I have a personal headcanon that traditionally, pureblooded Sith children are raised pretty much gender neutral. When and if a child starts expressing some sort of gender inclination, then that’s how they’re treated, no questions asked.
Purebloods have never really struck me as all that fussed about gender overall. And I think this would bleed out into how they view other species as well, just - not really placing much import on anyone else’s gender either.
Obviously bloodlines are rather important to purebloods, so biological sex is certainly taken into consideration when it comes to continuing a family’s bloodline, but often it’s more a matter of convenience than anything else. And science being what it is in the Star Wars universe, there are certainly ways to get around any biological incompatibilities when it comes to procreation.
I just think that purebloods would rather be placing priority on raising their kids to be powerful and cunning and all those good traits than to be worrying about things like gender and what’s in someone’s pants.
(Also despite what SWTOR says I think pureblood features like types of facial spurs and browstalks and chintacles are just universal and not tied to biological sex, fight me)

Next one's done! Expect the rest to take a little while because the flats aren't done and Dawntrail just came out and Pictomancer has a hold on me. :')
Sosûtaus- The Right-handed God (Right in High Sith, nabbed from the Coruscant Translator website) “Ir natura zo tihtasa ir kûts zo dratsari chwûq.” (In life a spark in death a blazing ember.)
Sosûtaus is the shepherd of dead souls, and the guardian of the Sith afterlife. Once one dies, they are given by Typhojem over to their counterpart. There is no one idea of the afterlife decided on by Sith, and as such they bury the dead with a weapon and other things they may need to survive whatever they may face. Though all believe that once in the hands of Sosûtaus they are safe, as they are the one who protects and provides for those who broke their chains in life and shall be honored in death. The brave, the strong, the powerful, the passionate, the clever, the free. Typhojem and Sosûtaus are considered the highest of beings in the pantheon and are often depicted to the right and left hand of the Sith kings and emperors in artworks even to this day. They are teachers and guides to both gods and mortals.
Note: The Kittât script on the sword may or may not be accurate. I messed up on some of these after putting it through Coruscant Translator and me trying to figure out the lettering. I’ll be posting an image with the fully accurate scripts on all of them later!

Lana: I won't apologise for being right! Saarai: 😡😡😡 Lana: Saarai: APOLOGISE.
Lana: *immediately apologises*
Your girlfriend won't let your pride get you out of this one, Lana /lh You're welcome, Theron.
(also gtfo of here if you think Lana's evil for making a mistake when Theron makes one that at the very least is ON PAR with this if not WORSE because he actually DID almost kill TWO people. I'm not saying Theron's evil for making a mistake either but my point is people are people and they ALL make mistakes, if you're gonna demonise Lana but expect people to not be mad at YOUR blorbo for fucking up in the EXACT same way several expacs down the line then you're a fucking hypocrite and yes, I will die on this hill I'm sick of that bullshit. Start shit in my notes because I've said this and you will be insta-blocked I am not joking.)
That aside I genuinely do really like this interaction. I see a lot of people poo-poo Lana's stubbornness here but I feel like its authentic given that this is still the VERY early days of what will eventually become the Alliance. Yes Lana and Theron consider eachother as friends but like....stereotypes still exist on both sides and realistically, they haven't known eachother for long enough at this point to NEVER mess up and butt heads and I feel like this interaction very nicely shows that. Lana sees just the results of the mission and didn't stop to think "hey maybe I should ask Theron if he's okay with this", Theron (rightfully) wants an apology but at this time as far as Lana is considered she didn't do anything wrong (important distinction here, as well. NOT "she didn't do anything wrong uwu" but "she thinks she didn't do anything wrong") BUT she's also not too proud to actually apologise when Rai pipes up and says "yeah actually, that wasn't nice. Apologise or I will be mad at you until you do".
I just think it's neat. It's not just the "lower down" members of the de-facto Alliance that struggle and butt heads, Lana and Theron do it too. Theron and an Imperial PC might butt heads often. The Warrior and/or Inquisitor might have problems with Satele, vice versa for the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior...there's so much potential for various dynamics here and I don't think it gets outwardly acknowledged as much as it could be.

