Yeji that he will always take care of her no matter what happens. I don't agree with him not letting her get close to who she likes or anyone who is of more than friendly interest to her, but Sunghoon is quite stubborn, you know" He laughed.

You were surprised by the information. You didn't know about Yeji and Sunghoon's family, but you felt like you could understand a little why he felt betrayed, maybe the boy thought that they only had each other to tell everything and know that his sister was hiding some things made him feel hurt. At the same time, it also caught your attention that Jaeyun knew that Riki and Yeji liked each other and that he apparently supported and covered them.

"Sunghoon has to understand that Yeji is no longer a little girl and that she is very pretty and kind, of course she will have many boys after her" Jaeyun shrugged.

"And Sunghoon..." you hesitated. "He has a lot of girls after him? Maybe Yeji will be jealous too."

"No" Jaeyun denied convinced "I mean, not that Yeji is jealous of him, in fact Sunghoon has a lot of girls looking for his attention and his personality doesn't help, he attracts them naturally" he rolled his eyes "but Yeji doesn't care what her brother does as long as he is happy." You felt slightly uncomfortable with that information, but you didn't say anything about it, you simply nodded listening to the boy.

"And also Yeji doesn't get involved in his life just as she wants Sunghoon not to get involved in hers, but it's difficult."

"Would you be like that with your sister?" you asked curiously, trying to know a little more about what kind of person Jaeyun was.

"I don't have sisters, but I think that if I did I would also be quite alert" he nodded "but Ni-ki is a good boy, he would take good care of Yeji."

"Riki is a very kind person and would treat her very well if Yeji gave him the chance and Sunghoon didn't interfere" you confirmed.

Jaeyun looked at you with surprise when he heard you speak so confidently about his friend whom you had only known for a couple of days, according to him, but you were not wrong and Jaeyun felt that you knew more about Riki than they did. When he continued to look at you expectantly, you looked away knowing what he would ask you.

"How do you know?"

Your eyes was drawn to some more photographs that adorned the table in front of the sofa. There were more photos of Yeji and Sunghoon together, but what caught your attention the most were the different photos of Sunghoon doing something new, photos of him performing at school, singing, ice skating and lastly and apparently most recently, wearing a soccer uniform.

"Sunghoon did all this?" Your voice showed surprise the more you looked at the photos. The boy was barely eighteen years old, you couldn't believe everything he had done.

"Yes" Jaeyun looked at the photos with you "Sunghoon is someone with a lot of energy and likes to try new things constantly, I think he also does it to evade his feelings, after what happened with his father he needed to clear his mind" You nodded with a little bit of sadness after hearing it "But now he doesn't do any of that anymore, he's looking for his new distraction."

"What do you think it will be?" The question hung in the air when three persons walked down the stairs in silence, Riki and Yeji in front and Sunghoon behind with his brows slightly frowning.

"Problem solved?"Jaeyun dared to ask, afraid of sparking another argument.

Yeji sat down on the couch with annoyance and Riki was going to continue walking by, when the girl pulled his arm and forced him to sit next to her, earning an annoyed look from Sunghoon who decided to ignore them and sit on the other side.

"Problem solved" was the only thing Yeji said to Jaeyun "Y/n, I'm sorry that you were present at Sunghoon's embarrassing jealous scene, I assure you it won't happen again. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."

"I'm not ashamed of anything." Sunghoon didn't look at anyone, keeping his head up. "And you won't see it again as long as they don't lock themselves in that room and I can see that they're not doing anything... wrong. "

"Anyway, you can't look after me all the time." Yeji blurted out that provocative comment, but Sunghoon just took a deep breath and decided to ignore her. The black-haired girl looked at you with an awkward smile and you gently held her hand and shook your head, letting her know that there was no problem and that she didn't have to worry.

Sunghoon looked up and looked to his side, Jaeyun looked at you with a smile and noticed that you were both sitting very close. He frowned a little confused when he noticed that for some reason seeing you like this made him uncomfortable, but he didn't give it any importance to the situation and kept thinking about what he would do with Yeji and Riki to keep them away.
