It's a common question whether the luncheon meat sold in the market is safe for the little one; I think it should be listed in the all-time forbidden foods list. It's extremely salty (be it sodium salt or potassium salt), and most of them is added with food additives like sodium nitrite (which gives the meat the appealing pinkish color).

So it's much safer to make it in our own kitchen, here's a very simple luncheon meat recipe, with added carrots and spring onions to introduce a dash of sweetness, aroma & flavor.

This recipe is suitable for 9+month, however, do note that wheat flour and egg were used; these are the common allergens, so avoid this recipe if your baby is allergic to these ingredients. You may cut this into stick shape & offer it as finger food.

Ingredients.

Chicken (or any other meats of choice) 60g

1/2 tsp Nanimom Shiitake Mushroom Powder

1/2 tsp Nanimom Chicken Powder

All-Purpose Flour 10g

Egg x1

Carrot 20g

Spring onions 4g

一般媽媽們有一個疑問，就是市場販賣的午餐肉適合給孩子吃嗎？答案是不適合而且應該列在禁買清單裡。市售的午餐肉一般上都含非常高的鹽分，而且都會加入化學添加物，例如讓肉維持美美的粉色的亞硝酸鈉。

所以給孩子吃的話，還是自己動手做會比較安全。可以試試看這個簡易的午餐肉食譜，除了用鷄肉之外，我也加入了胡蘿蔔和青葱來增添一絲甜味和香氣。

這個食譜適合九個月或以上的寶寶，要注意的是這個食譜含有小麥麵粉或鷄蛋（蛋黃和蛋白），若是寶寶對蛋或小麥有過敏的話就要避免了。寶寶在進行自主進食訓練的話，可以把午餐肉切成條狀方便寶寶手握。

用料：

鷄肉 60g

1/2 tsp Nanimom 鮮香菇粉

1/2 tsp Nanimom 鮮鷄粉

中筋麵粉 10g

鷄蛋 x1

胡蘿蔔 20g

青葱 4g

A challenge I used to have with Shuri is getting her to eat solids. I had all the baby food and she just wouldn't eat it.
