The Nursery/Kid Collection

Hello everyone 🤗

I'm wishing you all a Happy New Year 😍🥳🥳 I hope you're all doing great at the beginning of 2023!

I'm so, so happy today to share with you the biggest collection I ever made and to show you my progress in Blender 😱

About my progress this month:

One of the biggest new skills I have now is that the bed blanket is animated!!!! 

I learned how to make a cloth simulation on a mesh, which means I created from scratch for the first time in my life the pillow, the blanket (bed cover?), and the bed canopy

As I already said, I learn how to animate the blanket, which means the bed is fully functional exactly as it should be. No more strange animation when a toddler will going to sleep in it 👌

I also learned how to create a curve, which was needed for the garland

Most of the rugs in this collection has now a thickness even if the shape is not a basic shape such as a square, rectangle, or round. I learned how to add texture details to them which gives a realistic and mellow appearance which can be great if you have a Simstagram and share cute toddler poses for example

I started learning several new other skills but the end result is too bad to be shared right now 😂

Thank you all so so much for all your support without which I simply wouldn't be able to spend as much time learning new 3d skills 🙏❤

About the collection:

The collection is composed of 25 new CC with a total of ... 291 swatches! 😱

I wanted to cover as many styles as possible with plain colors and matching patterns for you to be sure to be able to create a lot of different toddler bedrooms even if you're using the same mesh. I'm personally always frustrated when the CC is exactly the one I want to use but can't find the swatch that is matching with the other items made by another CC creator. 

Of course, I couldn't create all the textures ever possible, but for sure when an item has 38 different swatches, you'll find at least 1 of them matching your interior 😍

The color palettes I used to create this collection are mostly white, pink, orange, green, and blue with matching patterns and for some items, I created different kinds and tones of wood from light to dark.

Everything is base game and HQ compatible

Everything is functional and playtested

All items have from 1 swatch up to 38

When possible, all items have all their LODs

Except for the bed canopy (sorry), everything is low poly

They all have their custom thumbnails and are correctly tagged

Most of them can be found under "kid's furniture" or "kid's decoration"

All of them can also be found with those keywords: sims4luxury; nursery; toddler; kid

How to make the bed functional:

The bed is coming in 3 separated pieces: 

Bed frame

mattress

blanket

and ONLY THE BLANKET is actually functional. Bed frames and mattresses are only decor items with 0 interactions or animations linking to them. So you'll need to place the blanket if you want your toddler sim to be able to sleep in the bed from this collection.

You can use the blanket with any other bed frame you have, it will work the same.

I separated the bed into 3 pieces for you to choose between all the swatches and mix and match all of them the way you prefer.

About the bed canopy:

The bed canopy is a high poly mesh. I did my best and created several versions of it but the only one which didn't look too weird to be shared is the version that has 25k poly. So please be cautious! 

I created the mesh to be placed as close as possible to the walls in a corner so that the bed frame can be placed below it, not next to or in front of it and it does not create a collision with any sim.

Tips:

Because of the number of swatches a lot of the CC in this collection has, the files are large. 

If you need to save space on your computer but still want to keep this collection installed, I suggest you delete the swatches you like the least with Sims4Studio.

HELLO!! Thank you again for the Ballpit AU!!!

So I got the Into the Pit audiobook last week (I forgot to cancel my audible subscription for like.... months and needed to burn my credits somewhere fun LOL). And I wouldn't call myself a fnaf lore expert lol. But it got me randomly thinking. If the ball pit in Jeff's Pizza could time travel because -mumblemumble- Agony and Remnant reasons or something -mumblemumble- then the ball pit in the Pizzaplex probably had the same kind of thing where it absorbed all that stuff over the years? Perhaps the two ball pits in your AU that exist at different times are one and the same?

I could definitely see Fazbear entertainment in Pizzeria Sim finding the original Fredbear's ball pit after like 30 years and going, "Yeah, we can give this thing to that new guy with the bear head. His pizzeria won't last a week anyway."

And when that pizzeria burns down and they build the Pizzaplex on top of it, some OTHER pizzaplex employees find that thing hidden away and say to themselves, "We can't waste this money-saving resource! Find a good place for the 40-50 year old disgusting unwashed ball pit in this Pizzaplex immediately!!!"

...And that kids, is one possible recipe for your very own time traveling ball pit....??

But also this is fnaf. Nothing really needs a recipe, I personally am a fan of answering lore questions with, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "uhh-uhh!"

