Giant list of helpful references and resources for artists and OCs!
A giant list of references that I use often, or have found useful, and would like to share with others. If any of the links are broken or unsafe, please let me know so I can remove them.
--Free images--
Vecteezy - A site to download vector art and stock photos.
Pixabay, Unsplash, Pexels, and Public Domain Pictures - Lots of public domain and royalty free stock photos.
Smithsonian Open Access - “Where you can download, share, and reuse millions of the Smithsonian’s images—right now, without asking. With new platforms and tools, you have easier access to more than 4.4 million 2D and 3D digital items from our collections.”
--Names--
Nameberry, Magic Baby Names,Think Baby Names, Meaning of Names, 20,000 Names - All great for finding character names.
Fantasy Name Generators - Great for naming characters, locations, streets, buildings, towns and so on.
My Dog’s Name - Actually has some decent sounding dog names that aren’t just ‘Fluffy’ or ‘Spike’.
Dance Names - A random site I found with an abundance of nice names.
--Words--
Words to Use - A handy theasaurus-like site.
More Words and Word Finder - Nice when you need to find words, for example ones that ‘start with ROU’ or ‘end in INE’.
OneLook - Find words related to what you type, that aren’t limited to a theasaurus.
Word Mixer -  Enter in 2-5 words and the site randomly mixes them together. Great for names and creating a species.
Latin Dictionary - A list of words in the latin language and their meanings.
Random Word Generator - Great for coming up with prompts to draw. Good for monthly art challenges.
RomajiDesu - For japanese words and meanings.
Tip of My Tongue - Find words that you can’t seem to remember.
--Poses and Anatomy-- Sensitivity warning for some of these sites showing full human anatomy.
PoseManiacs - A site with premade poses that you can rotate. Hand viewer is coming back soon!
Magic Poser - The web version of the Magic Poser App. Create your own poses and models at any angle.
DesignDoll - A posing program that is free, unless you want to save a pose or model. Can add multiple models to a scene, import Blender models, and use Doll Atelier to easily upload premade models. Also comes with a hand library, with fully poseable fingers, and a ton of other features.
Japanese Macho Stock - A free stock site of macho Japanese men doing silly or everyday actions. Nice for muscle studies.
Anatomy 360 - A program to view 3D scanned real models for references. You have to buy the program, but they do provide some free references on their site.
Poses for Drawing - A pinterest board with a handful of pins of poses and references.
Adorkastock - Tons and tons of free pose references with varying body types that have anime and videogames in mind rather than just random poses. Posts often on Deviantart and Twitter.
Jookpubstock- Similar to Adorkastock, posts free references on Twitter frequently. Lots more available through their Patreon, including hand packs and item packs.
CharacterDesigns - A site with convention and event photos you are free to use.
Pose Tool - A site with an expansive search function to find the pose you’re looking for. You can browse the thumbnails but the packs have to be purchased.
Quickposes - A tool to find poses or use as warmups. Comes with a section to sort which poses you want to see.
Body Builder - A great way to visualize a humanoid character’s body shape based on variables such as height, weight, and how much exercise they get. I doubt it’s fully accurate, but it’s still useful.
漫画素材工房 ‘s Pixiv - So so so so many helpful images on nearly any kind of anatomy possible. It’s all in japanese, but the images are clear enough to understand without text. Also has done lots and lots of hand references.
----And now, a pose tip!--- Having trouble looking for a pose, or model, or you just don’t draw people? Try looking for YouTube videos! Dog agility events are great for dog anatomy, music videos are useful for more unique poses. Street/Town walking videos are great for environment references. Use your resources! Most 3D printing sites have 3D model viewers on the site, so you can view any modeled object in nearly any angle without downloading or buying anything. Thingiverse and Sketchfab are nice places to start.
--OC Ideas--
Character Personality Quiz - Uses sliders to determine a character’s personality, and compares them with already existing characters in media.
