Took some really interesting pictures in Wasteland today
There's this one - just two skids casually sitting inside a turret, wondering what exactly it used to shoot
Tumblr media
I don't necessarily think this is true, but the pipes hooked up to the big middle one made me think of them as giant polluted waterguns
Tumblr media
Were all of these turrets? There's 5 total confirmed on the Temple, and potentially another 4+ on the ground.
Tumblr media
Were these meant to target people? Light creatures? Dark creatures?
Also, side note, anyone else notice that absolutely massive wall directly behind the turret to the right? It's spans the whole back of the Temple. Kinda interesting, especially considering all the giant doors inside the Temple. But when the main door opens, it opens to a long hallway into the Vault. So... I guess we are technically seeing the bottom outer portion of the Vault there? Makes sense to keep all that knowledge and stored technology behind so much protection.
Tumblr media
Anyway, what about the king statue on the front of the ship? Is it also a turret? Or just a plain ol' king statue?
And just for some more random fun:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is what it looks like looking back on the Temple after you cross the spirit gate near the shipwreck - it looks a bit different. Wonder what that's about.
And finally, these bad boys - I know we all have our theories, I'm thinking they're water treatment plants - an attempt to rid the water of pollution once it started becoming an issue incapable of being ignored. What are you thinking??

For Sky Lore Fans - The Guide's Reunion's
🍄‍🟫🔷🪻: heyyyy y'all uhm how are you??? :DD Someone, which is not me but is Leaf, wanted to introduce to you a thing that she created while writing her Sky: CotL Fanfiction, Fly Until You See The Light, and that has been going on for a while without you knowing. Soooo Leaf, here is your chance to speak.
🌿📜🫀: alright, thank you, colleague. First of all, I warn you, people. Since the beginning of my Sky story, you can see that it's an AU that tends to be the closest possible to the real game. Thought, it's still an AU, and many things that are NOT CANONIC and just theories exist in there.
Now, we can proceed.
Down here, you find a screenshot of the Chapter 13 of the Prophecy part of my story!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of you may wonder: what is a Guide's Reunion? How does it work? That's what I'm going to talk about!
A Guide's Reunion is nothing but a meeting where all the Seasonal Questgivers/Guides organize new Seasons, Events and more. So, I can also say that I've been Daydreaming about some scenarios, and my mind has brought me to the conclusion that the Guides are a full group of chaotic beings and good old friendships.
There is a difference between Seasons and Events, in the Reunions: the Seasons are a more delicate issue, so the Gods create them as ideas and tell the Guides to organize them (such as discovering more about Spirits and the Questgivers if they're already in their area, and more...). About the Events (such as Days of Nature, Days of Style...), which are easier to make and smaller, the Guides create them and organize them on their own.
The Reunions are every two/three weeks, but the time depends mostly on the needs and ideas of the members!
Now, about the Seasonal Questgivers/Guides, I'd like to add some more information.
Every Guide of every Season participates to the Reunions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite this, there are some special cases... And these are the Little Prince Season, Shattering Season and AURORA Season.
These Seasons are not randomly chosen. They have something in common: none of them has got a Sky Person as Guide. The Little Prince has got the Rose, the Shattering has got the Shattered Diamond, AURORA has got an Aurora statue/sculpture (?). So, who participates at the Reunions for the original Guides?
The answers can be two, in these cases. AURORA and Little Prince can be represented by a Spirit of their Constellation. The Spirits of the two Constellations alternate among themselves to participate in the Reunions. But what about Shattering? They have no Spirits, they don't even have a Constellation, if I'm not wrong.
A Messenger of the Stars joins the Reunion for them, and they try to help the Guides.
✷ A Messenger of the Stars is a being that is very similar to Skykids. In fact, the Messengers are Skykids, but they are more related to the Gods and the Elders. They look like normal Children of the Light, but they are known for having the AURORA Blue Wings and/or the AURORA tiara. Their purposes are the following:
