Беркут (Aquila chrysaetus).

Беркут-одна из наиболее известных хищных птиц  семейства  ястребиных. Самый крупный орел — длина тела до 90 см, размах крыльев 180–240 см. Самки гораздо крупнее самцов — их вес достигает 6,7 кг, у самцов — до 4,6 кг. Окраска тёмно-бурая, на затылке золотистые перья. Крылья широкие и длинные, хвост закруглён. У молодых птиц основание хвоста и пятна на подкрыльях белые. У старых птиц рулевые перья с беловатым основанием. Очень крупные когти, которыми беркут захватывает свою добычу. Клюв крючкообразно загнут вниз, массивный.

Населяет обширные верховые болота и леса по их окраинам. Везде редок. Огромные гнёзда (в некоторые из них может вместиться лошадь) строит на деревьях, устраивая их в развилке крупных ветвей у ствола. Строительный материал — толстые сучья деревьев, внутри гнездо выстилается травой и шерстью. В кладке 1–3 грязно-белых с бурыми пестринами и крапинками яйца. Насиживание длится 45 дней. Молодые птенцы покрыты белым с сероватым налётом пухом, который впоследствии заменяется чисто белым. Проводят в гнезде 2 месяца, после чего некоторое время держатся около гнезда, самостоятельными становятся спустя месяц. Беркут ведет оседлый образ жизни, часть птиц в осенне-зимний период кочует.

Питается в основном грызунами и падалью. Иногда нападает на животных покрупнее — на сусликов, зайцев, хорьков, и даже лис. Может охотиться и на животных, превышающих его вес, но только в том случае, если это детеныш или больное животное. Часто охотится на птиц, догоняя их в воздухе. Подолгу летает за птицами, которые летают быстрее его, но менее выносливые, после чего с легкостью схватывает уставшую, загнанную птицу.

Sometimes it attacks larger animals - gophers, hares, ferrets, and even foxes. It can hunt animals that exceed its weight, but only if it is a cub or a sick animal. Often hunts birds, catching up with them in the air. Flies for a long time after birds that fly faster than him, but are less resilient, after which he easily catches a tired, hunted bird.

OmgGshdhs The newest dribble about Fox Sun and Moon? Muah chef's kiss. I love this idea so much, I hope you will continue the idea maybe creating it into a fic because I would devour it, it's giving a little cryptic sightings vibes with boys being the inhuman creature, and there is so many different scenarios and possibilities with the story, sceneries and characters. This au is already living rent free in my head, how can one person be full of so many marvellous ideas? Naff you are an angel, sending love!

I just can't thinking about the blorbos and placing them in AUs! I'm also really happy you guys will indulge with me.

With the fox men and Hare Y/N, I can't stop thinking about the aftercare of their broken leg, after the screaming, of course, and how diligent Sun and Moom are in keeping the restless hare still so the bone can heal straight. The boys will take turns carrying Y/N outside of the den so they don't go stir crazy and help them forage some food and talk about how to watch for the silver glint of metal traps hidden in the snow. Y/N is still very wary towards the fox men but has little choice in trusting them (even after an escape attempt which, ah, went less than steller.)

Also--there's a blizzard one night and Y/N gets the comfort of two fox cuddles with their thick and warm fur.

Scent is so important to my misce identity. When I get told I smell nice or when I can smell my alpha or smell things are around before I see them it's so... <33

Like if I can smell my order is up before it's actually placed down I get such a rush of joy. I'm not dog kin or a canine therian by any means so that doesn't play into it. (I'm Bunny and snow leopard, dependant on the day)

It just feels nice to smell strawberries before I see them or sniff in the fridge to see if I want anything in there. (9/10 it's a carrot or strawberries bc ofc it is)

maybe this is a therian post but it also plays into my misce identity. hm..

I spent most of yesterday decluttering my closet bookshelf. deeply frustrating experience, for many reasons, but that's neither here nor there.

one of the lower shelves has a bunch of the books I read in high school, and while I was reorganizing it I ended up rereading the first chapter of one flew over the cuckoo's nest, and man, I think that's still far and away my favorite book I've read. like the prose of it is so fucking wild, it's frenetic and surreal and misanthropic and nauseating in a really compelling way.

usually terms like "psychedelic" are much easier to apply to visual or audio media than print, just because like, it doesn't have to spend as much time in the thinking part of your brain, there's an immediacy there, on some level it's pure sensory input that gets processed by instinct and doesn't have to route through your language unit before it hits your imagination. stu mackensey making a weird noise with a guitar pedal and saying some quasi-nonsense, or SHAFT using mixed media and nonliteral colors while painting the screen with arararagi guts is like, easy mode. your brain wants it. but ken kesey managing to elicit those kinds of feelings purely through written word the way he did is kind of fucking incredible.

I hope someday I can do that.