123 Ideas for Character Flaws - A list of well, 123 character flaws.
Flaws and Weaknesses Generator - As the title says! Also has other helpful links for character designs.
16 Personalities - The popular personality test to determine what personality people fall under. But also useful to answer in character too.
Thought-Provoking Questions - A list of questions you can use to flesh out a character (or yourself).
--Colors--
ColorSnap - Make your own color palette by uploading any image.
Paletton - Select color schemes for websites or images. Drag the dots to create complimentary and tri-color schemes.
Coolors - Press your spacebar to create new color schemes. Lock or unlock colors you like, and rearrange them to your liking.
--Sounds--
MyNoise - Set ambient tones for drawing or writing. Make it feel like it’s raining outside, or you’re sitting in a café, or outside on a summer night but minus the cicadas.
Ambient Mixer - Has plenty of premade ambience, but you can still craft and edit your own.
--Other--
Waifu2x - A site that enlarges an image without losing the quality (most of the time). I mostly use it for Switch screenshots but I’m sure it can have other artistic uses.
Save as PNG - A useful Chrome extension that adds a ‘Save as PNG’ section to your right click. Nice for when images keep saving as .webp files. (you’ll have to search for this extension yourself, it doesn’t like me linking to it.)
Timer Tab - Turn your browser’s tab into a countdown clock. Useful for keeping focused.
Timer for Productivity - A small downloadable program to help keep you focused. Uses a timer in green when you’re working in an art program (or other authorized program), but stops and turns red if you click off and get distracted.
PostyBirb - A downloadable program that lets you upload an image to multiple websites at once. Includes many art sites such as Deviantart, Tumblr, Furaffinity, and many more. Will adjust your tags, titles, descriptions, and ratings to fit every website, and even allows minor changes for each individual site. I questioned it’s authenticity at first since it requires your login information, but after asking some tech-savvy friends, it’s been deemed safe. However, please use your own judgment and research unknown programs before downloading them!
--YouTube Artists--
Akihito Yoshitomi - A manga artist that shows their entire process, from sketching thumbnails to inking and finalizing tones. Often posts sketchbook drawings.
Jenna Drawing - A lovely artist that shows their progression over the years. Beautiful style.
Kaiteki ART - A wonderful watercolor artist who works with all kinds of interesting water based ink.
おてだま/ Otedama Art - Uses all kinds of mediums with beautiful results on every one.
The Art of Aaron Blaise - An animator that has worked for Disney in the past, who makes animation tutorials and often live streams his animation process. Has lots of amazing tips to give.
Proko - Has TONS of art tutorials, and brings on many different kinds of artists that give their own tips and classes. Can be anything from figure drawing, to environmental rendering. Has tutorials on the barebones basics of art and how to get started too. If you can draw a triangle, square, and a circle, then you’re on the road to success.
A standalone video that shows how to draw from a reference, and how to see where your flaws are.
A huge tutorial on Low Poly Modeling in Blender. Very long video but great for beginners.
50 Quick Tips and How to draw FAST - both have lots of tips for using Clip Studio Paint.
--Useful Tips--
Blender and ZBrushCoreMini are free 3D modeling programs.  Krita is a free paint and animation program. Clip Studio Paint often has sales at half their regular price (I got mine for $25USD). Also has a free trial option. Worth every penny in my opinion.
Can’t figure out how to draw a background, or need a quick background sketch? Open up a photo in Clip Studio Paint if you have it, go to Filter > Effect > Artistic, and play with the sliders to your hearts content. Ta da, quick background.
Take photos of yourself in a pose, or use a mirror if you have to. Sometimes you don’t realize a pose is impossible or unnatural until you try it yourself.
When you go out, take photos of scenery! You have free references then. Just don’t take or use photos of other people unless you ask for their permission first.
I have many more useful images on My Pinterest that I try to keep updated, including color schemes, writing tips, clothing, tutorials, and a little bit of humor.
