When Sherlock came home from his trip through the city, he found an envelope. He had been out alone, because John has had daddy-duties with Rosie at home. Now the envelope immediately caught his eye. John had written his name on it. His husband had obviously tried his best to write it in a nice manner. Long, precise letters. No flourish – that wouldn’t be John.

‘Happy Birthday, Sherlock’,

it simply said.

Too intrigued to walk over to the hook, he threw his belstaff over a stool and took the envelope in his hands. Sherlock carefully bent it. Not a card – which would make sense, since John always insisted on getting him a present for his birthday; No, it was paper. Did John print something out? He brought it to his nose. It smelled clean, almost sanitary, a hint of John and… was that Mycroft’s smell? Sherlock frowned – why would birthday wishes from his husband smell like his brother? It was obvious, this envelope had to be important – John even had made the effort to put a paperweight on it, far away from Rosie’s stool, so she couldn’t get food on it.

Too curious what was inside, Sherlock finally did open the envelope – with the laid out ready paperknife. (So much preparation for a simple Happy Birthday letter? No, this was something else entirely, but what?)

Not in the mood for more deductions, Sherlock pulled the papers out of the envelope. And stared. For a long time. When he remembered to blink again, he did so exactly seven times, rapidly and consecutively. His hands started shaking. Sherlock almost couldn’t believe it, but his eyes actually filled with tears.

Suddenly he felt arms wrap around his waist from behind. "Happy Birthday, Love.", John whispered into his back.

“John I-“

John hummed.

“I-” Sherlock fought for words through that knot of emotion in his throat. Before him, in his hands, he held adoption papers for Rosamund Watson-Holmes.

John squeezed him tighter. “Are you okay?”

Sherlock nodded, trying to hold back the treacherous sentiment. Then it won him over and he sobbed. The great detective turned in John’s arms and wrapped his husband in the tightest embrace, he had ever given.

“I- I am Watson’s father?”, Sherlock needed to hear it from John’s mouth. He wasn’t sure why the documents in his hands were not enough, but he needed to hear it from John.

“Officially, as of today. Congratulations, Sherlock.”, John’s voice was so soft and full of love and Sherlock knew: He would protect his Watsons with his life and more.

“I don’t know what to say, John. Thank you. I love you.”

“That’s all I need to hear, Sherlock. I love you too. How about you go upstairs and say goodnight to your daughter?”, John loosened the hug and looked up at Sherlock. His eyes the softest color of blue. Sherlock saw so much love, trust, and pride in them, his own teared up again.

"Come with me?”, Sherlock asked softly, grabbing John’s hand.

“I’ll always be with you, Love.”

They shared a soft, emotional kiss. Then the proud fathers finally walked up to their daughter’s room.

ok definitely not my hottest sonic take but some things are best left unsaid. regardless uhhh one of them . at least in the realm of scourge fans specifically is that m*ghtourge as a ship SUCKS it SUCKS its HORRIBLE and i cant even begin to bring myself to apologize for it. like i dont feel sorry at all like you take away scourge's tacky sunglasses and you take away the tacky flame and then you make him into a smol uwu bean housewife for some godforsaken reason (namely because you dont understand the character even a little bit like this is top ten fundamental misunderstandings ever of all time) for your bad yaoi. im not even going to call it m/m its YAOI. then you ship him with .... mighty ? mighty, a guy who has 1) Standards 2) absolutely no relation to scourge even a little bit 3) NO DYNAMIC THERE TO EXPLORE. i dont like surge and kit all that much im SORRYYYYYYYYYY im sorry but its TRUEEEEEEEE. literally they have been redeemed so much in my eyes by the passion for them of my dear mutuals bunnymajo and cartoonrival so we're back to "decidedly neutral" but like . im sorry its not even their fault theyre just .... okay because the thing with me is that when characters who i feel decidedly neutral on get super popular and nobody will ever shut up about how amazing and perfect and poor uwu bean they are ... this is the quickest path to get me to dislike them.

added on top of the fact that they were literally like the entire idw focus for a year AND people (non-archie fans, specifically,) kept . bafflingly. beyond all reason and comprehension. comparing surge to scourge (which i have already ummmm written about my opinions on) it just. im sorry guys 💔 theyre okay. theyre Fine. they just never really clicked with me and then people were super annoying about them and particularly annoying in the direction of archie sonic, a series which i am aggressively defensive over in the face of idw fans 😭

How the Lights Shine So Colorful and Bright

I hope that this satisfies. It just ended up being a bunch of cute fluff. This is actually two parts. Part one is just Rami X Reader and some quality time, the second part is Dad!Rami X Kids X Reader. Fyi, they have four kids in this one. :) Whoops. Busy little horn dogs.

