I was just wondering how do you feel about Misako and Wu? Especially whatever they have going on in cannon

Do you guys get the joke?

Alright so it's no secret that I'm actually a fan of Misako and view her as a complex character that suffers from terrible writing and misogyny both in the fandom and in the team that works on NinjaGo. The love triangle between her, Wu, and Garmadon is a whole MESS -

That being said, I don't mind either Wusako or Garmasako as a ship. I think both have interesting aspects and can be done really well if they're handled correctly. The drama of being torn between two brothers, who are the physical embodiments of Creation and Destruction??? I'd pay to watch that spin off, not gonna lie.

On the one hand, you have Garmadon. Cursed since childhood to turn evil. Alienated by his father because of his curse, Garmadon makes an effort to overcome the evil in his veins whilst embracing the heritage of his element. He fights for NinjaGo's peace and safety, even if he knows that in due time, he may come to threaten it himself. All of this, and he falls for this beautiful, intelligent woman. Who chooses to keep him in her life regardless of his doomed fate. He loves her, and he would do anything for her.

Then there's Wu. The second son. Not the heir, but responsible for his downfall regardless. He's forced to watch as his beloved older brother gets shunned by their father for something he truly cannot help. Has to deal with favoritism, and how it affects the person he's closest to. He tries to branch out, to do good for his realm, to teach and take in those that need him. He brings up a son, a reckless little boy with power over the wind, and thinks he can give him a better future, only to ruin that too. Then his brother introduces him to a beautiful girl, whose intelligence rivals his own. She can outmatch his Spinjitzu, and she got a mind of her own.

Neither brother knows that they both admire her. She's torn between them both.

I think Misako's mindset is genuine in the sense that she loves and cares for both brothers. She's torn between two halves of the balance, loyal to the path of good, but drawn regardless to destruction and darkness. I think she chose Garmadon because he made the first move (not really, that was Wu but Garmadon stole his thunder), and it took the pressure off of her shoulders to choose for herself.

That being said - when Garmadon is banished, and she has to give up her son to keep her family safe from the prophecy of the Green Ninja, I think she loses hope. Not her feelings, but the hope that one day Garmadon will come home, and they can have their family again. That's why she starts to lean towards Wu when they're reunited. Old feelings rise up so fast, and she's helpless to her heart's desires.

Then Garmadon comes back, and she doesn't have to choose again. She can have her family, and that doesn't erase her torn feelings, but it settles them. For now.

Until she learns that the very reason she chose Garmadon, despite his evil and his inevitable fate, was a lie. That if Garmadon hadn't been who he was, she would have chosen his brother.

Misako realizes she has to make the choice for herself now. Because waiting for someone to step forward hurt her - hurt the elements she came to love - hurt her son. It tore her family apart, and drove a stake between the brothers. She never wanted them to fight over her, so she finally makes her choice - to refuse to choose.

I hate how

When we first see Misako, it appears that she is having lots of moments with Wu. As we continue through the seasons of Ninjago, this progresses, with Wu saving Misako from falling in The Day Ninjago Stood Still to the time Wu offered Misako a ride on his dragon in The Crooked Path. So it’s not that bad, right?

Wrong. During the time of the second season, when Wusako actually started becoming a thing, Garmadon was still alive, and we assume, still married to Misako! We hear nothing of a divorce! So if Miasko has not divorced Garmadon, then she is essentially cheating on him! Misako’s morality and worldview must be questioned here. She is knowingly choosing to have moments with Wu, while her husband is still alive. She even has the audacity to use Garmadon’s love for her to manipulate him. Granted, she is doing this to save Ninjago though.

Wu’s morality must also be questioned. If Wu has taken the time to think this through, he is basically dating his brother’s WIFE. Garmadon’s anger, if he found out, would be (or should be) unparalleled.