And remember, it is okay to use references.

ROUND 1 / SIDE B / POLL 11
Tumblr media
Patience (@cherry-spot / @cherryspotart) vs. Valerie Wester (@toa-arania)
Patience info:
Description: Born as one of the truest forms of the fire element, Patience represents the virtue of her namesake and is the self-declared leader of the high court of heaven. She's roughly the age of the universe, is married to the virtue Humanitas, and has one daughter named Melodia. She's regarded as a kind, selfless leader, but only to the ones she tries to save face for - the truth would come from her family and the other gods of the realms.
She yearns for heaven to be a perfect paradise, with only the most worthy of holy beings enjoying the realm. She often "encourages" her siblings and the other virtues to be equally perfect, not wanting them to dare be a bad influence or role model for the citizens.
Most of her lore is honestly in her crimes, but her influence can be found throughout the story. From the people she drives away, to the ones she actively seeks out to harm, there's a lingering stain of the damaging grasp she holds on the divine beings of the realms. Her formal introduction in the story, though, ends up being the beginning of her downfall as her victims are done with putting up with her awful treatment.
Crimes:
Is an overall asshole to demons, pushing propaganda that they're horrible beings no matter what Pushed away her little sister, Thena, to the point of Thena running away to hell and soon hopping universes as a whole, and when Patience went to look for her and found out she had a demon lover, she disowned her Encourages fire other sister, Tempy, to be an absolutely perfect role model of heaven, convincing her that her husband cheating on her was her own fault so she "could improve" Convinced her brother, Mili, to be heaven's executioner when they do NOT enjoy that job at ALL Back to Tempy; when her husband, Karit, cheated on her, Patience worked out an elaborate scheme with Mili to frame him and his mistress, Ria, for the "murder" of Tempy's understudy so fi could banish Karit and Ria from heaven Tempy's understudy wasn't even actually murdered, Patience just shoved her in a magic stone because fi felt she was not acting up-to-par for the role Has shoved many other people and demons into magic stones, some of them she just…""forgets about"", leaving them there for hundreds of years Got a (fellow demon-hating) cult leader to be fire own understudy Nearly had the god of gluttony, Gula, killed as his brother Ira was trying to convince Patience to let demons into heaven Fi thinks everything fi does is for the good of heaven, wanting nothing but a perfect, holy experience for all the citizens (fi doesn't understand why the reapers, essentially the higher beings, practically disowned fire)
Other notes from the submitter: My premade propaganda (/j): My friends are often split on calling her either the worst being in existence, or desire her carnally so have fun with that
Valerie Wester info:
Description: A witch living in midwestern america and doing a combination of high-school antics, cursing anyone who remotely slights her, and (sort of) helping some people solve mysteries. She grows Fun Plants (deadly poisons) and comes from an enormous family of people who are also completely unhinged.
Crimes:
Constantly stealing personal possessions to use in curses (the more sentimental the better) Breaking and entering to abandoned building sites, locked areas of her school, and occasionally people's houses to either steal things or hook up with people Actively interfering in her ex's current relationship (initially just by cursing him to look like he copied her hair, but she is now actively plotting to give him long-lasting attachment issues) That one time she killed a guy with poison and the various times she's used smaller amounts to make people sick Also that one time she made herself throw up so she could get out of a thing she didn't want to do. Instead of going to see the school nurse, she broke into a classroom to steal things Liberal use of what she calls "The Migraine Spell" Cursing half the school to see terrifying demonic visions, triggering the ptsd of an ex-infernalist and traumatising multiple other people General lack of ethical consideration when spellcasting and refusal to apologise if it goes wonky and causes problems Publicly accusing someone of running a cult and of trying to kill her as a way of flirting, and genuinely enjoying plotting the systematic social dismemberment of this person who, to be fair, did actually try to kill her (not as a flirt, though, that's just Val projecting) Agreeing with a friend to lie to all of the other ones so that said friend can get his back blown out Using magic to spy on her friends so she and another witch friend could read a book about elder gods Allowing someone to think he's being haunted because it's funnier than telling him the other witch is fucking with him Plotting with the other witch to try to outsmart the literal god of knowledge, trickery and magic Wielding the fact that she's useful to forcibly extract permission to Continue Causing Problems Frequently excusing any and all of her fuck-ups by saying that "we learnt something new in the process" Just so much fucking hubris
Other notes from the submitter: I have played Val for a total of three sessions so far and not only has she managed to do all this shit in that time, but I have already trained all of the other players to be scared whenever she uses the word "fascinating" because it signifies the impending arrival of a Val Moment.