Rami X Reader

For the record I am not from NY, nor have I ever been to NY, so anything that is listed in here is sourced straight from a quick Google search.

Word Count: 1060 words (Part One)

You and Rami had escaped to New York in early December. He had some promotional work that he had to do, and he also said that you were overdue for some one-on-one quality time

You stayed behind in the hotel sleeping in for the first time in nearly six years, having four kids is exhausting, while he went to work. The twins, your toddler, and the baby

When he finally came back from fulfilling his work obligations he found you still in bed, dead asleep and he couldn’t help the quiet chuckle that escaped him.

He shrugged off his coat, and took his shoes off before he carefully climbed into the bed with you.

“Hey sleepyhead.” he says, as he gently brushes your hair back from your face.

“If no one is bleeding, dying, or the house isn’t on fire then please leave mommy alone!” you mumble out.

He laughs loudly and you open your eyes. 

“How was work?” you mumble out.

“It was fine. It’s always kind of fun doing the initial promo stuff. Buttttttttt, now that I’m free for the rest of the day I was thinking that maybe we could go get something to eat, and then maybe you know... because it’s been awhile since we’ve... ya know. I have plans for us tonight though.

Your day passes by all to quickly between shopping, eating, and having the hot sex you two were so overdue and that next thing you know it’s getting late. 

You had both taken a brief nap after one particular round of vigorous sex, so you were both charged up and ready for whatever he had planned.

He gets into the closet and pulls out a garment bag, and tells you to put the dress that is inside the bag on. 

You draw in a sharp breath, and then almost start to cry as you open the bag.  “Baby, where did you find this dress?”

“I found an old picture of the two of us and you were wearing it, and you know, I know people. So I had this dress made for you. I know how much that dress meant to you. You were wearing it when we first met, on our first date, when I asked to be my girlfriend, the first time we kissed, it’s also the dress I took off of you the first time the we had sex. When you lost everything in that house fire, you told me how that dress and your grandmother's copy of Pride & Prejudice were the only things that meant anything to you.”

You threw your arms around his neck and brought your lips to his. That is just how amazing your husband is, he would do anything like this for anyone that he loved. 

“So get dressed YN, because we have plans.”

You got dressed really quickly and taking his hand you both headed out the door of your hotel. 

Usually when you visit the city you both take public transportation, but not today. He had hired a car with a driver. You try to ask him what he was up to, and then it dawns on you.

“Baby are we.. are we going to go look at the Christmas lights?”

“Yes.”

“That’s just like-omg-I love you so much!!” you feel the tears wanting to start again, as you lean into his shoulder.

“Yes, just like our first date.We were both so broke, and I was so excited when you didn’t want to ditch me after that. That other guy that really liked you was rich, and I thought that there was no chance in hell that you’d ever want to see me again.”

“Oh baby. I had the biggest crush on you and we’d just never met, only ever seen each other from a distance. I never thought that I had a chance in hell because you were and still are the most beautiful man that I’ve ever seen.”

He kisses your temple, just as the car pulled over.

We’re at Rockefeller Center. You got out,and walked around for a bit. Admiring the giant Christmas tree and all of the other sights and sounds around us. 

When you were standing as close to the bottom of the tree as was possible, he took out his phone and angled the camera to capture you both in a selfie. 

An older gentleman and his wife were walking by and they stopped and offered to take a few pictures of the two of you. 

He presses another kiss to your temple, and then takes your hand in his. 

Your husband was so caring and gracious, that when a couple of fans spotted him, he happily agreed to take a few photos with them. You offered to take them and they declined and asked you to be in the picture too.

After spending a little while in one location, he’d have you back in the car and off to the next.