Great play on the original Star Trek title Amok Time (which I have admittedly never seen). This was a great episode, though I kind of missed why the vehicle replicator was making one of those robot things. Anyway, I loved how they all worked together even though they were separated by fractured time. And Rok’s development… 👍👍

Moral Star

Very good two-part episode. I thought they had a pretty solid plan, actually. Loved how Dal uses the technology that enslaves the people to enable them to communicate snd thus work together.

Interesting that Starfleet destroyed Gwyn’s home planet, and that the Diviner is from the future.

I was not a Pokémon kid and never even tried playing the games, so when I read that it was like a copycat I thought I'd hate it.

here we are 35 levels and lots of hours later and I have explored like maybe 25% of the map, I'm still having a blast, and I legit can't believe it's still in early access. it has features, already well implemented, that some AAA games had to have modders create.

oh yeah, and you can customize your experience at any time by just changing the settings to your world. want to make things more difficult? sure. want to have everything spawn on you at once? go ahead. play it as a farming simulator or min max the shit out of it, you can do either or both. like👌 ggs devs

Well, OF COURSE I WOULD BE SAD AS HELL 😭 But eeeh give it around a year and a half probably and I might get over it (LMAO) since it's what AU's are for so I'm dandy with it ✨👌

However, allow me to say that Activision adding a female character to be coupled with Ghost is almost impossible, like close to 0. Ghost is marketed as a Ghost for a reason. We know literally NOTHING about him except (1) Dude's from Manchester (2) He knew Price before he was Ghost (3) He was in the same unit as Mace. From a corporate stand point, adding a girl to a widely beloved obssessed over character would not be a good move for the game.

Plus Call of Duty is a warcrime simulator guns blazing game targeted for boys in their parents' basement. I don't think Activision has a glimpse of any romance plot for Ghost or any of the characters really (except Laswell having a wife but she's not a playable character).

Oooooo thats really hard, I like a lot of things- don't mind me I might ramble about things I like gjskjfksk this might be a long incoherent post fjsjfjsjjf

My most favourite and played games are rpgs, sandboxes, rougelites and visual novels (ooo and also games where you sell things- simulators are fun). I really value a good story but I think gameplay will always be the most important of a game.

That said I like games that are silly but know how to handle their more serious a story beats hand in hand storywise, I like hurt/comfort and found family in a lot in all my media jfksjfkakfk.

For example! Pokemon Explorers of Sky, UGH OMG that game is amazing (So glad RTGame played it recently I gotta relive the game again and cried like HELLA- FOR A POKEMON GAME-) the story and gameplay in that game is so fun I wanna replay it sjsjgksdkk. Amazingly hurtful and comforting, found family? Also very real, the friendship between the player and their partner pokemon :'((( cryijg sobbing-

Other than story I like long games! Games I can chuck a good couple hours in and still have more to explore! Which sounds stupid from someone who rarely finishes games fully anymore, but replay ability is must! A good game is a game you wanna play more than once :D which can be done many ways but I'll go through some basic stuff!

Games where you can play in multiple different ways, even a minor amount, is really fun for me. Stuff like different dialogue outcomes, endings, strategies, gameplay styles, classes etc. Makes something that I wanna come back to (though its not a complete must! I've played the portal games over and over quite a bit! And the answer is technically always the same, but thanks to my bad memory and it being a great game with funny robots is 👌 mmm delicious)

Also love a good minigame to focus the shift on a while away from the core gameplay, stuff like fishing in a game where thats like not the complete focus- Hades even technically has a fishing minigame! (Albeit not very complex pfff)

I wanna talk more but I am afraid ive already written too much JFKQJFKENVKZK- I REALLY LIKE GAMES- if you wanna know more I'm not afraid to ask more game questions pfff

I can only take Cam’s simulated on-screen sex with Noel for reference but I have to admit that his stroke game looks pretty weak. Maybe he was uncomfortable while filming and that is why he looked so stiff and mechanical but it’s something that has always thrown me off.

Noel on the other hand…. 👌 I’m pretty sure he is spectacular in bed

I've heard that from other people. Like, why was he painted to be such a sexual expert, but whenever he had to thrust on-screen, he made it look so lacking and inexpressive?

I don't know. I would chalk it up to his age. He was still just a teenager and maybe not all that experienced himself yet. Or, maybe the scenes were directed that way. As in, he was told to go slow and make it look awkward because in both cases, the sex is happening moments before they get caught. And too much passion wouldn't have played well, given the context?

Interestingly, Noel had fairly graphic sex with three women during the course of the show. And never did he look awkward. Upset and internalizing deep rage, yes. But never without skill. This I'll give you!