What’s a good site do you recommend for a first time webcomic maker to use? If you are okay with me asking?
I dunno what person wouldn't be okay with suggesting helpful art stuff BUT I would recommend Comicfury. I used to use Smackjeeves before it shut down but Comicfury is a good alternative and works similarly and I'd say it's easier on beginners for many reasons:
Ability to customize your comic site. You need to know some coding of course but there's some premade templates so you can just focus on posting pages if that ain't up your alley. I know plenty of good comics that have default templates on.
You can post page-by-page or scrolling format for your comic. Webtoons and Tapas prefer scrolling formats but Comicfury let's you get flexible with things
You can moderate comments and delete ones you don't like. Might not sound like much but I've learned people say all sorts of stuff sometimes. You can also turn the reader ratings of your comic off so you don't have to worry about how high a rating your blood sweat and tears got.
From my experience with Comicfury, it's a lot more laid back compared to the fast pace of Webtoons. Which helps a lot at determining your own pace for your comic so you don't overwork to meet a crazy deadline because you think you need to update EVERY week.
One HUGE pro of Comicfury is you don't have to worry about a lot of censorship. I dunno bout Tapas (I forget I have it sometimes tbh) but Webtoons is very picky about certain content, especially violence and intimacy. I've heard they aren't big on swearing either. I would recommend reading up on guidelines yourself if you choose to use Webtoons but Comicfury just let's you select whatever content you wanna add a warning for and go. You can also go back at any time and edit the content warnings based on how your story developes.
Everyone gets a chance at the front page. Comicfury's front page is set by default to show a list of recently updated comics. Which is extremely good when it comes to getting new readers versus how other sites only have the super popular ones and then you have to scroll to see the smaller ones. So if you happen to update your comic, it'll be first in the list and slowly move down as other people update. I honestly love it and have found some interesting webcomics through just looking at the front page.
Lastly, there's no advertisements. When people go to your comic, it's just your comic.
Comicfury isn't as popular as the big boys so you'll have to deal with a small subscriber count and slow growth if you're aiming to be the next top model webcomic but for a spot to call home for a passion project, I would give it a 10/10

Rules
Patience is key. I do this on my own free time for you guys. I understand not everyone knows how to use photoshop bor how to code. So, we editors are happy to help you with that. However, we aren't here to be your slave. We do have lives outside of here and I'm sure most of us have roleplay pages where we write. So,as said above patience is a virtue. Also, do not befriend me to get edits. I've had this happen the past and honestly, it sucks having someone claim to be a friend just to get what they want out of the deal. I do not mind editing for friends but when I tell someone the muse is not there and they stop talking to me that tells me something. I do not mind making friends through this page if it's for the right reasons.
Do not edit over my creations. If there is something specific you want please let me know. I don't mind you tagging on your own. But that's all that you are allowed to do to my edits. However, do not ask another editor to tag my edits for you. I also will not tag edits that are in the premade section. They are there for everyone. That's why it's in that section. If you want a personalized edit tagged then you will have to put in a personal request, (If they are open at the time.)
I do offer both free and paid custom work.. I accept payment through cashapp and paypal.