This time he shuffled you off to Bryant Park. The skating rink, with the NY Public Library looming in the distance, and all the little ways that the area was lit up. The random decorations around, the cool night air wanting you to just lean into him. The different vendors that were set up along the way.

The last location of the night was for a stroll down Fifth Avenue, mostly just so that you can look at all the displays in the windows, and the way things were decorated so meticulously. 

Your night ended with dinner at a restaurant close to your hotel, walking back in the chilly night air.

Walking, hand in hand, just like all those years ago. You really couldn’t have asked for a better date night. 

“YN, all the bright lights could never shine any brighter than you, or my love for you.”

He stops you in the middle of the sidewalk, others around you huffing in irritation as they had to maneuver around you; he reaches up to cup the back of your neck as your body practically melts into his. The kiss you shared was so sweet yet full of passion.

You rest your head on his shoulder. “This was the best date that we’ve had in a long time. Maybe we should strip it down more often, and just do things the cheap and simple way like we used to Rami.”

“I couldn’t agree more.”

Part Two

Dad!Rami X Kids X Reader

Go to the LA Zoo Lights - for the record I’ve never been there, never done that, I hope it’s not disappointing. I did a basic Google search and got some information about this. I hope for those of my readers that have been, that it is accurately described.

“Daddy!!!! I wanna go to the zoo!!” your oldest two started yelling repeatedly, in unison

“We will go in just a minute, mommy is just finishing changing the baby.”

The sun had just barely set, everyone fed, and now you two were getting ready to round up your crew of kiddos to get them in the car.

They had been excited about going to the zoo in the dark for a week. It’s all they’ve talked about.

The twins were bouncing off the walls, your toddler was having a meltdown because she wanted to wear her pink sparkly shoes, but they were nowhere to be found, so she had to wear her purple sparkly shoes instead. 

The baby had just pooped after being fed, so you were finishing changing him and then everyone was set to go.

Sometimes you and Rami joke about how crazy you had been to have kids so close in age, but parenthood was something he wore just as well as he wore those fancy suits.

Rami was trying to keep your three oldest entertained as you dealt with the baby.

Walking into the living room, you couldn’t help but to laugh. Rami was on the floor with three kids on top of him.

“Heeeellllllllllllpppppppppppp meeeeeeeeeee!!!” he dramatically cried out, waiting for you to come to his rescue.

With a loud sigh you set the baby down on his play mat on the floor before walking over to your husband. 

You grabbed your toddler and one of the twins and began to tickle them.

“My heroooo!” Rami laughed, as he gave you a kiss, standing up. Scooping the other twin into his arms and tossing him in the air. 

“Soooo… who is ready for some zoo lights? And maybe some ice cream after if it’s not too late and you behave?!”

The two oldest stopped in their tracks and started screaming, which caused your toddler to start screaming, which made the baby cry.

Rami just laughed, as he scooped your infant off the floor and into his arms. 

Grabbing the diaper bag that was full to bursting with everything that would possibly be needed for an evening away from the house, along with the stroller, baby carrier, and the backpack, you grab your small army and head to the car. 

You are a minivan family. Rami hated it at first, but once he realized there was no way in hell that you were all gonna fit in the small SUV you had, he had begrudgingly agreed and bought the minivan

You were strapping in the twins, while Rami was wrestling with your toddler, the baby having already been strapped in to his car seat and snapped into the base of his car seat.

Rami drove you all to the zoo, where the twins excited screeching was just getting louder by the minute, the toddler just jabbering away about who knows what, God bless your infant son who was blissfully asleep amongst all the chaos.

You two learned the hard way about 6 months ago, to keep everyone strapped in until you were ready to go. Rami was on twin patrol, and you would handle the stroller and wear the baby. 

You climb into the van and get the twins out, they had their instructions to stand next to the van, and hold hands. Next came the toddler who was promptly situated in the stroller, and lastly the baby that couldn’t be bothered to wake up, while being strapped into the carrier, grabbing his blanket to cover his tiny body. 

Rami took the twins ahead, to go get everyone’s tickets, while you got the two youngest taken care of.

You could hear your twins Oooohing and Ahhhhing at the entrance already, and you smiled sweetly, knowing that this was going to be a great decision.

Rami let the twins lead the way, as only certain parts of the zoo were open during the zoo lights.

