good friend that he is, Bowie goes with, and especially bc Bowie DOES know how to skate - pretty well actually. he's no figure skater/hockey player/etc, but if Bowies going to do anything in public he's going to do it well. he can make his way around the rink with ease, manage a little fancy footwork when he wants to, enough to pull a minor trick out of his hat. besides, what's the point of doing something if you can't show off a little bit? never hurts to catch someone's eye, or establish yourself to your peers as someone who knows what they're doing -- and really, Bowie's counting on his reputation to ensure those prom votes.

Bowie had seen already that Raj was a little nervous talking to him, if plenty enthusiastic. You sharpen your ax, occasionally keeping an eye on Jackie’s figure. Nathalie furrows her brows and rolls her eyes at a sleeping Jackie. Everyone else is awake and active, already up to their chores. It’s not like you tried to get her to wake up and participate for at least…three times.

“C’mon Jackie. Up and at ‘em or something.”

She throws clothes on the lymphatic figure, making you stifle back a chuckle.

“Five more minutes…I’m cramping.”

Jackie groans, rolling over to her back, the light fully blinding her eyes. Nat scoffs, brushing past you, seemingly haven given up on willing her to move.

“We’re all cramping. Congrats, we’re synchronising.”

She mutters, stopping at your side.

“Can you get your girl to…I don’t know, move?”

You huff, raising an eyebrow. What makes her think that Jackie will listen to you?

“Uh, well, I mean I can try? But—”

“Just deal with it.”

She adjusts her handkerchief back on her face, leaving and mumbling something about “princess” behaviour.

Sighing, you cast her a glance, not knowing her eyes are still fixed on you.

“Why did you leave me all cold and…cold?”

The blonde whined more than grumbled. An adorable sight, really. You chuckle, rising to your feet, leaving the ax to lean on the wall. As you approach her she throws you her sweater, only for her to miss and make it fall to the floor.

You pick up the clothing and hide your laughter behind it. She pinches your side once you’re in close range.

“Not. Funny.”

“I know, I know. I’m sorry.”

Your hands reach hers, lifting them to your lips, pressing gentle kisses on her knuckles. You move once again, but her hands finds yours and tugs you forward, making you land practically on top of her.

“Stay.”

Your rightfully so grumpy girlfriend grumbles, clutching on to the fabric of your already damaged shirt. She inhales your earthy scent— pine, dirt. A contrast to your familiar scent of apples and cinnamon. Somehow…it still comforts her. Knowing it’s still you.

“Let me get you something for your cramps. We can’t have you sick all day.”

“But all I need is you, babe…”

Her eyes looks up to yours, drawing you closer with her hands laced around your neck. You look down at her, shaking your head in disapproval and cringing in mock disgust.

“That was…that was terrible. As in, jailtime terrible.”

Your hands finds her hips, wriggling your fingers on your sides so she could let go of you. She giggles, the sound strangely adding an invisible layer of warmth to your clothes.

“I’m serious, Jax. Let me at least try to find something for your cramps. It’s non negotiable.”

Your eyes scan the area in what seems to be a sad attempt at looking for something useful. The girl beside you rolls her eyes, flopping on her back.

“You think Dead Guy had painkillers and a hot water bottle along with his magazine stash?”

She exasperates, but her words makes you sit straight a little. You leave the bed to reach for your bag. A very confused and scared Jackie sits on her elbows.

“You’re not going to give me the magazines are you?”

You scramble through your bag and find your thermos, a bright smile radiating your face at finding something that could be possibly helpful.

“I got something remotely better than that. Besides, you don’t need those when there’s me.”

“Creep.”

“You love it.”

You wink, walking over the fireplace and filling your thermos with hot water. Once you’re done you pick up the clothing she tried throwing at you, wrapping your makeshift hot water bottle around it before handing it to Jackie.

“It’s…I don’t know if it will help, but…”

She gratefully takes it, slipping the warm thermos under her shirt and sighs in relief.

“I mean, it’s better than nothing…thanks, really.”