To organize expeditions (and participate in them) with magic functions that may be connected to the past, the present or the future of the Sky Kingdom;
To look after the Sky Creatures, if necessary, and to always protect them from the Hunters (just people who hunt the creatures);
To discover the meanings and the hidden stories behind the ancient murals in the Kingdom;
Adding a fact about them, they tend to be good musicians, healers, and they can be good teachers and warriors.
Tumblr media
This is an example with an original Sky OC, Guwa. ✷
Now, let's go back to the Reunions topic.
When the Guides are at the Reunions, they can't stay at their area at the same time. So, they can choose between being temporarily replaced by a Spirit of their Constellation to help the Children to complete their Seasonal Quests, or to make the Quests be closed until they come back.
I've told you all a lot about the Present, but what about the Seasons in the past?
Some centuries after the Darkness, the Corruption and the King's fall, the Season were created by the Gods to keep the population united. Children of the Light were already starting their journeys at the age of thirteen, and the Seasons helped them to make new friends more easily.
Sadly, after some time, the Seasons were forgotten because nobody had written informations about them. The first Guides disappeared for choice of the Gods, and they've never returned.
Well, that was until a recent time (that we can also see as 2019, the beginning of the Seasons). The Darkness, angry and mad at Megabird, decided to make a joke on her and gave life to the Season of Gratitude. Megabird wasn't happy about it at first, but she then saw how powerful the Seasons have always been. So, she didn't stop the cycle anymore.
✷ This is also the reason some of my OCs don't have a star sign, which I've seen in the @theweeklylight 's most recent posts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A star sign is like a zodiac sign, and you can find it in the blog I've tagged. ✷
Fun Fact before continuation
The "before Aviary" Guides usually make friendly jokes about the "after Aviary" Guides. Things like: "Back at my days, ...";
The cycle of the Pendants
The Pendants are the Seasonal necklaces that Skykids can unlock with the Pass during the Seasons.
In my AU, the Seasonal Spirits that have got a Seasonal Pendant are willing to be "secondary Guides", helpers that can participate at the Reunions. When all the Spirits of a Constellation have the Pendants, they all can participate.
The number of Spirits can change, of course. Here is some example:
Season of Remembrance -> Bereft Veteran and Wounded Warrior have the Pendants;
Season of Passage -> Melancholy Mope has the Pendant;
Season of Abyss -> Bumbling Boatswain has the Pendant;
Season of Flight -> Lively Navigator and Light Whisperer have the Pendants.
The Elders wanted to replace the old Guides with this cycle of the Pendants, but no Guide has ever let the group and nobody ever will.
✷ Oh, also, Passage Guide is very sensitive about one of his adopted Children being an helper ✷
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I can finally say that I am finished with this topic :) I hope you all enjoyed this little essay (can we call it like that?), and I hope that this will be appreciated by the Lore Fans.
Tumblr media
Bye bye, Sky People!

Foreshadowing for the dawn ember becoming the king
We know one of these kids is going to get corrupted by power, and therefore probably be the king. I think it's dawn ember, based right now on their mask.
Tumblr media
What I've highlighted here aren't ears, you can see those behind the mask. Instead they are the only kid on this boat whose mask has these subtle points. Points that we all know who to associate those with. And their story seems to start in isle of dawn which checks. There are some issues though. Mainly that the king fell from the sky, and this kid seems to have a guardian/parent of some kind already.
Tumblr media
Interestingly people have already pointed out that this character has the same hairstyle, dress and proportions as the one that dies in the runaway quest. Dies whilst bringing a child to the isle of dawn. This pretty much retcons the kid falling from the sky in the isle. But maybe tgc have a plan, or maybe they will just retcon that who knows. They've been working on this animation for a while and I wouldn't be surprised if the latest seasons have all had foreshadowing. We already see a battle with krills in both the seed aurora quest and in the trailer. And they suddenly added the hopeful steward when aviary could have worked fine with the disembodied voice that normally tells us what to do. Hopeful steward is likely the dusk ember, and the dawn ember is likely the king. Excited to find out if I'm correct.