Watching the kids faces light up in wonder and amazement at what they were seeing.

The lights were bright and fun, the lighted tunnels were a favorite. 

You never would have thought that this would have ended up being your lives, but you wouldn’t have it any other way. 

Rami only got upset once during the evening when a fan approached and asked for a photograph, to which Rami politely declined stating that he was out with his family. You almost stepped in and offered to allow him to take the picture, but he was firm in his ‘no’ because he didn’t want them to accidentally snap any pictures of the kids.

He would get so mad when someone would catch photos of him and the kids, and post them online.

He was always so adamant that he wanted the kids to be as far removed from his ‘celeb’ life as referred to it, as possible. 

The kids knew their dad didn’t have a normal job, but they didn’t know exactly what he did, and he wanted it that way, until they got a little older. 

He never allowed the kids to live a ‘jet set’ life, choosing to allow them to have as much consistency and normalcy as normal childhood allowed. The only time you all traveled was when Rami’s job took him away from home longer than a month, and that was because he always insisted that he hated being away for so long. He used to just travel back and forth, but that became incredibly taxing on him, after the first couple of times, it was decided that travelling as a family unit was for the best.

The kids still got to see various parts of the world, and he always made it a learning adventure. Learning about different cultures, food, history, and languages. 

The adventure at the zoo was only supposed to take somewhere between 60-90 minutes, but of course, the twins and their never ending curiosity made the whole evening end up lasting about two and a half hours. By the time you were all heading back to the car all the kids were definitely exhausted and ready for bed. 

You barely made it out of the parking lot of the zoo and all four kids were out cold. 

You and Rami just smiled at each other, and high-fived, another successful family adventure for the books.

Part One: Spilled Beans

You were in your last year of your business degree at Oxford University and were certainly one of a kind.

You had obtained a student visa for the United Kingdom three years ago and shared a small apartment with two other students. You were 21 and at the top of your class and quite shy. Parties didn’t interest you and neither did community events organised by the different social clubs at university.

Clearly, you were smart but, according to your best friend Janine you were not, at all, adventurous. Or perhaps it was just that you hadn’t discovered your adventurous side as yet.

No one would ever notice you, sitting in the back of the lecture hall, keeping to yourself and studying hard to finish your degree which you started when you were just 16 years old.

While most of your friends didn’t have the need to work while studying, you did. Money was tight and, on the weekends, you were working at an art gallery as an office assistant while, during the week, you had just taken up another part time position at a coffee shop in London’s business district.

Making coffee bored you and your customer skills were limited due to being incredibly shy. It was a job nonetheless and you were grateful for the opportunity.

Every morning, at work, you saw the same people ordering the same coffees. You remembered their orders and you remembered the faces of the men who left tips and of those who didn’t.

It’s not that you had ever gotten a tip from anyone, dressed like this, in jeans and a black t-shirt, but your two female co-workers worked hard for their tips.

From black dresses to miniskirts, bleached hair and showing off their cleavages, they were quite popular with some of the young and old bankers, lawyers and business men in town, wearing their fancy suits and expensive ties.

None of this impressed you much and, while these women were looking for a sugar daddy or their perfect suitor, you simply wanted to be able to pay your rent.

Little did you know that your boring life was about to come to an end and your worries to pay rent and fears of eviction would no longer exist following the visit of one particular customer.

It was Monday morning at 7 o’clock that Katherine, one of the young and incredibly attractive waitresses at the café, pointed out the one man all of the women in town were going crazy for.

‘That’s him, the guy I told you about. Usually, his secretary Lizzie gets his coffee for him but, occasionally, he will come here himself’ Katherine explained.

‘Another man in a suit, of course’ you said, rolling your eyes and, whilst you thought that he was handsome, you didn’t think he was anything special.

‘He’s not just another man in a suit. According to Vogue, he’s one of the most eligible bachelors in the UK’ Katherine pointed out just before he walked into the door with his head glued to his phone.

You didn’t know what made him so special but you couldn’t help but watch him and listen to him talk while you were wiping down the tables behind where he was standing, waiting for his coffee. His voice was deep and intimidating and he was swearing much more than any other business man you had heard before.

You realised quickly that he was dealing with a problem and, when he finally got of the phone, his coffee was already ready and waiting for him.