GORETOBER Day 26: Cannibalism
Tenebrae was a formal cannibal. He used to eat the flesh of his own kind during his years on Nathema. Once he achieve immortality he no longer needed to eat flesh. And no he didn’t eat flesh cause he was poor he just did it because he like the taste.

I'm rereading time in the hourless houses, and was struck by the similarities you've used in arcana regarding the Sith languages and how they don't have traditional endearments. Is this something you have created from a head canon, or is there a whole lot of lore about the Sith languages I'm not aware of? I mean. The level of lore in SW is intimidating but... I dunno. I just love that you have found a way to make something that seems so like, self centred and unable to care for others work so well for characters who ache to the core with how much they do care. It's neat.
... I'm also just loving the explorations of Xanatos and Granta a whole bunch with the sliding scale of functional relationships they're in across your fics. It's also very neat lol
I have a great number of feelings about how different Xanatos would be in Dark Side-version vs. wandered back to the light version, and how that would change his whole relationship with Granta, and the weight of his Dark-fueled obsession on his family, and just. All of ti.
As for the Sith language, that's just a headcanon, but if I manage to wring out an interesting thought that I think fits as far as world-building goes, I try to keep it around. The story of the pureblood Sith species and the Exiles fascinates me tbh - Sith culture before them wasn't particularly nice, but to have a handful of outsiders take over and turn their whole culture into one massive religion worshiping pain and suffering is such a horrifying thought. I can't help but wonder about all the changes that happened to them, particularly when the new Sith Lords started using the Sith people's language and writing as a basis for literal evil magic.
Anyway. Sith pureblood character in canon (outside video games) when??

“...After Moff Xerxian failed to quell an uprising on the Imperial-conquered world of Sullust, the man was summoned to a private audience with Darth Marr. After the meeting, Xerxian dictated a letter of resignation and shot himself, leading to many rumors about what had happened. The most predominant one was that the Sith Lord had removed his mask and allowed Xerxian to view his supposedly ruined face.”
Merry Chistmas y’all, I’m back with a drawing I made while hiding from my family these festive holidays. I’m also trying to download SWTOR on my laptop and it’s stuck about 60% of the way through. Hopefully I shall play again!
Decided to re-do the headcanon I have for Darth Marr’s face, I’m ignoring the wookieepedia part that says he’s a Human because I find Sith Pureblood characters to be in short supply on the Dark Council, they should be everywhere with their elitism. Also I think they’re neat. Also I think that lightsaber scars should be more common and horrifying because a weapon that cauterises your face immediately should be terrifying to go against- and if Marr supposedly has a ruined face enough to spark such a rumour, it gotta be horrifying. Also I think they’re neat.
Also massive thanks to @nusaran for helping me figure out what I was doing with the scar colouration, I was stuck on it for ages!!!!!

What backstory do you imagine for your Jadus?
thank you for the ask, anon. I wasn't sure whether to answer this or not after my self-doubt with my creativity.
but, I want to remind and emphasises that my version of Jadus are strictly canon divergent. some elements from canon ingame are also adopted into mines. but I'm afraid my ideas for characters are.... underwhelmingly undeveloped.
my design of Jadus (unmasked & masked). she/her and they/them pronouns.
Tumblr media
Jadus is is half pureblood, half zeltron. Born as a legitimate and middle child to the Sith Emperor and an unnamed Zeltron bride. Their mother, alongside with two other brides, was unknowingly killed when they were a child. This makes Jadus one of the three Heirs with royalty blood but their gender was hidden from society (except Marr and Ania).
Jadus is also a (Force) Vampire. (rather than Eldritch horror being, sorry guys, I really tried but nothing screams out to me based on my preferences on what I looked for).
worth mentioning to above as a Vampire that one of their darkest ability was to force to drain the energy out of their opponent to channel their power or force them to feel exhausted and summon the shadow tendrils to restrain their opponents.
I headcanon them being a mixture of both Assassin and Sorcerer wielding double bladed lightsaber and mastering the skills of stealth, teleporting and shadow essences.
Spent their childhood and early adolescent years on Nathema. Why? Because dear old father fears them more than their sisters. The Sith Emperor was deeply afraid of their immense powers for a reason. It was revealed by the Servants that Jadus was considered the strongest Sith.