Why would Misako do this? We can understand why she might pull a move like this when she was younger, and still not sure whether she liked Wu or Garmadon better. Still, even a younger married woman should not go around with their husband’s brother. But she is a grown woman now, at least forty, and she had actually chosen to MARRY Garmadon. She took a real vow and swore to love him until death! With the knowledge that evil would eventually overcome him!

Just because he is evil does not mean that she is freed from her vow. Rather, her love and sympathy for him should grow, and she should be determined to continue loving him.

Most likely, she had an internal struggle with her feelings. This is only natural. Her husband has been taken by evil, and now that she sees him, she’s not sure she loves him anymore. Yet this should have steeled her determination to continue loving him. Instead, though, it appears she has let her feelings die, and is going with Wu now.

Later, after the Final Battle, when Lloyd’s powers have cleansed Garmadon, she turned back to him and hugs him. She chooses to move into the new Monastery with Garmadon as if nothing happened between her and Wu. During the Rebooted season, everything is back to normal, now that her husband’s good again.

After Garmadon dies, she is with Wu again

1. Wu’s character-he’s out of character once Misako appears. 2. Misako’s character-undefined, or at least confusing. 3. The logistics of “The Letter”-makes no sense unless Misako is hideously naive or ignorant.

The person who would be the most impacted by Wusako would first be Lloyd. Surprisingly, he doesn’t seem to have any concern at all over his mom and his uncle getting together. This is either because he inherited his mom’s cluelessness, really wasn’t paying attention, or truly doesn’t care. It appears though, based on how Lloyd reacted to his mom getting back together with the new cleansed Garmadon, that Lloyd would strongly object to Wusako. After all, it’s his mom with his uncle whom he had been living with for probably several weeks.

The second person most affected by Wusako would probably be Garmadon. having to bear the torture of seeing his wife with his younger brother. I’m sure that Garmadon would not support Wusako. (If he dies and comes back, does that mean Misako is released from her vow? After all, doesn’t the vow say ‘until death do you part’? Hmmm…whoever is in charge of Ninjago needs to rethink marriage vows. Just in case a ghost comes back or something.)

Most likely, the ninja would not be affected by Wusako too much, as they’re very busy saving the world and all, but if Wu is not out there helping them and being selfless, they have lost an ally. All they have is his knowledge now.

Overall, we have, I think, a lot of evidence in support of Wusako not needing to exist. It creates unnecessary drama and complications. I may be biased though because I never supported it in the first place. In my opinion, Misako had the potential to be a great character, but she was ruined by becoming just a love interest and a plot device.

They should have been over it by now. Misako chose Garmadon (correctly) decades ago. They haven't been around each other (I'm assuming) at the least since Lloyd was born. Garmadon turns good, and he and Wu have a good relationship.

And then Wu acts like a total CHILD when the truth about the letter comes out. The thing is, Garmadon did this under the manipulation of an evil warlord AND literal evil forcibly running through his veins. And Wu is like "Tried to kill me and my students multiple times? Awakening an ancient evil? Betraying me in the first place? Dumping your kid on me? All is forgiven. Did one minor thing that hurt only me personally? YO FRICK YOU.". Plus the fact he's basically telling Lloyd that Wu wishes Lloyd had never been born. Seriously, I expect this from Jay, a highly volatile teenager/ young adult who has a temper under the best of circumstances, NOT THE WISE TEACHER.

And then Misako is like "yeah i like this" and flirts all the time with him. After showing little to no emotion at her husband being banished to pretty much hell. And proceeding to show little to no concern about all the danger her son gets into. It's all about Wu now apparently.

So yeah, it sucks. And it's weird, and I hate whenever they allude to it. Here's a probable unpopular opinion: The only, the ONLY thing movie did right, was Koko. She was a HUGE improvement over Misako, because her focus was Lloyd. As it should have been.

TLDR: the ship is weird and uncomfortable, Wu should know better, and Misako is a probable psychopath. I for one, dislike it. It seems cute but you're watching a woman basically cheating on her husband for his brother. Not to mention, Lloyd must have something to say about it, probably feeling uncomfortable about it.