Free Custom work will only be granted once per month to give everyone a chance to get one in. ( I will only be doing free custom work on edits.) You can request from multiple pages more than once a month. However, only once that month from  the same page. Due to real-life being so busy at times it may take me a bit to get to your requests. Please let me know if you change anything about your request or character details you filled out the  form with. If you do this after I have completed and/ or sent your edit then I will not make the changes.  If you send multiple requests during a month time period from the same account, your request will be denied.
If I send your request and there's something wrong please don't hesitate to let me know. If it's my mistake I will fix it with no problem.
Do not claim edits, layouts, etc as your own. Also comment on everything you take, if you have not commented the blog and using something you will be messaged asking to give proper credit. You must have us added to use my content, on the page you are using it on. I don't care if you liked/ reblogged on tumblr and decided to use it here. The rules are simply that if you're using my content on this site you must have us added, and if you’re in the server let me know what you’re using. No Exceptions! While we are on the subject, leave my premades and personal requests that are made for you on public with a credit in the caption. I  do not care how you credit me as long as you do it.
Also, do not merge my coding with coding of other editors, you can merge my coding from different layouts of mine. However, do not remove the credit. It's still my coding and layout. Just because you switched it around to make it look different does not make it yours.
I do take suggestions. However, I do not take free requests for layouts. I will take suggestions for layouts. If you want a custom layout you'll have to order custom work from me.
I will only edit faceclaims with high-quality pictures. I will rarely do Instagram models or faceclaims that only have an Instagram for the sake of pictures. I will do them if I can make the pictures work. However, if I can't then I will refuse to do so.
With Custom work, I will accept payment once your order is completed. I will send you a sample/ preview and once things are confirmed by you that it's to your liking I will then ask for payment before I send you the finished product. Once I receive your payment your order will be sent to you in its entirety. Once you confirm your order is to your liking and you are satisfied with it no refundswill be given. In fact, refunds aren't even a subject of conversation considering I don't ask for payment until after you confirm you're satisfied with your order so there should be no reason that you are asking for once in the first place.

Family Heritage BIG6 Lesson-Multiple Days
By Tara Hargrove
 Planning
The goal of this particular lesson is for students to learn a bit more about their heritage and background while using the BIG6. The students will go through the BIG6 research model (see attached power point) with their task definition being to learn more about their heritage. Their final product for step 5 (synthesis) is to create a float of one of the countries their ancestors are from that they researched. Great to do with 4th-6th grade. This is a collaborative type of lesson. The librarian’s contribution is to supply the resources (read aloud, sources used for searching and supplies for miniature parade floats).
 Promotion
You will begin by reading the book, Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet to introduce to them how the Macy’s Day Parade begin and how the props showed off different countries that the immigrants who lived in New York were from. This will hook the students as well as help them understand what immigrants are and how we all came to be in America and be called Americans. The fun part about this is the creating of the floats (which is the promotion part).
Preparations
You will need to have pages created for students to possibly interview family members on. Questions such as Who was the first to travel to America in the family? When did they come? Why did they choose to leave their home country of ________?  Students can also draw a family tree and fill in the gaps they know with the help from their parents and grandparents. A pathfinder or student source sheet (see attached example) should be created to help students find informational sites on different cultures and customs. Once students have found a couple of countries their family originates from, they will answer some basic questions about these countries. Once students have done this, they are ready to pick ONE country to make their float over. Supplies will be needed (art supplies) for students to be creative with. Once students have created their small floats (small, not life size) they can parade through the school with their floats, showing off their heritage.
Procedures
Students will first interview one or more family member.
Then students will draw a family tree.
Next students will find out some facts about one to two of the countries their family is from.
They will then narrow it down to one country to create a small parade float over.
Students will create their floats.
Either display floats for others to see or do a parade through the school or cafeteria with their floats in hand.
This may take a week total with spending 30-45 minutes a day on it.
