The water was warm where it cascaded against Alec’s hips.Despite it being past midnight, the moon hanging high in the sky, reflecting itsbeauty in the waves below, the water wasn’t freezing. Alec supposed that wasthe benefits of being on their own private island on the right side of theequator.

He felt, and saw, the water rippling towards him andextending out in front of him, but he didn’t move from where he was watchingthe night sky. He knew who it was, and he felt safe.

Strong arms circled around his waist, a warm chest pressingagainst his back, causing him to sigh softly and lean back into the man behindhim. He felt Magnus hook his chin over his shoulder, a light scratch from hisgoatee causing a shiver to run through him.

“What are you doing?” Magnus whispered, not wanting to ruinthe serenity of the moment.

“Watching the stars.” Alec turned around in his arms so theywere face to face, noses close to brushing together, their legs tangling in thesea below them. “But I quite like this view a lot better.”

“You’re a sap.”

“Mm, but that’s why you married me.”

Magnus grinned, pulling Alec in for a deep kiss, the two gettinglost in the feel of each other’s mouths. Magnus’ hands pulled Alec in closerand closer, till it felt like they were just one. After a while, Alec pulledback and pushed away to swim around his husband.

“You just gonna stand there, or are you gonna swim with me?”

“I don’t know, Mr Lightwood-Bane, you might have to convinceme.”

“Oh, I can certainly do that, Mr Lightwood-Bane.” Alecsplashed Magnus, making him gasp in shock, and sending him a glare that would makemost men coward away.

“Oh, it’s on.”

The two spent the next hour, swimming around each other,laughing and splashing the other, and stealing kisses under the watchful eye ofthe moon.

I mean I get it to a certain level, I’m all about alec & aline and alec & maia and alec & luke for that matter but idk it just annoys me that simon & magnus gets pushed aside tbh especially since they have such good (friend) chemistry on screen :/ eh I’m probably just salty as hell😂

magnus and simon already have some interaction and a strong bond imo so that's why people aren’t pushing hard because the brotp is already there? but i’ve seen people talk about them too. they indeed have amazing chemistry and im sure we’ll see more of them. the basic logic behind pushing any possible alec brotp is because again he really has NO friends outside of his family and bf. he really didn't make any friends. magnus has friends but we just need to see them more and we know they're doing that in s3 anyway. and tbh i really didn't see much simon & alec enthusiasts anyway. everyone i follow is mainly dying to see alec & maia and when you think of alisha & matt’s chemistry at nycc they have to deliver that tbh. also compared to other possible alec brotps, simon really isn't mentioned that much. and it has nothing to do with alec being white tbh as you said in your tags.