so I was doing a run through Eden recently, and taking screenshots whenever I could, when I noticed something during the flight to orbit.
NOTE THAT BEYOND THE CUT HAS SPOLIERS FOR THE FLIGHT TO ORBIT!
Tumblr media
Look familiar to anyone?
Thats because it is the exact same as what is on the final floor of the vault of knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I thought it was interesting, as we only can see this after the light whale smashed the fallen debris, and we head into the eye of the storm. With everything happening so quickly I wanted to make sure that I was right on the timing, and this happens to be the last part of the Eden castle we can actually see, as afterwards we he'd into the first section of orbit, with all of the spirits we have awakened.
I think its an interesting thing to think about because, all of the "shrines" we see in these photos, can be found in the different temples where we give the elder spirits light.
I just thought it was a neat comparison, and something to add onto the piles and piles of headcanons and theories I have on this game.

I just hecking realized that these spirits benefit eachother
Bereft veteran lost his son right? And since his son is a warrior, he literally sees wounded soldier as his son because they have a close relationship as a father and son dynamic, and he was reliefed about the fact that he was able to experience a fatherly time with him in the last quest cutscene.
And also for pleadful child, since he lost his mother because of those two hecking soldiers, he missed her so much that she sees tiptoing tea brewer as a mother figure to him, he was literally so glad he was also able to experience a lovely bond between him and tipoeing tea brewer.

AND THEY ALSO HAVE HECKING MATCHING COLOR PALLETES.

Providing a deep analysis of all Studio Ghibli films would be an extensive undertaking, considering the studio's rich and diverse catalog. However, I can highlight key themes and elements that are often present in their films.
1. **Spirited Away (2001):** Explores identity, environmentalism, and the spirit world. The bathhouse setting is a metaphor for societal structures.
2. **My Neighbor Totoro (1988):** Focuses on the innocence of childhood, the connection to nature, and the acceptance of mystery.
3. **Princess Mononoke (1997):** Tackles environmentalism, the clash between industrialization and nature, and the complexity of human relationships with the environment.
4. **Howl's Moving Castle (2004):** Examines themes of war, love, and transformation, set against a backdrop of magical realism.
5. **Grave of the Fireflies (1988):** A powerful anti-war film exploring the impact of conflict on two siblings during World War II.
6. **Kiki's Delivery Service (1989):** Focuses on self-discovery, independence, and the challenges of growing up.
7. **The Wind Rises (2013):** Tells the story of an aeronautical engineer against the backdrop of historical events, reflecting on creativity, passion, and the moral implications of invention.
8. **Porco Rosso (1992):** Explores themes of identity, war, and redemption through the tale of a World War I flying ace transformed into a pig.
9. **Castle in the Sky (1986):** Features an adventurous tale with themes of environmentalism and the consequences of human greed.
10. **Whisper of the Heart (1995):** Focuses on adolescence, dreams, and self-discovery, emphasizing the importance of pursuing one's passions.
These brief insights into a selection of Studio Ghibli films highlight their exploration of diverse themes, including environmentalism, identity, and the human connection with nature. Each film is a unique artistic expression that often combines fantasy with deep, thought-provoking narratives.

Hi there
Yesterday I had nothing to do, and I noticed that the nine-colored deer and skykid incapacitate the krill in three hits. I decided to calculate how strong each blow was, they seemed to be the same. It turns out that in order to hit a krill with a force that would destroy it, it must be immediately like these three hits.
I took VERY APPROXIMATE values to make it at least a little easier to count. I'm not a physicist, and we haven't taught this subject for two years. Of course I could be wrong about many things. I took the height and weight of the skykid as 150 centimeters and 45 kilos (our calculation is in kilograms, not pounds, so I’m sorry if this is not clear to you)
This was done purely for fun and to theorize, so please, don't take it seriously.
(also sorry for the mistakes in english, I don't speak it)
Upd: Oh, I see that this is becoming popular, I wish I could say that I am also an artist!