Wow, that's a really long answer, that's why I'll try to be as short as possible.

love Misako, because I watched ninjago as a child and then I fell in love with her character, like all this with Garmadon. Then I didn't notice many problems...

First of all I'm not a Wusako shipper, on the contrary, I prefer Garmadon and Misako.

I like the Misako character, but that's why I don't say she's perfect. She has a lot of her problems, but I like that. What kind of character is she without problems?

As I said before, I don't support Wusako , but somehow I like that Wu is in love with Misako. It gives both Wu and Misako some dynamics. I just don't like it when they are actually together, just that kind of tragic love of Wu for his brother's wife.

Then we get to the cheating part. Okay. in the second season it's a little weird but I can justify it. I don't like Wusako,but I'll still speak in defense because I'm a feminist.

First of all, there was nothing real between Wu and Misako, they would never actually cheat. They wouldn't do that to Garmadon.

I don't justify this, I'm just saying, it's a good idea to talk to Garmadon about it.

Again, I'm not excusing it, and it's all a mistake, but why is Fandom acting like it's unforgivable?

It's not at all, but she need to sit down with Garmadon and talk to him privately. Garmadon logically he forgives her.

Your husband left and became evil, and you have been alone for 10 years. Isn't it logical that you look for comfort in someone. Well, if it is your husband's brother, it is a bit complicated.

But I repeat, they have never committed a real fraud. In movies, we always see couples cheating, and then they forgive each other, why can't they forgive Misako?

The thing with the helmet, I think they just added it to show some interaction between them, because otherwise they wouldn't have it. But Misako did it for Lloyd so...

And all this flirting we see that she wasn't serious, because later she hugs Garmadon. Like, she just needed someone while your husband is evil.

Summary: Misako's husband turned evil and left a decade ago. She returns and now she's flirting with his brother. She doesn't commit a real act of deception, but there's something about it. It's a mistake, but we see that Misako actually loves Garmadon. So she goes back to him and Garmadon forgives her because he can't even imagine what it was like for her. Neither can you.

So she did a bad deed, but doesn't she deserve forgiveness? It's really amtfeminist that people hate her so much for it...

She's not really upset when Garmadpn dies? Not on the spot, but what do you want, for her to cry there in front of everyone? Please Legio do not do that things, I believe she was sad afterwards.

And wu seems more upset about the letter, much more than her. She seems to be just angry because of what he did to his brother.

The letter has no logic, but I thought a lot and I think I have an explanation.

I believe that there was something between Garmadon and Misako before he went to train under the Chen.

he obviously talked about her a lot when Chen knew he liked her.

Imagine you love someone, you think he loves you too, but you don't get any confirmation. No letter that thinks about you or remembers you at all.

And then suddenly you get that letter. It's weird and all, but it's not inexplicable. I'll write about it in later posts.

And she forgives Garmadon at the end. I don't see how she and Wu are later together. I don't admit it.

I mean a little flirting, but mostly on Wu's side and all. And when Garmadon came back. I won't even write about that..

Although if Garmadon is dead, they can be together, but I don't know how they are together...

Summary: Misako did some bad things and all. But that's exactly why I love her character. I don't know why people they act as if it's unforgivable and inexplicable. Such people are really anti-feminists and I don't want to argue with them.

It's fine to accuse Misako and everything, but there's so much to complain about... No.

Basically, I think they'll return Garmasako to DR u. You can look at my account, there is some proof from Mark Oliver.

I hope they give some flashbacks, they really need to explain their relationship.