‘Thank you, Katherine’ he said with his low voice as he took the cup of coffee from the counter and, just as he did and turned around, you accidently tumbled into him on your way to the storage room.

Katherine’s chin dropped as she watched the coffee spill across his expensive suit and onto your arms all at the same time.

‘Oh my god, I am so so sorry’ you said, cheeks blushing red while you entirely ignored the burning pain on your arms.

The man looked at you somewhat surprised before putting his half empty cup of coffee back onto the corner. Then he sighed.

‘You’ve burnt yourself. You should maybe get this looked at, eh’ the man said but his facial expression didn’t change.

‘I ruined your suit. I will pay to get it dry cleaned’ you said somewhat nervously but the man shook his head.

‘There is no need Love, it’s just fucking coffee, eh’ he said before picking up his phone again, taking yet another phone call while asking Katherine for a new cup of coffee.

As he was talking on the phone, you cleaned up the floor where the coffee had spilled and you couldn’t help but notice that he was watching you.

His blue eyes gazed up and down, observing your every move until, eventually, he swore and hung up on whomever he was talking to.

‘You know, I couldn’t help but overhear you talking about a tax issue which, I think, I might have a solution for. I just wrote an assignment addressing…’ you began to say somewhat ignorant before, suddenly, the man interrupted you.

‘Are you an accountant?’ he asked and you shook your head.

‘I am about to finish my business degree but have researched business structures quite a fair bit’ you said, moving your glasses around slightly which is something you did when you were nervous.

‘She’s in the top of her class at Oxford. A childhood genius of some sort who left high school at sixteen to come here to study’ Katherine explained humoured before handing the man his brand-new cup of coffee.

‘A clumsy genius, eh?’ the man smirked and, just as he did, he pulled out one of his business cards and handed it to you.

‘Make an appointment with my secretary Elizabeth. You start tomorrow as one of my business advisors’ the man then said, causing your chin to drop.

‘I what?’ you asked somewhat surprised as you took the card.

‘Sweetheart, I don’t think it’s safe for you to be working around hot beverages. You are much better suited to sit in a comfortable office, eh’ the man then said, causing you to laugh.

‘I haven’t even graduated yet sir’ you explained, unsure what this was all about.

‘I would hate to see you work for someone else, Love. Katherine says that you are a genius so I will take her word for it, eh. Despite, I am doing the city of London a favour by getting you away from the coffee machine’ the man then said before advising you that he would insist on punctuality.

‘Thank you’ you said and he simply nodded in return before leaving the shop and getting into his rather expensive car.

When he left, you looked at the business card that he gave you.

‘Thomas Shelby, Director & CEO, Shelby Company Limited’ it read and you couldn’t believe that you had just scored a position at one of the UK’s largest manufacturing, import and export companies.

Final Fantasy 7R review

I finished the game this morning and I already have regrets that there’s nothing left for me to do besides replay and anxiously wait for news of the next installment. I want more. I want to not have finished it yet. I need to know what happens next, not just in the updated story, but with the game mechanics, too. I’m happy the team is taking their time to make the game as good as it deserves to be, but on the other hand I wanna throw a toddler tantrum demanding the rest of my game!

The bad stuff

To be fair, not a lot from where I’m sitting. I’ve seen people bitch about textures and how the scrap yards don’t look dynamic enough and some stuff is flat, but seriously, why are yall looking at the walls? They’re the least interesting thing about the game and you’re just nitpicking. The graphics overall were amazing and I stopped multiple times just to rotate the camera and take in this massive city we actually get to really explore for the first time ever!

I have to admit a slight disappointment in the amount of space, verbally, that was happening. There were times where I expected characters to make comments and they said nothing. Things were overlooked or just not addressed and it wasn’t even anything plot related, just a point where there could have been dialogue and it didn’t happen. It wasn’t often, but those few times the air was left dead I noticed it. The most notable time was in chapter 17, right after Sephiroth appeared on the gangway. Now, I get them being too shocked to say anything when he’s right in front of them, but after, when they separate and fall into two groups? Nothing? No comment? Tifa, I definitely expected to say something in a shocked tone, but even after they found Cloud again, she didn’t mention it. It was like the moment didn’t happen. I know the other times nobody else but Cloud saw him, but this time they saw him, and he’s linked to Tifa’s past too, so she definitely should’ve had some kind of comment in that empty space.