A small, genuine smile since this morning adorns her face, tugging you closer to her once again.

“But I would feel better if you would join me…”

You’ve got logs to chop. Though in all honesty? As soon as you heard her complaints you wanted to rush to her side. Your chores can wait. Besides, you’ll wake up earlier tomorrow to help anyone with their chores.

“Please?”

She adds, circling your knuckles. You smile, joining under the covers and pulling her closer to your chest, making sure the thermos is still correctly pressed to her skin. After a short moment of adjusting you find a comfortable position. For her sake more than yours.

“Are you alright?”

The question was easy. Perhaps even obvious. She was alright. More than. It reminded her of times where you would take care of her before the crash, where you would bring her favourite ice cream and play Smashing Pumpkins, or Mazzy Star. A memory that would latch onto her the most, is when you slow danced in her room. You were a classic kind of lover, but she payed no mind to it. If anything, it made her feel wanted, loved. As if she’s the only planet that you would ever want to live on.

“Hey? Jax?”

That concerned look in your eyes makes her want to duck away or get pulled into them. She didn’t know whether to feel guilty for having you stay here with her, or relieved.

“No, no, I was just…y’know. Thinking.”

“Okay….am I allowed to get into that pretty little head of yours to know what it is you’re thinking about?”

Your lips brush against her forehead, a barely even there kiss. It still surprised her how you still kept your lovesick, affectionate nature.

She chuckles and nuzzles your neck, her breath tickling you.

“It’s silly.”

“Nothing could ever be silly with you.”

“It is.”

“Just say it.”

Her silence was uncharacteristic. Usually she’d talked to you about every and anything that went on her mind, while you tried not to get lost in the way her hair would shine, how she would wave her hands to emphasise her point, or how she would flick your forehead to get back your attention.

It takes her seconds, probably even minutes to answer. But you wait, patiently. You rest your chin on her head

“It’s just…you’re always here for me.”

She mutters so quietly, almost like a whisper. She pulls away from your neck, her eyes meeting yours, your soft gaze nearly making her heart flip. It was almost unfair the way you had a hold on her.

“And not just, well, physically. It’s like you’re here for me…mentally? I don’t know how to explain it but you treat me like I’m a part of you.”

Amidst her rambling, you stare into her eyes again. A pang of embarrassment runs through her. She’s about to apologise for how nonsensical she’s being when you pepper her face with soft kisses. Her face flushes wild, a warmth that spreads across her face all the way to the tips of her ears.

“The wilderness really made you cheesy, huh?”

“Shut up.”

She playfully slaps you before pulling you in for a sweet kiss. Her lips are chapped, rough, not the strawberry balm you’ve gotten used to and imprinted on your brain. Even so, it’s addictive. She’s so tender, so gentle with you, you could almost break.

You pull back breathlessly, trying to catch your breath. Her hands run through your hair before cupping your cheeks, while you try your best to keep your heart at a stable rhythm again. She smiles, a silly grin, one that makes you want to kiss her senseless until she forgets her own being.

“I…promise to be here for you. Not just physically, or even mentally but…all kinds of presence. You’re important to me. And I don’t know what’s gonna happen to us. But I want you to be here with me.”

Her eyes soften at your nervous ramblings, how you stumble around your words.

“You really are stuck with me, aren’t you?”

Her words carry a sense of tease but the meaning behind them is genuine. You truly are stuck with her.

“Wouldn’t want it any other way. I mean, I can have lots of things…or anything, really. But you’ve got a hold on me, so…I guess you’re more important.”

“You guess?”

She pokes your chest, causing you to shake your head and clarify what you truly meant.

“No, no I mean what I wanted to say was, is…I mean…”

How you can go from being playful to nervous is so endearing to her. But she allows you some time to gather your thoughts.

At the end, you hide your face at the crook of her neck, your words still failing you. It’s most likely because of the kiss that still warms you than the confession.

“God you’re impossible.”

“Me? You’re the one that’s “guessing” I’d be more important than any other thing!”