Can... can we stop pretending that Wusako is bad? Like, seriously, please? I'm not a big Wusako fan, I'll say that right off the bat. But that's because I don't love Wu or Misako, particularly. I think, on the whole, they're actually a good couple. I think a lot of this hatred for Wusako comes from a similarly annoying desperation for Sensei Garmadon's return. A lot of us want life to be as it was back in season 3, with Garmadon and Misako together with their son. But that's just not going to happen. Current Garmadon is on a path to goodness again, yes, but he has expressed no interest in rekindling his relationship with Misako. He just wants to be a father to his son again. Garmadon and Misako's relationship was founded on a lie. A letter written by his brother's hand. It was never healthy, it was never truly happy, and after everything that's happened they'd be fools to try and go back to the way things used to be. Way back in season 2 Misako said OUT LOUD that she regretted choosing Garmadon. In her own words, she should've chosen Wu. She had feelings for Garm, yes, but she's always loved Wu. She's always preferred him, and I'm pretty sure in season 3 they were only still together for Lloyd's sake. But Lloyd deserves better than parents who pretend their relationship is working for his sake. He deserves parents who are honest about their feelings and happy and fulfilled in their relationships. Even if it means having relationships with other people. Maybe it's just the Survivalshipper in me talking, but I really do think they're both better off without eachother. This beating around the bush about Wu and Misako's relationship isn't actually doing anyone any good, and I think we should just stop trying to pretend it is. I know Tommy's word isn't exactly gospel but it feels worth mentioning that he said he thinks they've been in a romantic relationship since season 5. And stop pretending that Garmadon was better off as a Sensei. The persona of "Sensei Garmadon" was born from a place of guilt, of shame, of feeling that he could never be redeemed for a lifetime of evil actions. Just like current "Roomie" Garmadon, he actually had no real idea was "good" was supposed to look like, and so he modelled himself after someone he thought of as "good", his brother Wu. Wu, in turn, had modelled himself after their father. Garmadon's power naturally comes from conflict, but that power is not inherently evil, it is simply Oni. This show has a common theme of lost childhood. Of growing up too fast. Garmadon, because of the Great Devourer, lost his chance at childhood (it didn't help that the FSM treated his sons more like students than children), but simultaneously never got to "grow up". He remained immature, a fact that is blatantly obvious if you spend two seconds looking at how he acts in season 2. Whining, throwing tantrums, and just generally being childish. When he was cleansed of the venom, he forced himself to become mature, felt he had to be perfect. What Roomie Garmadon got was a second chance to grow up. No venom forcing him to be one way, no familial pressure forcing him to be another. He is still immature, but rather than force himself to be an adult, he is finally allowed to come by it naturally. He finally feels like he has a real chance at forgiveness and redemption. He allows himself to use his power because he knows that being Oni does not mean being evil. So, back to my initial point, Wusako is fine, and Garmasako is not inherently superior. It's actually better for everyone. Wu and Misako are happier together, and Garmadon is happier with just his son (and his roommate who he is definitely in love with) and a chance to understand that once he stops trying to be perfect, he can finally be good.

#I have a lot of thoughts about this #I just really want people to stop villifying Wusako and acting like Sensei Garmadon is somehow the best version of him #ALSO! Not rlly a hot take bc Im p sure everyone hates wu at this point except for like 2 people

But I think everyone overlooks how wu is such a bad mentor figure to his students and we should drag him a little bit more for that

The amount of times wu has been dis encouraging or disrespectful to the ninja when they’ve reached success or defeated a villain is absolutely astounding

He really lacks the emotional maturity to take care of 6 kids and it shows, the only time he genuinely helps them is with Zane in s1 which I do admit, is a pretty nice message

But other times he straight up doesn’t listen to them, leaves them at there absolute worst moment, or stalls them just so he could make them doubt themselves

In s1, he straight up told Kai it would be better if he didn’t reach his full potential

Like wtf dude did you learn nothing from morro? And the fact he just sides with his brother the entire time is so infuriating

Like for fuck sakes dude Garmadon kidnapped kais sister and threatened to kill her, give Kai the benefit of the doubt here.

