hiii,, i wonder if it's weird to ask but.. what does it mean to be authentic self??? have a peaceful time whichever time it is at your side of the earth!!

thank you 🥺 i would say being authentic or having an authentic self is literally just valuing yourself in the present moment. valuing what you have to say, what you want to do, etc.

we’re all on a journey and we’re always changing, but taking the time to value yourself in each moment is the best way to be authentic. when what you do or say is sincere and genuine, honest, without keeping up with appearances and instead doing what you discovered makes you content. when you are aware that you know yourself best and you wield that instead of shun it in favour of people’s assumptions/opinions of you.

it’s a lot like being mindful, instead of being on autopilot, you’re doing and saying things that are true to you. and of course you make mistakes and make assumptions and that’s fine, you might even have a wrong self-perception, but part of being mindful is catching that and then transforming that into truth. and because you’re a living changing being, you’ll always be discovering something about yourself and the world that’s new, and i find that pretty damn exciting HAHAHA

but yeah, we’re always growing, and being authentic is simply being aware of yourself and protecting your values, and i hope you have a good satisfying day too 🥰🥰🥰

the facts are these: i’ve outlined a timeline with the continual help of @thehours2002 that highlights the route we believe would get melissa and barbara from work friends to affair (and beyond). i’m a bit obsessed with it and am so excited to share. the major hurdle at this point is finding the time to write!!

i was a bit worried that now that the season is over, people wouldn’t care as much. so it’s wonderful to hear that you would be interested in more!! i’m finding little morsels of time to write between planning my wedding and starting a new job, but those moments are real and happening, so there will most definitely be more fic from me in the future. it might just take a minute!
