Things I'd put in my ideal multiplayer time-travel survival sandbox game set in Laramidia a million years before the Chicxulub impact
Scientifically accurate dinosaurs that act like believable animals
Killing anything (other than in self defense) is completely optional, all game progression is done through collecting samples for scientists and surveying the landscape for potential colony expansion
You can be left handed
You can customize your gear
Every player gets a little assigned house in the colony hub area but they can also go build a place out in the wilderness if they want
All PvP is opt-in and explicitly non-lethal using paintballs or simunition or whatever
Nothing in the game costs real money
Frankly excessive amount of character customization options
Genital customization to rival Baldur's Gate 3
Enough pronoun options to ensure right-wing shitheads will never play it

@razorfst liked for a starter + Soldier Verse and Nøkk
Karina had been told they would be training with a few German soldiers. It was meant to be a week-long excursion in the wilderness for both teams. The first part was seeing how the other teams worked, allowing superiors to decide the best course of action. The location they had picked had a swamp. That gave Karina the idea they were giving them a biome identical to where they would be going.
The second part would be learning to work together. Karina was always interested in learning new tactics. Learning how people worked always gave her new things to think about.
Currently, she was in the swamp water. Not moving next to a tree. Her camo netting on her head masking the helmet. She blended in well with her surroundings. Before being sent out to start the training, they had given everyone simunition rounds. Karina had brought in her own rounds. This was a live test. Why use fake rounds? She never understood that people took it less seriously when they thought they couldn't get hurt.
She wouldn't purposefully hit anyone, but she would scare them. See how they reacted under pressure. That was the ultimate test. She listened, hearing footsteps on the gravel to her left. Turning her head, she saw someone coming around the tree. Perfect. She slowly crept out of the water, still using the tree to conceal herself. Pushing into some bushes, continuing to stalk closer. Still rather hidden, she aimed at his feet and shot. Karina wanted to see his initial reaction to the shot and go from how he reacted.

A bunch of the troops had Simunition bolts/mags (basically training bullets that fire little chalk marker bullets) in their rifles, and no mags in their sidearms. Either they were interrupted in the middle of training, or they geared up specifically not to kill people. Maybe both.
Either way, between that, the video up there, and that one poor FNG accidentally losing his GPNVG-18 on the ground...

... none of them wanted to be there, it's fairly obvious.
hilarious that the south korean soldiers seem to be getting absolutely clowned considering they’re supposed to be an all-elite super fighting force or whatever

Thomas Greer (aka 'Dalton Fury') seen on the right. He also has a Knight's Armament RIS Forend from Delta M4A1 packages installed on his rifle.
Also interesting to note the rifles both operators have in this photo aren't the usual Colt Model 723's Delta was known for using, but instead are Olympic Arms CAR-AR Rifles that have been retrofitted for simunitions use (as indicated by the clear magazines and blue components). Delta likely only procured these for training use and were never intended for combat.
Above: Olympic Arms CAR-AR. Note the Rapidex rear sight windage knob, shorter barrel, and XM177-style faux moderator consistent with the rifles in the photo.
The polymer XM177-style buttstocks could also on occasion be seen on some of Delta's early M4A1 rifles, though I'm not sure why operators would make the choice to swap them out as the Colt N1 Fiberlite stocks were much higher quality, and the CAR-AR stocks were also only sized for commercial buffer tubes, meaning they would fit sloppy on the buffer tubes of M4A1's.

Above: Members of C-Squadron and their early M4A1 Carbines with custom Armalite Fiberglass FF Tube Handguards, c.1996-1998. The operator at left has an Olympic Arms CAR-AR Stock on his rifle, as indicated by the lack of two 'ribs' along the body of the tube.
As a final note, it appears both men are wearing the AWS Protective Vest (aka 'Direct Action Trauma Body Armor'), which while around in the late 90's, Delta did not adopt until at least 2000.
Between 1996-1999 the unit would have been using the Point Blank PBPV and leftover supplies of T.G. Faust NATO SF Body Armor from the 1980's.
This detail dates the photo OP posted to at least the early 2000's and not the mid-90's.

Above: Point Blank PBPV (left) and AWS Protective Vest (right). Almost completely identical at first glance. Small changes in the construction of the cummerbunds and the edges of the vests denote the difference. Source: crapshoot_surplus (Instagram)

Arc’teryx Theta AR jacket
Mammut Windstopper jacket
Arc’teryx knee caps
Outdoor Research Ironsight gloves
Mammut beanie
ESS Ice ballistic eyeshields
Black Diamond Storm headlight
IFAK shotwound trauma kit
3M Peltor shooting headset
MantisX shooting performance system
Wather P99QNL simunition and dummy pistol
Gas mask
Leatherman Wave tool
Dummy weapons (wrench tool and knife) for scenario training
This bag was provided by the Ortlieb dealer in The Netherlands at my request, to use and test this bag in a tactical environment, rather than in the typical outdoor environment it was designed for.
It seems to me this bag has great potential for military or LE, because to my knowledge this is one of the first bags that is completely waterproof, and yet provides easy and fast acces to the inside of the bag.
As you can see in one of the pictures, once the zipper is completely opened, the pack opens like a duffelbag!

Proposal:
A faithful, accurate though non lethal 1:1 recreation of the Spencer Estate from Resident Evil (original or remake doesn’t matter but the remake for its ambiance and atmosphere) with hired performers and sophisticated animatronics for the creatures. Weapons loaded with simunitions, and cameras everywhere. Just to provide the wealthy youth with the thrilling experience of LARPing through Resident Evil, from the helicopter flight at the start to the helicopter flight at the end... “Tours” are by appointment only and start at $5,000 per person.
What would Shaw’s thoughts about something like this be?
I don’t think he’d have any. Shaw’s forte is industry, but not the entertainment industry, so it’s probably not something he’d be involved in creating. And he definitely has no idea what Resident Evil is so I don’t think he’d be participating either. I think he’d look at at like, say, Disney World or big game trophy hunts—-it’s something that he can see makes money, and can appreciate that, but he’s staying in his own lane of things since he’s doing just fine there.