Incoming Marble Sky theory about the Marmors' origin planet and more! Spoilers ahead!
I think if we ever get to see their original planet, it might be a dark place (literally and metaphorically), with hives or cities built within ant-like cave systems. Their society also seems to work like those of ants with a queen (Moon), workers and drones.
I think the fact that the Marmors use a form of ecolocation rather than our traditional eyesight might imply that on their original planet, sight as we know it is not a viable option. Their planet might either have little to no light, making eyes redundant, or too much, which would also cause the same problem. I think their fur coloring might also be proof of this, as they seem to display bright colors with no patterns. (Patterns usually help animals, especially predators, blend into their environment, because a blotch of a single color is usually easy to spot). However, there is also a possibility that their coloring might be a result of them becoming the dominant species: We see this with domesticated animals- think cows or cats, with white patches of fur, that make them easier to spot. When colors no longer affect their survival, new color variations tend to pop up.
I also think the fact that they are bipedal (with tails) also tells us that like humans, they might have started walking on all fours and then went up. This allows the brain to become larger, because the neck can hold up more weight, boosting their intelligence. Animals that walk on all fours are usually limited in this aspect because the neck muscles do all the work, so their heads can't get heavier.
The existence of tails might imply that those are still required for balancing purposes. Humans used to have tails but we kinda didn't need them and they went away, but the tail bone still exists. The fact that Marmors still needed them might imply that they still had to climb a lot in their original planet - maybe they live on trees (there's some ants that build their hives hanging from them! Super cool tbh) or they build their homes on cliffs/mountains.
I personally think them living in mountains or cave systems is the more likely option. In the comic we have already gotten the comparison with ants, who tend to build their little hives with tunnel systems going in all directions. This would make their tails useful for climbing, as well as their special eyesight and connections useful for navigating the hive. I mean, a connection like the one we have seen in the latest update is not only useful for hunting but also for their hives, as they can quickly figure out where more "manpower" is needed vs where there's already enough of them in one place.
Also, they have both sharp claws and teeth. Obviously those teeth are stylized in the comic, but they seem very very sharp. Definitely made for ripping and shredding. So it's very likely that the Marmors are obligate carnivores, meaning that, unlike dogs or bears, they can ONLY eat meat. I mention this because those claws would also be useful for hunting and disabling prey BUT connecting this to the cave system theory: Those claws are big and sharp, whoch might also be useful for digging. The giant anteater, for example, has some seriously sharp claws. This thing does NOT hunt other animals, besides ants and termines lmao, but uses those sharp claws to dig into the really hard ground. And those claws are SHARP, boy. They use them regularly to wars off and ERASE jaguargs. Yes, jaguars. So maybe these sharp claws might be tools AND weapons for the Marmors, useful for deleting your prey and digging into the ground!
Going back to the ant comparison: ants society usually has a queen, her simps, and the worker ants. The queen lays the eggs. If those are fertilised by the male drones, they become female workers but if not, they become male drones (the simps lmao). Ecliptica mentions that she is tall because she is a female AND the center of their network. Obviously these are aliens, but I think we can draw parallels: she might be their queen, the only one that reproduces -which would also explain their "children belong to everyone and noone" attitude"- while the rest might simply be the workers. I say workers, even if they are male, because I think the drones might actually be something else. We have seen smaller Marmors like Shepherd's assistants. Now, they might just be small or younger, BUT they could also be the lower ranking drones.
So, to sum up: I think Marmors come from a planet with little light, where they build their hives/societies in ant-like cave systems, digging into the ground. They might also have an ant-like society, that revolves around their queen, the workers and the lower ranking drones, where everyone but the queen is a male.

