#so I’m in this dance group #and the last time we had a big performance was before COVID #and we’ve gotten back together just this year but some people have moved #basically four people I think are really cool (including my crush) live in a big city a couple hours away #anyways I’ve only really hung out with them once and I felt like the annoying little kid so I thought they just tolerated me #anyway one of those people’s partners told me today that they miss me (as I’m the group)#and at first I’m like #people miss me?#but like wow some of the coolest people I’ve ever known actually think of me when I’m not there #even though we’ve never actually really hung out #and while there was a slim chance the person told me this was doing it to be nice #that would be weird because it was a non sequitor in our conversation #and I don’t think they know (hopefully) just how desperate I am to hang out with that group #anyway no one’s gonna read this but that one slight conversation is the highlight of my day #and I literally just had my last day of being a janitor and I’m about to start my backup dream job next week

My hope for next season and leading into the Olympic season is that the ISU somehow revives womens skating cause yes it’s beautiful yes it’s lovely but is it exciting? Ehhhh.

In my personal opinion it’s the discipline that’s stagnated the most post Covid. You can argue that the crown goes to ice dance in that regard but even though the judging is shitty and the ISU insists on ridiculous themes for the rhythm dance we’re still getting quality and creativity through the bouts of corruption.

I just feel like women’s choreography has plateaued, it’s become uninteresting, very little memorable programs. Same elements same ordering same music like it’s becoming a by bland to watch. And my honest wish for the future is to reignite the spark it once had.

#to clarify this post is not about the power vacuum that occurred when Russia was banned so please do not come saying that I’m pro Russia #and this does not mean bringing back ultra c elements or quads but like #and let’s bring back competitive rivalries like why is everything so stale oml #can we get some DIVERSITY #we’re at the point where I physically refuse to sit down and watch every group of women in an event because it’s so samey samey #get some inspiration get some different music choices and let’s save the event #like ice dance is in the dirt rn but at least we get some variety somewhat #need these coaches and choreographers WORKING during the off season fr #figure skating

Happy Easter from the Egg Boiz

I truly hate how this fandom talks about George and the misinformation which continue to perpetuate despite all the efforts to educate people about him. It's kind of killed my enjoyment tbh.

Like you just wanna have fun but then you gotta read all this shitty stuff about him from people in the same fandom as you.

feels like old days to get an anon about George and fandom…. but it’s true bc people still don’t give him a second thought for the most part and still don’t really care about what he was about or anything. the fact that it’s even controversial to say anything about being unsure about or uncomfortable with the way his work or opinions or input are being handled for now and then pretty much says it all

#it’s weird to me that it feels like dancing on eggshells #that to say anything questioning how the then and now stuff is going down #is indicative of being a hater for no reason or being against the song or against Paul or that you’re ruining the fun of the whole thing #rather than just being I think very fairly critical about the proceedings while still giving a shit about the song #because I do and I’m really excited. but I have so so so many criticisms and so many things holding me back #from feeling totally supportive of what they did with George’s work! and how he’s being talked about and treated in this #like yes there are many many Beatles songs this happened with when he was alive and it happens in any band #not every song is a full representation of every artist in the group ESP with the Beatles #but this feels different . because he IS gone and it IS a nostalgic retrospective on their work and it IS being treated #as one of the biggest deals in the bands history #well I’ll say this it’s no traded off solo sections in The End .#op #b talks #the beatles #george harrison

Positivity moment y’all! My confidence, ability, and fun with dancing have improved so much since my surgery, and I think I may be finally to the point where I’m ready to share my choreography with people 😊

#so i might audition for a choreographer for our dance team at school if they want student ones again this year #BUT they seem to do mostly hip-hop stuff where I’m like a mix of k-pop girl group and musical theater #but also! maybe in like a year and a half I could try to choreograph our children’s theater show #because those are mostly student-led #fun times for probby 😊#not tes