Also in s1, he literally stalls the ninja from destroying the fangblades in the volcano RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM to lament about how he’s gonna die, like dude chill out

And don’t get me STARTED on wusako, not only was it completely disrespectful to try to get into a relationship with his brothers WIFE, but the fact that it happened all in front of Lloyd is astonishing

Like seriously dude? You have to try to get with misako in front of her kid?

And let’s not forget all wise and powerful wu over here attacks Garmadon over a LETTER that he send YEARS AGO. Like dude it’s not your choice who misako goes out with, your like 80 and getting jealous over your brother like your in 6th grade, and, let me reiterate, in front of LLOYD

Well now I need to know about ninjago ship names

okay i'd like both of you to keep in mind that you willingly stepped into this bear trap. that being SAID welcome to my twisted ninjago!

this is operating solely in show!verse btw because the movie ship names are simply piggybacking off show names. why are they piggybacking off show names you ask? good question! it's because tlnm is essentially a ninjago high school au. pretty good if consumed detached from canon is what i'm saying. i've already strayed from the topic so that's a testament to how coherent this post is gonna be. oh well.

so some background knowledge. in lego ninjago: masters of spinjitzu, each of the main characters, as well as some of the minor characters, has an elemental power. generally these are pretty simple things (fire, ice, earth, water, lightning, and... whatever lloyd's is, green/power/life/nature/spirit/etc.) which will come in handy when we implement shipping.

5 out of the 6 main characters can be shipped together in various ways (excluding kai/nya because they are siblings as well as any lloyd/ninja ships because of the age gap). now, for some ships the pre-established pattern of smushing the characters' names together is followed, such as jaya (jay/nya) or wusako (wu/misako). for other ships, however, the ninjago fandom they were going to make things more complex than just frankensteining names together.

take, for example, cole and kai. this is a ship between the elemental master of earth (cole) and the elemental master of fire (kai). what do you get when you combine earth and fire? there's a few answers, but the one the ninjago fandom settled on was lava. this means that cole/kai is called lavashipping, or lava for short. essentially the same thing happened with plasmashipping (kai and jay, elemental master of lightning), glaciershipping (cole and zane, master of ice), and some other more niche ships, such as thinkfastshipping (neuro, master of mind and griffin turner, master of speed).

"wait!" i hear you cry, "what about if the fandom can't decide on a name!" well then we end up with situations like bruise/geode. cole/jay is typically known as bruiseshipping- i can't remember whether this is due to the fact that their representative colors, black and blue, are similar to that of a bruise or whether it's because they fight a lot. either/or probably. while bruise is the typically accepted name for the ship within the fandom, there's another name based on the elemental master scheme from above. geodeshipping is the alternate name for it, because presumably putting lightning and rocks together creates geodes. idk. for someone who's mother used to be a geologist i don't know a lot about rocks.

it's the same for kai and zane, which most people call oppositeshipping. i've also heard it called steamshipping though, because of the whole fire meets ice and creates steam thing. i didn't learn that from my geologist mother though i just did well in chemistry.

"wait!" i hear you cry again, "what about people that don't have elemental powers!" well, like i mentioned earlier with wusako, sometimes people just mush their names together. however sometimes alternatives can be found that fit within the -shipping theme. ronin/dareth has been dubbed scruffshipping because, in the immortal words of artofthecol, they are both gross pathetic older men. i don't actually know the reason behind scruff as a name i just know that it's the name. other examples are techoshipping (jay and zane, bc one's a robot and the other's a tech nerd), samuraishipping (pixal and nya, because they were both samurai x), forgivenshipping (lloyd and brad, the bully from that one darkley's episode), and greencheerleader (movie!ship but WHATEVER, lloyd and chen, the bully from tlnm).

there's a few ship names that are even more confusing (mountain, blizzard, heavy metal, hailstorm, citrus, etc.) and some that are just straight up what's written on the tin. polyninja (cole/jay/kai/zane)? good shit. electricdjinnshipping (jay/nadakhan)? bad shit but at least it's tagged so i can blacklist it without having to put in 7 variations of a ship name.

