I’ve had over 1,000 bots follow me in one day. This is getting ridiculous. I’m sorry if I block someone by mistake, but I’m not going to go through every profile again to check if they’re real or not. If you don’t have a profile pic, it’s on sight.

Then you are at the right place.

Go to your profile.

Then click on settings.

And go to account settings.

And click on messaging.

Then click on message to [your username]

Finally, click on only tumblr you follow can message you.

And that's the end. I hope this tutorial helped prevent annoying and thorny bots from messaging you.

After having tumblr for a total of (less than 6?) months, I am 90% certain a few hundred or so of you fellow tumblrs are real people. The rest are fake pornbots. So many pornbots. Just like dating apps. And the rest of the internet. And probably the rest of reality/simulation.

Tumblr and Instagram really needs to do something about these bots because it's getting really discouraging now to post.

I had to delete over half of my followers list by blocking and reporting them because they were bots