Jadus had more claim on the throne than their older sister, which caused a rift between Acina and Jadus as the two did not get along. Lachesis had tried, and again, get them to cooperate so they can dethrone their father altogether but Jadus knew better despite their claims they were not loyal to their father.
Their time on Nathema while growng up was... not pleasant. They were a victim of being subjected to tortures and abuse by Sith Overseers and zealots. There was implications that Jadus had killed a few of them after tapping into their dark powers.
A Sith oracle oversaw their trainings and encouraged them to embrace the darkness. Though, the only reason they had a pale skintone was due to the dark side corruption and exposure to Nathema's horrors, which had also enchanced their powers.
Transitioned with a top surgery before they became Darth Jadus.
Met Marr on the Sith Fortress while completeling their trainings. They two sorta became acquainted and known each others' identity.
Fast forward couple of years, Jadus had worked from within the shadows, favouring their time and attention on Intelligence. The Head of Imperial Intelligence had taken an interest in Jadus and choose them as their assistant. There, Jadus began to slowly plot and scheme against their father and his loyalists.
They ignored the suitors asking for their hand in marriage. Jadus killed them as the result of it. Though, many civilains and Siths were skeptical whether Jadus was married or not rumours despite Acina and Lachesis were married. // this was something I'm still debating about. if so, Jadus would had been put through Force Marriage by the Sith Emperor's doing by having the Dark Councillor for Imperial Intelligence as their spouse. Jadus was peeved about this. Though, the marriage was short lived.
Before Sacking of Coruscant, Jadus was approached by Overseer Ragate about a Sith tomb promising secrets and visions. Out of curiousity, Jadus went to seek out the tomb within the Korriban wilds. They soaked themselves in a bloodbath and received a vision that foretold them of a future that they claimed the Sith throne with a young sith hybrid agent with red hair by side supporting their ideals and goals to change the Empire.
Around the same time as Treaty of Coruscant formed and when Ania got accepted into Intelligence academy, Jadus poisoned the Dark Councillor, who was loyal to the Sith Emperor, and ascended a seat to the Dark Council. At this time, Jadus was distant with the Dark Council while also searching for the agent they saw in their vision.
five or seven years later, varying on my timeline revision, Jadus finally found Ania, being a new member of the Intelligence and analyise her, they secretly began to hand out assignments to Keeper reserved for her before they can meet her properly.
one of their hobbies was to attend Sith Opera and/or masquerade ball as a pasttime. They found.... comfort in it. we can't explain why.
cue the snippets I've written so far. Jadus became the tertiary main character of Imperial Agent and one of the legacy's main characters.
end. // this is as far i have got for them and my brain is mush on other details i'm missing.
... i hope this does the ask justice on the backstory I imagine for my Jadus. (sweats anxiously)

Hello who wants to hear my personal headcanon on romantic relationships and marriage in the Empire that I will be utilizing in my writing?
No? Yes? Too bad because you're going to hear it anyway! (it's not long and I'll probably expand on it in the future.)
The Empire, as a whole, tends to be monogamous, with a preference for heterosexual relationships the higher the class due to the desire to continue bloodlines. Of course, there will always be outliers to that, but in general, that's the preference. Marriage isn't romance in the Empire, it's a transactional deal between two parties.
Where monogamy goes out the window, though, is with high ranking Sith, such as "almost-to-Darth" lords and Darths themselves. They have a main spouse, typically of the opposite gender, who is the person they reproduce with to create an heir and continue the bloodline. Within Sith pureblood circles, this can create some genetic overlap in relations in order to keep the bloodline pure. Alongside their main spouse, the Sith can have concubine-type spouses as well, not as elevated as the main spouse, but still considered to be that sith lord/Darth's and having been a transactional agreement between them and the lower spouse's family.
There was more in my head but I need to do stuff and wanted to get this put out there.

Going on ahead and posting the first of the Sith Gods!
Typhojem- The Left-handed God (Only god listed on Wookiepedia and in lore and the one that started this whole lore document shenanigans. :'D) “Hadzuska diâ ssra tuti hi wunasi mnirdaka iw diami.” (Shadow and shade be they solemn oath of guidance.) Typhojem is considered the guardian of those who remain in the living world. The ones who live and fight for existance, following their passions and gaining strength. They guide souls to the guardian of the afterlife, but never step into that realm themsleves.