"wait!" i hear you cry a third time, "how does this relate to tma? also stop using this format from 2014 tumblr posts to signal focus changes in your impromptu essay about ninjago ship names please" alrighty will do. i tagged a post about jonmartin, the dinghy, and assorted theoretical jonmartin ship names with something along the lines of "thank god we don't have the ninjago ship naming system", which while i understand it in-depth i still felt the need to write a super long post explaining it so y'all could suffer with me.

my original thought when writing this tag out last night was that a similar naming convention could be implemented by taking each avatar's fear they're aligned with and figuring out what happens when you combined them. it's similar to what we have currently with lonely eyes, peter/elias, and "sightless flame" as a name for gertrude/agnes that i saw used in a post earlier today in that it's based on the characters' powers rather than their names. HOWEVER, after a day of ruminating on this topic, i've realized that it would be nearly impossible to implement this new system because of how fast the already large fandom is growing and the amount of dedication that would be required on everyone's parts.

issue one: unaligned characters. this is the most glaring issue to me, namely because martin, one of the characters i took as an example for this, could be argued to be aligned with any of 3+ fears right now. this means that he has no definitive powers or entity tied to him. we could still go with the non-power approach: survivorshipping, because both he and jon survived the institute? teashipping, because of tea? seeingisbelievingshipping, because of the whole i see you thing (it would not be the most ridiculous ship name i've seen)? there's quite a few options, which leads into my next point.

issue two: indecisiveness. again, tma fandom is a lot bigger than the ninjago fandom already and it's growing every day. let's say you managed to find a ship with two avatars: off the top of my head, annabelle cane and daisy. not sure how that'd work in canon but whatever. annabelle's tied to the web (no pun intended) which means anything related to spiders, manipulation, lying, etc. could fit in her wheelhouse. daisy's the hunt, so anything about hunting, pursing, the thrill of the chase, so on and so forth. there's a lot of space for you to put those two together in. unfortunately, this means that it'd be hard to settle on one option that made everybody happy, and inevitably newcomers would have to decipher the ship names and possibly be spoiled by them.

[13:49] Wait a moment. How old is Garmadon, Clouse, and Chen? I am aware that questioning the timeline will get me nowhere, since, clearly, it’s a total disaster and it’ll just keep me up at night, but I do want to poke it a bit.

God, if I had to change one thing about the series, it’d be the timeline. I hear it gets worse, which is not good.

I wonder if anyone has actually rewritten the timeline to make more sense?

I wasn’t expecting a war story in this series, but here we are.

Now I think about it, the whole war was pointless, wasn’t it? The Serpentine were always going to go underground, human intervention or not.

[8:49] An alliance of the elemental masters… Lloyd was trying to reform it without even knowing. Also, hi Kai’s ancestor!

[8:38] ...Water? The elemental master of Water was never accounted for, were they?

Considering that the FSM made the world, and was alive when Garmadon was bitten? Why was he unable to reverse it? Why couldn’t someone who made the world undo something like it? Not to question someone who is basically god’s authority on here, but why the fuck couldn’t he undo the venom?

The Serpentine say they went in willingly. The Humans say they sent them in. What’s the truth, here?

It means that somebody is going to be transformed. It’s now a matter of who.

… holy shit. The snake could actually be Skylor’s mum. It’s actually less out of the question now. This has mildly terrifying implications, for sure.

Day Twenty-Five: Island of Darkness

Ugh I’m so sad I didn’t get to watch this yesterday because by the time I got home from work I was too tired ahhh

Aw Cole wants to fight cutie

Zane is just like Cole... no...

Cole: so you’re saying we get to fight? Oooo I have happy feet!