“You are valuable than any other thing! That…that counts. A lot more than we can think of. I mean…there are some people who have anything they want or wish for. I don’t know exactly how that works but…I have what I need. You’re what I need.”

You mumble, squeezing your eyes shut. She gently pulls you away and reaches for your hands, intertwining them together.

“You mean that, right? Not just guessing?”

You roll your eyes, not fighting the smile breaking your face.

“No guesses.”

Her fingers squeezes yours, tugging you into another kiss, a kiss that is sweeter than anything you’ve had. It’s not hungry but it feeds you with promises.

LMAOO to be fair i barely proofread so there’s always more than a couple of mistakes in my stories but i think it’s fair considering how much i write…if i extensively proofread everything it would take forever for me to upload so i do two quick readthroughs just to catch anything super egregious (first for grammar, second for awkward bits of dialogue/sentence structure) and that’s about it. typically for something in the 5-10k range it takes me an hour or so?? but given the length we’re working w here it might be a bit longer

i think it’s so fun experiment!! the bfb one is super fun i agree…the karasu version has me drooling though like as much as i love otoya karasu is SOO handsome it just automatically looks sm better w him

Techno dropped the brush from his hand, eyes wide as he heard Dream yell, voice laced with pain. He put aside the dog he was tending to aside gently and hastily moved to the exit.

“I’m sorry. I’ll give you more treats just—” he said to the dog on whose tail he had accidentally stepped on. He closed the fence behind him and ran to the house. Where was Phil?

“I need you, you idiot,” Dream yelled once again. Techno dashed up the stairs, his heart threatening to burst out of his ribcage.

“What happened? You better not have done anything stupid to yourself, Dream,” Techno pushed the door. It didn't budge. “Oh my god. I’m coming to you okay? Just hold on.”

Techno pushed against the door with his whole body. “Please god, open!”

“I’m sorry,” Dream was crying now. “The door wont open— god im so stupid.”

Techno went to Phil’s house. “Phil! Phil, where are you?” There was no answer.

“Dream, listen to me,” Techno said after trying to open the door for the last time. His eyes were closed and he took a deep breath before “You’re not okay now but you’re going to be alright? I'm coming to get you— just take deep breaths until then. Deep breaths and don't panic alright?”

Techno went to the basement door. It was locked from the other side. “Oh god this was a terrible idea.”

Pulling out the axe, Techno swung it on the door. The wood creaked.

“What— what’re you doing?” Dream’s asked.

“I’m going to break the basement door,” Techno spoke as the few splinters here and there. The foxes inside squeaked. “Just a moment. Almost there.”

The gap created was enough for Techno to squeeze in. The foxes gathered around him. “Not here for you, get aside!”

Techno climbed up the stairs and stopped as Dream came into the view. Dream was looking at him with tears in his eyes clutching his arm.

“I promise I didn't do anything to myself,” Dream squeaked as Techno climbed the rest of the stairs. “Look— watch the glass.”

The chests were on the ground, Dream leaned against one and the others blocked the door. The pieces of glass strewn across the floor, blood, water and potions alike along with it. Ores and ingots spilling from one of the chests along with grains made the floor almost unwalkable.

Techno carefully walked towards Dream who was sobbing as he held his own hand. One side of Dream’s face was blood. The man’s face was messy with tears, snot and blood alike. Techno knelt down and took the other’s face in his hands, making the sobbing man look at him.

“I— I was just taking stuff and I tripped—,” Dream started through tears.his hand desperately grabbing Techno’s shoulder.

“Hey hey look at me,” Techno wiped Dream’s face. “Look at me deep breaths. Just as we practiced. Come on now.”

Techno inspected the hand and Dream pulled away.

“It’s crushed. The fucking ore chest fell on it,” Dream cursed. The little glass particles were stuck on the side of his face and abdomen.

“You just healed fully a week ago,” Techno mumbled. “I’m going to pick you up alright? But I need you to stop crying.”