That was the only major point, but other small ones were when people were talking and one character remains silent. The only one I expect to never speak if he doesn’t have to is Cloud. Because it’s Cloud. Everyone else should have something to say. Like when they climbed the stairs. If you took the stairs - I was all done in from so many fights and just wanted a break - then you got hilarious commentary from Barret, Cloud and Tifa. It showed how close they’ve become. Cloud made a joke! His second one of the game! If you missed the first, it’s likely because you obsessed over him going on about money all the time and saying that’s all he cares about when he’s with Tifa. So, yeah, after being shown how the group can talk to each other and banter I’m hoping Square adds more chatter to the next game. I know some people prefer less chatter, but this is a group of people who are supposed to be shown as friends, so conversation is important.

The other thing that got on my nerves was the mechanics of the weapons upgrade. Unless I missed a shortcut, having to go out of each one and then into the next one instead of just switching over to the next weapon’s skill tree. It took a long time to level things up and I wish there was an option in the auto to just unlock every skill one at a time, so they’d do it on auto without me having to go in there. And the ATB. That got on my nerves. I’m lazy af, so I’d like for action to just pause whenever someone’s atb fills so I can give them a command and then go back to the battle instead of having one eye on all the atbs. It’s probably more classic than Square wants to go with it, but having that as a battle option would be nice and a further throwback to the old style of gameplay.

The good

Everything from chapter 3 onwards. The intro chapters were good, too, but I really just wanted to dig into the game and that didn’t happen until chapter 3. The VAs killed it! Graphics were amazing! The weapon abilities were fun and added something different to the regular gameplay style of just grabbing the next strongest weapon. Side quests were enjoyable and I wish there was more of them, especially a save the citizens for after the plate fell. That really would've hammered home the tragedy.

The story

I’ve seen people - mostly OG fans - bashing the new elements. Sure, the whispers are a weird angle to come at it from, but the explanation for them, that they’re trying to maintain the OG storyline, made for an interesting twist on a 25 year old story. Sephiroth’s early appearance was just something that had to happen, along with a Jenova fight, because, come on, this section of the OG was like 3hrs worth of content and this is 40hrs, so ofc they had to include new things and it matches with the new storyline and I think people need to release their death grip on the OG storyline and enjoy this game for what it is. 

I found the ripple effect(?) interesting too. From what we learned, the OG happened in the future. If things hadn’t changed that’s the future everyone was heading towards. Ok, cool, pretty simple. 

This timeline had small changes. Biggs, Wedge and Jessie survived!? Or did Wedge finally get shoved off a building at the end, I really couldn’t tell if he bought it that time, but if he did I’m mad cause he was adorable. The plate falling didn’t have as big a casualty number as originally, either. And Hojo almost spilled the beans to Cloud early, but was cut off, and that’s the other thing Cloud ignored in dialogue afterwards, but it’s Cloud, so we’ll give him a security pass for that. The others ignoring his Ptsd induced freak outs isn't cool though and I expect Square to fix that level of callousness towards him from the others.

Those are the only two changes from the OG. Sephiroth showing up early instead of in Nibelheim doesn’t really matter. He’s his usual cryptic asshole self and his goal is unchanged. The team just knows he’s the big bad earlier now and have a solid goal instead of just randomly wandering after they leave Midgar. So, yeah, does Biggs, Wedge and Jessie living make a big difference overall? Will that ripple from them being alive make further changes?

We also saw that Zack survived because of our team, but the Zack in their timeline is still dead. I think we saw it this way because the planet is trying to find a way to prevent being hit with Meteor and ending up with geostigma, so the OG timeline, everything was still bad. Our timeline gives possibilities for a slightly better future and then the timeline behind it - the one with Zack - offers even better odds, not that we’ll see that. That’s the timeline I think Aerith will live through, so that way Square can say Aerith lives, just not in the game we play now.

Shipping

I’m not into wars, so if you love Aerith, cool good for you, I was focused on building affinity with Tifa and Square didn’t disappoint! There were so many romantic moments between them! And damn do they have chemistry! I squeed at such a high pitch the dog next door started howling! All the small touches, longing looks, affection, support, trust and OMGOSH IT WAS JUST THE BEST!!! They were so damn cute!!

