What am I wearing: I just arrived at home when it started to POUURRR, so the first thing I did when I got here was to take of my pants. So socks and a shirt.

Dream Job: I REALLY want to become an attorney but if we are talking about childhood dreams: I always wanted to be a successful author. But you know, the key word here is ‘successful’.

Dream Trip: Tokyo for sure.

Play any instruments?: I wish.

Languages: German, English, Persian and a little bit of French (written, I understand almost *nothing* when it’s spoken, haha)

Favorite food: My mom’s lentil soup!

Favorite song: It honestly changes with my mood and I can’t decide, sorry!

Random fact: I have something called the photic sneeze reflex that causes sneezing in response to looking at bright light for example. This condition affects about 15 - 35% of the population, I think. So maybe you’ve got it too! Random sneezing for the win!

11 q’s tag!

1. Who is your favorite Greek god or goddess? I loved Athena when I was younger because I used to take quizzes about the percy jackson books and would always come out as being Athena’s daughter. But uhhhhh Athena is shitty and terrible, and since having found out about all the people she’s wronged and how petty she was, my new favorite greek figure is medusa.

2. Which of Shakespeare’s plays is your favorite, or if you haven’t read his works, what is your favorite play in general?  That would be a toss up between Macbeth and Othello. I love the ability to see someone’s declining mental state, and both of those are apparent in Macbeth and Othello. I love having the theme of someone close to you being the cause of your ultimate downfall. Othello had his best friend Iago plant the seed of doubt in his mind, and Macbeth had his wife, Lady Macbeth, urging him to kill and betray those around him for power. One of my favorite quotes from Macbeth is this; “O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!” 

3. What is something about yourself that you are proud of? I would consider myself to be very kind and sweet to those that often times dont deserve it.

4. Stargazing in a meadow or cloud watching on a beach? I love going to the beach, so probably cloud watching on a beach. Also a meadow is usually in forests and the idea of laying down in the woods at night is terrifying to me, no thanks. :-)

5. Wes Anderson or Edgar Wright? In regards to Edgar Wright, I watched Scott Pilgrim and I loved it, and partially gotten through Hot Fuzz, which I also liked a lot. But I’d say Wes Anderson produces more movies that are consistently ones that i’ve loved. Fantastic Mr. Fox is one of my all-time favorite movies. As well as The Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom.

6. How do you take your coffee? Do you have anything, in particular, to eat with it? So I work at starbucks, so i’ll say my go-to drink as well as how I make my regular coffee. I usually get an iced toffeenut latte with half toffeenut and half white mocha and coconut milk! If i’m drinking regular hot coffee at my house, I just add some “caramel macchiato” creamer that my dad always has stocked at the house. c:

7. What motivates you most in life? One of my friends always motivates me to do stuff because I know I can’t BS with him. Aside from that, LoFi music really helps put me in a productive, get shit done, kinda mood. 

8. Who is your favorite historical figure and why? Anne Boleyn! I’m not sure why I like her so much. Probably because she fought the charges brought against her from King Henry. She was such a strong Queen and idk i just askdjfalskdjf love her!

9. What is your favorite novel that you were forced to read in school and why did you end up liking it? I think my favorite would be the short story “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?” by Joyce Carol Oates! I read it in my comp 2 class and it was so scary and just horrifyingly unsettling. My professor, Marty, was a mystery novel author and I just loved her so much! All the stuff she had us read were so interesting!

10. Who is your favorite artist and how did you find out about them? So my favorite classical artist would be Monet, and as for contemporary art, my favorite is a toss up between Jamie Hewlett (the artist/animator for the gorillaz!) and an artist by the name of Kerry Phillips, who had an exhibit at the art museum I went to recently. It was my favorite part of the entire museum! 

11. If you had an all-expense paid trip to anyplace and anytime in the world, where and when would you go? I love the idea of the prohibition era in new york city at night. Going to small little hole-in-the-wall clubs where you could get your hands on some imported, illegal moonshine. An interesting concept, but I’m also a firm believer that time travel is fucked, so i’d prefer to stay in my time line. x
