Solo spoilers.
Listen. I am a huge... HUGE.. Darth Maul fan, love him to bits because he has so much potential, he is just one of the Star Wars characters that would have such a good movie plot because he's been through a lot and he's seen every side of the Galaxy, and he's fought the entire way.
This snippet of Maul was priceless, and I really hope they don't waste this opportunity.
Tumblr media
Hopefully he appears more in action either in #Solo2 or he finally gets his own film.
*ik hoping for a Maul film is a stretch but work with me here, last sight I had of Maul was the end of Rebels okay 😭*

For #sundayfunday I saw the #solostarwarsstory and I really liked it! The action was well paced, the characters were well crafted and the visuals were excellent as all #starwars films have been from the start. I recently learned that there is a lot of lore that was changed from books/comics to the film, but for someone without that experience I really enjoyed myself. . . . #moviesunday #solomovie #igdaily #instadaily #movierecommendation #sundaymovie #starwarsstory #solostarwars #hansolo #movieposter #saturated #solo

33 Undeniably Cool Facts About Star Wars
Tumblr media
Did you watch Solo: A Star Wars Story last week? Or are you planning to watch it soon? Well, what I can say is just by watching Solo, I reminisced all the previous Star Wars Movies and my favorite scenes about it. You can say that it is my favorite and maybe yours too! These are some quick facts and trivia that you should know about Star Wars: All Star Wars films were released on the week after George Lucas’ Birthday. More than six different people have played Darth Vader. Wow. Tupac Shakur, the rapper, tried to audition for the role of Mace Windu. Yoda is a very mysterious character. We don’t know what type of species he belongs to, and sometimes his toes can change in every movie. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, be very observant. Remember those cute, furry creatures in Return of the Jedi? Yes, the army of Ewoks were initially named as Wookies, but George Lucas went to change it. We learned about their names (the Ewoks) in the script descriptions and other post-production events because it was never really mentioned in the movie. James Bond had a cameo for Revenge of the Sith. Darth Maul only spoke three lines in the Phantom of the Menace. Not a single clone trooper’s helmet or costume was created in the Revenge of the Sith; it was all CGI. They used potatoes and shoes for the asteroids behind the background in the 4-6 films.

Donald Glover is a huge fan of Star Wars and owns action figures. Ron Howard directed Solo. Solo is also a ‘standalone’ film. Harrison Ford was actually a trained professional pilot, and he taught Daisy Ridley some tips on how to look ‘legit’ while riding ships in the Return of the Jedi. Mark Hamill played old Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi at the age of 63, the same age as Sir Alec Guinness' when he played Ben Kenobi in the first movie. That scene in Attack of the Clones where Padme and Anakin were all romantic in the fields actually had so many bugs flying that the production team had to erase each and every visible one post-production. Not that much of a perfect scene, huh? Plus, fact #16 took weeks to finish! Wow! Disney bought Star Wars in a stacking 4 billion dollars. After Mark Hamill finished his acting for the first three films of the Star Wars franchise, he actually became a successful voice actor. That’s why you've never seen his face in the past 30 years. There is an R2-D2 Builders Club where superfans are commissioned to make real-life R2-D2’s for the films.
Tumblr media
The Star Wars theme song also has a disco version created by Meco. It stayed on the top in billboard charts. You should check it out - it’s very funky! Yoda’s eyes were inspired by Albert Einstein’s eyes. Darth Vader has his own theme song, and that is the Imperial March, written by John Williams. Remember when Darth Vader met his son Luke Skywalker? Yeah, Vader’s line is often mistaken as “Luke, I am your father,” when it’s supposed to be “No, I am your father.” George Lucas used to want Orsen Walles as the voice actor for Darth Vader. Darth Vader has only 12 minutes screen-time in A New Hope. Don’t tell but Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher used to have an affair during their filming in A New Hope. Ford was married at that time. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” is the only constant line said in every movie. This is random, but you might not know this; Darth Maul has ten horns in his head. Yeah, count it again the next time you see him on screen. It took about six to ten people to work on the full-size Jabba the Hutt.
Tumblr media
The Phantom Menace is the First Star Wars Film released on DVD. Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep and Diana Ross were also strongly considered for the role as Princess Leia. Dwarves were originally cast to play R2-D2. However, after three dwarves complained that the costume was too hot (with one overheating fatally), the producers agreed to cast a midget. The difference between midgets and dwarves is that midgets are much more heat resistant than dwarves (the terms 'dwarf' and 'midget' are actually very offending for people in this condition nowadays). There you have it! Now go and watch the latest Star Wars film. Or, if you've already watched the movie, go and rate it so you can recommend the movie to others. Whatever you do, May the Force be with you! Read the full article