I have no idea how the game changes if you focus on Aerith and to be honest I don’t want to. I think that’s what I love about the options for that. You can choose and no one can say your choice isn’t valid. 

One thing though, I would like an end to it because it’s 25 years of people arguing and it’s made the entire fandom toxic af and it’s actually the reason I avoid most of the final fantasy discourse because people can’t be civil to each other. Square should finally say once and for all that Cloud/ is canon and the other isn’t, instead of throwing a bone to them and being all “maybe if things were like this”, like no, pull on your big boy pants, Square, man tf up like Barret on a mission, and tell people who is the canon pairing in this damn game so people can just stfu and enjoy playing it without getting flamed.

This is why I want a FF8R because at least there’s no doubt who the couple is in that one.

Smol stuff

I’ve seen complaints about new characters being 1 dimensional, but they’re new characters in a game series that’s a trilogy, so they’re likely gonna appear again. Roche seemed added not just to give Cloud a boss to fight in the bike event, but also to show there’s other SOLDIERs beyond Cloud and Zack and the ones from Crisis Core, which not everyone has played.

Same goes for Leslie. I liked that dude and I’m interested to see him pop up again. His design wasn’t the typical bad guy henchman, easily disposed, thank you very much for playing. He has a story and I’m betting that’s not the last we see of him.

Again, same goes for Cloud’s infantry buddies. I’ve not played CC, but I get they’re from that, so will we see them again at some point? What about other CC characters?

Best Bits

Cloud in a dress. “Nailed it, thank you, moving on.”

Cloud dancing. Boy got moves and I wanna see him dance again!

Cloud/Tifa. Complimenting her like a smooth mutherfucker.

Cloud/Tifa Battle couple. They were my absolute favourite fighting combo and definitely kicked all the ass!

Cloud/Tifa. All the shipping bits, but especially jumping off the train and then trusting her to go kick Corneo’s ass. That’s how you show you know your girl

Wedge. Kitty momma

Biggs death. Damn you, Square, you got me all choked up.

Red. Specifically the bit where he highfived Barret with his tail lool

Reno. Just Reno in general killed me. Love his conscience though and that he’s not a 1 trick pony.

Tifa/Aerith. Had more chemistry than Aerith/Cloud. Yeah, I said it.

I want moar! I really hope the next one comes out soon! It’s not the same as OG, but has the best bits of OG along with something new to bring in a new generation of fans. The alt timeline angle feels fresh and open to possibilities and I’m excited to play this game for what it is, instead of comparing it and demanding for the OG like a crusty whisper lool

And she’s never gone further than messing his hair up or tugging a bit at his clothes, since she doesn’t have the strength to move Kiri all that much haha the only reason she managed to have him fall the first time was because he was balancing already, but generally Kiri weighs way too much for her to move him around or pull at the red stuff he’s wearing enough for him to notice it all that much 

anyway, Baku never reprimended her for it - not more than he did in the first comic I posted with them, at least, specifically because the damage she can make is so minor that Kiri and Baku barely consider it something to tell her off for... if she were ever to act that way towards someone she might actually hurt (say, a kid her own age) then Baku might reprimend her more seriously, but as long as she’s just tugging at Kiri’s clothes they don’t see it as anything worth fighting her over :D

What a good question you got there!! She has control over everything that has a color that falls in the red wavelength of the visible spectrum - that does include certain tones of pink and certain tones of orange, but there’s a point where orange gets too yellow or pink gets too white that her powers stop working. As long as the red in the color is more than any other hue, though, her powers work!

She yells a bit too much at her dad tho, which Akane isn’t particularly fond of (protective bean that she is, she doesn’t get that that’s just their way of communicating just yet), so out of her grandparents she prefers Masaru, after all~

Jeno: sunshines. supports all the members but lives for that eyesmile. Most likely to be multifandom and just love everyone

Haechan: the most extra hoes you will ever meet. either love hyuck or hate him with all of their being. will kill for their bias probably

Jaemin: these kiddos have been so worried for like 2 years and honestly its just nice to see them happy. CUTIES, all of them