Dream nodded. With one careful swoop Techno picked up Dream bridal style. They somehow made it down the stairs and out in the open. Dream whimpered as Techno lowered him into the snow.

Techno handed Dream a knife. “I’ll be right back okay? I got to patch this up before you lose blood and become paler.”

Technoblade rummaged through the chests angrily. How did he not hear the chests fall? Grabbing a few potions he went out to Dream sitting against the wall.

“Here drink up,” Technoblade pushed the potion bottle against his lips but Dream turned away.

“Can you just not heal me up without this?”

“Do you have any idea how injured you are?”

“It makes me feel sick.”

“Then let it. It's just for pain I promise. Only long enough so I could stitch your deep cuts.”

“No.”

Technoblade glared at him. “How could you just be stupid and then stubborn afterwords. Do you have any idea? I thought they were here and— and you, Phil.”

Techno was trying to calm his racing heart, one hand on the sword handle. “I still don't know where Phil is.”

Dream had never heard Techno’s voice so small. Techno dusted his hands and looked at Dream and held out the potion bottle. “It’s made from poppies. I know you like poppies. It's just for pain, Dream.”

Dream just stared, whining and whimpering like a wounded puppy. He groaned as he shifted.

“If you’re gonna keep up with that,” Techno raised his eyebrow. “You’re— you’re not gonna last that long.”

“Yeah that's what she said,” Dream chuckled and then gritted his teeth because of pain.

“I swear to god the nerve you have right now to joke with me,” Techno facepalmed.

“I was just— just trying to make you calm,” Dream blinked his eyes. “Give it.”

“What?”

“The potion, dumbass.”

Techno tossed the bottle at Dream. After the green-eyed man couldn't unscrew it, Techno sighed and helped him drink it.

“What am I going to say, Punz?” Techno asked Dream. “You tripped down the stupid alley?”

“Yeah yeah real creative,” Dream flashed a mocking smile as he felt the potion working. “I'm sorry.”

“Don't be. I should have been around.”

“I'm not always going to be here, you know. For you to babysit me.”

“Shut up.”

Dream shrugged and looked at the baby blue sky. The arctic was silent.

“Punz is going to beat both our asses,” Dream mumbled.

“I know. I'm going to get a hearing man. He’ll be like— I left him with you for two days. Two days Techno!— and go about saying how stupid you are and how much more brain cells i got more than you.”

“He’ll huff like an angry bull and go around doing things for us like a mother hen.”

i’m liking tfatws, the second episode was veryyy intense imo but WANDAVISION IS SO GOOD😭 i knew it was going to be my favorite from the really old trailer but it’s really good and i promise it’s not just sitcoms, girl especially cuz you’ll have all the episodes already out- we were having to wait every week😭 BUT ITS SO GOOD I PROMISE HDJSHDJSH lmao reading this i was like “i- the episodes aren’t an hour long” but i feel that, it’s hard for me to watch tfatws bc they are an hour long and i’m like 😐 but wandavision episodes are less than 30mins bc I KID YOU NOT they have the damn 10 MINUTE CREDITS DHDJSJ no i don’t think we’ve talked about this b4 lol but it all depends on the series for me. i binged love island uk in less than a week bc i was so invested and LITERALLY LOVE IT but uh those episodes are like an hour and a half, but say i was binging tfatws (it’s so hard to type that ohmigosh) i honestly would not be able to do it bc of the intensity (you may be like what intensity but if you’ve seen episode 2 by the time you’re reading this.......... isaiah and the scene afterwards is all i have to say, esp me being black it was so tough :/)

for example i could say Einführungsveranstaltungsteilnehmer (which is not underlined with red by tumblr because it is a grammatically correct compound word (i think that‘s what they‘re called?)) which is the words introduction + event + participant, so that word just means “participant of an introductory event“ but instead it‘s one word? i hope that makes sense? dkdkkdksks i mean it makes sense in german but idk if it makes sense to you cause idk if i‘m explaining it very well lmao,