Payoff
This is a fun way to get students excited about their heritage. The book itself really opens students up to how biographies aren’t always thick books with lots of words and how biographies can be fun and exciting and can apply to their own lives. When students see how much fun reading and learning about something that relates to them by a simple and interesting picture book biography, they will want to read more!
***Modifications to make it simpler due to time restraints or younger students:
You can call this Cultural Mini Parade Floats. Read the book, Balloons Over Broadway and still have the discussion with them. Let students choose a country from a premade list (by the librarian) and have students create a mini float over that country. You could have books pulled for each country already and that would be their source of information. This would cut down on time.

What To Do With Cremation Ashes: Understanding Cremation
Tumblr media
With the environmental impacts of cemeteries becoming well known and people beginning to consider cremation more often, you may be wondering what exactly cremation entails. What are cremation ashes made of? What can you do with human ashes after cremation?
We’re going to answer the most popular questions we get asked, so that hopefully you can make the best choice for you and your loved ones.
What are cremation ashes?
Cremation ashes, also known as ‘human ashes’ or even ‘cremains’, are the resulting product of cremation: an alternate to traditional casket-burials that involves burning and storing the ashes of the deceased. Much like regular ash, cremation ashes are grey-ish white, however they tend to have a coarse, almost sand-like texture.
What are cremation ashes made of?
Human ashes are made of incinerated bone fragments. The exact composition of the ashes depends on the individual’s weight, diet, age and genetic make-up; however, most people will have a chemical signature made up of calcium phosphate as well as some other salts and minerals.
Cremated ashes aren’t made of organs, tissue or water as these components of the body are incinerated by the heat. While body modifications such as implants or metal fillings/surgical devices may remain after cremation, these are taken out of the ashes.
Although the body is cremated inside of the coffin, the high heats of crematorium furnaces mean that the coffins are completely incinerated and aren’t part of the final cremains.
How are cremation ashes made?
Human ashes are made through cremation. This process is generally conducted by a crematorium, who will prepare and burn the body for a fee (we aren’t a crematorium, although we do have partners we can recommend to you). After checking to make sure any incompatible materials (such as pacemakers) are removed, the body, secure inside a flammable coffin, is placed in the crematorium furnace. Only one body is placed in the furnace at a time. Crematorium furnace temperatures reach 800-1000 degrees Celsius, with the process taking roughly 1-4 hours depending on the size of the body and furnace model. The ashes are then taken to be cooled and sorted for any metal remains. Afterwards, the ashes are returned to the family so they can decide how to honour them.
What to do with cremation ashes?
Depending on the wishes or your loved one and family, there are many things you can do with cremation ashes to honour your loved ones. We’ve compiled 5 popular choices below:
Scatter them
One of the most common things to do with human ashes is to scatter them over a place that holds significance to your loved one. Whether it be in their garden, over the ocean or even from a plane, there are plenty of options to choose from. However, there are a few things to consider before choosing this option; To start, it is important to get permission from any landowners if you intend to scatter ashes over private property. Similarly, boat or plane owners should be advised if you want to scatter ashes while employing their service. It is also crucial to check with local environment guidelines to ensure that you won’t damage the environment in the process.
Keep them in an Urn
This more traditional way of keeping ashes allows you to return to and visit your loved one much like a regular gravestone would. You can choose to house them at certain funeral sites or alternatively keep them in your home with your family. Urns are a great option as they are highly customisable; They can be made specifically for your loved one, with many options for material, colour, shape, and even engravings. Alternatively, funeral homes often offer premade urns that can be cheaper while still meeting your individual needs.
Bury them
Much like traditional remains, cremated ashes can also be buried. They are most often buried within an urn. Burial locations could include private property, urn burial sites or even in a mausoleum. As a benefit, generally these burials cost less than traditional ones, but, cremated ashes are highly alkaline and are therefore harmful to the environment.
