the funny thing about being an older sibling is watching as the younger siblings slowly realize what a loser i am
#/gen i really do find it funny#the sibling closest to my age is only 17 months younger than me#so he NEVER thought i was cool#the next youngest is 10 years old and has made the transition from thinking im the coolest person in the world#(since im allowed to go to the mall by myself and stay home alone and dye my hair and get piercings)#to thinking im a complete loser#my youngest brother is 7 years old#and he still thinks im cool#but i think hes starting to catch on to the fact that im just some guy#from his perspective i am an all-knowing deity with the most expansive minecraft knowledge in the world#as i know how to download mods and datapacks and make my own minecraft skins.#he also regularly requests that i 'take care of him' (his words) when mom has to leave before dad is home#but he also thought my eyebrow piercing was stupid#and is in general starting to realize how unbearably dorky i can be#(i finally understand why my parents are Like That. is is so fucking funny to watch kids get embarrassed because you did a stupid dance in#the bread aisle at walmart)#he also likes to call me nerd dork loser etc bc those are things i call my siblings all the time#^ not with any malice of course. being mean is my family's collective love language#it's that push and pull of being deliberately obnoxious and dorky so everyone else in the room can groan and call you an idiot yknow

#star wars#the original trilogy#boba fett#darth vader#hi. sorry for star war jumpscare. genuinely#i feel like ive kinda been on an art hiatus lately due to health stuff#i got diagnosed with a parathyroid disease recently (wahoo) so now i know why i have been feeling so bad! need more tests though#anyway. in the mean time most of the entertainment my brain can handle has been like. youtube clip compilations of shows and movies#not even the actual shows or movies. literally just sections of them on youtube#i wish i was joking#the only reason i know what happens in succession is because i have watched it in disjointed order in youtube compilations. not joking#anyway so ive learned a lot more about star wars than i ever. thought i would#mostly just the original trilogy and prequels. some of the old comics & books are interesting too#(sick to my stomach) i like darth vader he has like the same personality as ganondorf except he had no good reason for doing anything#when vader/anakin does literally anything weird or unacceptable it like. makes me laugh so hard its like jerma when he sees a car accident#boba fett’s costume design has been rotating in my head a lot too it’s very good#he’s very colorful and like. matte/unpolished compared to vader and it makes them a cool duo visually#those 2 are my favorites. vader why is the space cowboy the only person aside from sidious or tarkin who is allowed to get mad at you#sidious is my 3rd favorite. he sucks so bad as like a person that you just. you have no expectations of him except just being evil#so its just really funny like everything he does is horrible and he’s so happy all the time like good for him#i’m making it sound like ive never seen star wars before. i have i just never really cared about it until i got an endocrine disorder lmao#but yeah idk art may continue to be slow while im figuring out treatment stuff#if anyone reading this also has or has had hyperparathyroidism im wishing the strength & radiance of 1000 beautiful horses upon you

I'd probably have to read the printed version and web version back to back at some point to note all the differences but... ough
#sorry i'm going to be excited about this comic for the next month#nofna#okay having finished this now--#and sorry if this doesn't make sense to anyone who's completely unfamiliar with this comic in advance-#the 'popcorn ending' (printed version) is nice to see but i think the web version hits harder. if that makes sense#so i'm kinda tied on which ending i 'prefer'- i think both are good though#also considering i've read the web version a good 4-5 times and the printed version only once- i probably can't make that judgement yet#easy answer- i do like Nutsedge :] so it's nice to see the ending where nothing bad happens to her#but also- NT suddenly becoming a greenie-esque villain out of nowhere felt a little jarring#as well as SV suddenly turning a corner and becoming a 'good guy' (arguable)- considering the first three books are about#/him being too stubborn to change or accept any outside worldviews . Him suddenly coming to his senses felt out of place#<- probably biased because i like characters being bitter to the end and ultimately destroyed by their own hubris#the web version is probably‚ objectively‚ a bit better#but -#(spoilers- if you're planning to drop ~70 bucks on getting these books)#the conceit of SV actually perfecting his style‚ using it once‚ and then immediately getting tooth-brained- was pretty cool#assuming it's meant to parallel him spending months tormented by trying to perfect it while something's still missing-#and then dying before he can narrate it to the audience‚ so that we never know what he figured out.#hard to articulate these thoughts but tl;dr- popcorn ending also had a lot to think about

funny story, in the last ghosted talentswap collab someone suggested biker kiyo and i've been wanting to do it since then, and then when deceit rolled which character i'm doing and what talent they will be getting, turns out i did get the ultimate biker gang leader, BUT IT'S SHUICHI HAHA🤣 which is also super fun because 1. you would never imagine shuichi being a delinquent, 2. shuichi's talent is basically in the law department while being in a gang likely involves illegal stuff so 👀
overall i'm really proud of this, shuichi looks and doesn't look like himself at the same time lol (for those of you saying shuichi's canon design is emo, no that's goth this is real emo /j) i am also never drawing a motorcycle ever again :)))) (i do want to expand on this au though, specifically adding kiyo i already have notes for him hehe)
