Aaaaand the newest problem in my diy six of crows spinoff script is… drumroll pleaseeee

No Per Haskell = no 20% cut = 5 million kruge each = no money for Rotty and Specht

So, in summary *screams*

Current plan: find a way to write Haskell back in, I’m thinking he brokered some kind of deal with Kaz to remain partially involved in the Dregs, therefore still making all of this possible and making it possible for him and the Dregs to still betray Kaz in Crooked Kingdom

Do we think this could work??

I feel like I keep promising you guys more script and then being like ‘oh wait, another delay’ but I promise as soon as I finish episode one it’s going up (I’m on scene eight, and scene eight is chapter 4. To be entirely fair part of chapter 4 was also in scene four but most of it is about to be in scene 8. I’m very bad at cutting things this script would be way too long for actual use lol)

I really do think this is the beginning of the end of Netflix book adaptations. What author is going to sign with Netflix over any of its competitors, knowing that they'll likely be cancelled early without closure? Or, even worse, that their story will be scripted but never made and the rights never sold on? Far better to accept a lower deal from a smaller streamer, but earn more publicity through more seasons and know that your story will be treated properly and see the light of day.

Calahan Skogman will never get to be in a scene with the rest of the Crows cast. We won’t get a scene onscreen with all six Crows. We won’t get the Ice Court Heist. We won’t get Inej’s backstory on screen. Amita won’t get to see her hard work finished, none of them will. We won’t get to see Wylan’s backstory on screen. We won’t get more of Inej and Nina’s friendship or Kaz and Jespers or Matthias interacting with the rest of the Crows.

These dedicated, phenomenal actors have been robbed. We’ve been robbed.

the fact that kaz and matthias are the only crows that have siblings does not get talked about enough. i mean, they are trying to pull off a high stakes group effort with four (4) only children in tow. no wonder the two of them are grumpy 24/7

Listen I’m slightly sleep deprived and generally my thoughts are untrustworthy in this situation, but what if we, the grishaverse fandom, tried to find a hacker and convince them to hack and release the scripts for the soc spinnoff from Netflix’s archives… like. Just a thought

I feel like focusing on a DR that i had forgotten about for this week. Like the while week its to find the love i once had for this DR again and spent rhis small time only focusing on this one.

The fun part is that most of these are also severely underscripted so part of the focusing would be on actually opening a doc for it. Most only have a Pinterest board, and Fate only has a Notes app basics begginings of a Script.

I think it will be good for me to take a break on obsessing over one of my main DRs and find joy in one of the smaller ones.

First la revolution then inside job then lockwood & co then shadow and bone now Schmigadoon and artful dodger probably will be too I'm done yall I cant deal with modern TV this is to much when you put your heart into a show only to have it ripped out from under you I'm to tired of falling on my butt I can't do this anymore its sad to say but I really don't see myself watching anymore shows that are not completed until they get their crap together

I also might repost from the start and actually break it down into scenes rather than just pieces if that makes it easier for everyone? And then I could make a master post with like to episodes and scenes so it’s easier to navigate. It’s broken down into scenes on my doc but I didn’t really organise it before I started posting because it was a bit spur of the moment haha

just have to say bc my soc brain rot is coming back with all the vengeance of kaz brekker after being overpowered by my toh hyper-fixation for too long: season 1 kaz brekker was severely lacking and did not at all resemble book kaz (I mostly blame the choice to blend sab with soc) but season 2 kaz brekker is superior to season 1 and it would be a shame not to see the character evolve and potentially become as close to book accurate as possible

It was a Six of Crows, a Shadow and Bone netflix show and a grishaverse DRs but i started felling kinda stupid with what was my Shadow and Bone DR so this one that was originally supposed to be just a Six of Crows following the books became netflix version DR.
