this tree from my new drawing looking goated afffffff 👑👑
#yes this is a nel/vas drawing get off me😂#text#i wanted everyone to see it but also since i draw on paper in total silence i think a lot about everything so i wanted to voice some -#- thoughts too's. tbh i've been veeery self indulgent lately#actually i'm happy that n*lv*s is getting actual hits out of me that i like looking at#especially on-paper stuff that i can recall being fun for me to draw. all traditional art is fun to draw#and digital has turned into an actual task for me (only sometimes tho maybe i;m lying.. mspaint we're still bffs)#i think i just don't see the joy in trying to scrap up a ''' finished ''' piece in an art program .. pencil i love you and i love the -#- feeling of it scratching along the paper....sigh............ Rabu#i don't want my blog or thoughts to turn into traditional art suck-off ventures bc ik not everyone can get into it for many possible -#- reasons but if u feel like it U can ok? do it for Pencil✏️ and for me? for silusvesuius? 𝖎 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖈𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚#but Lord i hope i don't also come off as one of those people that r like 'to improve in art just draw that one fictional character u -#- rly like 😂😂' bruh gtfo my face with that.#i'm noticing 'improvement' in my stuff mainly...i think... because i'm always striving to impress#not so much other people that are here just for my art but more so myself#i have a very huge ego (Mind Battle)#also it makes me sad to think about how big egos or genuine (not obnoxious) flauntiness are looked down on#and i can tell bc i used to look down on people that would express the things i'm expressing now#especially in art focused spaces. now i'd rather be in a circle of artists that love to J*rk off their own brain for it's ideas -#-and talent than be w/ very self-conscious artists that are never expressing pride about any of their work#worse if it's to the point where they actively start to fish for compliments bc of it#fishing for compliments is always OK i just wish it didn't stem from insecurity in that context if that makes sense#but maybe that's very easy for me to say and admit bc i did develop a very big ego around my art and ... Creativity? like it's a sims skill#not that i still don't seek out 'attention' or compliments from others to soothe myself but hmmmmmm i hope u feel me.#it just turns me into a very competitive person#who am i competing with? Myself#i'm always in 'you can do better Because you're YOU' mode#which is much better i believe than comparing yourself 2 other artists#i don't think a lot of people read my tag ramblings but if u do i wonder how one feels about a very pompous artist#like me .......(?)

True story: I followed you because I am so impressed with your service collie program. I think it's amazing what y'all have put together and would love to get a dog from you someday 😍
Aww thank you! We would love to provide you with one!
Story for a story,
My 12 1/2yr old smooth collie Lance was from this breeder's second litter of puppies! I'd applied to the service dog organization they were running at the time and was matched with Lance. Unfortunately due to health issues and a lack of volunteers able to step up the organization had to shut their doors but I was given the option to keep Lance and finish his training on my own.
A couple years later I found myself on an important committee with the breeder which started our friendship, and shortly after we revived the service dog organization, this time with me as Director of Client Services rather than as a client.
They had a few more litters of puppies and I offered to help with them, I did a bunch of dog sitting and house sitting for them, and now I'm considered part of the family, I'm the official kennel manager for the puppies, and they're building me a little cabin in their giant backyard!
Somehow I seem to be a fucking wizard when it comes to not only judging the puppies temperaments, but picking the best match for each person getting a dog from us.
The breeders and I all feel the same way when it comes to helping people get access to high quality service dog candidates. We want to make them as accessible as possible, and we want to do everything in our power to set the team up for success. That means ridiculously healthy dogs with ideal temperaments for service work and the best possible match to the handler. It means lots of early exposure work and building resilience, and ongoing access to my knowledge and advice on service dog training and advocacy.
Being disabled throws enough barriers at a person, we want to help remove some of the ones on the path to becoming an effective service dog team.
#lestweforget collies#i am so very proud I get to be part of this team#I've already learned about a new program to try with the next litter!#it helps them develop better emotional regulation skills#and makes them less prone to separation anxiety#according to a littermate study that was done#sounds promising and I'm excited to add it to the development plan!

At the risk of sounding on high horse, those of you who can't stomach politics but want to make change in the world, have you considered early childhood education?
It's definitely no picnic, low wages, lots of burnout. But!
You make such a difference in people's lives.
Children are mirrors that reflect their surroundings. If you show them love, compassion, kindness, and respect, it will come radiating out of them like the son.
I don't have children of my own (thank god), but I've laid the foundation for over one hundred and fifty kids to be good humans.
The first five years of life are some of the most important in a person's development.
( source: https://www.unicef.org/parenting/child-development/most-important-phase-life-class)
If you are sick and tired of grownups, kids are a breath of fresh air. Watching them work out conflicts, find solutions, overcome obstacles, is heartwarming. Now can my students be mean and nasty as hell? For sure! But we can learn from that. We talk about "it's okay to feel angry. It's not okay to hurt someone." and "You can ask for what you need, and people will help."
You don't have to go door to door, phonebanking, listen to NPR politics twice a day to make a difference in the future.
You can start small.
#teaching#early childhood education#early childhood development#kids#i just love my students a lot#and when older ones come back to visit me#even the ones who dont remember me#i know the effects are far reaching.#I've successfully helped so many disabled students from getting kicked out#and getting them ecsped programs where appropriate#their communication and self regulation skills are off the charts. compared to where we started.#every child deserves to have someone who understands them. even if they have trouble communicating. even if it is difficult.#anyways rant over I'm just full of adderall and love for my students.

ALRIGHT!! I MADE A starter menu with currently just 1 button that leads to level 1 and i made code that if you touch an obstacle (like spikes and later on enemies!!) you will go to a very nice and motivating touchscreen i will make more comfy to look at then it is rn, it'l have a go back to menu option and a restart level option. the main menu will have another menu with all the levels layed out.i have no idea rn how i will make this idea work but i want it so that you can only click / pick a level if you have finished the level before, i'm thinking of a variable thats like var is_finished = false, and if you finish it gets set to true and the next level is like if is_finished: go to next level. but idk

It’s Friday morning “crying real tears about how Nina from Molly of Denali reacted to Molly surprise visiting her on her birthday” hours
#molly of denali#listen not that I don’t love LOVE so many pbs kids shows for babies/toddlers & prek but this show is more narrative and it’s SO good#*that are designed with those ages in mind as audiences#like it is a very very good show even aside from the educational value (not to sound like a 25 year old who regularly develops social skills#and new insights/knowledge from pbs kids shows and other educational children’s programming)#(the agere jumped out but also the just. appreciation of slow pacing and need for both clarity and emotional connection in education)#ANYWAY#not very relatable post#bdjdndmdndnsm but for real it’s so good and comforting and like yeah has very strong characters that are more complex than the shows for#younger audiences can be (not that I don’t love those too but they’re obvs less character and story driven and more abt like appealing to#very young kids while also getting across an educational message so it has to be more repetitive) (whereas Molly like I said is more of a#narrative bc it’s for slightly older audiences but is still slower paced and low-stimulation and very very sweet and educational)#*repetitive and also interactive#ANYWAY SORRY I’m having a moment sndndndmdnnd#also just realized Sesame Street has a Nina too and a leela which is similar to layla… leela Sesame Street is my favorite I want to be her#(she… she works at/runs (?) the laundromat)#(I love laundry)
