Based on my limited knowledge of the original series and Team Rocket's tendency towards slapstick/Three Stooges style comedy, I have to imagine that when no humans are watching, she'll pull off perfect Tony Hawk skilllevel X-Games routines, but as soon as another person is watching all she does is rookie-level ollies.

So it becomes this thing of Mr Mime and Wobbuffet watching her, running to get Delia so she can see, but by the time she gets there Jessie is just back to practicing the basics (and we're just left to wonder whether Jessie is pulling back on purpose because she knows she's being watched and worried about embarrassing herself, or it's just a slapstick timing thing where she really is just trying to fine tune the basics and didn't notice the extra attention)

Who would you say is more likely to do a sick kick-flip: Jessie or Delia? And do you think the answer changes as their relationship develops?

I also think, while there are quite a bit of online resources and good youtube videos for splatoon weapons, a lot of people don't look into the role of their weapon, even if we're going as simple as frontline / backline, knowing your place and role in a match and basing your playstyle around that can change the outcome of your match by quite a bit, but the thing is, it's splatoon, I'm an outlier when I say I care about positioning and team loadout and weapon roles ect ect most people just play splatoon casually basically so this entire paragraph is now nullified because I have acknowledged that casual players exist. There IS X rank. X rank is fun, because most people who make it to X rank care about those aspects of the game so you feel less like you're fighting against random teammate rng and feel more like your individual actions have weight instead of 'oh im going to lose because I got paired with suckleman12 who has been playing the game for 2 days' IDK. Splatoon 3 doesn't have the WORST matchmaking but sometimes it feels like I'm not getting anywhere because I'm being paired with weapons that outright just don't work very well on a team with me / duplicate weapons / players wayy below my skill which is gonna happen in any game but im talking like im either cursed with nintendo bad matchmaking luck forever or everyone else who plays at my skilllevel (which, relatively speaking isn't even that high.) is just constantly being fucked idk. I'm aware that I'm complaining about splatoon nintendo baby game rn but it's such a unique game and I do love it so much I just wish the competitive scene was a bit less shit towards me specifically thank you.

I think splatoon's ranked problem is that players don't know how to deal with objectives, they know how to ink the ground (turf war) but the second an objective is introduced I.E. with splatzones for example which is ALSO turfing the ground just on a selected area of the map, the objective in ranked for a lot of people just becomes "get as many kills as possible" instead of "pay attention to the objective" for example, I lost a round of splatzones once because one of my teammates was so focused on kills they stopped inking the splatzone and entered the enemy team base and tried to camp them while the rest of us are trying to get points to, uh, I don't know, win the match? Tower Control is a little easier for people I find but I have lost countless matches because I'm the only one hopping on the tower, not because my weapon and build are fit for it, but because my teammates are too focused on solely killing and they view the tower as a sentient animal that has legs and can move on its own. Surely, if we get enough kills, we will win no matter how far the tower moves! This doesn't mean the tower should be constantly moving, not what I'm saying, there's a rhyme and time for everything. IDK I'm biased in this opinion because I play too much of this game and I imagine most people are just casually playing but the tldr of this is I Wish. I Wish People Knew How To Play The Other Modes...

Anyone you don't plan on drawing like the monster Lis or the tower creature?

I’m planning on trying to draw all the monster npcs,, aka Black Wolf, Great Hawk, I guess the Ivory Wraith also fits under this category? Uh and also the Night Monster. But I’m still unsure how humanoid vs monstrous I’ll be making each of them,, but they’ll definitely be the last thing I’ll be attempting to make designs for, because frankly I’m unsure if it’s within my skilllevel 🥲

As for who I’m not drawing it’s probably only Quinn and Mickey? There’s so little to go off in the game design wise that I wouldn’t feel confident in what to go for. I’m also uncertain of if I’m gonna try the black dog,,, And of course I won’t do the prison guards and such lol, but otherwise I am gonna try all the named npcs we have.

Maybe eventually I’ll also try general monster designs like lurkers or plant people and such? Not sure though!

No. Depending on how many artists and writers will sign up, we might have to make a selection. There’s a multitude of factors that go into selecting participants. The skilllevel, dependability and how well their style fits into the Zine are just a few of them.

Once Sign-Ups are closed we will send out E-Mails with further informations.

👑   Can I contribute already existing art ar fiction?

No. Every piece of art and writing in the Zine has to be new.

👑 How can I help to make the goodies?

You can offer to help with creating the designs for our goodies in the Creator Sign Up Form. The Team then will get them made.

You don’t have to make and order anything yourself.

👑 Why should I volunteer to offer comissions?

Offered Comissions will help us reach our Kickstarter goal. An artist or writer will be able to let us know after the Sign-Up-Phase how many slots for what rate they are willing to volunteer.The team will set this up as a buyable Tier in the kickstarter compaing.