Make something from them
A variety of services exist to create memorable ways to use ashes. From jewellery to fireworks or even tattoo ink, there is something just right for everyone. Most services focus on one type of product, so do your research and find someone that suits your individual needs.
Infuse them with a tree
Nature is comforting to many, especially when we are processing grief. At Mornington Green, we birth new life from loss by planting Living Legacy Trees into ash-infused soil, allowing your loved one to live on as a tree. Not only is this process environmentally friendly, but families are able to personalise the way they honour the deceased by choosing from a variety of trees with different personalities and symbolism.
Larger trees can be used for couples or even families, and ashes can be infused later than the initial planting, meaning that you have the option to be buried with your loved one even if you pass at different times.
We hope you have learnt a little more about cremation ashes. If you are interested in learning more about Living Legacy Trees, these are some of the many trees in Melbourne that you can choose from.
With the environmental impacts of cemeteries becoming well known and people beginning to consider cremation more often, you may be wondering what exactly cremation entails. We’re going to answer the most popular questions we get asked, so that hopefully you can make the best choice for you and your loved ones.

… Alright, sure , that definitely doesn’t sound like hijinks. Maybe tomfoolery? No, no, would mischief work? No, what am I thinking? Those words are for enjoyable things, and what you do, definitely doesn’t fall underneath ‘enjoyable’… unless ya like doing tasks and dealing with trouble. Met some folks like that before, but they’re usually completely focused on their job of assignments and such 24/7. And ya? Don’t really fit that bill, at least, from what I seen.
Don’t use that word, competent, to describe your cooking. If ya meals are ‘perfectly seasoned’ and ‘cooked evenly’, then make it seem like that. Competent paints the idea of… like, a wet hamburger, or- barely heated chicken patties that were premade in some- run-down factory off in the middle of nowhere.
… Heh. I guess I should’ve seen those coming. The three S’s to being a sailor. Or well, four S’s if you include sword-fighting.
Scale models. Scale models… like those Legos bricks, right? Ah, wait, no- No, that- that came out wrong. Ahem, I mean ‘like Legos’ as in… the satisfaction of creating something out of a whole bunch of little somethings.
I have a friend once, complete Lego worshiper, and he told me his story behind how he came to love building those sets. It was… a strange experience, to say the least- Anyway, what I’m trying to ask is what your reason as to why you took up miniatures, be it simple or not… oh, and is there a reason as to why you look ashamed about it?
(Many thanks to you! I should be done in like, around two months, since I don’t have much time to fiddle around with this stuff. You’re welcome for the questions. After lurking on this site for a while, and seeing the many accounts on it, I decided to bite the bullet and send you an ask. You’re a great writer, and I hope you’re able to get even more people to Temperance. Also sorry for such long asks as well, I get a bit carried away- )
Father above, this one sure does talk a lot! Not that Temperance would voice that. And...Hell, maybe a small part of him would admit liking it, balances out his usual reticence.
"...My enjoyment of my work or not is...Irrelevant. I would rather not talk about that anymore though.
Tumblr media
"And...Sorry...? For downplaying my skill with cooking. I suppose. Modesty is something that has rubbed off on me, thanks to a...Friend.
"And I suppose sailing involves a lot of S words...Though I would debate the necessity of singing in it all."
He tries not to think too much about the whole rant about...Legos, latching onto one particular line.
"...Yes, there is something satisfying about creating like that. Captures things in a portable fashion but in a way where you can change your view of it at any time, reach out and feel it's make...
"It's also involves a lot of carefulness and precision, times where it's a careful balancing act between being gentle and firm...Ah, but when it comes together, it's...!"
He begins to smile a little as he speaks of it, a bit of energy and life seeping into his words. But...He catches himself, clearing his throat.
"Ahem...But. It's just something to pass the time, that's all.
"I only keep it secret because it...Conflicts with my reputation. I'm the Tempered Blade, after all."
