Chapter 50 – Trapped
It hurt to breathe. Like really, really hurt to breathe. Each inhale and exhale sent a shockwave of pain searing straight through his whole body. Not to mention it felt like he had a two-ton weight sitting on his chest.
Something was on top of him, but what?
Why the shell couldn’t he move?
Prying his weary eyelids apart, his vision was greeted by nothing but darkness. He managed to turn his throbbing head from side to side, but it didn’t help. Everything was still pitch black, no matter what way he looked.
This didn’t make sense.
What the heck happened?
Why’s it so dark in here?
Feeling a bit claustrophobic, he clenched his eyelids back shut and tried to draw in a deep, calming breath, but it hurt too much to take in air.
He let out a groan of pain that sounded off somehow. Almost as though he was in an enclosed space when he knew for a fact he was in a cavern. At least, he was pretty doggone sure he was in a cavern, but given his current predicament, he was starting to have some serious doubts about that.
Again, he found himself wondering what the heck happened...

#the dog barks#dreblr#its like.#Tommy is encouraged to be as aggressive as possible#and to get into fights constantly for the things the group believes in#but he's not expected to take much damage#he's there to slash at anything that the group wants to be destroyed and then be sheathed away until they need him again#Tubbo is as aggressive but he's expected to sit there and take it#to take the damage to hold his ground and take any response for the group's actions#Dream on the other hand. He lets himself be used to cover the morals od everyone in the dsmp#he becomes their masks#no one has to think about the horrible things they've done and will do because you can just pin it on Dream#like the traditional scapegoat. you can place all your sins on him and he will take it#He lets himself fall into this role so that the people he cares about dont have to deal with the dark underbelly of their own cruelty

as unkempt as he always was, i'd like to think that birkin at least tried to look put together in his early days. the middle part was him trying to look professional past the hairs sticking in every direction and the back of his haircut never looking quite right.
his mother's nagging about his appearance seemed to linger in the back of his mind even after he moved out, going days, weeks, years without talking to her. any real meaning or even importance behind the self-grooming was lost, boiled down to habit. taking a minute to pick through his matted hair with a broken comb in the morning was a ritual that kept him sane. it grounded him.
the evential side part was him letting go of the half-cobbled man that he used to be, relinquishing what little identity he had in pursuit of finishing his life's work. even until his final moments, golgotha had always come first.

super helldive squids is WAY too easy. on my hands and knees begging for new enemy types. whose dick do i need to suck.
#only mission type i struggle with is the one where you raise flags + destroy tha monolith. but if you clear all#ships b4 going after the main objective you can practically go afk at the flag and itll be done#somewhat related. 8 still harder than 10#was extracting from a super helldive mission and for the 3 minutes. NOTHING came at me. i was literally doing nothing#i think only like one person is gonna read this far can we talk about how the overseers are really sexually attractive#like not to be undemocratic or anything i wouldnt mind being bent over mid mission and taking it in the ass for all of super earth to see#while raising the flag would be crazy. cause of that fucking camera slash music player thing#checking in to strohmann news and seeing john helldiver bent over and screaming for more#helldivers 2

Sneak Peek
Chapter 51 – Feelings
Without his T-phone, Raphael had no idea just how much time had elapsed since the cavern had partially collapsed on top of them. What the red-clad turtle did know was that the minutes ticked by far slower when one was trapped inside a cramped space. It felt like days had passed, when in all actuality, it had probably only been an hour or so. Maybe not even that long…
Leaning his back against what used to be the entrance of the cavern, Raphael glanced around the enclosed space and let out a melancholy sigh. For years, he had come to this place, and now, there was barely anything left of it.
It seemed almost fitting.
He and Spike had spent so much time here. It was kind of like their special space.
But now that Spike was gone, it didn’t feel right to come here anymore.
Too many memories…
Yes, it was definitely fitting that the place had been destroyed.
It was for the best really…
Less chance to relive the past…
Heart growing heavier by the second, Raphael gazed over at his little brother, who was currently curled up on his right side.
The conversation between the two turtles had been minimal thus far. So minimal, Donatello had drifted off to sleep some time ago. While at first, Raphael had thought this was a good thing, he was now starting to worry about his genius brother.
If Donnie had a concussion, wasn’t it best for him to stay conscious?
Raphael couldn’t remember all the concussion protocols, but he was pretty sure keeping the person awake was one of them.
Could letting Donatello get some rest being doing him more harm than good?
