Skull Crusher - A term for a headmate that is antagonistic, aggressive, apathetic, and defensive. As well as holding beliefs of misanthropy towards external people.

Skull Crushers are always the first (or one of the first) to react in situations where the system and/or a fellow headmate may feel attacked and will react with hostility always. Their idea of a solution in moments such as these may be to piss the other person off more than them and make them hate you, purposefully, to ensure they’ll never hold the idea of contact again.

Said headmate can fall under roles (all simultaneously) such as prosecutor, anger-holder, aggressor, protector, apathy-holder and guardian.

Kinda cluster b-aligned, though, wasn’t intentional and is for anyone to use.

No! 👍

The US higher education system sounds much too toxically competitive for me (based on many, many conversations with fellow scholars and students), the experts I want to work with are not necessarily there, it's unlikely that I would write about a US-centric topic anyway, and in many European countries, a PhD is a job where you get paid a decent salary to be a researcher.

#then there is the. you know. the current situation.#living in europe is superior for me personally for many reasons #not to mention the us fees at an equivalently high-ranked university would be absolutely astronomical to me as a foreigner #yes i know there are fully funded phds in the us but “fully” is often a bare minimum thing #and you have to teach/ta while doing your research #and you have to compete for the scholarships/funding that would really count #and often the funding is limited to us citizens #and there's no particular need for me to be there anyway #so... 🤷‍♀️#gradblr

Oh look, it seems everyone has been opted into the unfortunate "experiment" now. For everyone who has been blissfully using the old UI up until now, welcome to hell :)

Do you not like hell? Do you want to leave and crawl back up into the sunlight of the old UI? Well, have I got a link for you! A beautiful tumblr user (who is not me) has gone and fixed things beautifully for you already: https://github.com/enchanted-sword/dashboard-unfucker

You will need to have Tampermonkey installed on your browser of choice, and once that's done, just go to the github link above, and peruse the readme to install. And voila! You have your old dash back!

The authors of XKit Rewritten said during the experiments that at the time, since this was an "experiment" they weren't going to implement anything to revert to the old UI (although who knows if they'll do it now). And the dashboard unfucker has worked beautifully enough for me to where I genuinely couldn't tell if they had ended the experiment or not.