Does it look like there might have been a built-in waterfall to anyone else?? Like that straight indentation follows the whole top of the roof to the center of the doorway. The question to me then becomes... regular water or dark water?? If not a waterfall, what else do we think it could be??
The triple-embedded diamond is also interesting to me, as are the rays shining down like the sun from it. I assume it's a motif of the Eden diamond.
Also, the statue isn't centered with the building and it drives me nuts. Speaking of...

“This time, you sent the trembling fawn to find me. I did not expect to see those doe-eyes peering at me from across the world.”
Happy Elain Archeron Week Day 6: Fanged Beast
One of my absolute favorite theories in this fandom is that Elain will be able to traverse the murky realm, like the Mystics in HOSAB. @wingedblooms incredible mind connects details in a way most only dream of and has helped to further my excitement for Elain’s book and journey. You can find the two main theories that inspired this piece here and here.
The first time we see Elain peer across the world, she is doing so as a trembling fawn, but my hope is that, she will peer across worlds on her way to becoming a fanged beast and embrace that side of her in her own book.
In this piece, Elain has left behind Az and Bryce in Velaris, and stepped into the murky realm, only to be greeted by a waiting Apollion, mirroring Az. Apollion’s black eyes, deep and dark as the Pit in which he dwells- a telltale sign that his relaxed posture is nothing more than a trick to give a false sense of calm. But I have confidence Elain’s fangs and claws will get her back home.
A massive thank you to @luxury_banshee on IG for creating this piece for me💕
You can find this art on IG here

OKAY SO GENERAL THOUGHTS AND SOME HYPOTHESES BASED UPON THE INFORMATION WE HAVE:
Holly is from Teegarden; a place where either all of his species can shapeshift or he himself is some kind of priest of whatever god they worship that has given him the ability to shapeshift. If ALL of the Teegardenians have innate shapeshifting, this makes the bird hunting Inherently More Sinister, but it makes far more sense to me for Holly to be special, because he says he's from a temple and attributes his shapeshifting to god. It also makes sense for Holly to be special amongst his species because Sculptor asked Oscar and Ward 'Which of you is smarter?'
They're keeping higher quality/more unique specimens in The Vault and maintaining them for some reason.
When Ward is still Very Much Ravaged by whatever the fuck the Science Scrapers were doing, we see probably-Sculptor saying they should put him specifically with 'someone peaceful'. We don't know why they have taken this consideration beyond determining he's not going to be a danger to a more peaceful inmate, but we do know Holly is also missing an eye, which means that must be part of the 'forcibly extracting information from a creature's body and brain' process. Ward was not doing any talking, they got the information about Oscar's laptop via stealing it out of his brain. Sculptor was not separating the dangerous smart one from the harmless stupid one. The Echolocators (this will be my shorthand for the rest of the Q) fully believe themselves to be above both these weird little dudes, but they know from experience they can get more, better information about humans out of the smarter of the two.
Holly sighs sadly and says 'they've found another civilization to destroy', and he's been kept alive alone in the vault for an indefinite period of time while the general ecosystem of his planet appears to be intact enough for regular hunting excursions. Either the Echolocators circle around regularly between planets they've previously colonized to keep the base resources on each planet fresh, or they are in the middle of ravaging specifically Teegarden beyond livability, and will move on to Earth next now that they've conveniently found some fun new pets. I believe the use of 'civilization' is significant enough to suggest it's the former, which is Way Scarier because they've also noted humans are edible and taste good.
A species of colonizer aliens being set up in an ant-like colony is delightful by the way. Also I saw someone in the notes saying 'oh no she doesn't know about The Incident' over Ecliptica being like 'I didn't really check on Ward, science is boring to me' and would just like to say No. Ecliptica absolutely knows about the unethical Whatever That Was and The Vault. She just doesn't know if Ward survived or is any semblance of okay. Because Oscar is a cute fun novelty and Ward is some guy she does not particularly care about.
Oh, my God, I want to express my thoughts on your hypotheses so bADLY. But that would be the wrong way to present information that should be shown in a story. But I still want everyone to see it, because carefully analyzing a story is one of the greatest forms of art that amazes me every time🧡