I used to watch all of my series in German (like H2O) bc obviously they were on german tv so they were german- and i knew that most of these actors i saw on tv were american and i was always SO fascinated that they all learned german for this show??? 7. are you a morning, day, evening, or night writer?

i looove getting up early (like... before sunrise) to write. i love getting up early in general tbh. my mind is just so FOCUSED when i intentionally wake up early, and it’s really easy to fill up my headspace with a whole agenda of things to do and knock out (see: rp drafts and memes). and the bonus of having all of these extra hours to get those things done and sometimes watch the sunrise while i’m at it?? immaculate. chef’s kiss. incomparable. unfortunately i haven’t had a lot of mornings like that since the endless lockdowns kind of threw my schedules out of loop, and since moving back to the states last year, i’ve been around my family more so i’ve had a lot less time for myself during the day. i've been doing most of my rp writing in the evenings and at night because that’s usually when i’ve had more time to write anything and to message/respond to ims. sometimes i’ll have really strong motivation to write when i’m not around my laptop or can’t physically get away from what i’m doing to write, so i’ll open up the notes app on my phone to jot down really brief thoughts or a rough layout of a thread reply! that happens all the time lmao.

8. how does tiredness affect your writing?

i can’t do it. ☹ if i’m tired, i usually do the best i can with a reply— i’ll finish it (or get somewhere that i, in my tired state, will think resembles being finished), but i draft it rather than post it right away so that i can review later on for typos or contradictions with past replies or inconsistencies with partner’s muse’s history. glaring errors like that. if i’m tired tired tho lmaoooo gg. i open up a draft and stare at my screen for the next two hours while my mind replays a soundbite of whatever tiktok video i last watched.

9. have you ever written a serious reply intoxicated?

i tried to do it one night because i was genuinely really curious to see if my replies would be any different? or if i’d have galaxy brain-induced writing?? i wasn’t planning to post any finished replies immediately lol (see above with how i usually draft my replies if i’d been really tired when i wrote them) BUT it was the same night my siblings and i went bar-hopping in nyc and like........ the only writing i got done that night in that little hotel room was the spam of texts i sent the guy from my program whom i apparently had a lot of unresolved mixed thoughts about. long story short— since that night, i have not tried again to write when i am anything beyond tipsy! really love that for me!! self care!!!

10. how much do you proof-read as you are writing vs. proof-read at the end?

i feel like i’m always proof-reading as i write! i like making sure that sentences flow well and that there’s a good, comfortable-sounding mix of long vs short sentences or sentence fragments (because lbr i use those a lot lmaooo). i like to make sure the dialogue sounds the way cho would say something and like to read and re-read what i’ve written every few sentences to make sure it’s easy for my rp partner to understand. when i’m finished a reply, i’ll read the whole thing all together— my partner’s initial reply plus my new reply— to see if it all flows well, and then i’ll make adjustments wherever certain things sound wrong or stand out to me in a bad way! but yeah i just think it’s good practice to always be checking what i write! i’m absolutely someone who revisits my replies a few hours or a day after i’ve posted them, and when i see something i suddenly don’t like as much as i did when i’d been proofreading, i absolutely pray that my partner hasn’t seen my reply yet and swoop in to make those edits right away loool.

Putting off writing down a few notes on astrology (my natal wheel and readings, in particular) to write about the last weekend.

(Side note, writing this using a wireless keyboard connected to my phone. I'm psyched!)

Anyway, the long weekend felt insanely looong for me. I currently spend my days at home only, so I have to do quite a lot to stay active (and mainly, to keep myself from being bored lmao). The last four days seemed wild af for the homebody in me; my social battery was drained as hell that I spent most of yesterday sleeping in just to compensate for everything I did.