#StarWars I don't expect #SoloStarWars to be one of the best Star Wars films compared to #RogueOne or #TheForceAwakens. Rogue One was the best Star Wars movie because the heroes all die in a horrible war because that's what happens in war. But there's only one hero that always stay alive. When He died, he got risen from the dead. #God #Jesus #HolySpirit #JesusIsLord #JESUSisRisen #NationalSuperHeroDay #FridayFeeling #FlashbackFriday #FridayMotivation #Christian #Catholic #Catolico #inspire #inspiration

Why are People Giving Bad Ratings for Solo: A Star Wars Story?
Tumblr media
As a devoted superfan of Star Wars, I felt the usual excitement towards knowing that a new Star Wars movie is coming up. I tried my best not to open any reviews from Rotten Tomatoes or any other websites that wrote an analysis. But as I finally watched the movie, left the cinema, processed Solo in my brain, and went home reading a review from the ‘said’ websites, I kind of understood (or maybe didn’t) why Solo was given such "harsh" ratings. Other People’s Opinions (Don’t Be Triggered) I admire the amount of work that is placed in every Star Wars Film; each movie is made out of creativity and magnificence. It never fails to give the audience that certain hype as we see what could be beyond our own world and unravel what life would be like living with other rationale creatures (like us) while being in one galactic empire. As much as I would love to annoyingly speak my love for Star Wars, some risks are there to take while criticizing one of the most historical films that ever existed in the world of Hollywood. Carefulness is the key with this one.
Tumblr media
I understand why some people think that the movie is playing safe and they didn’t feel that much of a kick in the plot (it feels sad that some people think like this but an opinion is an opinion). With no bias aside, if I ever became someone else and am not that hyped about Solo, the movie would be like the third action movie you watched right after two really awesome and sickening action movies. Therefore, people think it's fine, it doesn’t suck, but you don’t have to watch it. An article I read said that Solo was the take-out cheeseburger that you ate in the middle of the night knowing how unnecessary it was because you ate a scrumptious dinner hours before (I think that it was pretty clever how this writer described his feelings towards the film but then I don’t think the same way). People felt neutral about it, even the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes said that only 58 percent agreed that the movie is good. It was characterized as one of the movies with the potential to put you to sleep while being in the cinema. Even though this movie has been subjected as boring by half of the audience, we could say that the trouble in the production phase could be the probable root of ‘mediocrity’. Two of the main directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller exited the team halfway of the film’s progress. It is even said that Miller and Lord’s style of filmmaking did not match the Lucasfilm’s franchise, that’s why another director had to switch their place.
Tumblr media
The tea is spilled but can we talk about Alden Ehrenreich’s performance as young Han Solo? He does have the reputation to ooze women by his charming looks, but people are speculative about his acting. “He didn’t really pull off the Harrison Ford vibe,” they said and he didn’t look so badass in the movie. But the acting in the film wasn’t really questioned by 'said analyses' because people were just slightly devastated with the plot and thought that Solo could’ve been way better. My Opinion (Don’t Be Triggered) Another disclaimer: Spoiler Ahead I have enumerated the verdicts of people, but I want to voice why I’m ‘pro-Solo’. I can simply say that I loved EVERYTHING about the film. I was sitting on the edge of my seat as young Han Solo tries to succeed every heist that he gets into. Almost cried three times and had an overwhelming feeling as Solo and Chewbacca finally met (a duo that is lucky enough to find a lifetime of friendship). Seeing Lando Calrissian being the notorious gambler in defeat and Emilia Clarke just being naturally beautiful. Maybe I am just the type of person who is easily amused or occasionally jumpy, but I do know that I don’t feel that Solo: A Star Wars Story is not at all an unnecessary movie to watch. It’s not the cheeseburger that you ate in the middle of the night and felt very guilty. And most of all, it’s not the third action movie that is overshadowed by impressive action movies before it. I am overjoyed that I watched Solo and also grateful that they made it. You might think that I might be a little too defensive in my review, but there is no way I intend to brutally oppose half of the audience who thumbs down on the movie. I am very open with the opinions from others. I can’t help but admire how Star Wars is still alive and kicking after approximately 41 years. Because of its success, it even has its own holiday (May the fourth be with you!). Young and old generations of fans are still raising their lightsabers up high. I hope and pray that Star Wars will never burn-out. Read the full article