Note: The Kittât script on the sword may or may not be accurate. I messed up on some of these after putting it through Coruscant Translator and me trying to figure out the lettering. I'll be posting an image with the fully accurate scripts on all of them later!

Bongoverse AU Bounty Hunters & Jedi OCs
A collection of OC bounty hunters & Jedi I plan on featuring in the Bongoverse fic.
In no particular order:
Arya Rook: Shistavanen Mandalorian bounty hunter, also a Jedi Knight who used be a Padawan of the Old Order.
Jiva Desh: Thakwaash heavy weapons specialist bounty hunter, married to Athiya Desh, 2.75 meters tall. A walking armory, goes out on the job energy shields-only. Muscular semi-cyborg full of fun & sexual confidence. Space Insta celeb (streams while on the job), slightly airheaded.
Athiya Desh: Talortai melee specialist bounty hunter. 2.03 meters tall Murder Birb. Dual-wields vibrosword . Married to Jiva, extremely High Class, 100% of Jiva's impulse control, definitely Force-sensitive but Does Not Use It due to Talortai cultural traditions.
Had-A-Name-For-Him-But-I-Can't-Find-It: male Ssi-ruu ex-bounty hunter/current GFFA SPECTR (SPecial Counter-Terrorism & Reconnaissance), basically Commander Shepard as a dino-man, related to Admiral Ivpikkis from Truce at Bakura.
Rip Tamson: male Karkarodon knife nut bounty hunter/eventual Jedi Knight; related to Riff Tamson from the Clone Wars (hates being confused for him). Has a tail because I headcanon Karkarodons have them (they look better that way).
Epona Delwesh: female Thakwaash ex-hunter turned Jedi Knight, user of a lightclub.
Iosunko'vu Kass/Iosun Kass: Mandalorian Rutian Twi'lek bounty hunter. Giant blue beef brick wearing heavy infantry armor. Married to Kuryai, sometimes does Organized Crime Things. Favors ballistic weapons over lasers for 9/10 applications. Adopted like 6 Jedi Padawans that got lost once. He is their buir now. Mess with them, you die.
Kuryai Sudaex: Sith Pureblood ex-Jedi from an entire family of Purebloods who were all Jedi themselves. Kuryai himself is not good with a lightsaber or the Force. In response, he set himself up as a minor crime lord legitimate businessman on Coruscant. Also a giant beef brick, just red flavored. Sharp-dressed man with a space Tommy Gun. Slightly less thrilled about having 6 Jedi kids, at least at the start. Eventually is also firmly in the "mess with my adopted kids, you die" mode.

Strikhedonia - The pleasure of being able to say “to hell with it”. for an oc/pairing that you think would best suit the prompt - KH💙 (p.s. sorry for accidentally unfollowing you when trying to click on the 'ask' button 🤪)
(no worries and likewise I am SO SO SORRY that this took me two years to finish up I am horrified by that 😭🥺 I had a l o t of fun with this one even if it took me 5ever to transfer it from script to actual Prose so I hope it’s worth the wait and y’all enjoy!! <3) A/N:
This one is set just after > Kiss With A Fist <  so if you’re new and/or you don’t remember the kiss they’re arguing about, it’s in that oneshot! :D
Strikhedonia - noun. The pleasure of being able to say “to hell with it”. This one came from the “obscure word/definition” ask game a while back. Sadly far back enough that I do not have the link but ANYWAY its finally here yaaas!! The alternative title for this one is “How much Unresolved Sexual Tension can I fit into one Oneshot?” and the answer, I am happy to report, is “Yes”. XD
Wai Tarar = the official title/rank term for the Ahaszaai royals’ personal bodyguards, each Ahaszaai has a minimum of one, but more commonly between 2-3 ESPECIALLY for the current ruling Emperor(ess) and/or their heir(ess) ;)  It’s literally just High Sith for “Royal Protector” but it sounds so much more fancy in High Sith xP
Falling in love with your bodyguard is a little less scandalous when your father happens to think he Has Very Nice Genes, Actually, and This Could Work In Our Favour so "You know what, go ahead" XD in case anyone is wondering WHY Vastas doesn't care. Kissai's got Massassi blood in his line, and Grampy Ahaszaai thinks it'd be neat to get a little of that in the future grandkids 😉
No specific warnings for this one. Just two idiots very obviously in love, and - oh my god she’s done denying it? D’leah’s not playing hard to get anymore?? /lh XD You can also read on > AO3 < if you’d prefer the formatting there! :D
_______________________________________________________________
D'leah had been rather surprised to catch the eye of her Wai Tarar across the sea of other Sith Lords and Darths, decked out to their nines in glitz and glamour in the manner she would have well expected of the High Sith families that associated with her father. Of course, it was not a problem that he had come, as her principle protector it was almost certainly…encouraged that Kissai attend in order to stand guard for the Ahaszaai line during the festivities, he would not be the only Wai Tarar in the crowd. But the Sith heiress simply couldn't shake the realization that Kissai was not in his red armour, this time, but rather a suit of the more formal kind. It couldn't be….that he was here for her, surely?
