im just gonna put the shit ive said before in discord here and add some stuff. note that this is all just speculation built on top of canon material that was given, i just like overthinking and building on top of stuff :)

his behavior of trying to prove himself due to an inferiority complex is really emblematic of lack of sense of identity and necessity to do impulsive things to feel Something and feel fulfilled. he's regularly chasing this possibility of having a more stable, conceivable sense of self even though its self destructive, but thats no big deal, really

like there isnt 1:1 symptoms, but if you squint and focus on his behaviors and where they come from it can be similar to how someone with bpd can act and behave

he wants to prove himself and be respected by att, yet he avoids them and doesnt talk to them properly, leaving them be while fearing disappointing them lol

doesnt help that he actively dislikes "bothering" others and this is why he acts like that, it can be taken as abandoning others before they abandon you kinda behavior

his lack of understanding of others it can just leak into issues with empathy...

generally speaking you can tell hes quite depressed but is volatile, his behavior is considered unpredictable at times and all that is why he was given someone to look over him

you could make an argument for him being avoidant (which wouldnt be too far off) but ngl with his fixative behavior and his only proper relationship being unstable i can't help but see him as exhibiting bpd traits LOL

YES EXACTLY AND SO MUCH echo is used to talking to people that are annoyed 24/7 so she totally brushes off his more abrasive personality traits+has a bit of a 'awww little guy trying to be all serious' feeling towards him and pebbles is both in awe of echo's knowledge and annoyed at her silly swag but he still thinks shes very cool
