CHAPTER THREE — iii.

“No.” III whispers, though II can see the way the rogue’s brows are furrowed from behind his mask. There’s a shadow cast over his features, parts of the man’s face where the moon simply can’t reach with her glowing lips. “‘M not shutting up until we either finish cleanin’ up all that crusty fuckin’ blood, or you tell me why my guts aren’t your favorite cup’a tea.” II doesn’t like this; he doesn’t know what to do. III is close now — so agonizingly fucking close that II can feel the man’s hazy breath through the combined might of both their damn masks — and II just doesn’t know what to do.

— gosh! this chapter was such a doozy to plan and write out! i'm really so out of my element when it comes to writing arguments, but i think that's why i'm having so much fun with this challenge as well! :) luckily, this is pretty much the extent of the genuinely unkind arguing session i wanted to write, so the last couple of chapters aren't as venomous as this one was, haha!

It can quite easily be read as a relationship with the fans, especially in certain parts

Especially with the recent drama (i can't believe somebody has done this) I wouldn't blame him for thinking the fans are toxic (at least some of them)

CHAPTER ONE — i.

“I told you-” II heaves suddenly as his voice comes out cracked and hoarse; he clears his throat and tries again. “I told you to stop looking at me like that.” (II doesn’t need to see clearly to know that III’s staring down at him with those stupid big doe eyes of his—wide, vulnerable, and ever-perceptive.) “Yeah, I guess.” III mumbles through the cloth of his mask, his twitching seemingly contagious as even the hand that’s posed borderline protectively over II’s hip seems to grow restless. “But I also told you that you’re bleedin’ more than you’re breathin’ and you still haven’t done shit about that.”