Ayt, so Friday was supposedly chill. Only I kept thinking about what I could have done earlier in the day. I was up really early as I had a supposed appointment - na hindi naman natuloy cos ~reasons. I had so much time to kill before heading off to my original destination, Batangas. I hate being late to stuff, so I was kinda pissed when I didn't get to the city around 7 pm, as I originally estimated. Hirap 'pag traffic sa lahat ng lugar that I have to consider leaving really earlieeer from now on. Ugh, Pilipinas. Anyway, real adventure began the next day. We went to Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa. Now, that travel was insanely sakit sa pwet + init but really fun because of the people I was with. It's hard to keep fitting in, you know, but this chameleon is thankful that the people around me make it easier. I was actually really nervous to go to the amusement park as it has been yeeears since I last went to one (if I remember correctly, I'd only been to two amusement parks in the country since I flew back here six years ago. Went to EK - for the first time - in 2013 and to Star City in 2014; just a good six months apart, so that's just it for that kind of adventure. Had to get used to park rides when we had some in a mall in Saudi, but since I resided here, there's really nothing close to visit), so basically, I felt like I'd have a headache (what with the heat and I'm sure almost all rides were gonna make me dizzy af) and puke whatever I ate (resulting to eating so so little that day ugh I'm still sad).

Anyway, I still had so much fun with all the rides! The kid in me was excited for Anchors Away, Jungle Log Jam, EKstreme, Wheel of Fate, and Rio Grande. We went on almost every ride and by the time we went to Disco Magic (sp?), I was insanely dizzy I felt like I had to get off the ride halfway through - it was enjoyable, yes, but I wasn't really prepared for all the spinning, hayop 'yun. Luckily, they decided to chill, going to the new Agila theater - now, that was amazing. The clips shown in the theater could be used for greater opportunities for the country, really (lol sa'n na ba cred ng government sectors kakahiya mas matino pa marketing/pr sa iba sayang pondo hay). After that, we stayed at the food court - kamahal ng food mamami! Sinong kuripot lmao but anyway, that experience was another good thing for me again. Huy, sobrang kilig watching Kingsmen and Victoria's Way, pwede ba. Okay, sobrang kinilig talaga 'ko du'n legit HUHU I proved that my go-to kilig song still is This I Promise You and that I can get over songs I attached to certain people in the last few years lmaooo. Those performers should have more exposure, really. Daya ng mundo. Anywaaay, after which, we went to ride on AirRace, Space Shuttle, and EKstreme where I got another massive blast of headache good god I cried, but luckily, they decided Wheel of Fate would be our last ride. All in all, the experience is really fun, even when it was a health hazard at some points lol. It was insanely tiring plakda pag-uwi, but that level of tired felt really worth it after all the laughs and smiles the whole day.

The next day, there were unexpected guests. I conditioned myself before I slept that I had to go home already, but I really felt like sleeping in, so I was down til around 9? I had to wake up because some of our friends were heading to Lipa in around an hour and I could actually hitch a ride back to civilization (who was I to say no, really lol). I haven't seen these girls in more than a month, so it was a pleasant surprise that we were all there that day. We went to Nuvali after a quick lunch in Bojoks (good food!) where we went "biking" for the most part (biking in quotes as I didn't know how to bike they all had to teach and support me lmaooo I still didn't learn what a fail). Was a truly fun time with all of them. Minsan na lang talaga and feels so good to have done all that. Ride back home seemed so fast, but it was around 6pm when I got to SM too. Was just lucky that travel was insanely fast - thank you, long weekend.

When I got home though, there was a celebration for my sister so there were quite a lot of people at home. Soliiid ng pa-chicken and pa-pizza tyl pero more solid inom that I got hammered I was hungover til the next day and we had to still meet some people AT 11 IN THE MORNING IN QC. I'm hammered please don't talk to me ganon but nah can't escape them so. But all in all, craaaazy long weekend, but more more fun really! (I know I didn't really tell the story all well cos I don't have a lot of energy to write a better piece and proofread I'm so so sorry if you had to endure reading this lmao) I've had a few good days in the last year and this weekend is up there as well. I'm taking time again to recharge my physical and social battery as I deem they're both dead by now, but I'm taking all the good in the last few days with me to get me through too. I hope y'all had a great weekend as well and don't forget to take breaks as taking care of yourself is as insanely important as making time for the people in your life. :)