Misako: *talks about how powerful Lloyd will become*

Ninja: *looks at each other in shock and what the heck*

Misako: *says serious stuff I’m not including because I’m using the funny part not serious*

honestly, those two moments are one of my favorite team moments in the first two seasons, like I don’t know it’s just so silly and petty but it’s just so them

Jay: of course, Sensei, don’t worry! Have you ever known us to veer from a plan, huh?

Ninja: *smiles, confident, in the answer they’re expecting*

Wu / Lloyd / Misako: *deadpanned looks*

Ninja: NINJAAAAA-

Wu: shhh! Not so loud! Are you trying to get us caught?

Lloyd has to witness the awkward flirtatious looks between Wu and Misako and then asks about his dad so it eNDS

how did Wu not notice the giant Stone Warrior vehicle?

so like. Lloyd uses earth powers and turns a stone warrior into... more stone I guess but anywAYS does that mean Cole could turn things into stone too if he really wanted?? Neato and kind of terrifying which is why he probably never uses it unless I’m forgetting a moment when he does because I’m tired

Jay: I spy... another tree?

Cole: Jay, how did you ever become a ninja seriously?

Also Cole: Jay, I take back everything I said! You are a fine ninja, not finer than me but-

Awww Cole said they’d regret not saving Zane for the rest of their life and then when Kai and Jay are like ghgbwhghjhd he says “it’s Zane” and my Glacier heart (platonic and romantic) is screaming

When they talk about how they didn’t listen to Sensei when he said to stay out of sight, Zane says “why don’t we ever listen to him?”

Zane: I got us into this mess, I know how to get us out

^^ that just makes me think of the behind the scenes clip with Brent Miller when he had to do a trash ton of takes for that line haha

Yes now designated driver Cole !!! I don’t know why I care about that so much. Probably just headcanons that Cole likes driving the most

Kai’s smack talk is both the best and the worst, and I find myself laughing every time.

Okay I freaking. Teared up watching this part holy crap.

I love the music in this part. I love their new gi’s so much. I love how that whole scene went in general. The nostalgia ahh gosh I remember watching this episode when it came out on cartoon network holy crap.

also Cole has a rainbow sword. even his weapon knows that our earth babe is gay. (I saw that somewhere on tumblr one time and now I always think of that during this emotional and fantastic scene)

I love seeing them use their powers ahhh like you go hun!

Kai, Jay, and Zane have these moments where they just use their powers hardcore and then Cole just shoves his sword in the ground and the stone warriors are like bruh what and then d i r t

I laughed when they acted like the ninja they were, my heart was happy when I saw some Bruise and Glacier moments, I teared up during the “transformation”... wow. SORRY THIS ONE IS LONG I GOT EMOTIONAL !!

I'm sorry I answered this a little late, I was hoping to type up a nice coherent answer on my computer, but,, you said anything so,, mind I ramble? 👉👈🥺 I love this silly old man

Headcanons. Okay, so. He has golden eyes. He's associated with yellow and gold a lot, because of creation, but he prefers another colour. Not sure what.

Man's super short. Like, 150cm. Here is him next to Ray and Maya.

He's very fit, but not super toned and muscular. However much you'd need to be doing what he does.

More headcanons... like his dad and brother, he can purr, and is more flexible than most people. (Cause, yknow. The old fandom thing of dragon + oni= cat), and they also all have soft, floofy hair (an Oni trait). Because the dragon side is more dominant in him, he's relatively cold-blooded, and more susceptible to the cold than most people. (Makes having an extra warm best friend/boyfriend even better 🤭)

A more serious headcanon, he was relatively closed off after his father died. He was always more of an introvert, but Iza dying made the realisation hit him, that he's going to outlive people. He didn't really have many friends, until Ray basically decided this dude needed a friend. Ray got him to move past this fear, to live enjoying the now, rather than fearing the possibilities of the future. I think I worded that right. Anyway, they've been super close ever since. Unless it's an AU with Goldsmith, the only other person he's even remotely that close to is Misako.