On an impulse, she caught his eye as she wove her way through the crowd and headed for the nearby balcony, the cool night breeze stirring her cheeks as she stepped out of the stuffy palace ballroom. Leaning against the balustrade, she exhaled softly and waited, listening to the lilting notes of the classical music that drifted towards her through the open balcony door. Before long, the sound of carefully measured footfalls reached the heiress' ears, and she calmly turned to face him. She had nothing to fear from this man, she knew that much.
"Dance with me, my Lord?" He inquired, eyes bright with hope as he held a hand out towards her. The heiress' gaze lingered on his outstretched palm for a fraction too long, before finally darting up to meet his, the tips of her jaw spurs trembling. He cleaned up remarkably well, for a commoner…
Somehow, the fact that he had waited until she had beckoned him outside, away from the prying eyes of every kriffing Sith aristocrat in the Empire, to ask for her hand at all only made it *worse* for her. Damn it, his sister's right. You've got it BAD, D'leah.
Besides, nobody would see them out here, so what harm would one dance do? If he cared half as much as she liked to pretend that he did, D'leah knew her father would never have let her leave the palace with her guard in tow - Emperor Ahaszaai had eyes everywhere, and someone watching out for her at all times.
So, the heiress slid her hand delicately into his, the corners of her mouth twitching upwards into a faint half smirk as she purred teasingly. "You have nice manners, for an Outskirter~"
The taller Pureblood scoffed softly as she stepped into his grasp, his fangs flashing in a grin. "Last I checked, my Lord, your father was quite enamoured with my manners."
D'leah raised a browstalk in surprise. "Enamoured", huh? He'd taken to using a lot of big words around her of late…he really was trying to impress her, she was sure of it.
"I can't imagine why he would think that." She smirked back at him, bringing her other hand to rest on his shoulder, though she did have to pivot onto her toes ever so slightly. He was so tall...
They fell into a steady and well-balanced set of steps in time with the tempo of the music from the ballroom, and Kissai guided her into a twirl, humming softly under his breath. "Hmm. You know what I think?"
D'leah made a curious, prompting noise in the back of her throat, her breath almost catching when he effortlessly caught her out of the spin and dipped her down in time with the swell of the music. His hand was warm against the small of her back, even through the fabric of her evening gown, "you like it." the taller Pureblood breathed, a hint of a query to his tone still.
Kissai was right, she knew he was. But the Sith heiress wasn't quite ready to admit it just yet. She wanted him to work for it. She chuckled as nonchalantly as she could manage, allowing him to pull her upright and sweep her into the next set of steps. "Well, I think you’re a fool who is wholly overconfident in himself~"
The taller Pureblood's fangs flashed in a grin, and without thinking about it, he retorted cheekily. "That makes two of us, then, doesn't it, my Lord?"
The realisation dawned on his face as D'leah's arm snapped taut with the next step she took, the heiress' eyes fixing on him as she hissed sharply.
