Guilt [Zandik x Sohreh fanart collaboration with @clavdere]

This time I have something very special to show you! Me and my friend Claude (clavd_ on Instagram, @clavdere on tumblr - he's a very skilled artist and I highly advise to visit his profile) managed to create an artwork for Zandik and Sohreh! Their story is uncertain and we wanted to capture many conflicting feelings here. Contrary to popular rumors, it's unclear if Zandik has something to do with his classmate's death. When you sprinkle it with a bit more tragedy and drama, you can see much more blurry picture of events. Similarly, blending our styles was a challenge, but we really love the final effect!

I feel like if Dottore is Zandik, there is a big possibility he was set up as Soreh's killer.

We've seen plenty of corruption in the current Akademiya, imagine how much worse it was back then, and then how much it would affect him that once he started opening up to someone, they get killed and he's expelled.

He's also not a sadist but someone who believes the end justifies the means, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be the killer.

I suppose it merely means that I'm married to my work, and part of my work, the most enjoyable one at that, has to do with ancient mechanical life forms and such, like Ruin Guards. Now... Am I romantically or sexually attracted to these machines?

Well... Comparing to Sohreh herself who obviously had such intention towards me, of course. But generally, I do not see the point in all this. I never understood why people seem to enjoy such things in general. It is all for reproduction after all, isn't it...?

I cannot reproduce with these machines now can I? I mean my late clones, considering how I built them, can be regarded as my progeny with machines but...

Oh, why did you have to impose such thoughts into my precious brain?! How dare you? This brain was meant for greater things... *sigh*

Anyway I hope this answers your question. I have to think about this more myself. But for now, I simply say... I do not understand the concept of romance. And forgive me for being so blunt... Why fuck a machine or even a person when I can literally fuck up the whole Sumeru or the entirety of Teyvat? Hm?

My love for the animation Stairway to Heaven by Kieru is for me it would not let me rest until I draw Sohreh and Zandik in this version. You can watch Kieru's animation HERE on YouTube. I madly love Segment 129 (rest in peace little guy)! We all long for something. Each of us has dreams. And every beautiful one can quickly turn into a nightmare. What if heaven or hell is merely the last state of our consciousness, which we accept and remember with our last breath? At this point, the last memory can be either suffering or love.

Even though I haven't played genshin in 3 or 4 years, I really enjoyed this animation!

Who would have thought that someone could combine genshin, backrooms, and analog horror so well!

One of my favorite elements in this animation is, of course, Columbina:

The combination of the angelic biblical image with the creepy church music and the abnormal corridors of the backrooms is just something to behold!

My second favorite element is these two:

(dottore and sohreh)

In fact their dynamic or even vibe reminds me more of Viktor and Sky, which is why I liked them so much in this animation.

If not comparing them to my good Skyvik, I liked how through the photography and fleeting moments with them, we were shown how Dottore is so human in this animation.

Like, even taking a frame of the photo, it already tells us that Dottore treasured that photo. He treasured the memories of Sohreh...