There's only one more HC I can think of at the moment, and that's that he enjoys creative things, like art and stuff. His element probably plays a bit into that. He used to really like to paint, but doesn't do it much anymore. (There was a book that said Misako liked to paint... maybe they'd paint together and chat and have tea,,,)

There's the obvious ones, like Wusako, Spark, Goldsmith (AND. COMBINING THOSE. idk what their name would be, but,, maya/misako/ray/wu,,,), Waith (I think I've also seen it called Hopeshipping, which just makes me 🥺🥺🥺🥺), Wu/Libber, which one of my friends dubbed "CreativeShock". I'm sure that there's probably some more I might have forgotten.

I may have accidentally given him kids for three of those ships- Accidentally, because they all just popped into my head and refused to leave

I don't know if I have any random facts at the moment... apparently his favourite tea is white tea. Which I believe is the least processed type of tea. I think that might’ve been said in Wu's Teas, though, so take it was a grain of salt. (Or, since we're talking about tea.... a grain of sugar? :D)

I have,,, so many AUs focusing on him.... theres

Glacier dads au. Where Cole and Zane take baby Wu during S0G and go into hiding and just. Become his dads. It's very soft and sweet, most of the time.

Mermaid AU. Wu is a mermaid, as well as his family. He befriends, and TOTALLY doesn't fall for two humans (Ray and Maya). (But it turns out, Maya actually has mermaid ancestry, and eventually, can change forms between human and mermaid (she's an octopus mermaid, I can't remember the proper name at the moment.))

There's also a future part of that AU, where they're adults and have three kids and a house that's partially underwater. The kids can all change forms at will too. Nya is a regular mermaid, and Kai and Lar are octopi like their mama)

Band AU. Wus in an up and coming rock band with Ray, Maya, Lilly and Libber. They're called "Elements of Creation" or something, but I don't think they actually have powers fhdjsjm. This AU also has Goldsmith. They also have a little tuxedo cat whose name I forgot that Maya found and they rescued as a kitten.

Ice skater AU. Wu and Ray are together, and are figure skaters. However, duo competitions tend to be between male and female duos, so they search for another couple to have some partners for completions. Enter Maya and Misako. Begin them all falling in love 🤭

Family AU. An AU that goes along with the timeline of the show, the biggest difference being that Maya, Ray and Wu are all married. Kai and Nya live with Wu in the monastery after Ray ans Maya get taken away. Before being taken away, though, Maya had found out that she was pregnant again. She didn't get to tell her husbands before Krux took her and Ray while Wu was away, though :(

HAPPY Family AU. An alternate version of Family AU that branches off at around the time of Garmadon's banishment. He doesn't get banished, Ray and Maya don't get taken, and as little angst as possible happens. Lar gets to grow up with his siblings, who get to grow up with all three of their parents. Zane and Morro also get adopted. The kids get to spend lots of time with their cousin Lloyd. Oh, Ray's mother is also still alive, so the kids have their grandma! They call her Nanny :) that's what we called my paternal grandma, and. I think autumn deserves that honour :)

Alternate Timeline AU. Garmadon doesn't sign Wu's letter, and this event prompts him to leave Chen. Wu and Misako adopt Morro, and get married. Jun is in this AU :)

That's all the recent ones I can think of off the top of my head. There's also the LCA AU, Canon Divergent AU and Fantasy AU, but I haven't really touched those in years. OH and the Superhero AU. I'd like to get back to some of those but. Idk they kinda make me cringe since they're from like. Four years ago.

OH he's also heavily involved in Single Mamasako AU. He helps Misako with Lloyd whenever he can, even when he starts training the ninja. ....there's also an alternate version of that AU where he and Misako get together,, and I have also been thinking of a kinda AU that goes along with the show, where they become a thing .... around after s10? Idk I only thought of it the other day because. I love them. Wusako is cute and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

...okay I think. I've rambled enough dhdjsje sorry. I just. I love Wu and he occupies my thoughts constantly.