"And you have grown over comfortable being so casual with me, Izreni." It should have been a warning, and on her first reflex D'leah had meant for it to be one, but when the words actually came out of her mouth they sounded far more like a returning quip than she had intended. The Wai Tarar scoffed, indignant, and raised a browstalk at her as he protested: "You kissed me. If you wished for me to leave you alone, my Lord, you've done a very poor job in telling me so."
“I did.” she nodded, squashing the urge to smirk as he blinked at her in utter surprise that she had admitted to it, like a gizka caught in the headlights. D’leah drew in another deep breath to keep her composure, shutting her eyes for a moment as she reminded him, her voice far more amused than scathing. “And if I saw fit I could kill you where you stand for speaking to me that way.” “I know.” the Wai Tarar answered in much the same tone. She wasn’t quite sure how, but somehow their back-and-forth had deviated from their standard back-and-forth banter to become simply exchanges of facts they were both well aware of already. The heiress was losing, and she knew it. She shifted her weight onto the balls of her feet as they twirled again, and as she returned to his hold, he smirked and asked. “Then why are you out here with me, and not in there with the other High-born brats, my Lord?”
The Ahaszaai heiress opened her eyes to meet his gaze once more, willing her heart to stop skipping violently against her ribcage when she did. “They bore me.” she admitted at length, stepping closer to Kissai as the tempo of the music that floated out from the ballroom behind them began to slow. “You, on the other hand…” She felt his grip on her tighten, not by much, but enough that D’leah took note of it, and hummed wordlessly in response. It took a moment for the taller Sith’s brain to catch up with the rest of his senses, but when it did she watched the spurs against his jaw flex in anticipation. His voice grew husky as he muttered. “Darindz artsisasi ki, ctarzari…”
D’leah let out a sultry chuckle in retort. “Nu sarjia j’us kaisijas oi…”
His gaze flicked from hers, to the door behind them, reflexive panic written on his features clear as day. “What would your father say?” he floundered, as if forgetting he had just moments ago used an entirely contradictory argument when their dance had started. The Ahaszaai High Lady could no longer contain her own laughter, throwing her head back to cackle aloud and feeling the tips of his claws curl against her spine as she did so. “Do you believe he’d let his heiress wander off with any old vagabond who asked her for her arm? He knows exactly where I am.” D’leah raised a prompting browstalk at him. “If he didn’t like you, Izreni, he would not allow you anywhere near me.” much less anything else. And she knew that Kissai knew that just as well as she did.
“I see…” the Wai Tarar’s jaw spurs trembled, but still he daren’t move, nor had his hands travelled any lower in spite of her offering him an invitation to do so on a silver platter. Kissai was waiting for her to come to him. His self control was admirable, and oh so attractive....
Deciding to indulge him for the second time, the heiress stretched up on her toes to brush her lips ever so gently against his as she cooed softly. “Or are you scared, Kissai~?”
She felt, rather than heard, his breath hitch, and after a moment to compose himself he managed to get out the words, low enough that only D’leah would hear them. “Such thoughts are hardly proper in polite company, princess.”
“Ah, of course.” she grinned, a purr rumbling in her throat as she stepped out of his arms to take the taller Pureblood’s hand into hers instead. D’leah did not miss the low chuff of disappointment that he made as she moved away from him, but nonetheless released his grip on her obediently. Ever the gentleman, this one. As if to answer the unspoken question, the Ahaszaai heiress tugged on his hand, holding his gaze as she backed toward the balcony door to head back inside. “Come, let’s go inside. It’s getting cold out here.” To hell with it, doesn’t matter who sees us.
_______________________________________________________ High Sith translations: *canonically there is so little written about High Sith conlang that there aren't even proper contractions (like "I'm", "Don't" etc.) which is just...a huge oversight, to put it blankly. So I made my own contractions. At least it doesn’t sound like an unnecessarily and stupidly clunky language that way skhjslhdh
Darindz artsisasi ki, ctarzari…  - Don’t (from Dari “do” + nindz “not”) tease me, princess..
Nu sarjia j’us kaisijas oi…  - I thought you liked it...
That said, D’leah DOES on occasion not use contractions in Basic, particularly for things like “would not” (as in “would not allow you anywhere near me”) or “do not”. There’s no particular reason for this, she just decided it was a speech quirk of hers and keeps making me write it this way on occasion /lh 😜
